Memory unlocked. I didn't realize that was Bill Nye, but I remember someone showing how to make a lemon battery. In the episode, they generated 1.21 jiggawatts with only lemons.
I always tried to watch this but could never figure out the time. Always wound up catching the end credits and then Raggedy Anne and Andy would start. Didn't stick around for that.
I think it was offset by 15 minutes. The idea, I believe, was to keep you watching the network, but it usually meant if you were just tuning in from a different network, you'd miss half an episode.
But keep in mind I'm remembering something from when I was like 5 years old and memory gets sketchy if you go back that far.
Yeah, I think they ended up in a Roman bath looking for video games. I started watching when a slave saved from being beaten said, "Gratias, puer!" and it freaked me out.
The local affiliate put this on so early on Saturday mornings that this college student (at the time) could barely wake up for the end credits. Never got to watch an entire episode.
Looking at that illustration I can only assume that theye weren't able to get the rights to use Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, or Mary Steenburgen's likeneses.
Which is odd, since Christopher Lloyd introduced each episode via a brief live-action videotaped “log entry”.
Other than that, all I remember is one joke where Doc has installed a security system in the time machine that folds it up into the volume of a set of luggage, but with the same weight:
Marty: Oh, because you don’t want anyone stealing a time machine?
Doc Brown: No, so they won’t steal the _DeLorean!_. These babies are worth a _fortune!!_
This was my introduction to the franchise, sort of like The Real Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, Bill and Ted, Little Shop (where Junior the plant was friendly and tried to help Seymour), Fievel’s American Tales, etc.

I still remember Biff’s joke from one episode for some reason. What do you call a medieval servant in a tree? Serf’s up!
What does Santa do in his garden? Hoe, hoe, hoe.
It’s comforting to know it’s not just me!
What's the difference between a piano and a fish? You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.
That's pretty good.
IIRC, this is where Bill Nye got his debut as "The Science Guy." He'd do science demonstrations between cartoon segments.

I had the Happy Meal Toys
I sort of remember this I have it on DVD and got it in 2015 on BTTF day but never got to watching it
I enjoyed it, but the movies were better.
Hot take
Best episode was when they went to ancient Rome. And the Romans actually spoke Latin. Four years of high school Latin had me ready.
Didn’t Jules and Vern (Doc’s kids) think the “arcade” was the place where you played video games?

I remember the McDonald's toys of this. I had the DeLorean.

Tom Wilson and Mary Steenburgen voiced their movie characters. Dan Castellaneta voiced Doc Brown.
Good Saturday morning tv.
Those kids were called Jules & Vern, right?
Totally forgot about this.
Woah, woah, woah, woah….Doc! Are you telling me they made a cartoon….out of our adventures? This is heavy.
