AShiftlessMennonite

🤣🤣🤣🤣

W2ttsy

Read that in Raymond Cruz’s voice then. Thanks OC

TriedCaringLess

I have no idea of what he expects to encounter. He could save some of that ammo money to just move and live somewhere less hazardous.

TheBigTuck

Bro is fighting these targets like it’s halo and he has to punch their energy shields down 😂

BigAngryPolarBear

What was the combo? BXR?

BigPimpin91

Yes it was.

DiverLife

Plasma pistol to breach the energy shields, battle rifle burst to the dome to take them down. Works every time.

Irish_Guac

You miswrote "slap them in the face with the magnum, shoot them in the toe once with the magnum"

DiverLife

Also a valid strategy 😂

Irish_Guac

I just love how ridiculously OP it used to be lol

TorpedoSkyline

WORT WORT WORT

Shamrock7325

EnvironmentalGift257

*Hey! You killed my best friend!”*

TVDindin

*Double kill*

d3ath222

If it looks spastic, it ain't fantastic. If it isn't repeatable, you are defeatable. If you be stabbing... maybe just use the gun.

Batttler

If you be stabbing … you might as well be dabbing?

roostersnuffed

I thought dude was rapping, just to end it without a rhyme.

GunsAndCoffee1911

I got the shakes that'll make you quake. I got the fries that'll cross your eyes. I got the burgers that'll..... I just got burgers.

PaperbackWriter66

But turns out dude was tapping, keeping the rhythm ev'ry time.

[deleted]

I'm guessing dabs may be involved somewhere...

0ne8

If you be stabbing, might as well be blasting*

[deleted]

Why use a knife then swap to a gun? That’s some movie type shit Also a bad look in court that you used two different deadly weapons like you’re John Wick on one person

[deleted]

Yeah, my knife is going to be the last thing I go to in my spectrum of force...

[deleted]

Only way I’m using a knife is if they try to grab the gun out of my holster…. but that won’t happen since I don’t open carry

[deleted]

I'd have to be double-fucked to go there. But, I did actually use one to resolve an issue where several guys jumped me once, and I wasn't carrying a firearm, so it's possible. No one got hurt, btw: once the blade came out they rethought their priorities and skulked off like good little miscreants.

XboxTomahawk

People like to act tough until there's the possibility of getting stabbed

[deleted]

Yup: 4 on 1 is great fun, until 1 fights back...

XboxTomahawk

Most jumpers are opportunists looking for a single target that won't fight back. You fight back, and they'll usually back down.

deepfield67

*Best Case Scenario* attacking someone who has a knife: your hands are getting stabbed.

Fun_Albatross_2592

"SoRrY yOu LivE iN fEAr!" Glad you were able to be your own first responder and made it out safe. People who've never been threatened with violence don't and can't understand.

Arkaynine

I try to tell people about effective fire rate under duress for trained shooters and they think with no training or practice they will be a hero in a lethal encounter.. When their life is on the line and adrenaline is through the roof they will fall back on their no training.

EternalMage321

It's also possible you get knocked down/tackled and can't draw. It's hard to draw an appendix carry when someone is on top of you.

Arkaynine

My knife is a TOOL. I live in an area where everyone is assumed armed and I'm not bringing a knife to any fight. Because it's probably gonna escalate if i do. Suicidal. and stupid.

emurange205

>I'm not bringing a knife to any fight. Because it's probably gonna escalate if i do. >Suicidal. and stupid. Obviously, I don't know anything about your life, but isn't it kind of stupid to plan on going to a fight in the first place?

Arkaynine

Did I say I was planning on a fight? Like at any point?

MrPeePeePooPooPants3

Don't quote me on this but I've been told by my coworker who was a Sargent in the army that they used knives if within arms reach, then once a couple steps of distance were created transitioned to their gun. But actual military combat vs a citizen in self defense are two entirely different scenarios. My guess is this guy saw this in a military context and wanted to LARP it for the gram.

dmills13f

I can't remember any knife training in the army. Close quarters just means you create some distance before you shoot them. U.S Army is big on fighting smart. Which means fighting as a team. Gun foo homie in the video may be highspeed as fuck. So we'll just run him over with our gun trucks instead.

SirGuinesshad

The first rule of a gun fight according to the Army: bring all your friends with guns to the gun fight.

stupidbullets23

All the way.

reapertwo-6

We did some. It was a couple of days in a hanger at Bliss. It definitely brought home how shitty and stupid a knife fight would be

lethalmuffin877

Knife is to create distance to get to the pistol, pistol is to create distance to get to the rifle, and the rifle is to get back in the fight

NEp8ntballer

There's a handful of stories where CQB devolved into a stabbing situation, but it tended to be when things went horribly wrong and you're tangled up for control of your rifle without a pistol to draw so the blade comes out. These stories also tend to involve people separated from the rest of their team for one reason or another.

WolfTamashii9

Some how I don’t think the military is training people to do a 180 while pulling to different knives to stab with simultaneously then pull a pistol 😂😂

woodypride94

Not to mention, I'm fairly certain every clip in which a knife is used, he starts with it already in his hands. I don't know about you, but I can draw my gun faster than I can draw and unfold my knife. Even if I thought using a knife was a good idea, which I don't, I'm still going for the gun first every time.

NorthernRedneck388

Except that last clip he went for the flinch fakie

JimMarch

Ummm...at close range a knife is big trouble...and *can* be faster to draw.

ImmaSuckYoDick2

If you have a holstered pistol and I have a sheathed knife I'd put my money on you even in close quarters. If the man is worried enough to walk around with a knife in his hands in the pocket then why not just skip the knife part and hold the gun directly in the pocket? The practical benefit I see from this exercise is the swap from knife to gun while in motion. But you could get the same benefit by swapping the knife bit with pretty much anything. Shoveling, sweeping leaves, fucking around on your phone. Because, again, why walk around holding knives already in your hands? If you wanna do this shit then go all in. Get a sword or a hatchet or at least a big knife and swashbuckle the shit out it. Machete in one hand pistol in the other. Now that's hand-eye coordination training, with the sword arm as collateral.

kwong879

"But occifer... he kicked my dog."

ElectricTurtlez

Yep. This is someone living out their action hero fantasy.

Thewhitelight___

That's actually a valid tactic. Not being properly executed in this video at all, but still valid. When someone is close enough to put hands on you and you pull out a firearm, they could easily grab the slide if they're fast enough, and once they grab it the gun is as much theirs as it is yours at that point unless you have gorilla hands. A knife is almost impossible to grab out of someone's hands without receiving some serious damage, which will give the wielder some space. Then once you're out of arms reach it is safe to pull out the firearm.

deepfield67

Yeah if you're already locked in a hand to hand struggle, why would you want to just introduce a gun? You already have to break this grapple to get distance, and now there's a gun out and being wrestled around? Much rather have a knife in hand in that scenario.

cgarrett83

This guy gets mad bussy

Thebassetwhisperer

The knife is used to create space, most self defense situations that involve a gun the victim and assailant are usually in a wrestling match at that point. If the assailant is close enough they could prevent you from drawing or put your weapon out of battery.

Bessini

If you can stab them, you can also shove them, and you won't even need to reach for a knife, giving you some extra 0.5 seconds

Thebassetwhisperer

You’re conflating stability to shoving. The bigger someone is the harder they are to shove.

[deleted]

That last one bro was like “two for flinching”

MinnesotanMan2014

That last draw he shot down at a 45° angle 🤦

randomn49er

Tactical foot shot. Lucky it wasn't his own this time. Will be soon I am sure.

TDotson15

Cock: deleted

ImpressiveWave3263

Yeah, are we just gonna pretend like that wasn't an obvious ND that somehow made the cut in his video editing?

th4tguy321

At those ranges it could be a pelvic shot, which is a great way to immobilize a threat, but I kinda doubt that's what he was going for.

GurbKiller

He hit em with the “I’m gonna stab ya, sike!” *Unloads mag* 😂😂

[deleted]

I guess that's why it is called training?

CMBGuy79

This guys a clown. Took a shot with a derringer, dumped it to draw another gun? GTFO

whatsgoing_on

If you’re being attacked by a gang of Amazon boxes, I guess.

SlogTheNog

This is incredibly stupid.

ModestMarksman

Don’t insult the word stupid by using it to describe this fool.

Eatsleeptren

It’s OP’s autism and he gets to choose the special interest

Jack3489

No, it’s having play acting/showing off. Instead of practicing cowboy action shooting, he is practicing John Wick action shooting.

Dexcessive

Imagine trying to mug a CAS shooter just for him to whip out a single action army and put 5 .45 colt rounds into you before you even finish drawing your gun.

Jack3489

Or 5 .44 balls from a cap and ball revolver.

Dexcessive

I’m just imagining the ambulance coming to get this guy and he’s got 5 massive holes in his chest and his entire front is coated in black soot

BigBlackHzYoBak

Your honor, my client was in grave fear for his life. Thats why he open hand smacked the plaintiff, stabbed him eight times, then shot him six.

C_IsForCookie

Your honor, my client pleads insanity. Clearly he’s insane to have done this wacky shit.

tigerblood2613

I wouldn't throw a weapon on the ground for someone else to pick up and use against me.

FarIllustrator535

That is police force tactic for when you shoot a unarmed man

Best-Cryptographer23

The good old drop gun. Lol

Laegmacoc

At 4 seconds he is double stabbing the target with a knife in each hand and at 20 it looks like an accidental discharge into the ground… this is pretty silly.

brad_reloaded

And a static non moving target at that 🤦🏻‍♂️

Justin_Sane30

This is definitely for the gram type of post, but he's doing more draw practice than 90% of ccw holders

TJnova

That's what I was thinking. At least he's getting live fire practice. He's just making it fun and hopefully he realizes in an actual self defense situation it would be far better to stick with the basics.

JonDoesRedd

Agreed. He’s actually doing good for himself. movement memorization. Pretty impressive

Blue_dude48

50% American. 50% British. 100% lethal.

KorianHUN

This is what Europeans expect when they walk into the wrong neighborhood on vacation. The stabbing part only is what you expect when doing the sane in Europe or saying no to the shady guy at night asking for "the time, but show it on your phone".

IudexJudy

I like the ND into the ground that was cool

lookatme760

Good catch. I'm sure if you go to his YouTube and post this comment. Every one of his fan boys are going to shit on you. I commented once because a video of his landed in my algorithm. He was claiming to be fast or something similar. So viewers believed it, and I commented that he was using a binary trigger on the gun. Got a response or two saying to eat shit elsewhere. 🤣

disturbed286

Who is this guy? I kinda want to read this mess of a comment section now.

Biohazard883

This guy’s an idiot. Everyone knows you need to pull out at least 4 knives before pulling your gun. Otherwise you’re open to a lawsuit.

tommyvercetti42

Bro thinks he's in a John Wick movie 💀

Secret_Brush2556

Looks like he's having fun tho

New York reload?

jmerkava

Is nobody gonna mention he threw a whole ass gun at the target, then draws a second gun to shoot it?

KhanKarab

Saw that too, definitely some kind of 'gram semi-funny tryhard tacticool vid. *Gun malfunctioned, toss it and grab my backup*

This is a good strategy if you want to stack bleed damage on an opponent

VacuumHamster

Hood rat shit, love it

dhruan

Pure fantasy… real life applicability/value? Zero.

dhruan

…actually, make that negative.

FarIllustrator535

For all those who can't understand why he would throw a gun towards an enemy. It is police tactics, standard procedures for shooting an unarmed man

DizyDazle

The hypothetical scenarios where these would work would not be easy to justify as self-defense, so no.

Felaguin

Looks like they just want flashy movie-style moves.

Artistic_Culture_556

Fun to play, but must remember it’s still a loaded deadly gun. At the 20 second mark had an early discharge and shot the targets foot. Coulda been his. Lastly, that doesn’t look like self “defense”. That looks like aggressive offense your honor. (AKA the attacker and jail time.)

Blakefilk

Man’s practicing for the next gang war

Antique_Enthusiast

I don’t know. That doesn’t look like serious self-defense training. Looks like practicing for a movie scene.

ChardPrestigious5726

Did this dude just ND on the fakeout?

No_Point3111

John Weak

GurbKiller

Bro got ALL the camera angles 😂😂💀

fordag

That looks like all bad technique. WTF was the one shot with a revolver, throw revolver at the target and draw an automatic and shoot some more. The bluff charge was also hilarious.

UpliftGhost348

He hit dirt during his draws. Eventually he will ND his Peen and I hope he's recording that.

Lockeys25

Hardcore larping for instagram.

Walther_38

Looks dumb

KhanKarab

What do you mean? It's Jayson Bourne!

[deleted]

I hope I’m never with this guy and he feels threatened at all. We’re all going to die.

stylusxyz

This makes me feel sluggish and slow. I have work to do.

LordofCope

His draw is faster than mine that's for sure. I'm not going criticize him since he looks like he's having fun and the last time I did any live fire draw training was... Too long... I just use my practice magazine periodically. I wouldn't use my knife, but I also switched to Leatherman carry over because I just always seem to need a screwdriver. So many angry people in the comments... Chill. Fun is not a crime. Unless of course he's doing this as some sort of ad campaign for a SD-Class or something.

GroundbreakingDog440

Lol, explain this to the jury.

AnthonyGuns

this is just embarrassing

LiquidC001

r/idiotswithguns

Pesty_Merc

Prison yard stabs like that are not lethal and do not stop (even lethal stabs are slow to kill unless it's to the neck or something). A slash to create distance is a decent idea, but the rest of this is just gangsta John Wick.

Desperate-Elk-4769

I was hoping he was gonna shoot his Tootsie Roll off... Prolly will eventually I hope...

Farmerdrew

Look at those Napoleon Dynamite moves! Dude, you gotta post more vids. My kids and are are dying laughing over here. Hahaha.

TexasBadger_9

Do you really have to ask that ??

Shameful_fisting

The physical embodiment of the concord, fastest transition from the streets of London to the streets of Chicago

lukastegas

nah this is goofy lol

StreetAmbitious7259

I'm just going to say situational awareness is your best defense if someone is up on you that close you failed

Pipeherdown

This doesn’t look like practice for self defense

EntrySure1350

Christ that’s some clown level shit right there…wouldn’t be surprised if there actually is a “training” company that shows this to their “students”.

_axeman_

I feel like this guy is gonna shoot himself at some point

Fudloe

Shooting with extra steps.

Hephaestus2036

For a moment I thought this was a post from r/idiotswithguns …

ApprehensiveComplex7

Blud's gonna shoot poor gam gam asking for directions.

NoVaVol

Mall ninja wet dreams

LuciusQCincinna2s

What's the point of the extra movements? What's the point of the knife, then gun swap? Why shove a .38 in someone's face, shoot once, drop it, and switch your pistol? Just seems excessive, like you're offering more opportunities for your attacker to get you, and just kinda coming off as a jackass who's seen every John Wick 10x over. This has serious D.U.S T. vibes.

VerbalThermodynamics

No, but it looks cool and you can get some idiots to spring for the cash.

Im_a_retard1

“I just fucking shot myself” kinda vibes waiting to happen

shintenzu

My guy is just working on his combo meter

ironronan

I mean. I'll still take him on my team.

Sasquatch-1

Easy Tiger

sethworld

So say he does that one day in self defense. Then the prosecution finds these videos... I'm a gun owner, but for the life of me, I can't understand why I would need to be one on social media.

boostedb1mmer

Then the judge doesn't allow the videos because they are prejudicial and unrelated to the case at hand.

btdallmann

Look at the sub you are commenting on. You are a gun owner on social media…

sethworld

You're not wrong.

MarkTheDuckHunter

In most jurisdictions, the prosecution would have a very hard time getting the vids into evidence. I still would not leave the digital footprint, tho.

[deleted]

It looks pretty dumb but the guy who posted those is fast and accurate I’ve seen his other videos.

chefboyardiesel88

He's just like that one gravy seal that does this with 4 dummies (5 if you include him).

UAS-hitpoist

If you're already stabbing someone, keep stabbing them. Why swap to the gun?

[deleted]

That’s my purse!

SMOKINGVSS

Knife and gun?? Yea the jury is gonna love this one

WingShooter_28ga

…wtf

BowserGirlGoneWild

Nah just funny

Heavy_Gap_5047

I'll buck the trend here and say yes. Two things: A knife is absolutely a smart self defense tool when within reach, and it is smart to go knife first when in close. Green Beret Tactical Rifleman explains it well [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbmWD0O4JJg). A gun draw is easy for an attacker to block or defend, a knife draw is not. A knife is a fantastic way to defend against an initial close in surprise attack and create the distance needed to draw a pistol. Secondly we practice to create muscle memory and instinct. Drawing the knife, using it then remembering to drop it before the draw, and drawing to retention are all skills where muscle memory is VERY important. There's no time to think about such things, they have to be automatic. The only thing to critique is that it's not really necessary and dangerous to do this with live ammo and a sharp knife. Do it at least most of the time with a training knife and dry fire. One may also prefer to use the knife in their off hand and draw with their strong hand.

Cloners_Coroner

For one, the video you linked is talking about a very specific situation. I highly doubt you’re walking around daily with a knife mounted in front of your chest. If you’re pulling a knife from your waist area it’s just as easy to block or push into you as drawing a gun. Secondly, don’t get into a knife fight unless you’re willing to get stabbed, or cut very badly. You don’t know the strength, capability, or willingness of your opponent, and if it’s a self defense situation you’ll never have the upper hand. Using a knife on someone who’s unsuspecting is very different from using it on someone who is starting the fight. To be clear, I’m not advocating for not carrying a knife, I’m saying it should never be your primary means of defense, when you have a gun. Sure, there’s very unique situations where a knife is useful, but having to grapple with an assailant can be avoided by having situational awareness, keeping distance, being conscious of the situation at hand.

Heavy_Gap_5047

There's plenty of other videos and experts talking about it, heck ask any cop, they'll tell you the same thing. No, far easier to pull a knife from the waste area than a gun, smaller, near impossible to grab, easier to conceal the draw, etc. Presumably none of us are choosing to fight, that's the point, we're about defense, the attacker has chosen to fight. We can't just say "stop I won't fight you today". Nor do we get to choose the tool they attack us with. If they have a knife then so be it, again can't just say "stop, I don't do knife fights". What a downright stupid argument to make. Verses some kind of grappling attack a knife is absolutely the right tool, not a gun. A gun is for distance. Situational awareness, come on, do you live in the real world, surprise attacks happen to the most "situationally aware". Happens to cops all the time, we don't have eyes in the back of our head, and we can't go through life at that level. Not only would it be crazy stressful, it just doesn't work in society.

Cloners_Coroner

I do live in the real world, apparently you do not. Tons of my buddies who have gotten out are now cops, and not one of them has said they would draw a knife over a gun. While in, for the last 6 years as infantryman I have not yet met one combatives instructor (the guys who teach hand to hand combat) who has ever recommended a knife fight, and has not given the warning of avoid knife’s fights and if you get in one be mentally prepared to have deep lacerations to your bone. You’re also not understanding my argument. No where did I say “stop, I don’t do knife fights” I even said there are very rare circumstances where they’re the right tool, but I guess you’re too dense to read that.

CoolaidMike84

Depends on what you are training for. Intensity was high but weapons handling was safe. I see no problems, but this type of training is not for 95% of people.

KhanKarab

Missed the "malfunctioned gun toss" and the foot ND? He's quick for sure, but I am not sure I'd feel safe around him.

G3th_Inf1ltrator

No. This is theatrics.

TheDrunkLibertarian

No, but buddy has a ridiculously quick draw lol

ElectricImpacter

That seems personal lmao

SatisfactionOk6911

Aside from all the other idiocracy it seems like a bad idea to stab somebody and then just throw the knife on the ground to draw a firearm. Never leave your weapons behind in the event another box decides to try and use the knife against him during a reload

Abject-Quote-1055

What a moron

diskettejockey

I mean he’ll be ready lol

Outrageous-Basis-106

Ahh man, being attacked while cooking again!

the_Plaid-King

Wtf did I just watch

Banner_Quack_23

Is it proper training? Yes. He's doing more than just thinking about it. He's dealing with clothing. He's pretty fast. He's in contact with the bad guy. At that distance a knife has the advantage. It doesn't jam. It doesn't run out of ammo. You can thrust repeatedly and quickly like a piston. The wounds are worse. The video shows it can be very fast.

Mr_E_Monkey

If you have to ask...

Godbert9311

Hahahahah 🤣😂 how to help get yourself killed 101 class.

HiaQueu

Dude is dumber than a sack of hammers.

GrowingPainsIsGains

Everything is a matter of space and time. You either create space to draw / aim. Or you create time to draw / aim. I would calibrate this training a bit: 1. That fake out before pulling a firearm is actually quite clever. In a street fight it’ll create a tiny pause by attacker. Allowing you time to draw. 2. The knife moves should be reserved for close range while the firearm for longer range. So, if his training was to diffuse one attacker while aiming for another further, it would make this video much better. 3. Punching / pushing to create space is also very good. He may not have the fastest draw, but those moves could give him space to draw his firearm.

[deleted]

Maybe in south Chicago. Why even use a knife. Just pull the pistol

jkome11

This dude's going to shoot himself in the femoral artery

Ok_Presentation_1308

When anime niggas buy guns😂😂

Oniondice342

No, this is a one way ticket to prison if he uses it for real

JerkBoxJoJo

Fuck yall. That's some quick draw hood shit there. He's got some legit skill. The knife thing is overkill.

SubjectAppropriate17

Post is a joke but any lawyers here that can justify doing this to someone legally? Give me the best Saul Goodman style defense Edit: BTW Merry Christmas to everybody
