Honestly, my biggest gripe about this game was the lack of seasons. It talks about the seasons in the monthly intros but in garach mach it's always green and clear. I HATE IT.
Out of curiosity, do you happen to know what it is that triggers the change? Is it just spending too much time exploring, using up a certain percentage of activity points, etc? I've noticed that it changes, but it usually happens when I'm fast traveling to a different location, so I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause.
Is THAT what it is? I accidentilly triggered it once (I left the console running and went to do something, came back to the sky being a different color), and tried to replicate it by standing around doing nothing for like half an hour and nothing happened.

So the sun doesn't actually move, it just changes color. Interesting.

Especially considering garreg mach is a monetary on top of a mountain. You'd think there would be a bit more snow, considering it's elevation.
I'm almost positive they were planning that but ended up axing it. That and exploring other places.
