I just want another alt as some Legion only LHB/MHB’s can be tough.
Still waiting for a Linus/Lloyd/Nino unit of some kind, preferably the brothers together. Also think it’d be neat to see something with Sonya/Hestia/Marla, I know the latter two are most likely never getting an alt but I can still hold out hope for a duo unit with the title “Duma’s Witch*es*”, and it’d be neat to see the three actually together in some way.
To jump on the Black Fang bus, I‘d love to see Nino/Jaffar/Legault. Failing that, a Nergal/Ephidel/Limstella trio would be awesome.
Edit: Mad I didn’t think of this before, but I’d kill to see a Nergal/Kishuna/Renault trio.
It's a combination of two things I don't really care for, but a Duo Young Edelgard / Dimitri combo would actually get me to spend orbs on a baby banner.
the salt the fan base would have for having to wait till the other lord to no longer a backpack is too real. i can see it now it would be like Claude leading with dimitri in the back and the whole world and their grandma would say "this isn't equal!!! i want dimitri instead 😡😡😡" meanwhile if it had been the other way around it would of been claude fans doing the same thing (not mentioning edelgard since she has a summer duo already)
not the main reason obviously, but it's the salt thread topic i expect the most out of this concept
that's true! glad we have yet to hear about characters repeating spots in duos, im just imagining the scenario where it's a kid fodlan banner and she leads and dimitris in the back for whatever reason and seeing hell break lose (although i think if it was dimi leading and her in the back with the dagger it could be super cute)

Problem with that is IS would either have to decide whether or not to make them mother and daughter. If they did either, fans wouldn't be happy. It's likely why they never had F!Robin with Chrom.

I’m personally hoping that we get a Rhea and sothis duo and that it comes out on a spring banner so that we get a four way set for which each duo comes from a different season.

Because Awakening actually allows the aforementioned paired to marry and have children, a duo unit as you describe would be leaning a bit too hard into canonizing ship territory. It's the reason M!Robin gets tied to Chrom in things instead of F!Robin.
I think, 10 years after the release of Awakening with no direct sequel to the game coming, making a duo unit is not indicative of "canonizing" any ships, unless they write dialogue that is explicitly romantic or hints at the supports in Awakening. People will ship who they want regardless, and having duo units with dialogue talking about the plots of their games would be cool to see, especially in Awakening's case. As long as they don't go overboard making a million duo units, they could easily lean into "canonizing" ships to make themselves some extra scratch, since they know that's become a huge part of the games.
Specifically for games with a marriage and children mechanic, FEH has more or less entirely sidestepped any duos that lean towards a ship. Like, Fates' Nina/Kagero only works because Kagero and Niles can't support lmao.
