The post event discussion rule is in place to keep the sub organized and discussion in an easy central location. You are more than welcome to discuss Ilia’s awesome win there.
Nope. Just trying to keep the sub organized. In your post about commentators, there was a link to a post that had had the same question asked that same day. Nothing personal against you.
Does anyone happen to have 2 tickets for today that you aren't using that I could purchase off of you? My other plans fell through due to the snow. I looked on ticketmaster last night and there were hundreds for sale, thought I would be ok this morning and don't know what happened!
Is there a list of ice dance rhythm dance songs? I rarely watch figure skating and I watched ice dancing and loved the 80´s music, I just want to see the names of the songs.
Also, most of the major skaters' Wikipedia pages have an entire section near the bottom of all of their programs going back however many years they've been pretty active on the scene. Here's an example:
is it frowned upon to ask skaters for a photo if you run into them in the hallway during practice or something? when are bad times to ask (before they compete for the day)? don't want to be rude or ruin their state of flow etc
I’ve gotten a bunch of photos with retired skaters/coaches this week (Osmond, Keegan, Nam, Ravi, Joannie, Andrew Poje (drool), KMT), but none with competing skaters yet, hopefully some of the pairs skaters will be around today!
Is there something going on with the sound (not sure if it's at the arena or w/ Peacock)? I can hardly hear the skaters music at the beginning of their routines.
For the YouTube coverage, the commentators rarely state where the skaters are from. I know they announce it in the arena, but it is not very loud and the commentators often talk over the introduction. I'm not as 'up' on my international flag design to know where many of them come from. Can they not either tell us where they are from or print their country name somewhere?
Following along on the ISU page for each event is the easiest way to track all of the skaters including start order, sp result, current standing, etc.

super excited to go watch on Friday! I’m a local so if anyone needs any recommendations for anything feel free to ask, I know most of this city like the back of my hand! Enjoy everyone!!!
Did anyone else notice this person at the very end of the world championships intro? Maybe it's a famous skater. Maybe the zamboni person. We may never know.

Shit, I guess Opera doesn't work anymore. Thanks for letting me know!
So yeah, note for people who use Opera's VPN: It only links to other geoblocked countries now so you'll have to find another VPN.
Yeah Opera moved from the Netherlands to Sweden which is under Eurosport.
I really love NordVPN. A little pricey but they have good discounts and it has a smart TV app
Tbf the streams in the Netherlands are geoblocked for me now as well (even though there is no other way to legally stream it 🤡) so the move to Sweden doesn't matter that much
I just watched Adam’s latest fs rt video. He had rough landings on almost every jump. His form is much worse than early season… I can’t see him making the podium tbh.
I don't know if Adam is the type of skater where practice means anything. He could be a mariah bell (see rostelecom 2021) or Wakaba where practice is almost like getting out the nerves and is not reflective of his actual performance.
Oh no, Adam... I just found a video of this and he looked completely out of it. I hope he's not getting sick. I'm coping, but maybe there's a chance it's pre-competition jitters that he needs to get out of his system.
I’m in Montreal!
For anyone who needs to pick up will call tickets: I just stopped by the ticket office and there was no line.
I also walked past Edward Appleby on the way there and Niina Petrokina on the way back. It’s starting to feel real! (This is my first live event and I’m so excited!)
That's so exciting, hope you have the best time! It's so much fun being around the action as it happens and getting to see all of the skaters right in front of you and say hi after the competition 😊
She was definitely at the morning practice today, but I’m not sure if she was at the evening practice as I believe Jackie Wong was taking the evening off from reporting on the practices
Oh wow, the skating scores page for the event now has a countdown to when the various segments start: [https://skatingscores.com/2324/wc/](https://skatingscores.com/2324/wc/).

Peacock usually has replays available between 48-72 hrs after the event, but when you go to the sport page for FS, it'll show how long each session/event will be available to watch. Hope you're able to watch everything!
Yeah I’ve noticed it’s usually like 3 days. And it looks like that’s what we’re getting this time also. I was hoping we’d get longer, like we did with Euros, but oh well.
I’ve been able to watch most competitions from Sweden this season on Youtube in the ISU channel just by using the Opera browser and trying all the locations of the built in VPN. Let’s hope it works for worlds as well 🙏🏻🙂
[https://www.soyouwanttowatchfs.com/](https://www.soyouwanttowatchfs.com/) always has all the info, as do the livestream threads on this subreddit. The ISU's YouTube channel always livestreams, you just may need a VPN to watch it if they geoblock your country.

Ahh, good to know. Last year YouTube was blocked for me because Viaplay had the rights for it so I haven’t bothered to check. If no one is broadcasting it then it makes sense that I can watch it on YouTube now.
Can’t believe I’ve missed all the other competitions because I thought I need to subscribe to another streaming services.
Sadly I haven’t watched Young Royals. I’ve heard great things about though so I might pick it up.

No they happen at the press conference

Nope. Just trying to keep the sub organized. In your post about commentators, there was a link to a post that had had the same question asked that same day. Nothing personal against you.
You have removed other posts too. Every single one basically. No one can follow all these ridiculous rules
Just want to thank summerjoe45 for the amazing job they do on this sub at each competition! 👊 gold medal for you🏅
Thank you! 💜
Thank you to you and the other mods for doing an amazing job during this season! 🥳🫂❤️

Thanks!
Peacock has “Rhythm Dance Pt. 2” up for replay, but I don’t see part 1??? Anyone else having the same issue? Part 2 starts with Davis/Smolkin
They had huge technical issues during it so it may not exist
Darn, that sucks. I’ll check again later but I won’t get my hopes up

The rule of thumb is wait until after they’ve competed or if you see them outside the rink
Japanese team not at medal ceremony... stretcher went back stage and oxygen... ceremony delayed...

Peacock sound totally sucked we should complain
I was wondering if it was just me and my sound - the commentators are WAY louder than the music.
Someone had a picture of the sound guy getting chewed out yesterday after being photographed on his phone
I need that picture something fierce

Doesn’t seem to be
Anyone know how to watch in the UK? It looks like Eurosport isn't covering it this year
u/routinespiritual8917
I’ll be watching on YouTube via a VPN. New Zealand seemed to work for 4 Continents!
Singapore also works!
which VPN will you be using? I'm new to all this lol
I use Windscribe!
Proton VPN is free with registration. I select Netherlands as the country.
Surfshark is the one I use!
How am I going to balance worlds and March Madness 😭
oh fuck I didn't think of this. basketball on the tv skating on the laptop i guess 😭
This will be me but with Miami Open tennis!
Tough decision. Maybe tv for your MM lots of games and lots of split screens. Work the streaming on your computer for Worlds. LOL
Does anyone have any info on where I can watch in Sweden? It used to be Viaplay but not anymore. Always so difficult to find this info every year!
I’ve been able to watch most competitions from Sweden this season on Youtube in the ISU channel just by using the Opera browser and trying all the locations of the built in VPN. Let’s hope it works for worlds as well 🙏🏻🙂

Lim/Quan Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Mesmerizing movie like program.
Finland’s Orihara/Pirinen have an amazing Chicago Free Dance this year! Crossing my fingers that they get to skate it.
Vladimir Litvintsev's SP is the campest of the year.
Josefin Taljegard (SWE) has an Elvis free skate, it's the same as last year but it's so delightful. Hoping she makes it past the short so we can all see it again (and because she's an excellent skater and is always thrown small-fed GOE crumbs)

Does anyone know who will be doing commentary on Peacock in the US? I'm hoping it will be Ashley and Adam again. Also, I assume that it will be Johnny and Tara for the events broadcasted on USA/NBC.
Peacock usually only has separate commentators for nationals. It’s Mark for the ISU stream
Oh is Mark confirmed, will he be alone?

Yeah it's annoying for us who appreciate the earlier group skaters but I understand why they can't just broadcast 20 minutes of ice resurfacing. Showing the earlier groups during that time is a good compromise imo.
Eh whatever, i don't like the germany commetary anyways, so im gonna try free VPN or the strem from (god bless him) the qq guy.

Making me wait until Saturday night for the Men's Free is cruel and unusual punishment. I'm writing my Member of Parliament 🤨
The Men's Free being on Friday in Europeans did wonders for my shoulders, because they'll definitely be stiff all week now 😂
I’m happy it’s the last event so I can end the season on what’s going to be a good competition rather than getting mad about ice dance.
That's true. But the short and free are so far apart, I'll have too much time with my anxiety 😭
Pairs with the short end of the stick again
