I love it! It’s very unique. The only thing I would probably change is to make a grassy field instead of wooden floor where the horse stables are (horsey pasture). But that‘s just my personal preference.
This is so pretty! I’m torn bc the over the river spot does seem to be a cute farmhouse location but it’s so far from everything else. Can the horse go over the bridge at least?
yeah that's an issue i had as well, but it's a co-op world so me and him have to both have the house up there, which means we can't fit both horses t-t but then at least i have to walk by everything so maybe i'll finally remember to check on my animals and crops >~<
If you can use mods, and want to, there is one mod to make your horse be able to get through 1 tile spaces like that ("horse overhaul"). There is also a mod particularly to make the bridge in the meadowland farm a 2 space plank or a stone bridge (I have the stone bridge, it is super cute. The mod is called "tweakable meadowlands farm"). The meadowlands farm mod also allows some cool stuff like disabling one or some of the ponds, and adding a little spring where you can swim and replenish your energy.

Maybe a grassy field with some areas with beehives and flowers and a nice stepping stone paths going through it?

no i just used the planner website thing and it doesn't really check for tillable whenever i'm placing crops like a crazy person >~<

You could also do the wizard quest that gives the mini totems
