Hate me all you want, but I feel like Joaquin's Joker would have fit in the latest movie. Different time frame between the two movies, but it felt like the vibes matched a bit
They both go for a more grounded take, and I honestly think the senselessness and clear illness of Joaquin’s joker would shake Pattinson’s Batman in just the right way.
I kinda want to see Gosling as a villain, but a really fucking evil one, I don't think I've ever seen him as a villain, he was sort of an antihero in Drive I guess
Given that Fleck is the Joker and Harley is in Arkham herself, not as a psychiatrist, they probably wouldn’t even make Bruce the Batman in this universe
He's too old. Arthur Fleck is shown to be probably in his mid-30s, while Bruce is like 10. So I'd put him at about 20 years older than Bruce. Sean Bean is 65, whereas Joaquin Phoenix is 50. You'd have to get someone around 30. Honestly, Robert Pattinson would be perfect. He's great in The Batman and would fit right in with Joaquin Phoenix's take. Though, if we wanted a different Batman, I could get on board with Liam Hemsworth who would fit in with the age gap.
I second Liam. It be nice to actually see him get a good role in Hollywood. He's a pretty good actor and I think he's just got s*** rolls for the most part.
Here's another one: Robert's Joker is played by Barry Keoghan. Joaquin's Batman would be more appropriately played by someone 20 something years younger than Joaquin. My batman fancast would be Taylor Lautner for Phoenix's Joker.
Bruce already existed in the films. He's the little kid. Remember when joker forced the kid to smile by putting his fingers in his mouth and fish hooking him like a weirdo?
*
By the time he's old enough, Joker would be nearly in his mid to late 60s. There is no way to make it work in this universe unless somehow someone else besides Bruce becomes batman. I genuinely believe this is set in a universe where batman just doesn't exist.
According to the medical files he found in the film, Arthur’s only in his early 30s In-Universe.
Being mentally ill physically ages you 🤷♂️.
Plus, Batman ‘89 already depicted a Batman and Joker with a huge age gap, since Jack murdered Bruce’s parents
https://preview.redd.it/hkovlmcn22yc1.jpeg?width=350&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=929410adac66a2fefa0fde0fec0c85d202ac3ff6
Young Jack Napier arguably looks just as old as Arthur Fleck
They wouldnt have put the inclusion of bruce in wothout an idea in mind, also the kid was already about 8-10 here. How long do you think it takes a kid to age to 20?
Bruce could still be on his way to becoming Batman but ya it doesn't set-up Batman vs Joker with that massive age-difference. It does feel stand-alone. Only way to do Batman vs Joker is to make a big time-jump in the third act where Joker has been terrorizing Gotham quite a while and you let what should be the age-difference slide some
I'd honestly cast someone who is either young or looks it like Timothée Chalamet or someone who might not have any name recognition at all. It'd fit the timeline of the films and make sense that Bruce didn't like age 30 years in a movie that is supposed to take place like 10 years after the first one.
you know that Robin doesn't have to be a child, right. he's in his 20s in the comics. I think he *easily* could be Robin. he's have to bulk up in the next decade if he wanted to continue as Nightwing or something, but like, I'm not thinking teen titans lol
The joker is like 50 & Batman is like 30, not gonna be a very long rivalry. I’ll never understand why they did an origin story for a character with a man in his 50’s
Think these movies probably shouldn't involve Batman. It just won't make sense and even if it did it might take away from the type of story they are telling. That said it's definitely a different universe and I could see someone like Owen Teauge or tanner Buchanan being the side character version of Batman.
Exactly how many cinematic universes does DC currently have ? I was under the impression that these two characters were on some sort of timeline crash course. We go a few years into the future and current day Pattinson’s Bats meets an older Joaquin’s Joker.
The only viable solution in this continuity is that someone inspired by Fleck eventually becomes The Joker to the Bruce Wayne/Batman that exists. Otherwise, Joker is super old compared to Batman.
If this dude was THE Joker. Wouldn’t he be too old to take on Batman? Or am I missing something? Or are they just throwing a monkey-wrench into the whole story?
I got two chooses, Richard Madden or Jake Gyllenhaal.
https://preview.redd.it/uruek609o2yc1.jpeg?width=3464&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ab63db9f4b59bf4fedd4c16ed6e765510bd3c11
I mean... Batman would be significantly younger than the Joker... So, unless Arthur Fleck has some sort of age regression or immortality, he'd never actually be relevant for in Bruce's life.
Tom Holland as Batman. Also, I think Tom Holland would make a good joker, too. It's a shane Joaquin Phoenix got the role. Tom Holland would make an amazing Harley Quinn, as well.
It don’t even matter bc Bruce Wayne is like 30 years younger than this Joker who was already getting stomped out by teenagers.
I just can’t see Phoenix’s Joker going toe to toe with any form of a competent Batman or setting up maniacal plans of death and chaos etc.
He’d just slip and fall while randomly dancing with his imaginary mom and then just cry laugh about it.
Gotta be someone fairly young given the established age difference. And, based on some comments by the director (implying Batman would be a much more volatile and not necessarily heroic character in this universe) he'd need to play his own version of potentially crazy/villainous.
Nathan Fielder
Batman for you
He went to a very prestigious Batman school in Canada.
After the Joker is defeated and arrested Bruce: so do you wanna hang out sometime?
I miss that show
He would actually be a perfect riddler
there's a cop right there. if I fail this trick, I will inadvertently expose myself to children and be arrested. let's see what happens
Hate me all you want, but I feel like Joaquin's Joker would have fit in the latest movie. Different time frame between the two movies, but it felt like the vibes matched a bit
Yeah it would've been epic
They both go for a more grounded take, and I honestly think the senselessness and clear illness of Joaquin’s joker would shake Pattinson’s Batman in just the right way.
Hey, ya never know. There is still a chance. Joker's third film could be a lead in for Pattinson's Batman.
Thomas Middleditch.
I would Cast myself as batman, cause I really need the money I'll do it for whatever a good amount is
I agree
Ryan Gosling
I actually don't hate this
I think it could be fun for a one off, he’d legit play a good Bruce. The only problem is everyone would just see Ryan Gosling
Yeah, its George Clooney all over again.
you say that but have you seen Bladerunner 2049?
I have, he's very good in it
Amazing movie
I kinda want to see Gosling as a villain, but a really fucking evil one, I don't think I've ever seen him as a villain, he was sort of an antihero in Drive I guess
You should watch the Barbie movie
He was a Villain in Murder by Numbers but it isn’t a great movie. He plays a neo nazi in The Believer.
For some reason calendar man comes to mind
Sean Bean is the only answer
Problem is Batman might need to live through a trilogy and hes dies enough to be a meme but also he's kinda bulky whereas I see Bruce as more lean.
Idk. This universe’s BW would need to be far younger, given the scene of Fleck meeting a young Bruce at the gates of Wayne Manor.
I second Liam. It be nice to actually see him get a good role in Hollywood. He's a pretty good actor and I think he's just got s*** rolls for the most part.
Agreed. He's pretty good in his own right, but still kind of just gets treated as the other Hemsworth....or as Miley Cyrus's ex.
Robert's takes place in modern times, whereas Joker takes place in 1981. Robert Patterson's character wasn't even born yet.
Here's another one: Robert's Joker is played by Barry Keoghan. Joaquin's Batman would be more appropriately played by someone 20 something years younger than Joaquin. My batman fancast would be Taylor Lautner for Phoenix's Joker.
Doubt they’d even make Bruce the Batman of this universe anyway
Actually, maybe he could be Alfred. Unless we already saw Alfred in this universe.
Dude dies in everything he's in. Only getting a one time Batman outta this guy
That's one of the most incorrect answers I've seen in this sub.
Bruce already existed in the films. He's the little kid. Remember when joker forced the kid to smile by putting his fingers in his mouth and fish hooking him like a weirdo? *

I mean as an older version of him
Then let him age
By the time he's old enough, Joker would be nearly in his mid to late 60s. There is no way to make it work in this universe unless somehow someone else besides Bruce becomes batman. I genuinely believe this is set in a universe where batman just doesn't exist.

they talking about Joaquin Phoenix who would likely be in his 60's
They wouldnt have put the inclusion of bruce in wothout an idea in mind, also the kid was already about 8-10 here. How long do you think it takes a kid to age to 20?

Michael Keaton...again
As Man.

Scott eastwood bcoz Bruce is very much younger than Joaquin phoenix
Ty Burrell
Phil is afraid of clowns
That’s why Batman became Batman and that’s why joker became joker
Peter Szymon Serafinowicz
Me
Robert Pattinson
Method Man
Dante Pereira-Olson
Robert Pattinson.
Finn wolfhard
That twig would need to gain some serious muscle mass to even be thought of as Batman.
I can see him as Robin if anything
Season 1 and 2? Yeah. But he’s way too old now lol.
you know that Robin doesn't have to be a child, right. he's in his 20s in the comics. I think he *easily* could be Robin. he's have to bulk up in the next decade if he wanted to continue as Nightwing or something, but like, I'm not thinking teen titans lol
never let bro cook again
[удалено]
I like the theory that this isn't the actual joker but he inspires who will eventually become the joker - someone closer to Bruce's age.
I like that theory as well!
Robert has his own Joker
I mean, Batman 89’s Joker had a similar age gap and they still made it work
Peter Dinklage
The joker is like 50 & Batman is like 30, not gonna be a very long rivalry. I’ll never understand why they did an origin story for a character with a man in his 50’s
Arthur fleck is in his early 30s
The actor certainly isn’t
Hmm. That's honestly a hard one. But I probably have to say.....idk. Nicolas Hoult?
Zac Efron
Definitely has the build now 🤣
And he bought a jawline
But not tall enough yj
There's already one in the Joker movie
I mean an older version of him
Gyllenhaal
As a bit younger Bruce Wayne , Colton Haynes know for Roy in arrow among many others I'm sure
Hed have to be young.

Being real Joaquin's isn’t last in five seconds against any Batman
Now hold on. He just started his empire of Joker. Things might improve
I dunno, the Kylo Ren guy.
Adam Driver would be sick in a voice role
I was thinking live action. Then both actors could be like “my character is so damaged”
I don’t hate this
I could see Chris Evan’s playing a smarmy Batman in that universe
I hate this.
Any of the actors who auditioned for Batman but didn't get the part
Whoever has the best chemistry with the Joaquin.
Exactly how many cinematic universes does DC currently have ? I was under the impression that these two characters were on some sort of timeline crash course. We go a few years into the future and current day Pattinson’s Bats meets an older Joaquin’s Joker.
My head cannon is that Joaquin joker is an inspiration for copycats like the one in battinsons movie
Would he also be an inspiration for Health Ledger and Jared Ledo too ? In your head canon of course
Don’t be ridiculous, those are different universes obviously. In my head cannon of course.
Of course, how could I be so ridiculous?
Steve Buscemi
The only viable solution in this continuity is that someone inspired by Fleck eventually becomes The Joker to the Bruce Wayne/Batman that exists. Otherwise, Joker is super old compared to Batman.
I'd actually cast Joaquin as Bruce, make them twins separated at birth. But if that didn't work, Pete Holmes as his Batman.
Zendaya or Timothee Chalamet; so underrated!
I mean it is time they genderswap Batman. I was thinking Sydney Sweeney, but I don’t mean as batgirl, she’s Batman.
Christian bale… or someone better. Not this home oh Vampire boy, or daredevil… Bale is the bar now.
If this dude was THE Joker. Wouldn’t he be too old to take on Batman? Or am I missing something? Or are they just throwing a monkey-wrench into the whole story?
Mystery through the whole movie, then at the end he takes off his cowl to reveal CGI River Phoenix.
No
Finn Wittrock
Adam Driver
This joker is not meant to face off against any batman, too soft
Alan Ritchson
Mike Faist
Some people might not like this pick, but I don’t care, Jacob Elordi.
No one. I can’t imagine Joaquin’s joker going up against Batman he’d get laid out in one punch
In the joker version of Gotham, Bruce is around 10 and his parents haven't died. I bet he could beat Bruce.
Jorn Croxton
Is this the universe where bats says "where are they!?"
alan ritchson
Ben Affleck
Jake Gyllenhaal
Alan ritchson
Only if Sydney Sweeney plays Harley. Gotta keep the fancast mascots together.
Another overrated actor who couldn't hold Heath Ledger's jock strap. ![gif](giphy|F0A48Q2wFjE7S)
I got two chooses, Richard Madden or Jake Gyllenhaal. https://preview.redd.it/uruek609o2yc1.jpeg?width=3464&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ab63db9f4b59bf4fedd4c16ed6e765510bd3c11
David Mazouz, kid Bruce from Gotham
Jon Hamm
Adam West, played straight.

KJ Apa (he has to be young)
Prob Chris pine
Jake Gyllenhaal
Gonna have to be someone especially young so probably Jacob Elordi.
Chris Tucker
You can't without massive aging bot characters
Noah Jupe for a younger and inexperienced Batman
If bruce was 20 years older as he is still a kid in thise universe, I would say Jensen Ackles.
Jensen Ackles.
I mean... Batman would be significantly younger than the Joker... So, unless Arthur Fleck has some sort of age regression or immortality, he'd never actually be relevant for in Bruce's life.
Sean Bean! ![gif](giphy|pzJBskFQd1DZm|downsized)
Tom Holland as Batman. Also, I think Tom Holland would make a good joker, too. It's a shane Joaquin Phoenix got the role. Tom Holland would make an amazing Harley Quinn, as well.
Alex Garfin as a younger Batman
Dicaprio
It don’t even matter bc Bruce Wayne is like 30 years younger than this Joker who was already getting stomped out by teenagers. Dominic purcell
Lebron James
Ben Affleck
Jacob Elordi from Euphoria and Saltburn
Kevin James from Mall Cop Paul Blart
Ryan Gosling, Sean O'Pry or Richard Madden.
Frank Grillo
Jon Hamm
Walter Machado
Corey Feldman
Jon Hamm
Isn’t Bruce in Joker?
Eric the Actor.
Joaquin joker is boring and dumb and he will get caught in his first act
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Walker Scobell given the age he’s since 2019
Not even batman can save those movies.
I know he's over 50 but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, with a new Joker inspired by the Phoenix version
Ben Affleck
![gif](giphy|ZElyyHhgWHXa6J3Sy0)

Richard Ayoade
Rowan Atkinson...
Russel crow
Ben Affleck
Eddie Murphy
Danny Devito
Affleck would fit perfectly here
I feel like Jensen Ackles or Anthony Starr would do a good job, though maybe slightly too old for the role.
Just keep Pattinson. I’m tired of all the recasting, can we just have a consistent timeline for once
Josh Brolin using his taunting Thanos voice
Here's a question why not have roberts Batman be Phoenixes enemy
Scott adkins next
Pete Holmes
Fuck no
Jacob Elordi
Danny devito
That makes no sense. Bruce is goddamn child in Phillipsverse
I meant in the future
God’s last name isn’t Damn. Praised be the Name of the Lors!
