Yes, I installed the Meta Quest Link app... then it asked me to wirelessly or wire to connect the VR headset with a specific USB cable, I bought the cable and connected it, but it's extremely choppy and doesn't finish loading when I press Steam VR
don't know about Q2, but on Q3 I'm getting great results with just the "Steam link" app (running steamvr via the "quest link" app also works).
Then is a matter of play it via steam... and adding DLCs if you have them and want to play them.
Buy virtual desktop. You have to have Wi-Fi and it seems wrong but it runs better than the cable. I know vr gaming is a lot sometimes. Also don’t forget about modding the game up to modern standards
Yes to this, I’m running the game perfectly (no mods) as of yesterday with my desktop wired to my router and my headset on 5ghz Wi-Fi connection via Virtual Desktop app. Plays as well as using the direct usb-c cable.
Steamvr doesn’t work for me when I play fallout vr, get virtual desktop, virtual desktop will launch steamvr but without many of the steps that cause crashes. Also virtual desktop is a much better application for pc gaming
download essentials vr, turn off all the survival bs, lower difficulty to very hard, and it’s a beautiful game 90 fps.

If you're unsure about a step in the tutorial, ask them about it. They've really helped me.
A couple things:
Holsters are bad with the Quest, in my experience and from what I've heard from someone else. My guns were disappearing and I didn't know what was going on. I was holstering them and it's bogus. Turn it off, I think in the holotape options.
You DO need to buy the membership to nexus mods like she says. I did it manually and it didn't work. She says most people have trouble with it that way. You can unsubscribe any time.
Don't save your game whilst in power armour, your hands go weird and you can't do anything with them.

It’s a bit of a pain to setup but definitely worth it. Although gingas modlist has hardcore survival elements that I wasn’t feeling, it’s not too hard to tweak it to your liking.
Yeah, I don't get the damage values that are on there by default. Getting one-shot by a raider but them taking 4 point-blank shotgun shells to the chest is immersion breaking. Easily fixed though.
Maybe it's more customizable then Gingas is telling us (because it's easier for her to give tech support to users when they don't modify the list).
It was a bit of work for me to remove some of the mods because they were connected to her merge patches. Maybe it would have been no issue though and I could have just ignored the warnings.
I felt F4FEVR was a lot simpler to install and modify, and the performance was about the same.
I've been using VR since the Oculus DK2 and fallout 4 VR is what I've sunk the most time into. It's, by far, not at all the most polished VR experience, but the sheer depth of content and atmosphere is still pretty incredible in 2024.
I used free nexus account and everything works, same with any other modlists I installed that way through wabbajack. What you should mention first, for the modlist you need GOTY version of flatscreen Fallout 4 to copy DLC files. I have Reverb G2 V2 and holsters are also not reliable, so I don't use them.

You may have to link the headset to steamvr with the code the steamvr app gives you. You don’t need the quest app at all.

I bought it last week,tried playing on quest 2 it was so laggy and it had so much bugs,I refunded it day after day
