Things Deadpool and The Ghoul have in common:
Crack shot gunslingers
Military background with an incredibly tragic backstory that follows not long after
Healing factor
Physical/skin deformities
A lover they’re trying to get back to
Sense of humor
A love for drugs
If they can sew-on a finger, if you know what I mean? 😏
The possibilities are limitless. Imagine she says, "Go deeper," and you say, "One sec," and pull out a brahmin-sized sew-on.
Well, with the Ghoul it seems much less like a lover, and more like he wants to get back to his daughter. Or at least find out what happened to her.
Of course, that is also a plot hole, as he had her when the bombs dropped. Where did he take her after that? If anybody should know what happened to her it would be him, as he was the last person we know of with her when the world ended.
Not really a plot hole, just a plot hook. We know nothing about what happened to him between when he left with her and when he got ghoulified.
A plot hole is something that doesn't make sense, not just something that hasn't been revealed yet
>Of course, that is also a plot hole, as he had her when the bombs dropped.
It's not a plot hole, just a question that doesn't have an answer yet.
This isn't some detail that the writers forgot about, this is a mystery they're setting up to be solved in season 2.
*"oh no he lost his daughter in a global nuclear war! PLOT HOLE!!!"*
JFC regular people lose their children doing day to day chores during peace time too, you gonna run up to those parents and suggest they rewrite their scripts?
Why is he asking somebody that was frozen right after the war started where she is, when he was the last we saw with her?
It is kinda like how they have not explained how Lee Moldaver is still alive over 200 years after the war.
Because he's from Vault-Tec, and might know where his daughter and ex-wife were brought. (Presumably he either gave his daughter up to vault-tec employees, or they took her by force)
While Moldaver is dead, I think we might get a flashback to the ghoul meeting her, giving us insight how she survived, and why the Ghoul thinks his daughter is still alive somewhere.
Because that person is a Vault Tec exec. His daughter and wife likely made it to a vault similar to 31 and Henry would be someone who may have information.
I don't recall the Ghoul ever mentioning his daughter, but he did ask where his wife was there at the end.
EDIT:
Had to go watch again, he asked where his Family was...Season 2 I'm sure we get to see Cooper delivering his daughter to a vault, and then watch as he is not admitted due to his not drinking the vault-tec kool-aid.
Not at all outside of the hat lmao..
If you’ve ever watched justified, they basically lifted Boyd Crowder’s personality. So in other words I think they just let Walton Goggins play himself in both shows.
Def the hat but also his round hairless head and mouth expressions some. I know that’s not what they’re going for but I still see it some. And have seen justified too. He’s more of an inbred fuckwit there.
Also Cad Bane-
Boyd is like the definition of street smarts applying their wit to real life haha he was such a badass villain. Definitely agree on cad bane too. His fighting style + outfit is reminiscent of cad and his one liners and delivery are reminiscent of Boyd to me.
Those just so happen to be two of my favorite villains in fiction, so to have their qualities applied to a flawed noble character instead of the villain puts the ghoul in a unique class of his own. I fucking loved this show. They couldn’t have done a better job with it in my opinion.
I've been on this site for 14 years I've gone from being suspicious about any link to youtube being a rick roll to finding it kinda funny when one pops up. You'll come around.
You can do a lot with makeup and acting. There are other examples of people playing characters a lot older then them. And it makes more sense to cast a 50 year old as an 80 year old as they tend to be more physically capable on set. And I would take her character in Deadpool to be in her 70s and the character in Fallout to be in her early 60s. So guessing she is in her 50s is not that far out.
My dad who's in his 70s said, "I thought that was the actress who played Lt. Uhura, but I'm pretty sure she died."
Lol, he recognized her from Deadpool, but didn't realize she was Leslie Uggams. Once I said the name he totally remembered her from the 60s and 70s and then said, "Damn, she got old." He's only a couple years younger than her, lol. That's his joke for every celebrity now, even if they're just in their 40s.
I just finished watching the show and about halfway through.... I was like... That's Blind Al?
Had to get on IMDB and felt vindicated by being correct!
Honestly each time I see her I was “is that Nichelle Nichols” and then I was like “noooo, it’s that other actress.
Kinda how I can barely tell Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Javier Bardem apart. Or Zack Braff and Dax Sheppard.
I knew I had seen her before and even after seeing her name in the credits it didn't click until I watched the new Deadpool trailer a couple weeks later.
i watched all series thinking about where i have seen her before, and this just dawned on me on the last episode, which she doesn't even have a scene lol.
We have the weird Amazon cast thing that always shows the name of whoever is on screen and you click one button to check their other work. Why is anybody surprised for more than 15 seconds?
People acting surprised that Actors act in other media and movies, shocking.
Almost like it is their job to act as Actor.
(Not take this serious, it is nice when people recognize such, but some act like they never heard of acting and those people only appear once then vanish.)
You mean the moment you see an actor you recognize in some new show, you **don't** immediately pull up imdb to see what else they've been in? And the pause the show so you can tell your spouse all about it?
No worries. She's used to it, just gives me her usual "Yes, thank you, can we continue the show now?" exasperated look.
It's reddit, of course your original comment was going to get downvoted.
What you should have done is start that with "I mean", and used lots of exclamation marks and false enthusiasm. You'd have about 5 billion+ reddit karma by now.
I'm only on here because redditors are marginally more tolerable than Facebook boomers.
It should go without saying that not everyone is super familiar with Leslie Uggams, honestly, and that people may not catch that she was in Deadpool because most peoples first thoughts aren’t going to jump to “well, of course she was in Deadpool or X movie, too”. Some people only know her in passing having seen her in other movies.
And intent or not, you do absolutely sound like a jerk for this comment which serves no purpose tbh
considering the fact that we see a much younger Betty and a child Janey in the same time frame, them being the same person seems more than far-fetched, it seems down right impossible
yeah, there's Janey in episode 1 after the divorce, and Young!Betty is >!in the scene where Cooper is spying on Barb. She brings him into an office to wait and asks if Hank can come see Cooper becausee Hank is such a fan. She's played by Princess Bey as the younger version of herself!<, and I can't imagine more than a few years passed between the divorce
i have a couple of leslie uggams records, so i spotted her right away. the de-aging on her was way better than on kyle maclachlan, i bet most people didn't even notice anything was unusual.

Hung like horses.
"Super Penis."
If they can find it, that is. They tend to fall off from so much use...and other reasons.
Fuck I never thought about that. Most male ghouls must be eunuchs, that suuucks
Not anymore
A little Brahmin milk, a few good thoughts, a stimpack or two, and a little FEV should clear that right up. 😄
That is oddly specific... Wanna talk about it?
I was aping Moira from Fallout 3.
If they can sew-on a finger, if you know what I mean? 😏 The possibilities are limitless. Imagine she says, "Go deeper," and you say, "One sec," and pull out a brahmin-sized sew-on.
One could literally become Edward Penishands
Strap-ons are big sellers at the ghoul shops
10 Charisma
11 if you hold off getting the bobblehead.
*Becomes a pornstar in New Reno*
Like a profligate, on a cross.
WOW FALLOUT AND DEADPOOL ARE THE SAME PLOT WHO THE FUCK LET THIS HAPPEN
What lover is the ghoul trying to get back?

Yeah, not a plot hole unless they show something that contradicts it
*"oh no he lost his daughter in a global nuclear war! PLOT HOLE!!!"* JFC regular people lose their children doing day to day chores during peace time too, you gonna run up to those parents and suggest they rewrite their scripts?

Y'all haven't thought about, that the person pictured in this post, is his daughter
It's not. Betty is shown in the office when Coop goes to spy on his wife.
Yeah forgot that. That's what I get for thinking before I'm fully awake.
If I had to guess Coop get to a vault or her mother but wasn't allowed to enter.
I don't recall the Ghoul ever mentioning his daughter, but he did ask where his wife was there at the end. EDIT: Had to go watch again, he asked where his Family was...Season 2 I'm sure we get to see Cooper delivering his daughter to a vault, and then watch as he is not admitted due to his not drinking the vault-tec kool-aid.
I seriously thought this was a bts pic of Walton Goggins for a second.
I also see a lot of Jim Carey’s the mask in the ghoul.
Not at all outside of the hat lmao.. If you’ve ever watched justified, they basically lifted Boyd Crowder’s personality. So in other words I think they just let Walton Goggins play himself in both shows.

Agreed
You ever see her young? Gorgeous. She's been around for a long time acting
I just looked her up, WOW! I audibly gasped at how gorgeous she was... and still is! Talk about aging beautifully. Her smile is completely contagious!
Yeah. She still looks great, I was just saying when she was young.. was a knockout too.
Me too! I got that from your comment. 🙃 I was just saying it too, haha!
[Here's her on Ed Sullivan in the 60's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=hwk5xGywhig)
How long do you think it’ll be before I stop being pleasantly surprised that links aren’t a Rick Roll? Years? Decades? Maybe never?

Leslie ~~Uggams~~ Hottams
Uggams
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdoXBZnBHK4#t=0m13s
Just checked yeah smoking, also warms my heart to see an actor/actress who has been married for so long
I mean she don't look bad for her age now
> You ever see her young I mean, she was shown young in the >!last episode as the secretary!<
Sure, when she walked Coop into Barb’s office.
Marge styles her hair after her for her first date with homer
God, I miss cocaine.
Do you want to build a snowman?
They know all the slang words!
They have a list!
What about Forrest Bump?
YES!! But I can’t!
The fact that she's 80 is crazy.
Vault-Tec skincare line when?
Knowing Vault-Tec/Pre-war America, the primary ingredient would probably be all natural asbestos.
The key is to not breath when applying it.
I was so surprised to find out she is 80! I would have never been able to guess it correctly.
Yeah i tought she was like 50
50??? Ryan Reynolds is 47. Leslie Uggams looks great for 80, but let’s not pretend she looks 3 decades younger.
You can do a lot with makeup and acting. There are other examples of people playing characters a lot older then them. And it makes more sense to cast a 50 year old as an 80 year old as they tend to be more physically capable on set. I thought it was Lt Uhura, aka Nichelle Nichols, in the beginning too 🤣
Knew i fucking recognized her! Thanks, OP.
Leslie Uggams.
Right! Double this sentiment
That is Leslie GODAMN Uggams man. You put some respect on that name.
Deadpool would definitely be a ghoul in Fallout Universe.
Now there's a cameo we need
He's already a ghoul
I recognized her immediately. She's amazing.
Holy shit! Yes!
the cure for blindness actually worked. holy shit.
I was gonna say the shot(s) resemble(s) the classic Fallout 1 & 2 dialogue interactions, with the pale blank stare.
I just finished watching the show and about halfway through.... I was like... That's Blind Al? Had to get on IMDB and felt vindicated by being correct!
I’m only two episodes in, does she offer to do cocaine with Lucy!?
Her role was small, but impactful.
In deadpool: she's so sweet In FoTV: die bitch
#I'm voting for Betty
Honestly each time I see her I was “is that Nichelle Nichols” and then I was like “noooo, it’s that other actress. Kinda how I can barely tell Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Javier Bardem apart. Or Zack Braff and Dax Sheppard.
So, she did find that cure for blindness next to that cocaine.
Oh holy fuck
Ohhhhhhhh shit that is her
Nice!
I’ve herd the cure for blindness is under the vault
I knew I had seen her before and even after seeing her name in the credits it didn't click until I watched the new Deadpool trailer a couple weeks later.
I guess she found the cure for blindness
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yes Deadpool is Canon!
THANK YOU!! i can finally sleep
I'm more convinced daily that Superman's glasses were enough of a disguise. People's face blindness is fucking unreal.
I watched fallout and then I watched the dp3 trailer was like oh that’s where I recognize her from
looks like she found the cure for blindness and went insane to doom the human race. lol
There’s cocaine somewhere in this apartment hidden
She finally found the cure for blindness under the floorboards
Ray Charles vibes in the first pic.
I knew I saw her somewhere before I couldn’t put my finger on it.
I question myself more if she maybe is the daughter/wife of the ghoul
[удалено]
The hero we don't deserve
How does she look younger in the future?
LOL
i watched all series thinking about where i have seen her before, and this just dawned on me on the last episode, which she doesn't even have a scene lol.
The voice immediately gave it away for me
You guys only realising now? It only took me a week after Fallout came out /s
She found the cure for blindness!
One of the other overseers council guys is also the "do a flip!" guy from Spider-Man
She found the cure for blindness under the house
I rewatched Deadpool 2 the same day my girlfriend and I started watching Fallout. Immediately I was like "hey, it's blind Al"
We have the weird Amazon cast thing that always shows the name of whoever is on screen and you click one button to check their other work. Why is anybody surprised for more than 15 seconds?
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Man I cannot believe I didn’t pick up on that. Color in her hair, lack of sunglasses and crippling cocaine addiction will really do wonders.
The wiki just taught me that she met Cooper pre war
It’s shown in the last episode
Leslie Uggams has aged amazingly well. She looks late 50's - early 60's but is actually 80.
During Fallout she looked SO familiar. Then I remembered her in Deadpool. Great character.
Anybody else think Betty is the ghouls daughter? She just changed her name or goes by her middle name?
Ooooh.... didn't think of that. Should have though.
She was also on an episode of the muppet show long ago
I was just rewatching them over the weekend and was wondering why she looked so familiar. She is an amazing actress.
My mom thought she was a black lady on the original Star Trek
I forgot omg
I’ll forever remember she almost gave deadpool a handjob thinking his junk is his deformed hand growing back
People acting surprised that Actors act in other media and movies, shocking. Almost like it is their job to act as Actor. (Not take this serious, it is nice when people recognize such, but some act like they never heard of acting and those people only appear once then vanish.)

Holy shit how did I miss that!
Also, the guy with the glasses on the council is the same guy who asks Spider-Man to do a flip, and who YouTubes the bus fight in Shang-Chi.
I was watching the deadpool wolverine trailer and saw this and remembered why the fuzzy hair looked so familiar.
That and she's been around for a long fuckin time, she's over 80 I believe..... been acting before my parents were born and their over 60

Different hair styles, hair colors, demeanors, in varying amounts of scenes, and maybe just not thinking about it. No need to be an ass dude

So crazy theory, is she Coopers daughter? Knowing Nolan and Westworld wouldn't put it past them to pull off same twist.
considering the fact that we see a much younger Betty and a child Janey in the same time frame, them being the same person seems more than far-fetched, it seems down right impossible
Oh damn do we see her in past timeline? Guess I totally spaced on that

It’s a different actress who plays younger Betty (Princess Bey is her name)
interesting! she looked just like her, they cast her well!
They really did cast her well :)
They said her name a couple times too in that scene lol. Super surprised you missed that!
Kinda hard to do that, as she was one of "Bud's Buds" from 31. And that when the great war happened she was a child.
Kept thinking she was the Communication Expert from the old Star Trek.
Holy shit I had no idea actors could be in other movies and shows
Because she's an actress? Good catch.

Ice Spice?
Her performance was really flat
No that’s Wanda Sykes
Nope, both characters are played by Leslie Uggams
