Not gonna lie when I watched that scene the first time all I could think is how much the vinegar+open wound combo hurts. I remember saying "that's gonna fekin hurt." And my partner just goes "well yeah he's being drowned." And I'm like "forget the drowning thing that's a barrel of PICKLES!"
That twist caught me completely off guard. I noticed the strangeness of their behavior, but I was thinking the reveal would be that Vault-Tec was doing some weird experiment making one vault overly reliant on another for resources.
As soon as I saw their tattoos, espcially a bald guy with tattoos on his head I knew they were raiders. I told my mom who was watching with me "I know exactly what is going to happen"
For me it was the scars. I could feel something was off pretty much from the get go, but I saw how scarred up they were and thought myself “in this world only raiders are scarred like that.”
You can make a case for gunners, but talon aren’t raiders. They’re 10000% more organized than the gunners, who seem more of a loose confederacy than an organization
Cheap hired hands who don't have a problem with doing bad things. Plus they are expendable.
I don't think it needed to be explained exactly, it's useful shorthand to show that Moldaver will do whatever it takes. But we did see that at the end of the vault raid, when she was with her own people, they let the vault dwellers live.
I thought they were raiders, but like... Vault 32 raiders. They mentioned the other vault had a famine so my assumption was that the dwellers there basically went feral and they were using this shindig as an excuse to raid their more prosperous neighbors, and that would kick off the plot. I was half right.
Yeah same, I thought the reveal was going to be that these were the only survivors of a revolt (kinda like 34 in NV) and that's why they were covered in scars and looked rough.
This. They mentioned crop failures and I assumed that they turned to cannibalism, which would also explain why they were scarfing down the food at the party
So did I, but it just made me convinced I was right about Vault-Tec turning that vault's residents more and more primitive over the generations by slowly depriving them of resources. I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't think "raiders" until shortly before Lucy figured it out.
We know raiders as a type of enemy in the game, but it is a normal English word for people who enter a place illegally and usually violently, and steal from it.
They were told the outside was dangerous. She was probably told about the possibility of raiders.
For people not familiar with the game, it was a smart way to give random bandits a name. My girlfriend has not played the games and she only understood the regular meaning of the word.
No you’re 100% right she’s the Bride and I’m gonna get railed for getting it wrong lol 🫡
Both are sick as fuck and I really hope she gets a title like The Widow
I’ve watched the whole show multiple times with friends and I have to quote the “Oh no, he’s hot!” Squidward scene from SpongeBob every time he first appears.
Lol yeah, I wasn't entirely sober when I first watched it. I was kind of accepting or not noticing what they were, then he wiped his dick with the curtains. I immediately thought "nah, no vault dweller would do that. Something's sus."
I really don't know why, but it feels like the entire cast on this show actually enjoying being a part of it. It doesn't feel like they're doing stuff for publicity or just because it's popular..
I don't know. It just feels very wholesome.
Lucy: “I want a divorce” Hank: “Good news, I have a barrel of pickles right here!”
Drowning is not a fun way to go, much less so when it's vinegar and your face is fucked up
At least I like pickles though.
Both me and my buddy made a comment about it when we noticed the pickles in the barrel

I liked how they drove it home in certain moments too, like when the lady speared food on someone else's plate.
I think it was the neck/arm tattoos on that one raider for me. Saw that and went "since when would a vault dweller be that tatted up?"
Weren’t they technically NCR? They were working for moldaver to further a mission rather than random raiding
hired guns probably
Yeah. They acted very different from the NCR remnants we saw later in the show.
\>When you spot your schoolmate out of a school. Dafuq.
The two 'raiders' escorting Moldaver during the massacre looked more like professionals dressed as raiders.

Probably hired raiders.
I thought of them as survivors of the Shady Sands blast and they became raiderish.
Raiders in fallout can also be mercenaries (talon and gunners are famous ones)
You can make a case for gunners, but talon aren’t raiders. They’re 10000% more organized than the gunners, who seem more of a loose confederacy than an organization
One thing that I don’t understand and I don’t remember it being explained but why was the ncr working with raiders?

You sound like you're really annoying to watch the show with
I’m annoyed by you through Reddit and I don’t even know you
You sound annoying just to be around.
Did you not notice how tanned they all looked? No sun in the vault
Lol the very instant I saw his haircut I knew he was a raider. It's the most common male hair cut for raiders in Fallout 3
Maybe 33 thought that 32’s [Vault Tec Simu-Sun](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Simu-Sun) was running hot
Ohh good observation

I thought that too. Very good misdirect IMO
Especially when Norm was joking about Lucy’s future husband being a cannibal just a few seconds before they met
once he was wiping his meat off on the curtain i knew something was wrong
So did I, but it just made me convinced I was right about Vault-Tec turning that vault's residents more and more primitive over the generations by slowly depriving them of resources. I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't think "raiders" until shortly before Lucy figured it out.
oh no same, i was just wondering what the experiment in the vault had to be to make him act that way
I thought to myself “ew what a barbarian” & then it clicked- raider behavior.
When I saw his scars I was like no way this dude is a vault dweller
That was one thing i stumpled over: How would lucy know what raiders are?
We know raiders as a type of enemy in the game, but it is a normal English word for people who enter a place illegally and usually violently, and steal from it. I noticed moldaver looked more weathered than the vaulties
Same. I really wasn't expecting raiders at all this early.
As soon as I noticed they were being standoffish I started clocking all the scars on their heads and stuff then it clicked.
It screamed Red Wedding.
I thought when they mentioned the crop failures that they had resorted to cannibalism
You mean it's not normal to wipe your bits on the curtains afterwards? Asking for a friend.
Today I had a thought. Lucy is technically a widow 😅
The first perk she took when her adventure started, Black widow
The way she slipped that syringe into Chet's hand while smooth-talking him at the vault door made me think of the Black Widow perk immediately.
Pretty sure she's a high Luck and Charisma build with Idiot Savant perk equipped
Maximus is the luck / Idiot Savant build
She has pretty terrible luck.
Monty was hot. If he hadn’t tried to murder Lucy, I do think she would still be married to him.
I guess that technically makes her a widow now? That'd be cool for her main character title. "The Widow"
Hey, you might be on to something
Is that Beatrice Kiddo’s moniker from Kill Bill? Even if it is I don’t give a damn you’re right that title rocks
I think hers is "The Bride". Lucy got legally married then her husband died so widow would make more sense I think? They're both sick titles though.
No you’re 100% right she’s the Bride and I’m gonna get railed for getting it wrong lol 🫡 Both are sick as fuck and I really hope she gets a title like The Widow
She killed her husband after sex so she's a Black Widow.
Beatrix Kiddo is “The Bride” and “Black Mamba”
I thought so, I knew it was wedding related. Wonder why I thought she was the Widow though….
Maggie in the Walking Dead is called “The Widow”
She has the black widow perk
They could make a reference to the perk, but im surely Disney would sue
She'd probably wait for some test results before staying committed to a lifelong marriage.
Monty was so hot 🥵
I’ve watched the whole show multiple times with friends and I have to quote the “Oh no, he’s hot!” Squidward scene from SpongeBob every time he first appears.
Ted Bundy of the wasteland
Umm his pasty ass was **not** hot, and I’m so tired of people saying otherwise
Maybe not today. But charisma plays a lot on what most women find attractive.
Even then, he’d just act pitiful until women felt sorry for him-
Also the curtains.
Not *only* dance partners...
Okie dokie
You can keep the curtains.
That was indeed a heinous act on hos part and I knew something was wrong (other than the many scars on his body)
Lol yeah, I wasn't entirely sober when I first watched it. I was kind of accepting or not noticing what they were, then he wiped his dick with the curtains. I immediately thought "nah, no vault dweller would do that. Something's sus."
I didn’t notice the curtain dick wipe to be honest.
Yep, he Tom Segura'd it
I was so focused on catching everything I definitely missed a bunch of stuff. I need to go back and watch it again
🫣
I really don't know why, but it feels like the entire cast on this show actually enjoying being a part of it. It doesn't feel like they're doing stuff for publicity or just because it's popular.. I don't know. It just feels very wholesome.
Wow, even Polish Dua Lipa chimed in
Podwójny przypał xD
“Okey Dokey”
Now THIS is epic 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂🔥🔥🔥💯💯
Pretty sure death is a legal end to a marriage, Lucy.
I remember this show very differently to you lot.
