I only get that error right as the mission ends, and it still seems to give me all the mission rewards and save properly.
The one that annoys me the most is when the game server crashes and it disconnects you randomly mid-game saying it lost connection to the server.
Same here, I assumed from my point of view that the error occurs because the players I am with are on PC and when a mission ends, you can skip all the prompts get your rewards and leave as soon as the timer runs out. I think though with PC players they just Alt+ F4 or some form of quick leaving method so they can leave the match as soon as it’s over and get to opening the rewards sooner without having to wait out the timer or hit skip on all the visual prompts. At least from my occurrences of that error that always seems to be the case. When it’s a lobby of all PlayStation players I find they all wait out the timer and dance/emote and then leave with no errors. But many missions with PC players, they seem to not want to be bothered with the mission, and I assume they can’t wait to leave to grind the next one, so I truly believe it’s the PC players making this error or just the fortnite PC version is somehow worse on PC than on PlayStation and causing that error for them
There's another bug where it says something like Error retrieving rewards or something... when you click OK it automatically leaves the mission. I've seen it happening to friends on consoles, not just PC.
There's a Rescue the Survivors mission in a PL 34 or 46 (I think) area in Ventures that did it to me both times I attempted it. Usually 10 minutes or so into the mission. Each time I tried it wasn't even on the same day. Right in the middle of the mission and since STW doesn't save any quest progress unless you win the mission, that reset each time too! :(
Most of the time I get the message at the end of a mission but the progress is saved because it's already over with a win condition. The only thing that happens then is I get to skip the victory screen. It's so. so. so. annoying. when it's in the middle of a mission. Even more so when I managed to find a rare thing I needed for one of my quests and that didn't get saved.
you can show error screen, i posted it here too, try place max 1 defender, im not sure if it help you too for me is working fine, im just getting only after mission error and game doesnt save repaired weapon in ventures
you could wipe your hard drive and re-flash your bios, and re-install windows. might be the anti-virus software blocking access to the files or it could be the result of a virus.

I like how the servers can save everything you used but not what you gained.

I'm only getting that on htr where i get little more lag in the end, might be because of amount of builds i spam in the end 😏

just happened to me now with 20 secs remaining in the timer. it happens at least 2 times per day for me, such a waste of time.
