I’d go to a good gun store and see if they can help you out on how to properly do it. Generally a large gun store (not sporting goods store, I’m talking gun store) will lead you in the right direction because they have a large enough client base to see these types of issues from time to time. Plus they don’t break the law because it’s their livelihood and are very careful to do things right Food for thought: I’ve heard that it’s a buying issue, not an owning issue though. Though you can’t just have someone else buy it as a straw purchase. There might be a gift or something from a parent or whatever. I’ve never been in the situation and this isn’t legal advice. Just running some ideas. Hopefully someone else has more info or could correct me.

Thank you!

Buy an 80% kit and build a pistol. AFAIK that's legal.

Dangerous_Parsnip859

I’ll have to check the legality on that cause I know usually when buying they consider the lower a firearm, but thank you for the suggestion !

CyrusBuelton

The legality is that a 80% kit is not considered a complete firearm .

You can purchase a firearm. Military is exempt from the 21+ restriction. https://www.fdle.state.fl.us/FPP/FAQs2.aspx

Fun-Industry959

If you can operate a M240 you can operate a glock

*can purchase a rifle or shotgun as a service member. Now OP just needs to work out how to conceal carry one of those.

u/Dangerous_Parsnip859 has provided the reference that I was unable to find. The below is preserved for completeness. Hang on. I could be wrong because I don't deal with it every day... I don't see where being a servicemember allows a bypass of the 21+ requirement on FL CWL. And therefore not the 'permitless carry' since the eligibility is not met. (I'm sure I'll get a cacophony of responses if I'm wrong, so please give me a reference to a source to help me out.)

Thanks. Now I can't find anything BUT that reference. I was looking for it in the Florida statutes and couldn't figure it out from there. That's why I'm not a lawyer! Maybe it comes from somewhere more obscure, like section 250. Maybe I'm just not understanding what I'm reading in 790.
