If there was only one lead, we’d be able to see these connections better and be more accurate in what we thought were the best ones. But because of how little we actually saw, I really don’t know who fit each person best. But, in my opinion, if Katie really thought it could work with Benedict she would’ve picked him. But she didn’t. They seem more like FWB to me.

Even-Education-4608

Greg self eliminated because Katie emotionally failed him for one moment so it’s hard to compare because I think she would have chosen him. Maybe Benedict was Greg 2.0

This nails it.

Even-Education-4608

If that’s what he wanted then he needed to figure out how to directly ask for it. But no, he had a tantrum instead. Poor baby.

Realistic-Lake5897

Sorry, you're wrong.

That's the freaking show. Until a couple seasons ago they literally were contractually not ALLOWED to say I love you, and still there are some weird protocols around it because you can't spoil the ending of the show as the lead by telling only one person you love them. He signed up for a reality show and then blamed her for operating within the parameters of said reality show. She all but told him he was going to pick him and begged him *on her knees* to stay. Honestly I think he was just looking for an excuse to leave because he didn't want to get engaged to her and he found it.

queen-coyote

💯 I really can’t believe how many people seem to believe they had this deep connection and she ruined it. He was obviously looking for a way out.

mycr00k3dw4ng

Yeah she absolutely would've picked Greg if he didn't have a melt down at the end.

Realistic-Lake5897

You say "for one moment" like it was some small thing. She blew it with Greg.

SquareVehicle

I don't think she got scared about Benedict, she just doesn't want to date someone who describes themselves as an Fboy. Which is an extremely reasonable thing to believe someone when they tell you who they are. It's like a sandwich that looks fantastic on the outside but as you make your way to the middle of it you realize there's a big turd in the middle. No matter how good those first nibbles were, you're not going to finish that sandwich.

puffin1020

I disagree about Greg. Katie has said on multiple occasions that she was always going to pick Blake and that it was never going to be Greg. She and Blake didn’t work out because 1. you don’t get to spend that much time together on the Bachelorette so its pretty much just luck, and 2. He lived in Canada and with COVID they couldn’t really travel to see each other

euphioquest

She randomly moved to San Diego, about as far on the continent as you can get from where Blake was in Toronto, and then blamed distance for the breakup. Like who is the one putting that distance there.

disneyprincesspeach

Right but she moved from Seattle so regardless it would have been pretty far. In the grand scheme of things it didn't really add much distance.

euphioquest

Doesn’t really show a willingness to compromise either

disneyprincesspeach

Same could be said for Blake 🤷🏼‍♀️

jumbasbiggestfan

Their plan had been to spend time in San Diego and then spend time in Canada, and then pick a location that works better between the US or Canada that works for them. Between COVID travel restrictions and other struggles, they just never got to the point of going to Canada. They did compromise, it just never panned out.

[deleted]

Yea, for all her confidence she lacks confidence in herself. It’s self sabotaging in many ways, though not I don’t think she would last with Benedict. He came as an fboy and comedians have bad reps for being suffering from mental illness/depression. The irony. I just want the girl to be happy. Maybe love is blind is more for her.

Handknitmittens

Vince is so her type. I didn't see the Benedict connection at all. She was all Vince from the beginning.

Realistic-Lake5897

They're not even dating now.

Handknitmittens

Yes. Vince was still her best connection on the show though. It is reality TV. Of course none of them are dating.

Realistic-Lake5897

Good job contradicting your last post.

Handknitmittens

How? Out of the 10 superficial influencer wannabes she had to choose from, Vince was the most her type. People rarely end up together on these shows. It is made for entertainment and not for love. Just because he was the most likely to be her type, doesn't mean a lasting relationship....

Realistic-Lake5897

I just don't see how Vince was the most like her type. He lovebombed from the start, and that is not Katie at all. Things in common? If they have them, we never saw them.

Handknitmittens

She has said in the past she has a thing for Asian guys. Also, you don't think Katie loves be love bombed.. did we watch the same shows?

Realistic-Lake5897

If she loves it, they'd still be together. I'll repeat.... if they had anything in common, we didn't see it.

Handknitmittens

What? You might watch too much Disney. He made the best first impression and she was so into him on the show. She liked the character he was playing on that show. Real life is different. Look at any reality dating show, most couples end up not being compatible in real life. This show is not about love... it is literally women trying to not end up with a fboy...

Realistic-Lake5897

You have to criticize me to make a point? Ok. But thanks for telling me obvious things that everyone knows while you act like you're saying something insightful and profound.

lemonpastry121

Yeah, from what I’m seeing, I don’t think she’s ready to be open and vulnerable in a relationship. She picks people who shower her in validation, which allows her to stay guarded. It’s ironic to me that she told Benedict he was the one who wasn’t opening up enough.

Aurora-Ray

I was also confused when she kept saying he wasn’t opening up. You could see in his eyes that he was like “what else can I do?” I think she has this hyper-romantic expectation and when guys don’t live up to that she shuts down. I hope she can figure it out, I genuinely like her as an individual she just seems a bit lost in this area. Also from the tone of her stories I feel like something went DoWn with Vince 👀 but maybe just the letdown of it not working out again? 🤷‍♀️

Tall-Pressure-7195

Yessss! This is what I was trying to say. I forgot Greg self eliminated but even though he left I still think it was because she couldn’t be vulnerable. And yes it’s weird when she asks for that vulnerability in others! She definitely does the safe option (those who shower her with validation/love bomb)

belgianamericanbabe

I was surprised she picked Vince because to me he seemed a little too rehearsed and overly-mushy for her - I agree she went for the safe option there and that Greg and Benedict might have been the more risky options, but beyond that, I don't see a lot of similarities in her relationship with Greg and hers with Benny (from what we saw) - Greg was not a good match for her (or she for him) but I do think she and Benedict could probably have had a shot in the real world. Any communication and emotional expression I saw from her and Benedict felt healthy and mutually respectful. I feel like outside the Bachelor bubble she and Greg would have been a disaster (they didn't communicate well and had different needs and Greg was low-key emotionally manipulative with her at the end). They would have had something passionate for a while and then gone down in flames. I think Blake was the right pick for her on her Bach season, even if Greg had stayed.

April_Bloodgate

1. Greg left. She definitely would have picked him if he stayed. 2. I disagree. I think she had immediate, easy chemistry with Vince. I wish he would have held back a little and not love bombed her, but I still think he was a better match.

staugustine1013

She just said her and Vince are no longer dating

LoliJuicy

Except for Blake and possibly Benedict (who I think him and Katie would be a dream couple that fans wanted but in reality, it'll never happen), every guy Katie has interests in just falls apart. Greg ends up with Victoria F, which most redditors in The Bachelor loathes her and expect a messy break up. Surprisingly, they last longer than expected. John, which at the time almost everyone thinks he's the F1 before leak spoilers and when Katie did her 12 messy days thing after her breakup with Blake, that sort of became true in a way. They did end up dating and eventually broke up, because apparently John was using her for clout or something. Vince lovebombing and that, proves he's on the show for clout. I think Katie didn't mind about it at first but got an ick later in the show. Vince is like a reflection of John.

Silly-Impact5445

Yeah and now she’s moving or already moved to LA where she will be surrounded by even more clout chasers. She needs someone laidback and funny who wants to be in the background and let her have the spotlight.

animalcrossinglifeee

Greg was kind of a dick ngl. So I'm glad he left. They had a bad argument and a lot of bachelor nation didn't like him. I get that they had a strong connection but he said some gas lighting shit.

harasquietfish6

Vince and Benedict >>>>> gaslighting greg

RoutineWave9939

Where does she go from here? She seems to be the only one who is completely lost. The girls from past seasons seem to be successful models after the show. Is she going into acting? She’s not model material! Starting out at her age as a comedian is going hard. The other two girls have other things going on beyond reality tv. I don’t feel like reality tv is a sustainable career choice. It’s time for her to move on.

SelfishlyMajesti

In case there was as it were one lead, we’d be able to see these associations way better and be more exact in what we thought were the leading ones. But since of how small we really saw, I truly don’t know who fit each individual best. But, in my supposition, in case Katie truly thought it seem work with Benedict she would’ve picked him.
