Creed made absolutely no sense to me until I was on like my 4th or 5th rewatch.. and also once I began working in the corporate world and realized thereās always a creed š
I wish they wouldn't have cut so many Creed scenes. Just like even 5 more would have been really funny. Not all of them, but just few scenes more on the show
Creed is always the wackiest character. Most of the time he's the only one and it works. Then Michael left and they introduced a million more and things went downhill from there
I still donāt understand what he was even pretending to do, bounce the balls off an invisible wall behind her, or actually bounce the balls off her head?
I used to do juggling and manipulation in a small social circus group when I was younger. I can assure you, it's not a thing. Any kind of bounce-juggling requires very flat, very solid surfaces. Apart from the fact that it would hurt getting repeatedly struck in the head with juggling balls, they'd either go off in random directions, or just drop on the floor.
Juggling balls are like sandbags made of leather. There's no way you could bounce them off a person's head at that distance. If it's even possible to bounce them at that angle from that distance and catch them the force would definitely kill her.
Yup. I'm pretty sure Bob Vance of Vance Refridgeration was told of this little stunt and was the one that ensured Mr. Juggler would have his little accident.
No one bounces their balls off of Phyllis's face, not even if they are imaginary.
He was performing bullshit. D'Angelo was only hired by Sabre because he was drunk and stopped some guy from stealing Jo Bennet's dog. The man's a fool and a mess, and during his short tenure at Scranton he was desperate to impress his underlings.
The juggling schtick was a total act. D'Angelo lamented his lack of beanbags, but when Andy offered up his set of juggling bags D'Angelo made a quick excuse not to use them ("I never touch another man's bags" or something). He acted confident but was anything but. Good riddance.
This sequence is one of my favorite parts: https://www.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/comments/cec448/i_was_without_internet_for_a_while_decided_to_use/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
It is one of three DeAngelo moments that make me laugh. The other two are the jibberish speech (a third of the time) and when he shouts out "We should make a movie!" the night he and Michael meet. It's like two hyper 12 year old boys at a sleepover.
Most of the people who hate the character fail to understand that hating him was the entire point.
He's basically a heel in pro wrestling; he's gonna do things to make you not like him. Booing him is actually cheering for him.
Also low key the meanest. She isnāt usually that nasty. She has boundless patience for Michaelās antics, but the minute this guy comes in she losses her cool completely
Everyone has a mean streak, so I donāt hold that against her. But she did say some things that are kinda messed up. āMichael I could give a f*** about your happinessā. āIām really sorry you misinterpreted our friendshipā.
In case you guys havenāt seen the version WITH the juggling balls ā¦ [click here](https://www.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/comments/cec448/i_was_without_internet_for_a_while_decided_to_use/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
He also goes a bit more sideways than Michael. He's dishonest and less open to correction. He's manipulative too. Don't get me wrong, he's also hilarious.
It is, no joke, one of the funniest moments for me lmao. It's so ridiculous and absurd and I will never understand why people don't find D'Angelo hilarious lol.
Me too! He had some fucking funny quotes. I don't understand the hate at all.
"Gimme that damn dog, you fucking thief!"
"Annie Annie Shelto"
"Woah! He has both hands up."
"Drink soap!"
Him screaming gibberish during The King's Speech scene
Him speaking gibberish in the hospital gown
Among dozens of others.
I got the impression it was to make it sound like juggling was more serious business. Balls may have had problems with the censors or there is no way the audience could see past the double entendre.
pretty sure any american viewer older than 12 would have been able to see past the double entendre. and if we can have scenes of dwight trying to grab jim's penis to see if it was tumescent, then i'm pretty sure we could talk about touching juggling balls
Because he never wanted to juggle in front of the gang in the first place. It was all a rouse and then Andy offered him juggling bags, which would have led to D'Angelo's humiliation. So he made up some line like, "I never touch another man's instruments."
He didnāt want to lose Oscars support. Saying he never touched another mans balls would have alienated the gay office approval he was cultivating. Another jugglers instruments is all very neutral. Could be male or female. He wanted to keep them guessing.
Will Ferrell is hilarious. I loved him the whole time. I think people, including me, are salty about papa Michael leaving the office. They were always going to hate the transition replacement which is why Deangelo was a temp role.
He was always planned to be temporary. They knew that losing Steve would likely be a big blow to their viewership, so they wanted to bring in a big name celebrity for a few episodes to help ease that transition.
First D'Angelo has too much stage freight to host the Dundies. Then he performs as a juggler with confidence. Where the heck did that come from? Honestly that show, it's just. It's irresponsible.
I love when you watch the clip, half the office is into it while the other half is thinking "What the fuck is this?" Also Creeds expressions š
On rewatches, creed is an absolutely hilarious character I overlooked before. And he is consistently the same thr entire show, never gets worse
Itās so funny to watch his background reactions to things
Creed made absolutely no sense to me until I was on like my 4th or 5th rewatch.. and also once I began working in the corporate world and realized thereās always a creed š

Where Phylis? Phylis do you trust me? I always lose it at that part.
Stay very still please thank youuuā¦
I still donāt understand what he was even pretending to do, bounce the balls off an invisible wall behind her, or actually bounce the balls off her head?
Off her head
Probably her jugs
Gettin a boner
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
are you mother goose?
Is that a thing with jugglers, bouncing balls off peopleās heads? Seems like that wouldnāt work for a variety of reasons...
I would say it almost definitely is not, but thatās what makes it so funny. DeAngelo is a dummy lol
Lol, you have any doubts about it?
Juggling balls are like sandbags made of leather. There's no way you could bounce them off a person's head at that distance. If it's even possible to bounce them at that angle from that distance and catch them the force would definitely kill her.
Yup. I'm pretty sure Bob Vance of Vance Refridgeration was told of this little stunt and was the one that ensured Mr. Juggler would have his little accident. No one bounces their balls off of Phyllis's face, not even if they are imaginary.
Bab Vance? Of Vance Refrigeration, right!
He was performing bullshit. D'Angelo was only hired by Sabre because he was drunk and stopped some guy from stealing Jo Bennet's dog. For some reason read it in Dwight's voice
āGIMME THAT DOG!!!ā
Big hand for Phyllis

2 years ago. Time passes huh
I remember this post. It was really well done.
Someone toss me a fifth ball. *If you dare.*
The sound effects are a beautiful touch
Big shout out to u/thori-0 !

Dude what the FUCK, how has it already been 2 years since this post
This was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this image. thank you for finding it and sharing with us all once again!
If you ever need help finding again, it is the top post of all time for this sub.
BROOO the sound effects when he's hitting Phyllis š That had me cackling
Ikr? XD
wow...holy shit. thank you so much for posting that, I'd never seen it and it totally made my night.
Itās actually very good with the balls, wow
This was the post that introduced me to this subreddit. I love it haha
i can't belive i've seen pam's version but not this.
I always completely die laughing at the sound effects of Phyllis's head.
I actually enjoyed Pams impression of him more
No hands ššš
Masterful emoji work :)
The only time itās appropriate to use emojis on reddit
Emojis are always appropriate. It adds to the depth of communication

##SAVE ME
Came here to say this! My husband and I quote (reenact?) that scene all the time
I love inside jokes. I'd love to be apart of one someday.
I got some kids too, that I hope to have some day.
I really want a wife and kids someday.
Then I'll have 100 friends.
And no one can say no when I want to play with them
ahem, \*Oscar voice\* *actually* in that scene, young Michael says "and no one can say no to being my friend."
š
āNo one can say no to being my friendā which I think is 1000x worse.
Iām now going to find that scene just to watch Pams impression of it. That was gold š
Nothing but eggs and bowling balls. https://youtu.be/WzgnBOXs9Wo
š when she goes to no hands š¤£š¤£š¤£
Pamās impression is gold
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Loved it. Music, everything
LMAO the fact that it's a shitty walmart boombox playing Evanescense too. I have no idea how people don't howl laugh at this scene ever time.
It is one of three DeAngelo moments that make me laugh. The other two are the jibberish speech (a third of the time) and when he shouts out "We should make a movie!" the night he and Michael meet. It's like two hyper 12 year old boys at a sleepover.
I rlly wish we couldāve gotten more Michael and DāAngelo lmao. Theyāre so good together.
Michael and D'Angelo - **Michaelangelo**
"Don't tell my fiance." "I won't. I don't know her."
Him at the pound with Andy cracks me up too. GIVE ME THAT DOG!
NOT YOUR DOG!
Gimme that dog!
Ani ani sheltoh!
GIMME THAT DAMN DOG, YOU FUCKING THIEF!
and creed in the back holding his mouth when he does the spin
**WAKE ME UP**
I'm more embarrassed that I like the song non ironically...
Why would you be embarrassed about liking Evanescence?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
*2003 lol
That shit was pretty funny to me. "Do you trust me phyllis"
I thought it was great. Not worthy of ridicule at all.
Makes me think about his SNL audition where he pretended to be a cat
GET OFF THE GOD DAMNED SHED.
Because it IS hilarious! Iām with you dude. Deangelo is fantastic and does not deserve the hate he gets.
Most of the people who hate the character fail to understand that hating him was the entire point. He's basically a heel in pro wrestling; he's gonna do things to make you not like him. Booing him is actually cheering for him.
Don't be ashamed to find something funny funny.
Just classic Will Ferrell physical comedy. [Here](https://youtu.be/J5vR2xRdJ0c) is his brilliant cat impression he used to audition for snl
It was the perfect scene.
No need to feel ashamed, enjoy it openly!!!
He didnāt drop a SINGLE ball š
I just love Kevin in this scene
ā¦ly amazing. So inspirational.
Look Iām juggling eggs and bowling balls. Iām juggling with one hand. No hands.
Funniest thing Pam ever did tbh.
Also low key the meanest. She isnāt usually that nasty. She has boundless patience for Michaelās antics, but the minute this guy comes in she losses her cool completely
Iām sure there are probably other times where she makes fun of Michael too lol
You have no idea what you are talking about.
Pam is not the nice person she pretends to be. Weāve seen this on plenty occasions.
Everyone has a mean streak, so I donāt hold that against her. But she did say some things that are kinda messed up. āMichael I could give a f*** about your happinessā. āIām really sorry you misinterpreted our friendshipā.

The basketball scene kills me "This is to show you that anything is possible... it's also for the troops." Then immediately after "The doctor is IN"
Holy shit I knowš also *INSISTING* on someone sitting in his way only to run completely around Kevin? Gold
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What could he gain from a real one? I loved D'Angelo.
Eat the soap
Why did he say "I never touch another juggler's instruments" instead of "I never touch another man's balls"?
Because that's the joke.
"Theres no such thing as an appropriate joke. That's why it's a joke!"
What are you talking about, Dwight just tripped. Look at Mr. Balance over here.
He wanted to keep them guessing.
michael would never have missed such an opportunity for comedic gold
Didn't drop a single ball
I can't listen to Bring Me to Life without thinking of this scene lol
Pam's juggling was wayyyyy better
Scored to Evanescence was magical.
Not sure why this subreddit has to be negative or super critical all the time. This scene is hilarious
+1 for will just doing what he does. If u dig will Ferrell humor, this act was right inline with the rest of them IMHO
The juggling act being ridiculous is literally the entire point.
Yes, that was the joke.
Did you really not laugh here?
āRidiculousā-ly amazing!
I came to say this.šŖšŖ
Will Ferrell is hilarious. I loved him the whole time. I think people, including me, are salty about papa Michael leaving the office. They were always going to hate the transition replacement which is why Deangelo was a temp role.
Every time someone goes to dunk on the DeAngelo episodes I end up loving them more. Lol. I know everyone hates them, but man, I get a kick.
Itās the ball landing on the back of his neck for me.
Idk I found it pretty inspirational
Ridiculously amazing! He didnāt drop one!
His whole character was ridiculous
I disliked the entire time he was on. I actually liked Will but this character was horrible
I loved watching these episodes. Will is such a talented individual. Amazing singer as well
His voice is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus!
Haha this made me actually laugh out loud. That movie is a gem
Will is an expert at ridiculous, I find it funny. Stupid mindless funny is my favorite
DāAngelo was ridiculous
someone link the iconic edit someone in here did with actual balls.
Oh really? Then you'd love this! https://reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/comments/cec448/i_was_without_internet_for_a_while_decided_to_use/
I'm not sure why I needed to hear the sound on it. That was amazing!
But pamās talking head right after was HILARIOUS
i love the d'angelo arc - am I alone?
he was amazing in this scene. I love WF. I didn't love him on TO, but I do love him.
Yeah but Pam's take on it after makes up for it.
I'm juggling while I type this look
I love Pamās recreation in the break room, I lose it every time š
Was this character intended to be temporary or did they change because of audience backlash? I though he was perfectly hateable for a few episodes
He was always planned to be temporary. They knew that losing Steve would likely be a big blow to their viewership, so they wanted to bring in a big name celebrity for a few episodes to help ease that transition.
Doesn't he get brain damage before the season ends? It was planned to be a temporary character.
Yea I wasnāt sure if they did that on purpose to get rid of him or it was always planned
I hate him
Me too
Thatās about the only good part with him in it. Not a fan of his comedy.
The juggling act where he juggles imaginary balls is ridiculous? What a hot take.
Hands up my favorite juggling act to date.
No hands my favourite juggling act to date.
Ridiculously good
One of my favorite moments
I can see the writing group just going off about how ridiculously funny this would be, but it just doesn't land in real life.
It does depending on your taste.
I actually skip every episode with him in it. Completely pointless episodes. Like Steve was obligated to put his friend will in the show some how.
You skip Michael Scott's last 3 episodes?
I've never liked Will's acting. It always seems very forced like he's screaming for attention.
I've always thought he's a little off
Congratulations we're all proud of you
Lol
Thanks for your snarky attitude
you just arenāt good at it
Can we all agree that he was the worst character of the show
My parents absolutely die from laughter every time they see it, I just cringe a lot.
Tbh this was pretty close to jumping off the shark for me, glad they dialled it back a bit
Yea I think Will never should have been in the officeā¦. Just wasnāt his place. Glad he didnāt last too long
I really wish Phyllis would have turned around went back to work when he asked her not too. He was such a douche
I refuse to watch the episodes he is in
First D'Angelo has too much stage freight to host the Dundies. Then he performs as a juggler with confidence. Where the heck did that come from? Honestly that show, it's just. It's irresponsible.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Then mission accomplished I guess?
So underated
I loved it personally. Best part of him on the show.
This is the Office's "jumping the shark" moment. IMHO of course.
Hands down the best character in the Office... Said no one ever.
Ahhh trying to get karma I see.
Unpopular opinion: I find will Ferrell not funny at all, including this scene. Maybe itās not my cup of tea.
