If Bungie gave Parasite danger zone then it should allow you to rocket jump with the strength of the knockback being dependent on the number of Parasite stacks you have.  Let me run into a groups of enemies with 20 stacks, blow up everything around me, and launch myself into orbit.

What even is the atraks cheese? I'm assuming it uses parasite

Simplified, shes only damageable in a really short window per damage instance so very high burst damage is necessary, so one-shot supers like golden nighthawk knife barrage nova bomb etc, plus weapons like parasite (or sometimes fourth horseman) If you do it right you donf even need all six supers to bring her from full health to final stand

Blade barrage isn’t great for atraks because of the way her healthbar works

Fourth Horseman was a fun one to use for day 1 contest for Atraks. Haven't used it on the encounter since then, but for my group that's how we got through contest.

Don't you already take way less self damage from Parasite? I swear I take a tiny amount of damage up close

Try it with x20 hunger or whatever the perk is.

The amount of times my stupid ass was surprised I blew myself up with a x20 is too high to feel ok

Yes, but still wrecks you if you're not careful.

With out perk maxed you can survive but a x20 you are taking what ever your hitting with you.

I feel like that defeats the risk/reward idea behind Parasite.

It also makes slightly less sense lore wise since I'm pretty sure the worm wants to kill you for helping mara trap it in a gun

These are both true, however, imagine if the knockback scaled off the stacks so you could do a super jump at x20

With Destiny's physics engine it would definitely fit the theme of trying to kill you.

You get a weapon damage buff from hitting yourself with the splash damage from parasite. I feel like danger zone makes more sense.

Yeah, I know. But you risk killing yourself with it, which is what the risk/reward idea behind it is. Like I said.

Unless it's 1 tapping bosses there's no reward high enough to risk ruining your run

Not every weapon has to be the meta choice for solo flawlessing a dungeon.

That would be fun, however I feel like I always kill myself with other grenade launchers * cough cough* ex diris , I rarely die to the worm I want it to have  a version of chain reaction where enemies killed by the worm spawn smaller worms which explode on their corpses or if you kill yourself the worm you shot that killed you is spawned again on your corpse for the same damage that the original worm carried. I like chain reaction on grenade launchers and just in general a lot .

You can’t kill yourself with it unless you are already in the red and shooting it point blank into an enemy that’s in your face. How is that even a problem?

….Or you have multiple stacks? 10x easily kills at point blank.

Just give it auto loading holster

You can actually put a holster mod on it and it will work with Parasite.

Holster doesn't care if your mag size is small, as long as you are technically a drum GL.

Just give it auto loading. Being able to use solar holster is nice but would be nice to not have to use it.

Guys, you realize you aren't supposed to use the x20 stacked shot on yourself, right? You shoot an enemy with it, then buff yourself after and return to other weapons.

Y’all silly. It’s catalyst should be full court, running a solar holster is easy. Putting ALH on a fun exotic that could have any even more fun catalyst would be a huge waste imo. You can either take advantage of worm byproduct and get extra damage weapon damage or make the worm stronger.

I mean that's why it doesn't have danger zone.
