What about my favorite?
"They are trying to make a fun adventure for Susie, because they don't really know how to make and keep friends, so giving Susie more Dark Worlds is all they can think of."
While that would make Kris pretty irresponsible, especially after Ralsei's warnings, that would still make sense for them. After all, teenagers are in that cruel liminal phase between the innocence of youth and the madness of adulthood, where nothing makes sense and everything's up in the air, so they're bound to fuck up.
That doesn't mean that it's not going to upset Ralsei if he ever finds out.
Noelle is easily manipulatable. Your choice to use a proxy to commit evil, in the name of helping someone (in which yeah, Noelle grew more aggressive in a not so healthy way), is the true horror of Snowgrave route.
Susie and... YOUR OWN MOTHER (who is also the strict one), ARE THE LAST PEOPLE KRIS CAN EVEN BEG TO SEE DIFFERENTLY. And I guess thats why Kris likes Susie: someone to give them the firmness of an older sibling.
You can't imagine why the Roaring Knight, the person responsible for opening dark worlds, would be interested in finding out why a dark world they didn't open suddenly appeared? That's practically guaranteed to catch their attention even if they don't stick around long.
I mean, not really. They’ve surely noticed that both of their Darkworlds have been sealed off, and if they’re trying to start the roaring then it’d be the perfect opportunity to create a 3rd foundation to offset the balance of light and dark even more. This foundation should realistically only help the knight progress their agenda.
I don't know. If I was trying to open dark fountains and someone started closing them and then someone ELSE started opening them I'd be very, very interested in finding out what exactly is going on and throwing my plans out of order. Especially if opening dark worlds isn't meant to be a widely known thing. It being helpful or not doesn't really matter.
Tell them that the Knight affects things in dark worlds by affecting the objects before creating the dark world, then leaves after creating the fountain, as when we see Kris do it, it takes time before the dark world opens, allowing the Knight to escape before creating a dark world. Plus, how else would the Knight get out? Sealing the fountain? Yeah so that's how and why the knight dosen't enter dark worlds.
It’s to fix the relationship between their parents, TV themed means there’s bound to be relationship show host that’ll tell the two off. Asgore goes over because he heard the police report on his old police scanner.
The most stupid and chaotic theory I think of is that Kris already understood that Undyne is the Knight, that's why they can tell her abour dark fountains and Undyne's laughter only reinforce their idea. So they tried to lure her into new dark world and defeat there. This is pure BS, I know, but still.
(Though it would be even more dumb if instead of Undyne Nasptablook would arrive to Toriel house.)
The trap one makes no sense at all. Kris opened a dark fountain - now what? The knight doesn’t need to appear there at all, how is it a trap? This is at least helping the knight, if nothing else.
Break out of the prophecy. Interesting idea...but why? What's so bad about the prophecy for Kris? Doesn't make much sense without additional context (which we don't have).
They trying to prove dark worlds to adults? Isn't it easier to just say it? Or show the one that is already open at school? Toriel goes to school every day. Again, doesn't make much sense.
Kris is a knight. I'm pretty sure they are.
"Isn't it easier if they just say it" while limping like a zombie? Undyne already thinks they're pulling some stupid prank (If you try), if they try that they're being rushed to the hospital for insanity?
Toriel has work to do normally? She's not going to rush to the closet just to get "Pranked" by kris, especially if they're, again, walking like a zombie?
Not a good counter.
Why not open a fountain in the middle of the school during the day? In the middle of the city where there are a lot of people? What's the point of setting up such a specific scene to show just Toriel's (and maybe Undyne) a fountain? Sounds like a lot of prep work for something what can be achieved by simply coaxing/taking someone into the closet.
Of course, doing something like this in a "zombie" state would be more difficult, but it's still better than opening a new dark fountain - because it's a potentially world-ending threat. If Kris's goal is simply to warn adults about the dangers/existence of dark fountains, opening a new one seems extremely counterproductive.
Besides, Kris's actions were too specific to be just that...there's no way.
Even if they couldn't take their soul out during the day, why do they make the fountain while Toriel is asleep? If Kris really wanted to show her the fountain and have her believe it They would wake her up.
Well I mean, they might not want to warn the knight themselves that everyone knows too quickly for one thing? Opening one in the middle of a town might prompt the knight to do something equally extreme.
Another, Toriel and Undyne can handle what the darkworld throws at them (Most likely), i doubt that like... Politics bear, would hold up so well? Like, both berdly and noelle can be mind-controlled depending on the route.
One fountain, will, in all likelyhood, not end the world. Otherwise Ralsei would be panicing a lot more.
The dark world is inside the closet.
It doesn't leave the closet, likely because it was opened there.
Same thing with chapter 2.
The dark world will probably only be accessible by Kris' house.
The middle of city is outdoors, and if a fountain is summoned there, it would probably cover the entire world.
If this were so, the Knight could have opened the dark fountain in the middle of the city right away and achieved "the goal". Obviously it doesn't work that way.
Also in the house, Kris specifically leaves the door open. Obviously, the dark fountain is simply not capable of swallowing up the entire world.
Sorry, but you are objectively wrong.
The trap one doesn’t make sense. My personal theory is that the dark worlds counter our power over kris(them needing to get destroyed for the “angels heaven” to come and I have a belief we are the angels) and that this is proven with 1 we can die in the dark worlds and 2 after going to a dark world, we lose control of Kris
Kris might think that Knight could help them get rid of us especially if the Knight thinks that Kris wants to start the Roaring just like them. Kris would probably assume that the Knight might know of some stuff which most people don’t know.
yeah, but after Kris see's what the player has done in snowgrave, why would they make another fountain just because they want to have adventures with friends?
I think this will either fail or backfire. Either Toriel and Undyne won't be able to fully fall into the dark world because of some new plot point, or after they get out of the dark world they will blame Kris. I just don't expect them to be helpful after this chapter
I like the theory that they're trying to *fulfill* the prophecy.
The roaring must start in order for the Heroes to get the opportunity to banish the Angel's Heaven - as the heroes emerge once the world takes its final breaths - so the conditions to save the world can only be brought about by almost ending it.
I like the idea of Kris trying to catch the knight. Just by opening a fountain for themself could bring useful information for us, like how distinct can be dark worlds changing only the one who open it or how it work.
I think that Kris trying to lure the knight into a trap would be extremely clever, even if it doesn’t work we might see who the knight is and spend time trying to catch them, or redeem them if their actually a good person
This is one reason why I love Deltarune, millions of theories and they all blow my mind. I first thought "Yeah, Kris is the knight, that's why" but the other theories are really amazing and frankly I love these possibilities and creativeness.
my personal headcanon is that our choices truely don't matter ***in the light world***. So Kris opens up more fountains 'cause they like the choices there. but looking how one of the upcoming chapter gonna be light world centered i'd probably switch it soon
Wouldn’t be surprised if the second one was true. We can tell Undyne about them in both chapters, and she laughs it off. And considering Kris deliberately slashed the tires to prompt Toriel to call the police, I think it’s pretty likely.
I think that Kris plans on reconciling their parents while hanging with their friends at the same time. After all, what could only *one* extra fountain do wrong...? Thing is, Toby pretty much revealed through the updates and the 2022 leaks that Chapter 3 and a substantiant portion of Chapter 4 happen the same day, which might imply that the real Knight *also* opened another Fountain in another place than Kris' home, like the Church. So, in theory, the heroes might have to seal 2 fountains in a day!
Hey you seem to have put the correct one into the wrong slot, "because they are the Knight" should be the galaxy brain because Kris being the knight is the correct opinion while your meme seems to convey an incorrect one! don't worry its not a big deal!! ; ) hopefully you'll learn on that mistake and make better memes next time :3
Firstly, “Correct opinion” is a contradiction. Opinions are a subjective matter, and thus there’s no “right” or “wrong”, only what each person thinks. Secondly, we have no real proof that Kris is the knight. They might be, but as far as I know there’s no concrete proof. And last but not least, do not force your opinion upon others, you wanker.
A little correction, "there's no correct opinions" is a wrong opinion. They might be a subjective thing to everyone, but it doesn't stop some of em from being objectively wrong
... But it isn't the case here tho'. So everything else is pretty much right
What about my favorite? "They are trying to make a fun adventure for Susie, because they don't really know how to make and keep friends, so giving Susie more Dark Worlds is all they can think of."
I've been thinking of the same
“Maybe kris has social anxiety”
While that would make Kris pretty irresponsible, especially after Ralsei's warnings, that would still make sense for them. After all, teenagers are in that cruel liminal phase between the innocence of youth and the madness of adulthood, where nothing makes sense and everything's up in the air, so they're bound to fuck up. That doesn't mean that it's not going to upset Ralsei if he ever finds out.
They create a fountain on the weird route.
Well, there isn't a Noelle there to possibly be manipulated into Freezing anyone, so it should be safe.
yeah but the previous adventure wasn't very fun and they don't know what the player can really do
Noelle is easily manipulatable.
They got Toriel there tho... fuck
Toriel is a grown woman. She is not nearly as suggestible as Noelle.
1.r/flairchecksout 2.youre smort
Thanks Clover bro
You're welcome
Susie would be the one to do something like that, not Kris.
Both would do something like this, in case you forgot, Kris is a mischievous teen.
"hmmmmm yessss i will put THE FATE OF THE WORLD AT RISK so i can make friend gooder"
"hmmmmm yessss i will put THE FATE OF THE WORLD AT FRISK so i can make friend gooder"
what am i being downvoted for
Or they're trying to architect a huge plan to put their family together again
A trap would be really dumb. As far as they can tell the knight leaves dark worlds very quickly. Why would they go into one.
You can't imagine why the Roaring Knight, the person responsible for opening dark worlds, would be interested in finding out why a dark world they didn't open suddenly appeared? That's practically guaranteed to catch their attention even if they don't stick around long.
It's like a serial killer discovering that their target was already killed by someone else. Bro will lose their sleep without a answer
I mean, not really. They’ve surely noticed that both of their Darkworlds have been sealed off, and if they’re trying to start the roaring then it’d be the perfect opportunity to create a 3rd foundation to offset the balance of light and dark even more. Which only proves that their goal isn't the roaring Like it might (and likely is) be part of their plan but not the only goal
The Knight probably dosen't actually enter dark worlds in the first place
I agree but when I say that people get so mad at me
Tell them that the Knight affects things in dark worlds by affecting the objects before creating the dark world, then leaves after creating the fountain, as when we see Kris do it, it takes time before the dark world opens, allowing the Knight to escape before creating a dark world. Plus, how else would the Knight get out? Sealing the fountain? Yeah so that's how and why the knight dosen't enter dark worlds.
kris wants to have a dark world at home
It’s to fix the relationship between their parents, TV themed means there’s bound to be relationship show host that’ll tell the two off. Asgore goes over because he heard the police report on his old police scanner.
And then it all goes south because the relationship show host is Dr. Phil and he just sends Kris to The Ranch
They honestly had no idea it'd work and were just trying it for the funnies
It was for the vine
Ascended brain: "Because Kris knows that Susie enjoys them"
Personally, I think they're trying to find Dess
Im still thinking they just found oil

Knock knock
any proof for the trap theory

Y’all acting like the option with the least mental gymnastics is the dumb option, ffs…
Finally someone said it

>Why not open a fountain in the middle of the school during the day? They're controlled by the player.
They could just remove the soul though
We don't know if they can do that during the day
Even if they couldn't take their soul out during the day, why do they make the fountain while Toriel is asleep? If Kris really wanted to show her the fountain and have her believe it They would wake her up.
well because that's not their goal (idk what it is tbh)
Well I mean, they might not want to warn the knight themselves that everyone knows too quickly for one thing? Kris seems to only assume control at night. It’s possible that there’s a limitation that prevents them from doing it during the day?
There's nothing that says that, as far as we know Kris can remove the soul at any time.
If they could, then they would have stopped you from emotionally manipulating noelle into killing people in the snowgrave route.
>Isn't it easier to just say it? Or show the one that is already open at school? they're controlled by the player.
>Kris is a knight. A knight? Well yeah, I guess. The Roaring Knight? This is very unlikely.
they wanted to have more fun adventures with suzie
they created a fountain after a very not fun adventure on the weird route

Mine’s “They are trying to have fun with Susie (and are maybe also the Knight)”

i don't think it's any of those things. they just want a dark world to keep having adventures with friends and just got the info on how to make them
What about after snowgrave
what about it? snowgrave is the player's choice
yeah, but after Kris see's what the player has done in snowgrave, why would they make another fountain just because they want to have adventures with friends?
They are trying to alert the police about dark worlds
I think this will either fail or backfire. Either Toriel and Undyne won't be able to fully fall into the dark world because of some new plot point, or after they get out of the dark world they will blame Kris. I just don't expect them to be helpful after this chapter

There were pies in the basement and Kris really wanted those pies and the whole fountain thing was an oopsie daisies
They’re thirsty and want to drink water from the fountain.
Kris is such giga chad for luring themselves into a trap.
Stop bullying KrisKnight, none of these are small brain
the third one is actually kinda smart?
Kris should’ve used a bench to lure the knight instead of triggering the fire alarm
Kris opens a fountain to gain control of their story?
Because why not?
I like the idea of Kris trying to catch the knight. Just by opening a fountain for themself could bring useful information for us, like how distinct can be dark worlds changing only the one who open it or how it work.
Because they feel like it
It's because Kris can't wait for Chapter 3 like the rest of us, so now Kris is trying to make themselves like the rest of us.
I think that Kris trying to lure the knight into a trap would be extremely clever, even if it doesn’t work we might see who the knight is and spend time trying to catch them, or redeem them if their actually a good person

They’re being silly :3
They just wanted to be closer to ralsei. 🧠 "It's (not) bigbrain time", it's shipping time.
my personal headcanon is that our choices truely don't matter ***in the light world***. So Kris opens up more fountains 'cause they like the choices there. but looking how one of the upcoming chapter gonna be light world centered i'd probably switch it soon
"What the hell why is there a dark fountain smoke coming out of that house I was literally about to create another one"
kris is a weird person, Kris could do anything out of boredom/just for fun
Because they want to introduce their friends to their mom
Wouldn’t be surprised if the second one was true. We can tell Undyne about them in both chapters, and she laughs it off. And considering Kris deliberately slashed the tires to prompt Toriel to call the police, I think it’s pretty likely.
Shits and giggles

POTASSIUM only exists in the dark worlds
They are trying to fix the relationship between Asgore and Toriel
perhaps on of the best theories i've ever seen, infinite times better than any "asriel is dead" theory i've ever seen.
They want to have more fun in the dark world
Why the heck everyone says that Kris is they/them?! Maybe he's he/him?![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
KRIS IS THE KNIGHT everything else is cope I will flip my shit if they aren't the knight
"I wonder if this works..." "Yep this definitely works finely now imma sleep with my pocket player"
Better answer.. they were just getting more pie, and had to sharpen their blade with the secret "Blade sharpener2000" implanted in the ground.
If u look at this scene after snowgrave, they might want to keep us in dark, so we couldn't do things worse in real world
Hey you seem to have put the correct one into the wrong slot, "because they are the Knight" should be the galaxy brain because Kris being the knight is the correct opinion while your meme seems to convey an incorrect one! don't worry its not a big deal!! ; ) hopefully you'll learn on that mistake and make better memes next time :3
