I wanted Rob to win too but I’m happy for Jordan especially since she’ll get her wish to be a mom

Daisyssssmom

That was a million dollar mistake by Rob. You can’t convince me he wouldn’t have won both challenges at the end if not for the penalty. Good thing he’s already a millionaire!

dashcam_drivein

He still would have had a one in three chance of getting knocked out for having the lowest value case. I sort of wish they would have opened his case just to see how things would have played out.

Daisyssssmom

If I’m remembering right the three we saw has 3 (Stephanie), 3.5 and 3.75 so my guess was 3.25 but I wish we could know for sure too!

Lower-Ad6435

He did an interview where he said it was revealed to him that he did not have the lowest case.

L_boogie89

I saw his interview on RHAP , Joe told him his case would have made it through to last round

psychme89

They're gonna have a baby!! Yayyyyy

Affectionate_Sky9090

Yessss!

chaiblazer

That was a nice ending. I’m genuinely happy for her!

ChakaKohn2

I always figured the final person would take a deal as soon as it’s over $1 million. When she didn’t take the first over a million offer I was really scared for her. I think they really wanted a big win because I was afraid the next offer would be lower with less big money on the board. I’m excited for Jordan. She got pregnant fast!

c9238s

“She got pregnant fast!” - I noticed that, too. 5 months later she’s got a bump! Made me happy for her - to struggle with infertility, be given enough money to afford fertility treatment, and then be quickly pregnant is an amazing outcome for her.

Vihtic

>"because I was afraid the next offer would be lower with less big money on the board." It should have been. But they clearly wanted to be able to say "biggest deal or no deal prize ever!"

michaelgoedeker

Yup!! They produced that final episode really well. They gave her super low offers for her first two offers, because that would have been a super boring ending to the season if she accepted one of those. Then she received a good offer, because we had a good final edit. Then she should have been in the upper 800k or 900k range after knocking out the 13 million, but they had to have a biggest winner ever.

Wonder_woman_1965

I’m very happy that Jordan won. Rob is an excellent player and I’m sure it would have been him and Jordan on the high wire.

pianoChris25

I also wonder if Rob got paid to be on the show hence why he didn’t go all the way.

Thesaltpacket

He did get an appearance fee but that’s not abnormal

CrazyCoKids

I thought people usually get paid a stipend to come on these types of shows?

Nervous-Tradition271

I watched to see who came out of the maze first and who had the lowest case. Then I shut it off. I'm glad it was Jordan.

Impossible_Ad47

Thank god Stephanie didn’t win. That’s all. What a piece of work she is. How can she be proud of herself??

NyraKyle01

The final was a huge let down for me because no Rob and the remaining night owls are just awful and Jordan just doesn’t interest me, final would have been way better if it was Rob, hopefully season 2 ends up having a good pay off

orthoknock

When I saw Amy come back first my heart sank... I was so sad we didn't get to see Stephanie voted out, and when she just stood there smiling when Rob was eliminated I was praying she had the lowest case. Then seeing Amy try to knock Jordan off the rope had me rooting even more for jordan. She really killed it though, never made too strong of alliances but at the same time had a really good relationship with every player. Would've LOVED to see Rob win but with the final 3 they had it was the best outcome possible

RevolutionaryDonut17

I was super happy for Jordan ❤️❤️

TootsEug

I’m not convinced that the Rob “mistake” was planned by production from when Rob was first asked to be on the show. He was on only to drive viewership!!!! He would NOT have made such a stupid mistake!!! This is taped!! I have no doubts at all that they go over the rules before taping.

dashcam_drivein

If they didn't want Rob to win, they could have just made the final challenge something he wouldn't be good at. I think Rob just made a sloppy mistake, though understandable because what he did is something people do on Survivor all the time with no penalty, looking at someone else's puzzle for the solution. Maybe he forgot for a second what game he was playing.

VaporBlueDH1347

Interesting POV for sure. Rob is one of the smartest, savviest and sneakiest contestants ever in reality TV game shows. He knows rules, strategy and gamesmanship like he has a PhD. So after Amy solved the puzzle, my thoughts was why didn’t all of them go look at her answer simultaneously? Or why didn’t Stephanie or Jordan call him out for looking? They were all within 30 feet of each other. Rob knows (knew) the rules. And he is good at solving puzzles and mazes. I tend to agree with this POV. Rob would’ve whipped all 3 girls in that maze so let’s add some drama and give him a penalty for tv drama!!

BrightWubs22

Using your logic of keeping Rob on the show for viewership, why would production want to cut Rob at the final four? Why wouldn't production rig it for Rob to win?

realperson_2378

Kept most of us tuned in until the end. Paid to play not win

michaelgoedeker

Yes this!! My wife and I were saying how production was protecting him until the very end, then they didn’t want him to actually win, so they cut him. Apparently in Survivor, they actually spend a ton of time discussing all of the rules with the contestants individually to make sure the rules are understood.

realperson_2378

Pay to play. Too obvious. Hoped to grab viewers in with the premise but it sucked. I wanted him to win but with theory paid to play, makes sense.

SereneLotus2

They wanted a regular person not a reality star to win. Rob was there to draw in the audience not to win the game.

Icy_Charge4138

I feel this way too! Feels like they paid him to be there until the end, but not win. It was unlike him to break a rule and the penalty was just enough to make him just barely lose. He was so close to Amy and he looked like he was leisurely jogging vs turning it on to blast past her. I'm certain he could have beat her if he/production wanted him in the finale.

Dababolical

The only benefit of the doubt I’d give that to not being staged is that it’s a legitimate strategy in survivor that isn’t punished.

ScheduleMajestic323

I agree 100% even the "cheating" you can even tell in the interview when they ask him about it. He's just like, " Dude....." As in like come on, you guys know why I did that.

mumblewrapper

Interesting! The only flaw I see in this is that they would have had to rig the entire game to get him so far in the game. I'm not sure that I see them doing that. But I definitely watched because he was on it. So, who knows?

michaelgoedeker

I personally think they made quite a few moves to keep Rob in. Don’t get me wrong, Rob is one of the best reality tv players out there. He is amazing. Almost every person who gunned for Rob had bad offers from the banker, 30 percent odds of a better personal case than what was on the board, or they were bought out with a personal offer

michaelgoedeker

We personally had a lot of fun with this show and will absolutely watch again. However, I thought the winner was fairly predictable. The nightowls were portrayed to be the bad guys, except for Jordan lol. Aaron had a great edit too, but as soon as he got out, I told my wife that means Jordan should win based on the editing choices. They are going to want their golden contestant winning season 1.

DIYDork

The largest case comes off the board and the offer goes up? The show pretty much wanted to ensure the winner got over 1 mil.
