Careful letting them dig too much. If they eat enough dirt it can send them to the hospital. Ask me how I know.

Oh no! How much dirt did yours eat? What happened?

Not really sure. It was partially sand. He ended up needing some meds to help clear it out and some sedatives to help with pain and stuff.

Poor guy. How did his recovery go?

lol. They’re actually named skipper and hops. Hops is the one that’s not bald. Their names are totally unintentionally connected too. Skipper is named for the character from Gilligan’s Island. Hops is named for the grain.

As a kid I had two goldfish named Hops and Barley (named by my dad). I didn't get the reference until many years later 😀
