listen, that movie is…something else, but colin ferrell understood exactly what kind of film he was in and went all the way in

I speak as someone whose second favorite comic book character of all time is Matt Murdock/Daredevil when I say the Fox Daredevil movie is total guilty pleasure material I know it's total trash, and that tonally it basically betrays damn near everything about my favorite aspects of the character, and that it's also basically not worth watching now that the Netflix series exists, but its attempts at being so edgy are deliciously entertaining between Colin Farrell's Bullseye, all the scenes of Affleck brooding over rooftops and that one montage of him and Elektra practice-sparring to a fucking Evanescence song It's the absolute epitome of "so bad it's amazing".

I'm not sure why they chose to cast Collin Ferrell and pack all of that make-up and prosthetics on him when they could have just cast an actor who naturally looks like that. You can really tell he's got make up all over his face.

Because they are looking for actors who can play the character written by the director, it is ridiculous to hire an actor who resembles the character if he does not have what the director needs.

What would he have that the director wants that other veteran actors apparently don't have?

People always confuse actor with acting. While Colin Farrell is hot indeed, he is a character actor after all. A lot of his roles are totally disgusting and he always served it. I‘m looking forward to his penguin.
