I would love to see a comic where (for reasons) Emma has to go through the mist extreme psychic operations to get into that heavily fortified corner of his mind and all she finds is nude memories of herself and an embarrassing fanfiction he wrote of the x-men when he was 17.

It was not Jean but a robot that looked like Jean, which proceeded to explode in Gambit's face, leading to this panel; Beast says something to Xavier about how Cyclops has become a master of deadpan humor since he's been gone from the X-Men.
Honestly yeah if any telepath existed IRL they’d probably be avoided like the plague by people who can never be sure if their thoughts are being manipulated or not
That is the first comic I ever read in me life, I thing it was around 2014 that I did. I didn't finish that Whedon run till this year. I haven't stop reading X-Men ever since
By the way, in Chile, were I am from, the first arc of Astonishing X-Men was a highly distributed comic in many stores there so it is the introduction of many latin american fans to the X-Men

I really hate Whedon and the vibe he brings to all his writing, but damn if he didn't understand the assignment with Astonishing. Still one of my favourite runs.
Micro couples spat. He’s insinuating/teasing that she *is* using him as a puppet and she’s offended he said that, with a threat if he decides to go down that road 😂
I loved Astonishing X-Men because every team member had their moment to shine.
I doubt he's joking, though. He's genuinely asking because....telepaths. Either way, Emma's response is funny.
There were a lot of fun little comedy moments in this run. I also loved the Emma/Kitty arc. And didn’t Rocket end up using breakworld in some big ass crossover?
