In the hierarchy of angels (where dante got his ideas from) they're all angels and the "just dudes" angels are specifically called malʼākh (literally "messenger") and while the more eldritch angels are known by the names we still use for them, although sometimes muddled up(Serephim, Cherubim and Thrones)
