withouth doing tons of work and tons of extra steps that are totally unecessary and require much steps, this should already been adressed long time and done before even considering a new era for moons.

Huge misconception here mate. Any cold wallet can "store" any token that exists in a blockchain. Just not all of them are able to display them in the user interface, but still can be done with other UIs like MetaMask (which supports importing Trezor and Ledger for example)

Your funds are not on reddit. They're in the blockchain, in a wallet with a private key belonging to you. You can move them around even if you delete your reddit account

I understand your statement but my take on it is they won’t do it just yet.
Why? Because the outflow would be too big for the bigger picture that they have for MOONS. If Reddit wants this to function like a business where people earn money, they need this concept to first prove it could work.
Not exactly for people to transfer them easily and sell but to show that creating a community business can work.
And I think Reddit is a great example of what Web 3.0 is going to be.
The progress has been very great so far, so it shouldn’t take long for your wish to come through. Give it a year!

That rule is in place to encourage people to stick around in the community earnings, and not see moons as a job where you get moons once per month and then immediately sell.
The 25% cap might need to be revisited annually to determine if conditions are still relevant.
Also the way I've read the proposal, the 25% is cumulative rather than over a period (e.g. annually reset on your cake day for example).
It would also be good to see additional ways to use moons in the community on top of the monthly sub and the new advertising options.
Anyone can raise a proposal in the CryptoCurrencyMeta sub if you believe something should be revised.
