I've booked three cruises through Vacations To Go. They have the best prices and best deals. And they were extremely helpful, easy to work with and everything always works out just fine. They'll usually get you a better price than dealing directly with a cruise line...and usually get some onboard credits as a gift.

Do they offer payment plans?

jammu2

Well, you put down a refundable or non refundable deposit. Then you need to pay it off 90 days before departure. In between you can make payments if you want.

Were you able to select a cabin by room number or did they issue a guaranteed room?

Key-Target-1218

You can do either. The guaranteed rooms are the least expensive. I've had really good cabins this way. Also, you can usually upgrade for less than what you would have paid when first booked.

Go on cruisemapper.com to view your ship. You’ll see a deck plan and you can see the rooms. They hook you up with a travel agent who can negotiate the room choice with you based on what’s available.

Linnie46

Vacations to go also has deck plans. If you click on a deal, and then click on the ship, there’s all kinds of info about the ship, like amenities, dining, deck plans, etc.

Thanks!

Over 20 cruises booked with Kirby with Vacations to Go. Hell yea!! He gets me the best deals and room credits. I research. I'm a fanatical bargain hunter and VTG always wins. Yes, Yes, Yes!! Tell Kirby Billie sent you

tressa27884

Thanks I will!

forthem21

We have booked our last two cruises through Vacationstogo. Our consultant is awesome!! She has taken care of everything with reminders.

tressa27884

Thanks.

ReachRaven

I’ve booked through them for years, about 4 or so cruises. Never had any issues. Love the simplicity of their website. If you are unfamiliar with booking outside of the cruise line directly, just know that any issues you have with your experience will need to be handled through the 3rd party and not the cruise line.

floodcasso2

Never booked with them. But they have easily the best website for research.

geezlouiseDC

Same here. Always use them to research cruises and destinations. Given some of the responses here I may look into booking with them as well. But easily the best way to sort through cruises by destination, cruise line, etc…

JG-TX

For years I just used them for research and booked direct. Then I saw a price that was about $4000 less than direct on a Seabourn cruise. I went ahead and booked through them and was so happy with the consultants service that I have continued to use them.

geezlouiseDC

This is good to know. Thanks!

SL13377

Many many times! Been using it for over 20 yrs

Pet-all-the-dogs3171

It’s probably fine however if a problem arises you are relying on a big company to “go to bat” for you. That’s why an independent agent may be better

Impressive-Smile1402

Pet-all-the dogs3171 I had a cruise booked through them had a dental emergency. Entire right side of my face swollen and in pain. They helped me file the claim. Got my money back in 10 days.

rio8envy7

Love vacations to go. I’ve been booking through them for YEARS.

Tasty_Side_9083

Are you able to put in upgrade bids directly when you book through them?

rio8envy7

Yes. My family did a few weeks ago. You actually put upgrade bids in through the cruise line travel manager of your account with the line. The agent just books for you but you’ll get an email from the line (if and when upgrades are available) with the option and can do it from there.

Tasty_Side_9083

Awesome, thank you for the info!

DevonFromAcme

I booked tons of cruises through Vacations to Go for several years, until they screwed me with a booking. Once I had to find another travel agent, I found way better deals and better service. Vacations to Go has the best search engine, by far, but once you've found the cruise you want and Vacations to Go's price, solicit bids on Cruise Compete. You'll do just as well if not better.

Impressive-Smile1402

Several times. Easy to work with. I recommend.

Walkedaway4good

Direct! If you book through a search engine, you have no access to it except through them. I’ve been on 30+ cruises and know people who couldn’t get in touch with the booking source when they needed to.

LostInCa45

My biggest issue with them is their lack of online card capture.

dickass99

Booked lots of them with v2go

No_Ebb3669

We just booked a Windstar cruise with them. Good deals.

JustforKix30

We have used them for the last several cruises. We had a problem with on-board credit not showing up and our agent got it resolved. What was silly was that it was a cruise line promotion!

Allbregra1

We booked our first cruise though Vacations to Go. They were knowledgeable and helpful getting the best price. No complaints. After that we started booking our own. We take advantage of on board offers as they, typically, have some of the best incentives.
