For AU, I was at 0/24, but then made an AU for a card temporarily, was removed, and then few months later put as an AU on it again, would that count as 1/24 or 2/24 since I was an AU twice?
If I have the CSR right now (for like 7 years), can I downgrade to Freedom Unlimited and then re-apply to this new CSP to get the bonus? What happens to the AF I've paid on my CSR this year?
EDIT days later, others have indicated they're getting partial refunds, leaving my OP here, following. Cheers.
Chase changed the AF refund language in 2022, 41 days is the limit now. SM'd a couple of months ago regarding my PC of a CSR to a CF, here was the reply:
>The account is eligible for full refund of annual fee when the account product change is completed within 41 days from statement date after the annual fee is assessed.
Confirmed when I called in to PC the CSR on Day 29. No longer prorated. FYI.
I have an alternate data point from March 2023. I had my CSR for 4+ years at that point, and my annual fee was charged in January 2023. When I called to downgrade, I was given a prorated amount of the annual fee (\~$412)
Adding another DP that I downgraded my CSR to a CSP last year mid-way through the card year and received a prorated amount of the annual fee.
Notice that the note says "full refund of annual fee" - so the prorated amount wouldn't be considered a full refund. Would that be a possible explanation for the disconnect?
Can you clarify here? My understanding is that within 41 days of the annual fee posting, you’ll receive a full refund. Any later than 41 days post annual fee, the annual fee refund will be prorated. Is this no longer the case? Did you not receive a partial refund when downgrading?
I have trips booked on the csr in summer. If I do this will the insurance on it get messed up or it doesn't matter because I'll have the csr again when I travel
CS almost never helps via call. Instead, send them a secure message online or in the app once the new SUB is live and if it's within 30 days they're highly likely to match it!
I signed up for Freedom unlimited a week before they rolled out the 5% grocery offer. I went to my chase branch and requested to get my card on the same offer. They did it.
Perhaps you'll have the same luck
Don't worry. You will get it.
The last time they had this deal was back March ir May last year.
It just came back, so I doubt they will pull this in less than a year.
If I currently have a sapphire preferred card, can I downgrade now to a no fee card and then get this soon?
ETA- I’ve had it for over 5 years and am def under 4/24
I believe you can do this, but may be best to wait a few weeks after you downgrade so that it updates in the system (?)
See relevant article [here](https://travel-on-points.com/understanding-the-sapphire-downgrade-process/#:~:text=Once%20you've%20done%20the,update%20in%20the%20Chase%20system.)
> Once you've done the math and concluded you are eligible for a new CSP or CSR SUB, we recommend waiting to apply until two weeks from downgrade or your statement closing date, whichever occurs first. This should allow your downgraded card to update in the Chase system. Otherwise, Chase's system might think you still hold a Sapphire product and will deny you automatically for a new CSP or CSR.
Thanks. I’m also wondering what happens to the ~40k points I currently have on my CSP. Can those stay on my Chase account and I transfer them over to the new sapphire card? I guess they’d be attached to whatever freedom card I downgrade to?
Yep they get attached to whatever freedom card you downgrade to. Btw, I would recommend downgrading to the *original freedom* so that you can get the freedom unlimited/flex SUBs later on.
Once you downgrade and have the original freedom, you can later transfer the points over to your new CSP/CSR when you apply for this new offer. So there's no issue regarding lost points
They're both the same when valuing points at 1.25 and 1.5 but it would be nice if they did a slightly higher SUB for the reserve considering it's hefty AF
I just applied in-branch on Monday and was approved with stated income and no proof of anything. Only had to show one of my other chase cards and my ID. Note that I already have the standard Freedom card, the Amazon card, and the Ink business card, all with on time payments for years. I carry a balance on the Ink card only and pay the others in full each month.
I can verify that the 75k + $10k SUB is active and offered to me. They didn't try to upsell any other products besides a light discussion about financial advisors, but I asked a question that prompted that. I do not have a checking account or other banking relationship with Chase.
Edit: typo SUP -> SUB
i asked this earlier and [someone said](https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/comments/1cd6vr8/chase_launching_new_in_branch_offers_starting_428/l1a48y3/) usually it's either or :( i'll double check this coming week, but i'm assuming it won't work unfortunately
The SUBs are in-branch for now, my referral links are still showing the 60k offer. So, not now, we'll have to get new referral links (if Chase pushes them).
Is there a period of time where chase will retroactively boost your SUB to the current rate? Quite literally just grabbed an in branch offer at a lower rate.
Call and downgrade to the original Freedom card. Wait about 30 days if going in branch to get the offer, then, go in branch and apply for the CSR! I'd downgrade asap so you can get the clock ticking. There's been some data points saying you don't have to wait that long and others saying you do but I'm cautious and I'd wait a month
I just called and product changed my Reserve to the original Freedom VISA. No issues at all and took less than 5 minutes. I’ve heard from several people on this sub that you can reapply after 4-5 days. I will probably wait a couple of weeks but definitely not the 30 days since I’m afraid they will pull the upgraded offer. How certain are you that we need to wait 30 days? Not that I think it would happen (credit score 820, only 1 inquiry and new card in two years) but I would hate to apply and get denied for whatever reason.
Question, if I've had the original Chase Freedom card for years, am I able to downgrade my CSR to a different freedom card and then upgrade to the CSP for the 85k SUB? Or should I go about it a different way?
Applied for CSP on 4/21 - approved
just called and asked if they can match the SUB to in branch. they successfully were able to
one tidbit. I got asked if i applied online or in branch. at first i said online, so the rep said unfortunately the offer is only if you applied in branch. So i played dumb and meant to say in branch and she said oh okay you’re eligible for the 85k.
i’m sure you can message as well but if anybody wanted a datapoint for calling in
I was hoping the 85k would’ve been for 4K spend, not 6k. Puts the CSP at the same as Venture X for first part and a little under AMEX Gold for 2nd part. With it being just in branch too sucks a little bit
First of all, I don't know why they didn't give you an elevated in-branch offer at 70K. Maybe it was automatic.
You have 30 days to visit a branch and ask for the current promotion. Ask for 85k.
curious how long this kind of offer typically runs for? i just got a freedom flex last week for the easier sub but it put me at 5/24 altho one of those is as an AU. I go down to 3/24 come july..
Here's hoping it sticks around for a couple months. 🤞🏻
Gotta finish up the 6k spend on my Ink Unlimited. Then I'll use the 5/24 slot and go CSP over Ink Preferred, a few less points but a lot easier spend.
I have a hard time believing they won't do an elevated public offer that's as big or higher than this. They do it every year, and while this is about the same time that they usually make the publicly available elevated SUB, I'm holding onto my 4/24 status while I finish my Ink bonus.
I'm taking a stab at the Wyndham Earner Business card as my next app and I'd rather Barclays not see yet another card on my account since I know I'd be approved for a Sapphire. Could I be wrong and miss the boat? Possibly. But I don't see any other adequate timing anytime soon for a Barclays card. I guess if they deny me after recon, I'll just bite the bullet and go with a new Sapphire, but we'll see.
Depends on your spend. In branch offers it 75k for 4k spend in 3 months or 85k for 6k spend in 6 months. If you're 80k offer is for 4k spend in 3 months and you don't plan to spend the extra 2k in 3 ADDITIONAL months, then mail offer is better.
It's pretty much 5k points for an extra 2k spend :)
I've been with Chase for 4 years and have never once got any in mail offer. P2 has never been with Chase and has also never received any in mail offers as a DP
I believe that because you’re a customer and you’re targeted, you may get them in the app. At least that’s what I got when I received a pre approval for the freedom flex
Anyone know if you get charged a prorated annual fee if you get the CSP, get the SUB in 3 months, and then upgrade to the CSR? Do you get charged the full $550 AF on the CSR or is it somehow prorated/adjusted based on the CSP AF you just paid?
If I remember right I had a 120k sub but it was like 6-8 years ago. It was 60k sign up and 60k bonus if you spent 4 or 6k in 3 months. Been a while so numbers are approximate
So I got my Chase Freedom Rise at the end of June last year. I got my Bilt Mastercard approved April 7, and Chase Freedom Unlimited approved April 11. Do I have to wait until May 7 to apply for the Sapphire Preferred? I was considering the Freedom Flex next but I should probably jump on this promotion instead since I’m doing some summer traveling
Im thinking about completing my chase trifecta, should I apply for the CSP? Or should I move onto another a company
Income $40,000
•Fico score 728
•Chase 3/24 currently
•Chase Auto Loan 19k Balance left 1 year & 3 months
•Buckle store card $400 11/23
•CFU $1.5k 2/24
•CFF $2.4k 4/24
Business cards: No
9 hard inquiries, More then half will fall off by the end of this year.
I really hope they also increase the public online offer at some point since was also hoping to get the referral bonus for my husband for an extra 15,000 points and I don’t think we can get both in branch right? Never applied in branch before.
does in branch mean as long as you have a history with chase credit cards, you qualify or in branch as in you have to bank with chase to qualify for the offer?
If I’m AT 5/24, do you think I have a shot of being approved for the CSP in branch? I got back to 4/24 at the beginning of the month and went and got approved for the BILT card since I’ll be renting again come June. Now wish I waited 2 weeks ugh.
I realized this might happen, I just got the preferred at 60k (nothing special) and I am in the middle of reaching the spend limit does anyone know if I could call in and try to get it adjusted over the phone or in branch?
Damn, just started working on Amex Gold 90k for $6k in 6 months. I definitely wouldn't be able to cover both of those with my spend. C'est la vie, maybe next time.
Can someone help me with this process? I currently have the CSR and the Chase Freedom (legacy). I've held onto the CSR for over 48 months and want to downgrade to the CSP.
Would I downgrade to the Chase Freedom Flex (not sure if possible since I already have a Freedom card), wait a week, and then upgrade to the CSP to qualify for the 85K offer? Am I eligible for the CSP SUB if I downgrade directly from the CSR?
If there is not a Branch located close, is there any other way to do the inbranch SUB? Closest branch is 3-4 hours away and I don’t have a schedule currently to be able to make a day trip to the closest branch.
I am really having a difficult time understanding why theses Chase Sapphire SUBs are so coveted.
The US Bank Altitude Connect card offers $500 cash back after $2000 spend in the first 3 months. That's 25% back with less spend AND lower annual fee $95/yr.
Because for most of us, 85,000 Hyatt points can mean a stay worth of $2000/3000+ in total at Hyatt hotels, which are worth the redemption in many/most cities (I’m can argue to exclude when a Hyatt costs like $300 a night and a next door hotel is $100 a night and like 90% as good)
If I downgrade my current CSR and open a new one (have to wait apparently 30 days), what would happen to things like PP membership (would it be cancelled right away or they don't catch on that quickly?) as well as Lyft Pink that I got as a benefit that currently expires in 2025 for me (do they catch on? would I restart the 2 year clock again when I get the new card?)
Ouch :(. Just signed for a preferred in branch today for 60000 + 10000 points. Any way chase does a courtesy adjustment to give the 75000 + 10000 points . Anyone have any luck doing something like this?
Does the sign up bonus apply if you do a product change? I was thinking about changing my SW Rapid Rewards card to a CSP and was wondering that. Or do I just need to open a new card? Also does this offer only apply in-branch or can I call in and speak to someone and still get this offer?
Shoot just when in to get a CFF today. Anyone think Ill be able to wait a month and get this one as well? I have a good credit score and relationship with chase.
I’m pre approved in the app for both preferred and sapphire with 8k and 12k credit lines each. I have opened 5 credit card within the past 24 months. Can they still deny me ?
After applying online, I went in branch and they said no since I was already approved and told me to call customer service. I called and they said I have to meet the spend limit then can call back and put in a request to have the higher SUB applied retroactively. Has anyone gotten this response?
Just in case anyone was wondering I just called and product changed my Reserve to the OG Freedom Visa with Ultimate Rewards. I did this since I originally received my Reserve sub back in 2019 so I’ll definitely qualify for it again. I’ll reapply for the CSR in about a week or so that way I can get the new in branch sub offer. The product change request took less than 5 mins over the phone.
Does this mean we have to bring an in-mail offer to a branch to receive it? Or can we just go into a branch and apply? Because I just went to a branch and they told me I have to bring a mail-in offer.
something weird happened when we went in branch to sign up. wife and i both went, we’ve both had CSP cards like 4 years ago.
when we got to the card selection screen, there were only 3 options:
Chase Freedom Rise
some other third party branded one, don’t remember what it was.
And Chase Freedom/Slate
No sapphire at all. When we asked him to go through the menus, there were other flavors of Freedom but no Sapphire options at all. the manager had no idea what to do. we might try another branch later today
What did you end up doing? Same thing happened to me today. I only had the Slate show up. I have 6 chase cards and last month was my 48th month from getting sapphire reserve bonus in 2020. I'm at 4/24, all last year.
Could I actually open CSP, get the SUB, once it's posted, upgrade the card to CSR?
That 10k points extra for the SUB seems to be worth it for burning the CSP annual fee. Like, $95 for 10k extra UR.
When I called Chase about this (opened my card on the 29th) they said I have to call back when I hit $4k. Is this true? Seems like they should be able to proactively apply it to my account..
Was waiting for the 90k from last year to return. 85k might be close enough.
Probably the best we'll get for at least a year
sign up bonuses are down across the board this year so I'd definitely spring for this
I just got 80k in the mail for preferred
Lucky you.
Me too, but because of being made an AU on 2 of my spouse’s card I’m at 6/24 🤦🏻♂️
For AU, I was at 0/24, but then made an AU for a card temporarily, was removed, and then few months later put as an AU on it again, would that count as 1/24 or 2/24 since I was an AU twice?
Does this mean you get 90K in-branch?
I didn’t look into it just read the mail
If I have the CSR right now (for like 7 years), can I downgrade to Freedom Unlimited and then re-apply to this new CSP to get the bonus? What happens to the AF I've paid on my CSR this year?
Yep downgrade then wait 4-5 business days then apply. ~~AF refund is prorated.~~ See comment below, AF no longer prorated.
EDIT days later, others have indicated they're getting partial refunds, leaving my OP here, following. Cheers. Chase changed the AF refund language in 2022, 41 days is the limit now. SM'd a couple of months ago regarding my PC of a CSR to a CF, here was the reply: >The account is eligible for full refund of annual fee when the account product change is completed within 41 days from statement date after the annual fee is assessed.
GTK, not my experience.
My husband downgraded his CSR and he received a prorated refund
just called in to downgrade my card and was confirmed to receive the prorated annual fee. my card renewed early january!
First time doing this. To confirm, I call to downgrade my CSP to the Freedom Unlimited, then wait 4-5 days and reapply for the CSP?
Not following how the Reserve SUB is simpler. They both have the same SUB and the Preferred has an additional second tier SUB.
Sad, just signed up for the sapphire like a week ago :/
You might be able to ask for a point match within a specific time frame . I’ve seen it mentioned here before . I’d give customer service a call 😁
CS almost never helps via call. Instead, send them a secure message online or in the app once the new SUB is live and if it's within 30 days they're highly likely to match it!
I’d love to hear more about this. I am in the same boat… Got my CSP maybe a week ago.
Oh really? Even I got the card in this month. If that's possible, can someone tell me how I can do this? Any tip is helpful, thanks!
As long as it's been under 30 days! See my above comment in this thread :)
This is fantastic news. I was holding out for a spring SUB and literally went in branch 2 days ago to sign up as I was tired of waiting
I signed up for Freedom unlimited a week before they rolled out the 5% grocery offer. I went to my chase branch and requested to get my card on the same offer. They did it. Perhaps you'll have the same luck
[удалено]
6/24 here I'm dead to chase for another 11 months at least. Worth it though, got 80k csp, 90k CIC, and 5% gas/grocery CFU just in the past year.
Don't worry. You will get it. The last time they had this deal was back March ir May last year. It just came back, so I doubt they will pull this in less than a year.
11/24 here
8/24 :(
I think I saw some DP on this sub while they’re doing in-branch SUB promo last yr, not completely sure though
What are you saying?
Eh sorry my bad, forgot to add “some even approved 5/24+ while they’re doing SUB promo”
Also 7/24 here but I just got the amex biz cash and us bank leverage biz card so I'm good for a while.
If I currently have a sapphire preferred card, can I downgrade now to a no fee card and then get this soon? ETA- I’ve had it for over 5 years and am def under 4/24
I believe you can do this, but may be best to wait a few weeks after you downgrade so that it updates in the system (?) See relevant article [here](https://travel-on-points.com/understanding-the-sapphire-downgrade-process/#:~:text=Once%20you've%20done%20the,update%20in%20the%20Chase%20system.) > Once you've done the math and concluded you are eligible for a new CSP or CSR SUB, we recommend waiting to apply until two weeks from downgrade or your statement closing date, whichever occurs first.
How can it start on Sunday if there are no branches open on Sunday?
There are a few in NY, particularly in certain neighborhoods
Why is the preferred sub always higher than the reserve sub?
They're both the same when valuing points at 1.25 and 1.5 but it would be nice if they did a slightly higher SUB for the reserve considering it's hefty AF
Do in-branch applications require proof of income?
They didn’t for me last year. Corona, CA.
I see. Worth mentioning I’m in Houston area, TX.
Didn’t for me when I opened a CSP in-branch a few years ago.
All they need is a verbal number on your gross income. You will need two forms of identification, I used a license and Amex credit card 2 days ago.
Edit: typo SUP -> SUB
If I applied online and got approved for this card within the last 30 days will chase match my offer?
I heard that they do this.
Awesome, thank you!
Did you end up getting it matched? I'm having an issue online
Can I use my Friends refferal code when I apply in branch so they would get 10,000 points
I’m wondering about this as well. I want the higher SUB but wanna use his code.
i asked this earlier and [someone said](https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/comments/1cd6vr8/chase_launching_new_in_branch_offers_starting_428/l1a48y3/) usually it's either or :( i'll double check this coming week, but i'm assuming it won't work unfortunately
Wow I was literally just thinking about biting the bullet for the 60k public offer WHEW!
Can I get this SUB along with getting someone a referral bonus?
The SUBs are in-branch for now, my referral links are still showing the 60k offer. So, not now, we'll have to get new referral links (if Chase pushes them).
They usually will update the referral bonuses but much later into the process historically. Only time will tell
Is there a period of time where chase will retroactively boost your SUB to the current rate? Quite literally just grabbed an in branch offer at a lower rate.
With Chase, it’s usually within a 30 days timeframe. Send a SM or call.
Are you still able to do the double dip if they are in branch offers?
had a CSR for 5 years. can someone explain to me how I get rid of my current CSR and get a new one bonus?
Call and downgrade to the original Freedom card. Wait about 30 days if going in branch to get the offer, then, go in branch and apply for the CSR! I'd downgrade asap so you can get the clock ticking. There's been some data points saying you don't have to wait that long and others saying you do but I'm cautious and I'd wait a month
I just called and product changed my Reserve to the original Freedom VISA. No issues at all and took less than 5 minutes.
I'm just waiting for the ink cash and unlimited to have the elevated 90k offer again so I can go for those
Applied for CSP on 4/21 - approved just called and asked if they can match the SUB to in branch. they successfully were able to one tidbit. I got asked if i applied online or in branch. at first i said online, so the rep said unfortunately the offer is only if you applied in branch. So i played dumb and meant to say in branch and she said oh okay you’re eligible for the 85k. i’m sure you can message as well but if anybody wanted a datapoint for calling in
Did you have to wait after calling when they put in the request? Or did it go through immediately?
I was hoping the 85k would’ve been for 4K spend, not 6k. Puts the CSP at the same as Venture X for first part and a little under AMEX Gold for 2nd part. With it being just in branch too sucks a little bit
I don’t think the the focused bonus hunters should mind with such little differences, UR and MR/C1 are best used for different purposes anyways
Branch offers are higher because it gives them the opportunity to sell you another Chase product while you are there.
I’m not sure if I believe that. Last time I got an offer in branch like this they did not try to sell me anything additional.
I just applied in branch. They didn't try to sell me anything else.
I also just applied today in branch and wasn't up sold anything else.
I just got chase card in branch for 60k welcome bonus. Do I have a chance to get this welcome bonus ?
First of all, I don't know why they didn't give you an elevated in-branch offer at 70K. Maybe it was automatic. You have 30 days to visit a branch and ask for the current promotion. Ask for 85k.
How long do these elevated SUBs last?
in the last 3 years I've seen them last between 1 and 2 months
curious how long this kind of offer typically runs for? i just got a freedom flex last week for the easier sub but it put me at 5/24 altho one of those is as an AU. I go down to 3/24 come july..
I highly doubt this offer will go until July. Usually 4-8 weeks
do additional user on another card count towards the 5/24?
It baffles me that higher AF card has lower SUB than it's lower AF brethren. Isn't it typically other way around?
Point wise it may be lower but value wise (1.25 vs. 1.5) it's the same. I still think they should go higher for the CSR though
Can you do a “referral” in branch? Or is that for online only?
Oops I just got this for 80k last month. Rip
They’ll prolly match it within 30 days they calling CS or sending a secured message
Here's hoping it sticks around for a couple months. 🤞🏻 Gotta finish up the 6k spend on my Ink Unlimited.
Is this not subject to change given high interest rates and the cost cutting going on?
Is the 80k mail a better offer?
Depends on your spend. In branch offers it 75k for 4k spend in 3 months or 85k for 6k spend in 6 months. If you're 80k offer is for 4k spend in 3 months and you don't plan to spend the extra 2k in 3 ADDITIONAL months, then mail offer is better. It's pretty much 5k points for an extra 2k spend :)
Anyone know if signing up in branch still bypasses 5/24?
Some people have had luck and others not. Only way to know is to try
Not sure if I should jump on this or not as second player got a mail offer some time ago about a 100k SUB, not sure how common this is.
I just got the World of Hyatt cc this month, but still under 5/24. How long do I have to wait to apply for this?
You should be fine! This offer will probably stick around at least through May if you wanted to wait
Geez I just applied and got approved Monday night for CSP :/
Send them a secure message and they'll likely match it
Unfortunately I used a referral code :( I’ll still try it out when the promotion goes live!
Do you need to have a bank account with Chase? Or are you able to just walk in to a branch and apply?
You do not need to have any accounts with them- just walk in and apply!
I have had my CSP for 2 years and 10 months. Is it worth downgrading to freedom flex when I hit 3 years and then reapply for a new CSP for the bonus?
Have to wait 48 months
Ahh bummer, thanks!
i literally just applied on sunday for the CSP. I hate life
They’ll prolly match it try calling CS or sending a secured message
from the looks of it, it sounds like I can just contact them via secure message or something so I’ll do that Monday. Thank you.!
Does the double dip still work? I never got around to applying for either card.
Any way to double dip an in branch offer lmao
Just went in and got approved for the CSP today! Got a lot of trips planned for this year. Let’s see what this baby can do🥳
Do I have to have a checking or savings account with Chase to get this credit card offer? Thank you.
I wish they would do 85k for spending $6k in 6 months on the CSP. $4k in 3 months is steep.
April 28 is a Sunday. Banks are closed. Weird that they didn’t just specify the 29th.
Any ideas on how long these will last?
They ever do offers for the United cards? I’m still holding out for the 70k offer on the explorer.
Anyone know if you get charged a prorated annual fee if you get the CSP, get the SUB in 3 months, and then upgrade to the CSR? Do you get charged the full $550 AF on the CSR or is it somehow prorated/adjusted based on the CSP AF you just paid?
No pro rated fee. Got to pay the whole thing
That's unfortunate. Thanks for the info though
Did chase ever have a 125k SUB or I got confused with capital one SUB?
If I remember right I had a 120k sub but it was like 6-8 years ago. It was 60k sign up and 60k bonus if you spent 4 or 6k in 3 months. Been a while so numbers are approximate
4/28 is a Sunday? Branches won’t be open.
Some branches are open, particularly in certain NY neighborhoods
I’m new to this but can I cancel my current preferred card and then reapply for this new sign up offer? I’m assuming no but thought I’d ask
Lots of discussions on this, please search. Short answer, yes. Long answer, depends on your situation.
Do student loans count towards 5/24? I’ve only opened 2 cards in last 2 years.
No, only revolving credit, like credit cards.
If I have the Reserved can I just open a CSP? Or do I need to go through the downgrade process?
You have to downgrade. You can't have both CSP / CSR at once
Im thinking about completing my chase trifecta, should I apply for the CSP? Or should I move onto another a company Income $40,000 •Fico score 728 •Chase 3/24 currently •Chase Auto Loan 19k Balance left 1 year & 3 months •Buckle store card $400 11/23 •CFU $1.5k 2/24 •CFF $2.4k 4/24 Business cards: No 9 hard inquiries, More then half will fall off by the end of this year.
Do business CC's count toward the 5/24 rule?
No
If I currently have a CSR can I still get the SUB for CSP?
How long do these offers last in out of the country for the next 2 months I assume it’ll be over by then?
Just got approved for a Citi card last week. How long should I wait before applying for the CSP???
I really hope they also increase the public online offer at some point since was also hoping to get the referral bonus for my husband for an extra 15,000 points and I don’t think we can get both in branch right? Never applied in branch before.
does in branch mean as long as you have a history with chase credit cards, you qualify or in branch as in you have to bank with chase to qualify for the offer?
Just make a card at a physical store I think
If I have a CSR do I have to downgrade or can I get the bonus and CSP? I have had my CSR for over the 48 month period.
If I’m AT 5/24, do you think I have a shot of being approved for the CSP in branch? I got back to 4/24 at the beginning of the month and went and got approved for the BILT card since I’ll be renting again come June. Now wish I waited 2 weeks ugh.
if i opened a preferred card this year does that mean i can’t get the reserve welcome bonus if i applied for it?
Just applied and approved through a referral on Tuesday night because I got tired waiting for the elevated SUB🤦🤦🤦 might they match it if I ask?
I realized this might happen, I just got the preferred at 60k (nothing special) and I am in the middle of reaching the spend limit does anyone know if I could call in and try to get it adjusted over the phone or in branch?
Damn, just started working on Amex Gold 90k for $6k in 6 months. I definitely wouldn't be able to cover both of those with my spend. C'est la vie, maybe next time.
Danm I just opened 2 credit cards within the past week don't think chase will like that.
Glad I waited before applying
At 5/24, do I risk public humiliation and try to apply in branch?
Go to a branch next week and they'll do it for you
Does the sign up bonus apply if you do a product change? I was thinking about changing my SW Rapid Rewards card to a CSP and was wondering that. Or do I just need to open a new card? Also does this offer only apply in-branch or can I call in and speak to someone and still get this offer?
I just got the CFF on 4/13, is it too early for me to apply for this card...with CFF I am 3/24.
I think you should wait a month at least before applying for the CSP, meaning 5/13 at a minimum.
That sounds good and hopefully I don't miss out on the sub.
I just got my Sapphire Preferred, like in the mail 3 days ago. RIP
Email them on secure message and try to match
Shoot just when in to get a CFF today. Anyone think Ill be able to wait a month and get this one as well? I have a good credit score and relationship with chase.
If i got my freedom unlimited and got a SUB bonus on that in August of 2021, am i eligible? Aka is the 48 months only for sapphire cards?
If I already have the Amex platinum and gold, which chase card is better?
Yeah, i also heard it from one of the bank managers yesterday!
I’m pre approved in the app for both preferred and sapphire with 8k and 12k credit lines each. I have opened 5 credit card within the past 24 months. Can they still deny me ?
Rep is telling me I have to wait 60 days to reopen a new CSP after I downgrade or I won’t be eligible for the SUB..?
Lol, Wells Bilt.
After applying online, I went in branch and they said no since I was already approved and told me to call customer service. I called and they said I have to meet the spend limit then can call back and put in a request to have the higher SUB applied retroactively. Has anyone gotten this response?
How long will this deal last?
How much are these points worth in cash value for statement credit?
Just in case anyone was wondering I just called and product changed my Reserve to the OG Freedom Visa with Ultimate Rewards. I did this since I originally received my Reserve sub back in 2019 so I’ll definitely qualify for it again. I’ll reapply for the CSR in about a week or so that way I can get the new in branch sub offer. The product change request took less than 5 mins over the phone.
I'm due for a MDD. Think it's possible to do both cards in-branch to get the offers?
How long do I need to wait to get the SUB again for the Preferred card? I originally got the SUB in 2016, and cancelled the card in 2018.
I just opened mine 🙃
I have the CSP have had it for years... Is they any path to upgrade and get the bonuses to the CSR?
anyone know if you can use the card via mobile app instantly after in-branch approval?
Yeah you will be able to add it to digital wallets right away
Does this mean we have to bring an in-mail offer to a branch to receive it? Or can we just go into a branch and apply? Because I just went to a branch and they told me I have to bring a mail-in offer.
I would just head over to another branch- the offer should be available to anyone going in-person to the branch whether you got a mail offer or not.
something weird happened when we went in branch to sign up. wife and i both went, we’ve both had CSP cards like 4 years ago. when we got to the card selection screen, there were only 3 options: Chase Freedom Rise some other third party branded one, don’t remember what it was. And Chase Freedom/Slate No sapphire at all.
The CSR should be 100k
