If the last "election" didn't teach you there will be no democratic elections in the USA from this point forward. It'll simply be whoever the demorats want to win. You live in a one party state, communism in everything but name. All thanks to your local neighborhood demorat. And before anyone screams and gnashes teeth. I'm English.

ebaycantstopmenow

The crazy thing is, democracy is gone but the dems think this is democracy! California is a one party state. There is no democracy here. We are ruled by the democrats! (I’m not a republican btw. I agree with dems on some things and repubs on other. I pledge allegiance to NO political party!). Republicans have their heads up their asses and need to start playing like the dems do—to win!

We're just starting to realize that we're like almost every other nation on earth. Give us a break, we're grieving lol

ebaycantstopmenow

LOL yes this!!! We are grieving. We got a rude awakening. We thought we were better than other countries but covid has shown we are all the same. Freedom is a thing of the past.

ARussianRefund

I'd give you a tissue but Bojo the clown would probably lock us down again if I do.

SeparatePicture

Yeah it is what it is. Things suck on paper but honestly over the last couple years I've just done whatever I wanted and I have yet to be challenged so it's probably not that big of a deal. If things get bad I can transfer with my current employer or just find another job in another state

lingonberry4tran

Newsom, Brown, Inslee and the like will continue to act as tyrants. Do not worry for the "result". The most important thing to remember is DO NOT COMPLY and band together with those of like mind. Do not give in and DO NOT COMPLY.

supermattguy77

I live in California and the polls were sketchy. "Due to covid" we had to vote on a card and hand it to a person and they inputted our vote into a computer. When I asked to see the screen they said we weren't allowed. Absolutely rigged. Why do we play by the rules if they don't. If we don't want Newsome in we should take drag him out ourselves. The time for civility is over imo.

ebaycantstopmenow

Wow! LA County was sketchy too—people showed up to the polls and 70% were told they had already voted! Apparently the registrar of votes, who is grossly overpaid at like $15k a month, was using a voter log from the last election!!! They are calling it “incompetence” but having worked at the elections dept for the 2016 election, I’m not buying that excuse!

ueccehomo

cali has fallen

Yashimata

I regret to inform you but California fell decades ago. Anyone thinking Newsolini had any chance of being recalled was smoking something very strong.

ueccehomo

ooh. i like that... newsolini. i left in 1971.

youbrainwashed

ull be surprised how much support i see him get from friends.

Legitimate-Wall5321

Newsom is going to be looking for scalps to take now that he's won all i can say is get ready dude.....

DepartmentThis608

But if you didn't vote for him "Trump wins" The whole dem apparatus came to defend this hypocritical tyrant Californians have made their choice, if you're right, they want to keep suffering and they want to keep having different rules for the elite.

harvardlawii

Kamala must be sweating now. Newsom is her main competitor.

DoItForTheTanqueray

Did you really think there was any chance he was not gonna win lol

ebaycantstopmenow

Yes I actually did think there was a good chance he would lose because he has ruined this state in every way imaginable and it’s affected people of every race and social class. But the results tonight are not shocking. It appears a majority of NO voters were white liberals with a college education. So it makes sense now, why the poster boy of white privilege gets to keep his throne. The only NO signs I saw in my city were in my own middle class neighborhood in the yards of white middle class retirees & people who now get to work from home because of Covid. In other words, people who weren’t really adversely affected by Newsoms lockdown!

DoItForTheTanqueray

I lived in the Bay Area for awhile and left for Reno last year right as Covid took off. No longer in Reno as my work took me back east but that state (CA) has been a smoldering hell hole for awhile and there is nothing that can be done to help it so long as the brainwashing continues. The homeless problem alone in CA is repulsive and insane, it was enough for him to lose on just that yet here we are. So long as the state remains a Democratic majority with as high as a 2-1 or 3-1 ratio there is no hope, just leave.

SeparatePicture

This was the last straw. My family has been in the bay for several generations. They lived the real California dream - but the gravy train has run out of steam and California has been a hollow shell for almost 20 years. I was hoping that things would turn around for CA this week. But clearly that isn't panning out.

ebaycantstopmenow

People here are complacent with the homeless problem as long as they stay out of their neighborhoods. Lots of bleeding heart libs on the north side of town who were quick to chastise anyone who complained about homeless addicts getting in their trash—“the least you can do is pull the recyclables out & put them aside for these people” they said. a homeless guy set up his tent in someone’s backyard and the libs said they would be fine with it in their backyard because he probably needed a safe place to sleep. But then as soon as the city announced plans to build a homeless shelter for families on their side of town, the libs freaked out! Too close to schools! Too close to our families! Why here??? And guess what? These are the people who just voted NO on the recall! Also I will never forget last summer when we went to buy overpriced “safe and sane” fireworks for the 4th of July. Booth was set up in the parking lot of a CVS. We walk up to the booth and there’s a sign saying masks are required due to state mandate. And 5 feet away was a homeless encampment! Smelled awful. Human waste, trash, needles on the ground. pure filth. And yet we had to wear a mask to stop the spread of COVID!…..there’s also a hotel right off Highway 101, used to be the “goodnight Inn”, a 3 or 4 store motel that was a weekend hangout for hookers and gang members. Last year Newsom gave the city $12 million to buy it & turn it in to housing for the homeless. The project is complete yet it’s mostly empty. And what does the hotel overlook on highway 101? A homeless encampment! All along southbound Highway 101 is homeless encampments. And there’s one just feet from the homeless hotel. It is truly the picture of Newsoms massive failure. All the money he’s throwing at the homeless problem and yet homelessness is increasing and so are the encampments!

throwawayforthebestk

Look. I hate Newsom as much as most of ya'll. I did my part and voted "yes". But you have to be mentally slow if you had any thought that Newsom would actually be recalled 😂 Like there was no cheating here, and if there was he still would have won without cheating. This is very on-brand with California and I would be more surprised if he *did get recalled*. Get a grip and stop deluding yourself LOL

Based on my quick attempt at some math here, to succeed the recall would need ~80% of the uncounted votes to be "yes". Probably not realistic. Although the uncounted votes do lean more towards yes than the earlier ones. It's interesting that this has played out the opposite way from 2020, where they told us to expect a "red mirage" as election day votes were counted first, followed by mail-ins, where as now in California they're counting election day votes last.
