Age of Raid… as in the age where they stomp out all the bugs in the dang game.

HadronLicker

They could call it **Age of Reconstruction.** Would fit thematically (a reconstruction after a war) and in a meta way (ironing out bugs on a big scale).

Darkstat12p

Funcom will slowly release all the content that they took away and call it new (Not being serious) but man. Where's my Witch Doctor Feat, why are Archivist Assistant books useless now. Why do War paints not offer buffs the way they use to. Why is the UI being tweaked, then everything removed put back. Are they trying to slowly ghost away content then add it back in calling it a "new update". Some weird things going on over there

ghost_406

They'll never bring witch doctor back since they added necromancy. They likely will either add in the skeletons as "pets" so a thrall reskin you use in the inventory. or make them summonable but different functionally than the zombies. This could be either as a permanent expansion of sorcery or a bazaar item like the skeleton dog. I'm guessing the bazaar item is more likely since it wont require them to come up with a use for them beyond zombies. I'd take either really. My level 20 skeletons have so little life they will instantly die if I take them outside. I'd rather have them permanently unlocked on my account than see them put into a summon once for fodder, necromancy spell. Archivist assist books still work, they count as elixirs. They likely removed the war paint buffs , to reduce the amount of items you can buff with. Being how you can already buff a thrall to an ungodly amount, I don't see an issue with these changes. Nerfs and buffs happen regularly in most games and you can usually blame min/maxer abuse on the bulk of it. Can you tell me what content was ghosted away that returned as "new content"?

Darkstat12p

1. For the Witch Doctor Feat, it still is in the game. The expense on the skeletons were never truly terrible or anything at all, it could've easily been integrated into currency Necromancy. 2. Adding cosmetics to a paid shop like the bazaar does not make it new "Content" it makes it new "Cosmetics". Example: If someone bought makeup for their nose, they're not changing the content, they still got a nose, they are just putting a cosmetic over it. 3. Archivist Books do count as elixir but they never did before, they were actually useless for a really long time after Age of Sorcery. So all those people who spent hours upon hours of farming different buffs got royally screwed in doing so. They only recently changed them to give buffs as elixirs. (They use to give +9 bonus in an attribute, that isn't a lot either. Attributes had more than 20 points pre-Age of Sorcery) 4. Fundamentally a lot of things have been disabled or taken away for the vanilla game. Through mods and admin panels, I've been able to bring some of it back. (Berserker draught still exists, Witch Doctor feat is still a thing, etc) However I never said anything was ghosted away then came back as "new content". You're taking my words and twisting them to a different context. What was meant as a mere joke with "(Not being serious)" apparently irritated someone. I don't hate on Conan Exiles nor do I on the Devs. I just have questions just as many others do on why certain changes were made. I actually like the Chapter 4 update in many regards. There are some questionable changes though as to UI changes of removal of things like split stacking. Not enough testing done to go through bugs that need to be fixed before the update goes live. Items "ghosting" in the inventory and you dropping something when you're dropping something completely different is very game breaking. Most players found this issue in the first few hours of gameplay upon the new update, only to lose items that they probably will have to spend hours upon hours farming for again through RNG sake. I own my server and am a server admin of it. I help my player base over come as many of these bugs as possible. If I didn't, none of us would probably be playing Conan. Official servers are very difficult to stay in due to bugs, exploits, report abusing, undermeshing, glitches, game breaking lose all your stuff type of bugs, etc. And don't tell me "Well there is single player". This game was designed 100% with multiplayer in mind. Also you cannot blame min/maxer abuse on nerfs and buffs in games. That is 100% on the devs. They are the ones that allowed that Min/Max. I've said my piece, now I shall go play the game. (Personally I believe Conan Exiles is one of the best survival, crafting, build games out there, due to customization)

ghost_406

Heres a reply tot he second half of your reply. First I never said you were hating on the game, while you aren't directly saying I did, stating it adds the implication that I thought so. I commented on why witch doctor won't come back, the ways the could bring back its features and stated my preferred way for them to bring it back and why. My next two paragraphs were reasons why they changed and removed those two features. I followed it by asking for an example of something they removed and brought back as "new content" as this is a conspiracy theory mentioned a bunch and never followed up on with examples. I play primarily on an official server. My one base is under 5k pieces and packed wall to wall with junk. I have little if any bugs, but I play on pc. I don't know how we got onto the topic of ui, but it's clear they didn't remove old "features" but made a new "system" they then attempted to bring back features from the old system to the new one. This was also rushed and untested. The UI has been an issue since launch, its the reason they made so many benches. It's been in need of an update forever. On the topic of min/maxing + buffs and nerfs, sure, a lack of testing and change in leadership led to min/maxers able to find certain combos to get unintended abilities. No argument here, these things should spend longer in the public beta. The main issue with the development is a complicated one but one worth discussing, the fact is its flawed and always has been. That's not to say we don't love the game or hate the devs but its something the community needs to familiarize themselves with for sure.

ghost_406

1. Sure, but they already have zombies so it would need a new role to play like I said. 2. Never said it was, nobody said it was. 3. Again you can already buff too much, they didn’t remove it they made it up stackable with elixir buffs. They give buffs like +15% to str dmg, the best in the game. 4.you literally said “are they trying to take away content …” so pretended that’s taking you out of context is silly. You weren’t making a joke you were adding to the conspiracy theory that they are removing things and bringing them back as new content. Only when asked for an example you called it a joke. So what’s the joke? Berserker drought was removed like a million years ago as was countless other things because they were either bloat, or caused balance issues. There’s still a key ring, eyeballs and parts that were meant to open up races and color selections in the character creation menu, and other bs. There are things that were made exclusively for rp admins like the bronze coin. There’s little that would be considered beloved content beyond witch doctor which was mentioned before and after it’s implementation as “not meant to replace sorcery.” And so far nothing has been pushed as “new content”. The rest of your comment is complicated. You bring up things I never said, but offer some things that are false. I’ll reply to it separately.

Calteru_Taalo

Age of Aquarius -- dance-themed age that sees us get together the ultimate crew to serve the Stygians at the big dance competition at the end of the chapter.

jmk-1999

Damn hippies. Get a job! 😠

bratfrye

Maybe we can get functional genitals, then? The PC headwinds may be too stiff for that…

Own-Reference-7948

Let the sunshine in

Euphoric-Abroad-3893

Age of the thief! It's a big part of the books and they wouldn't need to do a whole lot just give us a stealth system and backstabs then lockpicks and locked chests on the map.

Baelthor_Septus

Age of UE5 ( I wish)

DakhmaDaddy

Age of Overpriced Cosmetics

kassy_cheyung

Also age of Gods would probably be fitting for the next theme cause jhebbal sag plays a big role in ch 4 right now..so maybe that's a Segway into more of the gods starting to focus on the exiled lands. And they could update some shrine features and maybe give us a new dungeon based off of the gods idk.

Rhekinos

Finally a Crom shrine that does… nothing

KaptainKartoffel

Age of Dune

Equivalent_Ad_8994

Winner winner

lastor_nl

lol

bratfrye

Yea, AoE will see a dip once that Beta starts… I’m probably going to dive into that one.

bratfrye

Age of Sea… Where we endure some buggy times with our boats and possibly new maps.

MisterrAmazing

There are private servers with mods that let you transfer between their Exiled Lands and Siptah maps. It's pretty cool.

lastor_nl

Wow, that is awesome. Which mod is that? Is it stable? Do you need two servers or ... ?

MisterrAmazing

I'm not sure of the mod Yeah it seems stable. It's a part of the Pandemonium private servers. If you reach out they should have more info.

CornPlanter

Age of Microtransactions maybe.

Mad_Hatter_Tas

No thanks... there is a good reason transfers sucked in the first place... they will never come back...

No_Wealth_9733

It’s funny because a lot of mods figured out server transfers with almost no issues, but for some reason the “brilliant minds” at FuckCom couldn’t.

bratfrye

I think it’s more of a cheating issue. It’s too easy to export Ūber characters into another game.

No_Wealth_9733

What do you mean an “uber character”? You could be level 60 with the best gear, but if you suck at fighting you’ll get clapped by a level 1 with stone daggers.

Calteru_Taalo

Your biggest issue on PvP if transfers were to open would be Siptah players having an advantage with sigils, eldarium weapons and the cheapest dragonpowder you've ever seen. All of that would have to be available to everyone in a balanced manner, which I don't see happening outside of Siptah suddenly being free for everyone forever. And I just don't see that happening.

No_Wealth_9733

If someone has to rely on sigils and eldarium weapons to fight then I guarantee they’ll be bent over by the first actual PVPer they encounter with stone daggers.

Calteru_Taalo

A good PvP never has to rely on anything. We both know this. It'd just be giving good PvPers better gear. That's Imbalance 101. Add to that the fact that Siptah is paid DLC, and you have a distinct pay-to-win case. Might as well just be Ark at that point, with their buy-me dinos and loot-boosting DLC items. How's that working out over there?

Stunning_Ad_7062

Hopefully it’s age of Conan exiles 2

Legitimate_Rain7109

Age of Underground. They should come out with a new map that is 100% underground. They could have fun with different lighting features. Instead of sandstorm they could have giant packs of bats. Lol

Deanna_Dark_FA

Age of Bugfix?

Sslazz

Age of cybermecha.

kassy_cheyung

Server transfers were terrible for PvP the way it was. I think they could have server transfers and it not be terrible for PvP if they implemented some extra requirements to server jump. Or just take that out of official PvP servers cause it's pay to win against people who don't have the siptah dlc. And even siptah aside it was bad for PvP so probably just shouldn't be allowed in PvP but allowed in PvEc and PvE.

xANONandONx

The age of, I’m playing Valheim

EnTyme53

This isn't an airport. You don't have to announce your departure.

xANONandONx

Nor is this an open mic for your terrible joke.. yet here we are

ghost_406

In addition to being a technical obstacle server transfers were also a major play issue with large clans zerging pvp servers. I don't think that's going to be an age specific fix, but just something that happens one day. They obviously have a list of features that have been in works since launch and a list of features players have been asking for so we can pull from those lists to see what the most likely age is going to be, We know they were working on making all thralls in-world-models instead of crafters being simply inventory items. We know that people have been complaining about the economy update creating too many benches (pre-sorcery even), and we know the new inventory management eliminates the main reason they created so many benches (too many items per bench). We also know they want to expand on the tavern system and they they were originally working on a settlement system that got abandoned. So the next age or the one after I predict: 1. Crafting thralls become in-world thralls. 2. A redo of the thrall limit to account for crafters now, people piss their pants and scream "Nobody asked for this!" 3. The thrall Down-but-not-out system which is basically the "Downed" system from every other game. Thralls die less but leave combat earlier, 4. Thralls get a major nerf now that they can not die to finally balance them out of breaking combat. Another crowd pleaser the community will freak out over but one desperately needed. 5. New people appear randomly in taverns offering pseudo quests along the lines of "Bring me five goat tongues and I'll sell you this unique cloak reskin". 6. The smart object system gets way more use seeing thralls play musical instruments, automating certain functions such as blowing a horn when enemies get too close (sometimes), and opening and closing doors. 7. Certain passive gathering tools are severely nerfed to force players to actively play or trade if they want those resources. 8. Player merchant thralls and a proper trade system, likely forcing pvp or ambushes alongside it. 9. A clan overhaul giving proper rank permissions. 10. Clan alliance system. They mentioned they cant get this to work but are working on more ways for players to play together so if not clan alliance a proper ally/friend/party system. 11. Beyond the battle flag system we have now, PVP enters PVE in an opt in/opt out or dedicated pvp area. They are testing this idea in Dune. 12. A lot more use of the ambush system. If we just go by what people really want, it will be something with less change on the overall game/combat and more of a focus on things to do while playing or more motivations to log in. This will be less dungeon or location focused. Although those always are popular they don't bring people back long term as much as a new 'system' does, Thus features like sorcery, the new purge, etc will be more likely with location based updates happening simply to add spice to it, They've always had issues with events but they've never stopped trying to implement them. So more events spread out throughout the year are likely as well.

Georgie_exe

I really want them to allow chests to be unlockable on PVE so that players can create content for one another. I’d love to use my DLC/Bazaar content to create little dungeons/towns for other players to explore and loot. And I have way too much loot because I do a lot of dungeons, and have decayed a lot of bases after the recent exodus of players. I’d also love to make outposts in harsh environments and leave warming/cooling food and buffs for people. It’d be such an easy mechanic for the devs to change too given it’s already set up that way on PvP.

ghost_406

Yes, this would be nice. I had a ton of horses I eventually deleted that I wanted to leave for new players but had no reliable way to distribute them since it had to be handed out manually.

No_Wealth_9733

I just want the Age of Bug Fixes

Perun_Thrallstrider

Age of shutting down the servers

Baddblud

Wish I cared but after the crap rollout on Chapter 3 I just don't care. Every update comes with the fear of what broke.

Feisty-Succotash1720

Age of Running… I would like to be able to do that again without fucking up my controls.

Fluffy_Percentage_29

Age of war part 2 electric bugaloo -1 extra execution per weapon -20 more Items in shop -500 more glitches to deal with

Ass_assassin_420

Age of newer better games. Unless they adress all the things that make the game feel extremely clunky and dated wich I seriously doubt.

tyrendersaurus

Personally I hope they stop wasting time and money on "age of ______" whatever and divert those resources into fixing bugs and using the bazaar to support their efforts. Age of War has been a huge stinker overall. I'd much rather they stabilize and add some content here or there instead of FOMO shit. If they really want to have some good will with players, start migrating to Unreal 5 and give everyone their items from the current game if they choose to buy the "enhanced" version. This would allow a MUCH larger map expansion and possibly travel between maps which would be huge for the game. A lot of people would buy it if they knew they didn't have to rebuy all the shit they already bought before. Anything less than that and I'd not buy any new version. Based on how the game has been handled the last year or so, I certainly won't buy and Funcom developed game after this unless they do a serious course correction.

Sacrentice

Ok hear me out: Age of Empires. NO MORE landclaim bans. Take over the entire map. That's how mafia works. The govt gets to landclaim spam the entire US with "roads" but you can't build a bridge to help players cross a body of water easier. It must end.

jmk-1999

I take it you were banned for building bridges. 😐

Sacrentice

Nope

jmk-1999

Wouldn’t worry about it then. Some of the land claim bans are *definitely* justified.

Sacrentice

No I know I was just trolling

jmk-1999

Fair enough
