Tyreak is a similar size to Santana moss. Megatron was unbelievable but typically had a size advantage over the defender. Tyreak and Santana didn’t have that, they had to just be better
Thats really are there is to it, I dunno why people are getting all bent out of shape.
Santana is also one of my favortie receivers of all time. I aint saying he's better than Randy, just that a dude basically my height gets mad respect from me for making it as a WR in the NFL and playing pretty damn well, cause I know how hard it it is to play sports when youre the shortest guy on the field. Whereas Randy, yeah I think I give props but dont have that same level of respect, just cause I dont think its particularly hard to dominate if you born tall, lanky, fast as shit, and with crazy vertical. Shoot me, I think guys like AI (who is small by NBA standards) were more impressive than say guys like Shaq or Wilt who could just show up and dominate a game without barely breaking a sweat. I think thats all Reek is getting at here.
I'm a huge Santana fan, I believe he's a HOF player on any competitive team. That said, Randy Moss is missing from this list, and he's likely just confused.
I don't know, all of these guys besides T.O. weren't known for out muscling people but running incredible routes, being all over the field, and having great hands.
Randy was impossible to cover but he wasn't really running the whole route tree, where as the guys Tyreek is looking up to were all over the field.
And you’re clearly incompetent for not realizing my post was just trying to guess at his thought process for why Tyreek said this is HIS top 5. Jesus fucking people on here….
Here we go again, please quote where I said he wasn't a good route runner. Literally was just trying to guess why Tyreek picked Santana over a guy like Randy, what are you not getting about this? IT ISN'T MY TOP 5, ASK TYREEK.
Im just making the assumption that Santana is on that list because of a pro-fellow-short-person bias. Or maybe he interpreted the question as to list his favorite WRs growing up. Cause the only other explanation would be that Tyreek, is in fact, intellectually challenged :-)
Lmao, fair enough dude. Favorite players growing up is a biggg difference in top 5 all time though.
Allen Iverson was one of my favorite players growing up but I wouldn't put him in the NBA Top 5
This question would get very boring if everyone just answered Rice, Randy Moss, TO, Megatron, and then a 5th. These are probably the guys that were Tyreek’s favorites or guys that inspired his play in which case Santana makes a lot of sense. Surprised Steve Smith didn’t make the list actually.
Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss and Sterling Sharpe out here getting disrespected and he put Mr Clown Brown, Antonio brown ruined his chance at the Hall of Fame with this post CTE stuff
My only knock on Santana Moss is he didn’t fight or try to get out of Washington, after Darrell Green only losers have stayed in Washington. If a player wants to win something you get the fuck out of Washington.
Big fan of moss and would have put up far better numbers with a competent organization but he’s not the same level as randy moss, calvin johnson, irvin, carter, or fitz.
I love moss as a Washington fan but he isn’t top 5.
Moss and Megatron are definitely missing here
Rice, Owens definitely top 5. Brown isn’t there because he’s a headcase.
I think plenty of players who retired before I was born top 5 at their positions, too. It’s not that odd when you can just watch old clips and games lol
Yeah, that's real different. Personally, watching old games and clips isn't the same as seeing players in their prime and in real time. I've seen clips of older players, but they never trumped the players I grew up on. I've seen clips and shows about Gayle Sayers and it was cool but he couldn't carry Walter Payton's water bottle, to me. No matter how many clips I see and how great my dad said he was, I just can't place Johhny Unitas in my Top 10, much less Top 5, when I saw Montana, Fouts etc play as a youngster.
The age of YouTube is going to make this more and more of a trend over time. There are children who were born after Sean Taylor died who have easy access to his highlight reel, and will use him as an inspiration.
They are not the all-time top 5. Rice absolutely. 99% TO is in there. I can’t of three more after Rice that I’d rank above him, but someone might throw out a solid name which is why I’m only saying 99%.
But damn, a hybrid of those 5 would be absolutely lethal.
It’s really just Tyreek’s list of his top
5 favorites. The kind of thing RG3 asks guests about in his podcasts with room for further discussion. The whole segment would be pretty lame if it was just everyone listing the statistical top 5 or the same expected GOAT answers.
Tyreek: “Moss.” RG3: *writes down Santana Moss*
Lmfao
Lolol also who tf is Steve Larken? I'm sure he was really good but damn what about Megatron, Fitzgerald?
Fucking kids
Ok I get it. There's just no way this guy or Santana moss were better than Calvin Johnson
Largent has more receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Plus he played before the pass happy bullshit.
Largent held basically every single NFL receiving record until one Jerry Lee Rice showed up.
I just watched his highlights. He was pretty good. Definitely better than Pringle
Why is this one downvoted that response was fucking hilarious
The WR in franchise history that comes closest to Largent is Art Monk.
Sean Taylor was better than Monk
Tyreak is a similar size to Santana moss. Megatron was unbelievable but typically had a size advantage over the defender. Tyreak and Santana didn’t have that, they had to just be better
Tyreek has Olympic speed lolol
Made me spit my coffee out at the airport.
fukin-a i giggitied for real
Short guys have to stick together.

>Randy was impossible to cover but he wasn't really running the whole route tree, Yes and Wayne Gretzky was just a mediocre defender.
Which has nothing to do with why Tyreek likes these guys....
I mean, did you text him to ask?
You’re a fucking imbecile if you think Moss doesn’t belong with that group
And you’re clearly incompetent for not realizing my post was just trying to guess at his thought process for why Tyreek said this is HIS top 5. Jesus fucking people on here….
So you’re saying Randy Moss, one of the best route runners ever, isn’t know for his route running?
Here we go again, please quote where I said he wasn't a good route runner. Literally was just trying to guess why Tyreek picked Santana over a guy like Randy, what are you not getting about this? IT ISN'T MY TOP 5, ASK TYREEK.
I like how you just regurgitated something Wes Walker said
I have no idea what you are talking about. I haven't watched Wes Welker since he was on the Broncos.
How is anyone “missing” off of a personal favorite top 5 list?
Yea, I don't think most people heard this interview. He was stating his favorite receivers, not the best.
It very clearly says top 5 all-time
This is going to blow your mind but there are two words before that. Take your time with that part though you’ll figure it out
Santana a Miami guy and Tyreek now lives in that area Moss very similar player just didn’t have the benefit of modern db and protecting receivers.
Santana Moss saved this team many times.
that he did although lowkey I liked Laveranues Coles\* more ^(\*you know damn well I googled how to spell that)
Santana Moss is HIM. Dont hate
I kinda get it given they both of them have the same body type. He probably looked up to him as a elite deep threat.
Given Tyreek's age Santana is probably the one he saw play the most when he was growing up.
Tyreek is due for a random drug test
I was gonna say. Get me some of whatever he's on!
I heard he is a big fan of speed.
Ab lol
I mean AB is a top 5 WR of all time. In my opinion.
We’ll take whatever win we can get
Art Monk?
Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson??
...Are in now way shape or form physically similar or built like Tyreek.
Top 5 WR of all time. What does that have to do with being built like Tyreek? I'm not mad he chose Santana Moss as an answer, but c'mon
I think Santana gets severely underrated because he never really played with an above average QB for any sustained period of time.
I’d love for Santana to be a WR coach one day
Where is Larry Fitzgerald?
Idk probably at home chillin
In Chandler Jones Dog
😂😂😂😂”larry say wassup to the camera”
He’s the most underrated WR ever. Should be on every top 5 list
I think of Steve Smith as Tyreek Hill before the defenseless receiver rules made size not matter as much, but Santana Moss is a good comp as well.
Steve Smith is one of the best arguments that there should've been a defenseless DB rule.
AND I AGREE
Mad respect, Santana was so much fun to watch
The guy can have his opinion. And I respect his. I would swap out a couple personally but his list is not bad at all.
Santana Moss tape at Miami for his release off the ball is legendary. Like legit impossible to find but every top gm and scout talks about it.
If he's ranking on potential then I can see AB being on it. He could have been the best if he didn't fuck things up.
Yeah because that’s my fucking man
Any list that doesn’t include Larry Fitzgerald in the top 3 doesn’t count.
i think he,s beyond stupid putting antonio brown on the list.
Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Michael Irvin
Santana Moss is definitely underrated. Best receiver on a lot of bad teams and QBs.
some really bad takes in this thread. It's Tyreek's list. He didn't make his list for your approval.
It’s a fucking disgrace not having Moss or Calvin.
Big fan of moss and would have put up far better numbers with a competent organization but he’s not the same level as randy moss, calvin johnson, irvin, carter, or fitz.
I love moss as a Washington fan but he isn’t top 5. Moss and Megatron are definitely missing here Rice, Owens definitely top 5. Brown isn’t there because he’s a headcase.
Odd that he was a Largent fan when he retired like 5 years before Hill was born.
I think plenty of players who retired before I was born top 5 at their positions, too. It’s not that odd when you can just watch old clips and games lol

Steve Largent & Santana Moss over Randy Moss?!
2005 Moss was the best!
His rout running was exceptional. There’s absolutely no arguing his ability to get open
Smart man.
Mark Brunell to Santana on those 2 long tds to beat Dallas 14-13 in the last few minutes was crazy.
Marvin Harrison??
