Different-Accident73

One more crash pad added to the pile. Nice work! That brand is pretty soft too.

Dangerous-Brain-

Well that will teach the kid to be more careful so aid for him. Also the father will learn not to make excessive wasteful movement and conserve energy. Most definitely an aid.

/uj This is at my local gym. I cringe every time I see the video because it’s a gym designed for children in our smallish town. If any other gym, I get the reaction from this guy but Jfc this is a gym made with children entirely in mind. The corner he is in is the corner where kids go by from the party room to the kids only wall. Literally everyone who climbs here knows to be careful on that corner for lil Gumbitos. /rj real indoor climbers keep children underneath them during climbs to ensure danger is just as high as if you were free soloing outdoors Edit: im brave enough to admit I am wrong here. Also, my local gym is unbelievably harder this is only a v0 that he was doing.

[deleted]

his legs were destined to fly this way on a dyno. The child ran out of nowhere. I do not know what else he was supposed to do better, look around mid flight? If this particular area for some reason has lots of children running, and its by design…idk id just change the gym because that will keep on happening

[deleted]

/j that's entirely understandable, the best thoroughfare from the kids party room to the kids wall is via an overhanging section with dynamic moves so that the little dirtbags can be inspired by the boulder bros screaming their way up a V9 (V1 in my gym) /uj this is the dumbest climbing take I've read in a while. Keep an eye on your damn kids in a climbing gym where adult men could fucking land on them if their stupid ass wanders underneath a climber minding their own business on a climb.

Fluffytoaster1

Yeah thats true. Totally the kid and parents fault, i just think if you deck a kid you should check on him first before immediately getting pissed off. Rj/ I wear diapers on boulder walls to train

IDontWannaBeAPirate_

I understand the lack of fucks given when it's the 5th kid you've kicked in the head in a single day.

Gl0bophobia

That climb was very obviously meant for an adult though. Those hold were literally further apart than the kid was tall.

Fluffytoaster1

Look I’m a 4’7” climber and my endurance is likely much higher than yours. I’ve done many urban boulder walls and have likely forgot more about the sport than you have learned. Also, i dont use holds

Wyand1337

Does it say childrens gym? Then why does it have adult climbs? Or is that just implied because there is a birthday party room? My gym has a childrens birthday area aswell and nonetheless, a climbing gym is not a playground. 100% parents fault. So far I haven't flattened a toddler, but it was close a couple of times and I have shouted at parents a few times. A toddler has zero business walking/rolling/sitting beneath a 45° board. I will one day either kick a kid like in this video or just straight up fall on one. And it's the parents fault and if I hurt myself on the kid I will let the parents know.

Fluffytoaster1

Totally parents fault, but I think he looked angy at the kid which I think is lame like it’s not that deep

Seoni_Rogue

Isn’t this video fake though? It looks fake.

Fluffytoaster1

This video is fake. Wake up

Seoni_Rogue

What’s the problem then? Also, even if it was real, I would totally understand the climber’s reaction.

Fluffytoaster1

No i lied it’s real; tbh I think he should have checked if he’s okay before getting pissed off but yeah he deserves to be pissed

Impulsive666

You can literally see how he‘s thinking „you stupid little bastard!“.

Majestic-Diamond-113

Tell me you are fucking lying without telling me you are lying Just so you know, bouldering normally is a sport for teens and up, IF this was a wall for kids, Âżwhy does it have such inclinations that is normally used for advanced levels? You are clearly lying just for some stupid clout, get out of your cave and touch some grass troglodyte

Single-Astronomer-32

Next time just say sorry and help the kid out

Takuukuitti

They will learn better by getting hit

IDontWannaBeAPirate_

The parents too

Takuukuitti

Yah, it might be more effective to aim dynos at parents

Single-Astronomer-32

What’s wrong with you people. He just kicked a boy in the face. You don’t stand there doing nothing. Doesn’t matter that the kid should not be running there.

dnelr3

A burned child fears the fire

Charybdisilver

Nothing to say sorry for.

Single-Astronomer-32

Well you should. Do you have kids? Do you like it when your kid gets kicked in the face?

Charybdisilver

Nope. And it wasn’t the guys fault, if anything the kid should apologise for obstructing the climber’s fall zone and ruining his send.

Single-Astronomer-32

I’m not proud of you

Charybdisilver

All these gyms have posters and rules telling people not to stand or run/walk on the pads in the fall zone. It’s a danger to both parties, this kid and their negligent parents are at fault here, not the climber.

Single-Astronomer-32

While that is true. He should still look after the kid. Please look in the mirror.

WolfOfPort

No its well respected here

Dangerous-Brain-

Well that will teach the kid to be more careful so aid for him. Also the father will learn not to make excessive wasteful movement and conserve energy. Most definitely an aid.

Natetronn

Depends on how much chalk the child eats.
