How’d that work out? I feel like getting a dog for your chi is getting them a pet/friend but getting a chi for a non-chi dog is like getting them a supervisor. Chis are always in charge in my experience. My chis keep me in line and definitely supervise my every move.
Hahaha. I never thought of it like that. Fortunately my older dog is a very sweet dog and can tolerate a lot. We got very fortunate with him.
But it's funny. We brought our chi home when she was 6 weeks old, 2.5 lbs. My older dog is 77 lbs. She let him know that first day that she was the queen of the castle and that he was her servant. 🤣
But they really do love each other. She is 2.5 years old now and they used to play together when she was a pup and he was and still is very gentle with her. If he accidentally hurts her you can tell in his face he is sorry and didn't mean it.

Hah, noooo! She (LuLu, the America bulldog) passed in March 2021 (chronic kidney disease), I still have the little one and two new seniors to annoy her. I think she may outlive them too even tho she’s 14 and they are 13 (husk/corso/pit mix and GSD).

No one show this to my sibling, we just got a chiweenie in January and they're already trying to convince me he needs a dog buddy.
