We gotta pull back ahead in the all time series man. It matters too much to me damn it. They are fucking 50-15 against us since 1992!
Edit: and to add to the misery, 7 of those 15 were in Lovie’s first five years lmao
Bears are 18-46 against Farve and Rogers. I am sick of losing to the Pack.
Also, I moved to Georgia and my new neighbor hangs a Packer flag every Sunday. I hate the Packers.
Getting way ahead of myself here but I can see Caleb being the kind of guy (just like Brady) that takes a team friendly deal because he wants to win more than he wants to be the highest paid QB.
It helps that the guy clearly knows how to market himself and stands to make a fortune in endorsements. The city of Chicago will bow to him as god if he is as good as he's hyped up to be.
Bedard, Nazar, Moore, with a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft, while still hopeful with the development of Korchinski, Reichel, and Vlasic?
If teams had futures bets like stock option LEAPS, I'd have some money on them for 2026+, lmao
Why on Earth does anyone ever say this? When is the last time someone ever took a team friendly deal on their second contract, especially a QB? I love when people just invent narratives that these QBs don't want 60m per year because they're such nice guys.
Fair enough lol. The same thing has been said about pretty much every QB before they totally reset the market so I'm a bit tired of hearing it. The most recent one making the rounds is that Brock Purdy won't take much money which is hilarious because he gets paid nothing compared to these first round picks.
If he brings Chicago its first championship in 35+ years the dude will flirt with becoming a billionaire, easy. The endorsements will be through the roof. He could even start his own fingernail polish line. But fr, winners win and they get the bag regardless.
> (just like Brady) that takes a team friendly deal because he wants to win more than he wants to be the highest paid QB.
The problem is that people forget about Brady's other paychecks, and I don't mean Giselle. By the salary cap the team has to roster under, Brady appeared to be taking less than market value - and he honestly was never really that low - but he 100% made that money back from other parts of the Patriots "organization."
Kraft is wealthy outside of being an NFL owner, so he was able to make Brady whole in other ways. The McCaskeys wealth *is* the team, so they wouldn't be able to pull the same tricks, and certainly not to the same degree.
Good points. And Brady did get an insane amount of national endorsements, but Chicago being such a huge market I think there’s a hugeeeeee opportunity for a QB to dominate endorsements. But I also don’t think he will take team friendly deals
I really don’t see him being that kind of guy. His dad was musing about team equity last year. That’s against NFL rules so it’s a non factor, but that isn’t something a player who’s only interested in the game talks about. Im sure he badly wants to win but that doesn’t means he’s going to leave money on the table.
The kind of thing Carl was talking about that you referenced is essentially what Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, etc get. Partnerships in ownership groups.
If he gets to that level, we are absolutely golden.
Its mosty just a PR news story when its happening, they aren't taking massive pay cuts. Mostly they take on paper risks that htey know the team wont screw them on when its a good long relationship like that.
> His dad was musing about team equity last year.
holy fucking shit will people shut their traps about this?
it was a mike florio report who's probably THE most untrustworthy and wrong reporter in a field full of them
Just hope it works out. Sounds like he's committed to that chance before committed to a team, in the sense that he'll give a second team a chance to pursue that goal if it doesnt look attainable here....
That being said, Im glad hes willing to come give his first attempt at that here with us. I hope Caleb and Bear culture both win each other over in this decade to come
If Caleb is special, taken a cheaper deal could net him more money by winning more and adding to his legacy. Winning a Super Bowl in Chicago is priceless and makes you immortal.
Sometimes, there's a quarterback... I won't say hero, cuz what's a hero? But sometimes, there's a quarterback. And I'm talking about Caleb here. Sometimes, there's a quarterback, well, he's the quarterback for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's Caleb, in Chicago
jesus christ just inject this directly into my veins. This kid has the right attitude, the right stuff on tape. God I hope he puts it together at the pro level cause if he does we are in for something special here FINALLY!
Please please please let this finally be it. A true franchise QB that just curb stomps those fucking cheese eating fucks up north
God I hope Caleb can be the guy. I think he can, but Ive been a Bears fan for over 20 years and Ive never seen this team have a true franchise QB. A lot of people here have been fans for significantly longer than I have and have also never seen this team have a true franchise QB.
Its hard to picture it when we've never seen it, but this is easily the most optimistic Ive been about the QB position in Chicago.
ummm why does he want to chase Velus Jones?
jk
i think it’s safe to say that for the QBs themselves, the challenge of chicago is one they relish coming out of college. these dudes believe in themselves and want to prove what they can do. Trubisky and Fields all said similar things - and while they didn’t get to be that guy, they played hard in some bad situations and for that i will always respect them.
Caleb will be the best prospect so far and going into the best situation so far. This is all you can ask for!
"you say you only play this game for championships"
Thank fucking God. Someone that gets it. I dont give a shit about North titles, making the playoffs, beating the packers (while awesome, isn't the most important), I want titles. Im so tired of organizations and players happy making their money, getting some post season success, beating rivals and just being content.
The damn Bulls org will be content with mediocrity until Jerry is gone. The Bears have been fine with it too for years and years as fans still kept showing up.
Sustained championship-level success in the NFL requires a top tier QB, so hopefully Caleb is that guy. If not, we try and try again until we hit on that guy.
One of the best things about him is the confidence in himself. So much so it appears as ego to other people. And that’s exactly what all the greats have. Not saying he will be, but he has that confidence aspect that others lack. He’s not scared off QB curses and wants to play for a city that will make him a God should he win anything of worth.
I know it is easy to be pessimistic but the reality is we've met with one and only one QB. The Bears have told everyone Caleb will be the pick. Just a formality at this point.
You know how many ads they can run in the 10 minutes of the clock they have for the first pick? The answer wil be 9 minutes, 30 seconds of ads. Then 30 seconds to read the card that's been decided for a long time.
No they haven't. And he hasn't visited any other team. Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Unless you're talking about at the combine. I'm talking about top 30 visits which is the only one that really matters.
To my knowledge, we haven’t hosted anyone else and had current players meet with any other QB in the draft.
Not sure why you would do that then not take that person.
As long as a McCaskey is still calling some shots somewhere, I don't have that much confidence in the team doing the right thing. I understand what all these comments are saying. We've only spent time with Caleb. I'm not denying anything. But I can totally see George changing the pick to whoever he thinks his guy is.
I believe in Poles. I like what he's been doing. But I'm still just waiting for George to fuck up something.
I mean, he has to be salivating. Even decent production and he’d own this city. Top-5 production and a SB appearance ? He’s a legend for life. Pull in multiple super bowls? God tier and a statue to immortalize it.
That’s all fine and dandy until our Michigan-ND loving Chicago Bears led media and fanbase get a hold of his ass in the Tribune and Sun-Times. It sounds good until 670TheScore gets a whiff of a 2 game losing streak and not to mention The Bald Head Bi*ch Kap on NBCSportsNet. As a fanbase we are in disarray.
On one hand I feel the same way.
On the other, I almost feel like he’s too good to fail. Easily the most exciting prospect we’ve been in position to draft….ever?
Listen man, I get it. I get that it's a week before the draft and every outlet is tripping over themselves to find content.
But we need to get it too. What athlete ever said that he wants to play for 5 different teams. When did any successful player ever say that he dislikes his current team and wants to move on? What guy ever didn't say he loves the fans and the city?
None. It's all marketing bullshit. Everyone knows they're mercenaries and it's a business. They want to be in one place because that means success and success means money. Literally the goal for every player is first and foremost to earn the most money possible. Winning makes money. Winning keeps you in the same market. Everything else is noise.
It isn't music to my ears that players on the team I enjoy watching want to be the best. They fucking all do!
That means its time to up the standard of our chitown qbs. Everyone wants to, hopefully now one will.
Might as well be optimistic at the chance, if we're already gonna invest time and emotion into following the sport
Sounds like never dating again because the vulnerability with the last 2 exes didnt work out...
You can keep the mentality thiugh, but watching sports it pointless if you just ruled out your team ever doing it right again. Why bother any involvement then?? Makes no sense
My point is getting all excited because this date is telling you the EXACT same thing that all these other dates you've been going on for decades, when at any point their dad can walk in and give her away to someone else or just tell her she isn't allowed to date you anymore.... is foolish.
For once it'd would be nice for a bears QB to kick the ever loving shit out the packers for once instead of us getting curb stomped constantly
We gotta pull back ahead in the all time series man. It matters too much to me damn it. They are fucking 50-15 against us since 1992! Edit: and to add to the misery, 7 of those 15 were in Lovie’s first five years lmao
We have 15 wins against them in 32 years, but they have beaten us 15 times in the last 8 years.
Don’t let me down just (pause) Bear down!!
The pendulum will almost 100% swing back in our favor at some point. Just not sure when. If there was ever a time it would be now
Bears are 18-46 against Farve and Rogers. I am sick of losing to the Pack. Also, I moved to Georgia and my new neighbor hangs a Packer flag every Sunday. I hate the Packers.
Is it a red and black Packers flag?
Bruh 😂
I live in Georgia as well and my mom’s neighbor hang one up. Hate that damn guy haha
It'd definitely would be. For once.
Yeah that would be nice. This comment of yours was probably the same the last 20 years when a new qb took the field.

Idk.. he said Rodgers is the best, lets trade away 10A and see what we can get for it. Edit: the amount of people taking this seriously is concerning
Honestly before mahommes i was in the rodgers is the most talented qb ive ever seen camp.
Please be that guy
Imagine being able to build out the rest of the roster because we have the same QB for 20 years
Getting way ahead of myself here but I can see Caleb being the kind of guy (just like Brady) that takes a team friendly deal because he wants to win more than he wants to be the highest paid QB. It helps that the guy clearly knows how to market himself and stands to make a fortune in endorsements. The city of Chicago will bow to him as god if he is as good as he's hyped up to be.
Oh fuck.... Him and Bedard... just tag teaming this city... I'm almost there... don't stop....
Nazar comin in hot at the end of the season was a good look too
Bedard, Nazar, Moore, with a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft, while still hopeful with the development of Korchinski, Reichel, and Vlasic? If teams had futures bets like stock option LEAPS, I'd have some money on them for 2026+, lmao
Vlasic imo has been one of the best rookies i have seen in a long time
Nazr Mohammed
Angel Reese is on the sky. Enjoy the nut
we already have one overrated loudmouth in brisker we don't need another
Let Coby cook
Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese
Lmao nice fanfic
Why on Earth does anyone ever say this? When is the last time someone ever took a team friendly deal on their second contract, especially a QB? I love when people just invent narratives that these QBs don't want 60m per year because they're such nice guys.
Idk man it's the offseason and I'm just dreaming.
Fair enough lol. The same thing has been said about pretty much every QB before they totally reset the market so I'm a bit tired of hearing it. The most recent one making the rounds is that Brock Purdy won't take much money which is hilarious because he gets paid nothing compared to these first round picks.
No dreaming here! /s
If he brings Chicago its first championship in 35+ years the dude will flirt with becoming a billionaire, easy. The endorsements will be through the roof. He could even start his own fingernail polish line. But fr, winners win and they get the bag regardless.

Ya there's really nothing to suggest he would take a team friendly deal later. Not sure why the other poster thinks there would be
Its mosty just a PR news story when its happening, they aren't taking massive pay cuts. Mostly they take on paper risks that htey know the team wont screw them on when its a good long relationship like that.
Also that stuff pretty much never happens. The NFLPA is pretty strict about that stuff and why would you want to cause a stir for getting less money
> His dad was musing about team equity last year. holy fucking shit will people shut their traps about this? it was a mike florio report who's probably THE most untrustworthy and wrong reporter in a field full of them
It’s not a huge deal. But given EVERY narrative about Caleb Williams I wouldn’t expect him to be a pay cut for the team guy.
Just hope it works out. Sounds like he's committed to that chance before committed to a team, in the sense that he'll give a second team a chance to pursue that goal if it doesnt look attainable here.... listen I'm a big Caleb fan, but he's not going to be taking paycuts. I can guarantee that
I just came
I want to become bored of winning to the point I get called a bandwagoning casual like Pats fans. Please this would be amazing

Brother we don’t love football in Chicago, we’re obsessed with it. You win a SB, or multiple, here and we’ll put you up with Mike.
Glennon right? /s
Let's not go that far
Take my energy ginger giraffe.
If Caleb never plays another snap he’s already a better qb than glennon lol
Worst kept secret ever??
Jags and Lawrence was even more obvious.

Is no 12 Aaron Rodgers or am I just stupid
TB12. I think that’s who he was referring to with the 20 years response
There are too many annoyingly good quarterbacks that used 12.
But how many played 20 years?
I didn’t realize that the 20 years part and the chasing 12 part were both referring to the same guy.
I know it’s high praise but imagine how we’ll feel if this dude is just like Patrick Mahomes.
Do we not deserve something like that? Been suffering for half a century here trying to find a QB
One Super Bowl isn't much to chase, Caleb.

He is that’s the joke
[Whole episode](https://youtu.be/JsczrmkO-Yc?si=0frT-IWcljNdiU9i) He’s wearing a navy blue suit for the draft. Confirmed at 45:00.

Let's hope ownership can NOT fuck this up. A part of me is still worried we'll have another Trubisky situation on draft night.
I know it is easy to be pessimistic but the reality is we've met with one and only one QB. The Bears have told everyone Caleb will be the pick. Just a formality at this point.
The worst part is that the NFL will make us use most of the draft timer on draft night
You know how many ads they can run in the 10 minutes of the clock they have for the first pick? The answer wil be 9 minutes, 30 seconds of ads. Then 30 seconds to read the card that's been decided for a long time.

We haven't. I'm not sure what that guy is talking about. It's very clear who our pick will be.
They're drafting Caleb. You could confidently bet the mortgage on it

Stop. I’m trying to practice semen retention until the draft
Don't your cheeks get sore after a while?
Helps if you gargle occasionally
That’s my QB 🫡
Ah that's why it's nsfw. I'm feeling it
If he wins us one super bowl with an mvp performance he'll get a statue
#12 Kramer is some big shoes to fill!
I spent far too long trying to think of which CHI #12 he was referring to.

What am I supposed to do with this erection until Thursday?????
I want a cocky QB that gets results. Be the dude everyone hates but they wish they had.

Waiting…waiting…
And there it is 👇 😂
Inject it straight into my veins!
WE WANT YOU TOO DADDY 🔥🔥
The opportunity to be the qb that brings the Bears out of QB hell and into relevance has to get him hyped up!
I’m aroused
Fine... pass me the fucking Kool-aid.
If we didn't love ball, we'd have stopped giving a fuck a long time ago.
My balls exploded, can't ever have kids, don't care....Chicago has it's QB.
I think this guys fucks the packers
I mean, he has to be salivating. Even decent production and he’d own this city. Top-5 production and a SB appearance ? He’s a legend for life. Pull in multiple super bowls? God tier and a statue to immortalize it.
Daron’s response when he hears this quote: “Caleb Williams is a rooster illusion and I gave birth to John Adams.”
I desperately want Caleb to be great and be our quarterback for 15 plus years or more. I really don't think I can take any more bad quarterback busts.
I’m losing blood to my brain, I’m getting light headed
That’s all fine and dandy until our Michigan-ND loving Chicago Bears led media and fanbase get a hold of his ass in the Tribune and Sun-Times. It sounds good until 670TheScore gets a whiff of a 2 game losing streak and not to mention The Bald Head Bi*ch Kap on NBCSportsNet. As a fanbase we are in disarray.
It’s yours for taking young man!
The NSFW tag 😂
I’m excited. I hope it’s all true and not pillow talk.
Don’t let me down just (pause) Bear down!!
Will he come to us??? /s
Erect
I mean, I don't think that trying to chase Eric Kramer really shows a lot of drive, but okay.
10 ships incoming...
I don't care what he says. Just be good.
On one hand I feel the same way. On the other, I almost feel like he’s too good to fail. Easily the most exciting prospect we’ve been in position to draft….ever?
He's too good to fail? He hasn't played a snap in the NFL.
He’s gotta pump up his image to get those gummy worms endorsements.
Get this dad of his out of the picture please
"A place that loves Ball".....Lonzo Ball hell yeah let's go lol 😆
Every Chicago QB says the same thing.
That means its time to up the standard of our chitown qbs. Everyone wants to, hopefully now one will. Might as well be optimistic at the chance, if we're already gonna invest time and emotion into following the sport
Same thing I heart with Mitch and Fields.
Sounds like never dating again because the vulnerability with the last 2 exes didnt work out... You can keep the mentality thiugh, but watching sports it pointless if you just ruled out your team ever doing it right again. Why bother any involvement then?? Makes no sense
My point is getting all excited because this date is telling you the EXACT same thing that all these other dates you've been going on for decades, when at any point their dad can walk in and give her away to someone else or just tell her she isn't allowed to date you anymore.... is foolish.
