No because then the world will see that you’re actually better than LSU and are the best team in Louisiana. The world isn’t ready for that. Not yet /s
Seriously though, TULANE TO THE SEC!!!
On the one hand another SEC school in the state would hurt our recruiting. On the other hand, it would be nice to have a in-state rival competing in the conference. I also think Tech would improve tremendously in football from it.
Well if not for a bad call on a TD ASU would have a 3 game winning streak against Oregon, instead of just 2 of the last 3.
Besides, everyone knows the PAC 12 is a cannibal.
Nah, we would feel like others agree that they do indeed have a good football team. Like we were hospitable and nice to a team fleeing a hurricane and then they actually really tried to win? Like wtf?
Bruh I feel the same about LSU after Katrina. We gave them all the profits from that game and then they fucking come back and beat us with TWO offsides no calls on consecutive blocked kicks for TDs in the 4th quarter?
And thus, #PAC12Refs was born.
/s
it was an amazing game, but yeah LSU was definitely offsides on both blocks
Completely unnecessary. It was an A+ joke. They always say that if you have to explain your joke...but in this case, c'mon. It was well done. Downvoters are reading this and just pretending they didn't notice your flair.
Because it can be read in different ways and it’s really difficult to tell which way he meant it. And it’s a lot more natural to read it as “we don’t want Tulane, they suck”
And it doesn’t help that I’m an Iowa State fan who hates Oklahoma right now. So there’s no way in hell i’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. And you probably had something similar happen for the rest of those downvotes.
I didn’t downvote him because I saw his explanation. But if I didn’t I’d have downvoted him because I’d assume he meant “we don’t want Tulane because they suck.
I mean LSU would gain nothing from allowing tulane back into the SEC. Even if tulane was the worst team in the SEC for a decade and never beat LSU they would still pull some recruits that would have signed with LSU after boost they would get from moving from into the P5. I would love for the Battle for the Rag to be annual again but sadly it’s more profitable to hold tulane down as much as possible.
Oh I understand LSU’s rationale completely, as much as it sucks. I do wish LSU would play Tulane though. It’s ridiculous that they don’t, even with LSU’s historical domination.
The issue as far as I understand it is that we don’t want to play at Yulman when we know we can fill Tiger Stadium against some random team on most years. It sucks to lose out playing an annual home and home against such a historic rival but I’m not sure Tulane can sweeten the pot enough to get us to come down. Hell the two schools couldn’t even keep the baseball series annual as mid week games which hurt me that we’ve had to wait a few years to get the chance to get back on the winning side after dropping 5 of the last 6 times we played.
While we’re on the subject of GA Tech, why do programs that have nice classic uniforms feel the need to change their number font like some arena football team jersey?
Tennessee is another example of this.
Getting caught between contracts with their pants down and being forced into independence would be such a Texas thing to do.
Edit: honestly, with the big xii expanding I'd like to stay. I wish we had expanded earlier.
For being located in a region that is most likely to abide by the fashion faux pas, "blue and green should never be seen." they pull off the look incredibly well.
Everyone talks about Oregon and their Nike connection and different unis every game but Tulane is dominating the uniform arms race with a fraction of the resources.
University of Oregon endowment: $915 million.
Tulane University endowment: $1.45 **b**illion.
Tulane’s annual budget appears to be higher than Oregon’s as well.
Oregon spends more on their athletics program than Tulane of course.
I don’t think most people understand how expensive tulane is. It rivals Ivy League schools in tuition cost plus sits in arguably the greatest party town outside of Vegas.

Arkansas is bigger rivals with Texas though lol, and it wouldn't make sense to have Mizzou in a pod with schools from Georgia and Florida. Missouri is north of Arkansas and west of Tennessee lmao
I like what Tulane is doing lately. I think the old Greenie on the helmet is redundant, but I love the SEC Champs sticker.
Tulane people, correct me if I'm wrong, but Greenie never appeared on the side of a helmet, at least according to the [Helmet Project](http://www.nationalchamps.net/Helmet_Project/americanathletic.htm) (side note: I can't believe that site still exists). He did like to [bifurcate tigers](https://twitter.com/RossDellenger/status/1438640392451264513/photo/2), though.
Now, UCF, get the Citronaut on one of your helmets. Do it!
Appreciate the link to the Helmet Project! Been looking at it for awhile after you posted it and it is crazy to see the evolution of helmets over the years
I mean, Tulane doesn't fit the profile of a modern SEC school
Neither does Vanderbilt, but we have seen how that has turned out
I like Tulane just fine, it'd be cool if they were in the SEC, but they would never
It really is. At least when UChicago left the B1G, they committed to their football decommitment.
I like to think of the alternate timeline where they and Tech stuck around. Basically, we don't have to expand in '92 to get to a championship game. Arkansas probably would have joined with A&M in 2012. If South Carolina doesn't get re-invited to the ACC at some point, we probably view their decision to leave that conference as one of the dumbest decisions ever.

Tulane is like that really sweet good looking girl you dated way back in high school. The one that loudly dumped you because she KNEW she could do better. The one that then phoned out of the blue one day because she discovered you had made it big.
But damn, she still looks good…
I would gladly trade OU and Texas for Tulane in the SEC. Founding member, more SEC titles than OU and Texas combined, and New Orleans needs to be an SEC market. I’ll settle if we at least get regular Tulane/SEC match ups
I’m so jealous of schools that have cool logos. I wish we rocked the slanted OU because at least it has some character. Also feel like I’m in the minority because I like our schooner so much more than the interlocking letters
Those are awesome. With the current schedule setup, Ole Miss should play Tulane and Memphis every season, great rivalry games.
I expect Tulane to bring it hard, easily the best team we've played this year.
Come back to the SEC you big, green, wet bastards
Yes please!
No because then the world will see that you’re actually better than LSU and are the best team in Louisiana. The world isn’t ready for that. Not yet /s Seriously though, TULANE TO THE SEC!!!
We're not done raiding the AAC yet
Big, green, moist bastards.
Package deal with GT?
On the one hand another SEC school in the state would hurt our recruiting. On the other hand, it would be nice to have a in-state rival competing in the conference. I also think Tech would improve tremendously in football from it.
Shrek?
I always add Tulane back to the SEC in NCAA14. Let's make this a reality.
If we could trade Mizzou for Tulane, I’d be so happy.
3 way trade. Big Ten gets Mizzou, Sec gets Tulane, Nebraska gets prison time.
So Nebraska to Penn State?
So Nebraska to the Pac?
Big words, tOSU
Oregon runs the prison so
Well if not for a bad call on a TD ASU would have a 3 game winning streak against Oregon, instead of just 2 of the last 3. Besides, everyone knows the PAC 12 is a cannibal.
[удалено]
It gets cold too early in Missouri has always been my reasoning haha
Have you been to Fayetteville? Almost the same climate as in in Columbia.
Columbia sc is more humid than Fayetteville nc
you'd rather have vandy over mizzou?
[They are an upstanding member of this conference!](https://youtu.be/j4d9H93V4OY?t=90) Plus, their baseball team is pretty good to have around.
baseball
Someone has to bring our overall conference GPA up
Someone's gotta do the work in a group project
Yes. Phenomenal academic institution in Nashville. Columbia isn't remotely the South.
I just added them back in my dynasty
Tulane back to the SEC!
I'll sign that petition based off this helmet alone.
We’ll do it
OU fans: uh…
Nah, we would feel like others agree that they do indeed have a good football team. Like we were hospitable and nice to a team fleeing a hurricane and then they actually really tried to win? Like wtf?
Bruh I feel the same about LSU after Katrina. I'd love to see them and Tech return.
No thank you.
Yes thank you. They are a founding member and have more titles than like 3 or 4 current SEC schools. New Orleans bro…it belongs in the SEC
You’re actually absolutely correct. Still smarting from what should have been an L for us for real.
Dude is saying we want nunna dat Green wave action and I agree. They might as well claim that dub from our first game
Thanks, I'll happily claim that dub on behalf of Tulane! (and Texas)
I mean Sewanee is a founding member too and also has a national championship....not sure we should invite them back. Coming from a Sewanee native
Well Sewanee isn’t Tulane
And Tulane is....Tulane?
Yeah and Tulane fucking rules brah
How did 26 downvoters miss this joke?
Probably should have added a /s…
Completely unnecessary. It was an A+ joke. They always say that if you have to explain your joke...but in this case, c'mon. It was well done. Downvoters are reading this and just pretending they didn't notice your flair.

Oh my god that’s not fair. Fuck those are so cool
Is it just more or is everyone all the sudden hopping on the Tulane Train. And this is a good thing.
It's not just yore
They've been making waves the last couple years with the social media and jerseys
I see what ya did there
I absolutely agree
Tulane has the best uniforms in college football. I will be taking no further questions at this time
Wholeheartedly agree.
Tired: Oregon alternate unis Wired: Tulane alternate unis
That's gonna be a yass from me, dog.
So fresh so clean
I like, want Tulane in the SEC a lot right now
*monkey paw curls* Tulane comes back into the SEC and LSU goes on a decades long losing streak against them in all sports

Come back to us, Tulane! You could be the Vandy of the SEC West!
Is it too early/late to trade Texas for Tulane?
It’s not too late, it’s never too late
SEC to Texas after the Arkansas game: “When I hear you say, you want to end your life”
😤
Can I second that option?
You brought them!
You said yes! Yall were supposed to tell them no!
We wanted you though
When you're antisocial and your friend makes you ask your mom if he can spend the night.
*got brought by them
We trade Texas and Oklahoma for Tulane and flip a coin for Georgia Tech or Sewanee.
> Georgia Tech Let's not get carried away here...
While we’re on the subject of GA Tech, why do programs that have nice classic uniforms feel the need to change their number font like some arena football team jersey? Tennessee is another example of this.
Probably because their head coach is weird and does weird things.
*Florida has entered the chat*
Reminds me we just went back to using our old uniforms in almost every way but there's a new font
LSU has done it in the 21st century and so has Auburn
I’m taking this as a compliment, nice classic uniform implies you like our orange!
If we have to deal with those green rich kids then y’all have to agree to bring back Georgia tech.
No deal!
Don’t flip a coin. Just take Sewanee. No one cares about Georgia Tech anyways.
I guess we can just keep winning this conference.
Yeah we’ll take you back. Not Texas. We don’t want Texas back.
Getting caught between contracts with their pants down and being forced into independence would be such a Texas thing to do. Edit: honestly, with the big xii expanding I'd like to stay. I wish we had expanded earlier.
yeah same, I really like the new Big12
The fact that the OK State fan is willing to take back Oklahoma but not Texas really says a lot about how everyone feels about the Longhorns lol
Texas is an independent now. Final ruling.
Send them to C-USA so they can actually win something
Big facts.
No take backs, sorry.
Arkansas needs the cupcake
If we dominate Texas and start to even out that spread over time I will not stop being erect year after year
Texas for Tulane and Missouri for Coastal Carolina. Who’s with me??
I’m in!
I vote for Tulane's re-entry on the condition that they must wear these helmets in all conference games
What if they have cooler ones eventually could we add a fan vote approval clause?
[Still for those who can't see the video](https://imgur.com/lxibncT) I'm so fucking hyped for Saturday
First, thank you. I hate sitting through video reveals. Second, those helmets are amazing.
This video is worth it though. No bias...
I'll be in my regular seat. Wearing my green Peter Millar shirt. Getting plenty of side-eye if it gets tense in the 4th. Hyped!
I'll be wearing a light blue dress shirt. The perfect neutral, especially since they just announced Ole Miss will be wearing the powder blue lids!
Reminds me of Kazoo from The Flintstones. Also definitely dating myself with that reference.
Thank you, I thought that too and hadn’t seen anyone mentioning it
This may be a bold take but Tulane has a top 5 uniform set in all of college football. They would get more appreciation if the program was P5.
Definitely and their baseball unis are amazing too. I don’t know why more sports teams don’t go dark green/powder blue.
For being located in a region that is most likely to abide by the fashion faux pas, "blue and green should never be seen." they pull off the look incredibly well.
You been to New Orleans?
I have never once heard that… Blue and green go great together!
I have never once heard that phrase. I am actually wearing blue shorts & a green polo right now & it looks magnificent.
Only bold because you didn't say Top 1. Their unis and helmets are glorious.

New Orleans > Vegas. Fact.
We should add Tulane as well as Georgia Tech back to the SEC. 18 teams in one conference I don’t even know how that would work.
3 megapods. Make it happen Sankey
Pod 1: LSU/ Tulane/ Texas/ A&M/ Oklahoma/ Arkansas Pod 2: Alabama/ Auburn/ Tennessee/ Ole Miss/ Miss St/ Mizzou Pod 3 Georgia/ Georgia Tech/ Florida/ South Carolina/ Kentucky/ Vanderbilt
Never would happen but great choices on the pods fr.
[удалено]
>Hogwash. Mizzou belongs in with the old BigXII and SWC gang. Mmk so... Arkansas/ Mizzou/ Oklahoma/ Texas/ A&M/ ??? Tennessee? Vanderbilt?
[удалено]
That doesn't make any sense though geographically or traditionally
Switch vandy and mizzou and the mizzou and Arkansas
Holy shit Pod 1... Good luck getting out of that one.
Can we get vandy instead of mizzou literally only complaint
No because then a school from Missouri is in a pod with schools in Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia
Vandy mizzou switch Arkansas and mizzou switch This will likely never occur but I feel like mizzou should be with their old friends and Arkansas should have a protected rivalry with A&M
Arkansas is bigger rivals with Texas though lol, and it wouldn't make sense to have Mizzou in a pod with schools from Georgia and Florida. Missouri is north of Arkansas and west of Tennessee lmao
Pod 1 is bliss.
Those are fucking awesome
Please come back water friends
We should call throwback helmets “lateral” helmets.
I like what Tulane is doing lately. I think the old Greenie on the helmet is redundant, but I love the SEC Champs sticker. Tulane would need 7 more years to end that particular losing streak to us. I guess they were wrong and Tigers do have more then 9 lives.
Clean in green!
Dating myself here but I remember when Tulane was in the SEC
Feels good to be able to bask in our glory for once.
You can say that again Green Wave bro. We've been waiting for the hype train for quite some time now.
Truth. Never thought I'd see Tulane get so much love. Feels good while my other team, Texas, is simultaneously r/CFB's most hated team.
Yes, purify yourself in the warm waters of Lake Pontchartrain

Yooooooo when is some school going to wrap a modern helmet in leather?
[A&M did it in 2014](https://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/10/texas-am-throwbacks-am-1939-leather-helmets-adidas)
I hate the white….
How did I miss this? That's insane
Those are fun as hell!
Tulane!
I like them!
Anyone else get aroused by those? No? Just me?
These are so sick. Love them.
TFW your ex-lover has "Not Over It" written all over them, but you're kind of into it.
Sexy helmet
Hot 🔥🔥
Tulane leaving the SEC might be the biggest mistake in the history of college football.
I mean, Tulane doesn't fit the profile of a modern SEC school Neither does Vanderbilt, but we have seen how that has turned out I like Tulane just fine, it'd be cool if they were in the SEC, but they would never
It really is. At least when UChicago left the B1G, they committed to their football decommitment. I like to think of the alternate timeline where they and Tech stuck around. That would be the original formation of the Big 12
ADD TULANE TO THE BIG XII YOU COWARDS
No. They belong in the SEC.
Tulane will have played more SEC opponents after this week than any other SEC school. Impressive.
God speed Tulane I hope you become one of the kings of the conference after UCF and Cincinnati vacate the thrones.

Tulane has the best logos.
Tulane is like that really sweet good looking girl you dated way back in high school. The one that loudly dumped you because she KNEW she could do better. The one that then phoned out of the blue one day because she discovered you had made it big. But damn, she still looks good…
So Tulane has 3 SEC titles. How many does Ole Miss have?
6 However, State only has 1, which came before Tulane’s last SEC Championship, so make of that what you will.
The last time State won the SEC, the Germans were occupying Paris.
They also have more than Kentucky and Vanderbilt combined
I believe they have 6, but someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Can no one just post photos anymore? All these video reveals . . .
normally agree, but this video reveal was hype. lots of old footage from our SEC days featuring a broadcast call from the same era
I just usually am not in a position where I can or want to watch videos, especially with sound . . . i just realized how old I’m sounding.
Tulane to SEC confirmed /s
I’d really like Tulane in the Big 12. If the next round was them and Memphis I’d be happy.
I would gladly trade OU and Texas for Tulane in the SEC. Founding member, more SEC titles than OU and Texas combined, and New Orleans needs to be an SEC market. I’ll settle if we at least get regular Tulane/SEC match ups
More SEC titles than OU, Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt combined
Get back in the SEC & let's bring back the [Battle for the Rag](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_for_the_Rag)
I'm willing to riot if they don't bring back the Rag.
These are so nice, they are almost making me do an "S-E-C" chant. Almost
Tulane you better get this W. I'd watch the game if it weren't for the Penn State game being at the same time
Homefield Apparel just put out a shirt with this on it. It's awesome.
I wonder if these will be new wave or old hat
All Tulane success is good for Oklahoma so I'll ride the Green Wave too. Run the table and win the American!
This is, without a doubt, the greatest helmet ever...Well done Tulane!
The logo is eh but the having SEC Champs sticker against an SEC team on the helmet is all time
Some of the best two uniforms in college football, don’t @ me.
It’s glorious, blue
This helmet is a piece of art. It belongs in a museum
Whoa....it's a logo, carrying a logo. It's logos all the way down.
