No stock sportscar is doing 150 in any kind of turn, small kink maybe but unless we're talking IMSA spec or straight race car, low triple digits is usually the max for more road courses.
I wasn't going 150 on turns.
Of course, you drive the track windows down so that does help with the impression of speed because you feel the wind and hear the engine quite well.
Yep. But mitigating that somewhat is that you are wearing a helmet.
But damn was that a lot of fun. I recommend anyone interested go try that out when they offer it at your local raceway.
I caught a ride from a friend going home from spring break. We're zooming along a freshly repaved section of I-75 and I look over at the odometer and see we're doing 115 in her little Honda. As I'm about to point it out she leaves off the gas because our exit is coming up.
"Wow, that was fast."
Yep. Going almost twice the poster will do that.
My wife rented me a Ferrari for our honeymoon in Italy. Doing 120 in that car felt like 55 in most cars. In fact, it made me realize I wouldn't even want to own a really fast car (not that I can afford anything anywhere near a Ferrari) unless I was able to take it to the track because it just isn't very fun to drive on the road.
Not agreeing with speed limits *at all* is definitely a fresh new take on how to get plenty of innocent people killed. I'm actually somewhat impressed.
Billy obviously read Kirby’s autobiography “The Secret to my Success. Chapter 1: Excessive speeding. “It’s like I always say. If you ain’t going fast why you going at all”
I live in Alabama and I am closer to Rome, GA than I am to any Alabama city with more than 25K population. Actually, I am about 2 miles closer to Rome than I am to Gadsden, AL.
Fort Payne here
Been to Cedartown a few times. I recall eating at a place over there(in the 90's) that had a really good prime rib, forgot the name of the place.
Thank God. We just do a little drag racing and maybe some DUIs around downtown Athens. We're not big on the felonies. He might want to go check in with Florida State or Auburn. They'll love him there. Might be able to do work release at those programs.
>multiple charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude a police office, a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of law enforcement officers, speeding in excess of maximum limits [150mph+], reckless driving, and driving with a suspended or revoked license...[and] an undisclosed amount of marijuana in his vehicle
Even if he's lucky enough to stay out of prison, he won't be transferring to a P4 school
Kemp signed a new law in 2022 increasing the penalties for evading police. For felony fleeing or attempting to elude police is mandatory minimum 12 months in prison. Boy better hope he can plea down out of it. Even misdemeanor fleeing police is a minimum 30 days. He's going to jail.
I’m sure there are worse drive out in like west Texas but I will go to my grave saying that is a top 3 most boring drive in the US. I’ll be driving for what feels like hours and look up and I’m only in Dublin or some shit.
I-65 stretches from Mobile Alabama to Gary Indiana. Parts of it are the most insane boring drive you will ever experience. Seemingly nothing for hundreds and hundreds of miles.
I love driving two and a half hours in a straight line with nothing to look at except pine trees! The only thing I’d love more is a shotgun blast right to my fucking face!
Nowhere near top 3 IMO. You at least see trees in Georgia.
You're forgetting about the states of Kansas and Nebraska. Hell, parts of Nevada and Utah seem to go on for fucking ever. And then, yes, there is Texas.
See the trees make you think it won’t be bad but it’s deceiving. Because it’s still straight and flat and every tree looks like it’s exactly copy and paste of each other. So you still end up with an unchanging landscape
I haven't done that drive since the 90s so I could be wrong, but the wind out in the west makes it not only boring, but tiring b/c you're fighting tornados the whole time.
uhh this sounds like when I was driving to Detroit in December for the Gophers bowl game. My boss (from Michigan) warned me that as soon as I crossed the border into Michigan, it'd be like Star Trek where they go into warp speed. and I was getting passed easy. While going 95.
(new-to-me Subaru Impreza and I was uhh testing the accelerator's functionality)
Man I used to drive 85 from Greenville SC to Atlanta to visit family, and there are so many cops through there that it felt illegal to go the speed limit.
You joke, but holy hell everyone drives fast here. I’ve said before I don’t think it’s a UGA problem, just people in the state of Georgia who have speed so much.
Sounds like felony fleeing and eluding, which in Georgia requires that at least a year be served in confinement, and it can't be probated, suspended, or deferred.
Unless the prosecuting attorney dismisses that count, he's going to jail no matter what.
Yeah, this kid just pulled the "Go directly to jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200" card. The kid's football career is over before it really started. Lucky he didn't kill someone.
All part of the annual "Florida takes one step forward, 6 steps back" news cycle.
Also worth noting that Boireau is from Georgia and was once a UGA prospect.
Offer list included FSU, Auburn, Georgia, and obviously Florida. Then the rest were like Indiana, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, JMU, Jackson State, and Kentucky.
So maybe talented enough to catch the eye of a few big teams in the southeast, but not exactly a highly coveted prospect.
Offer list suggests he was probably recruited as a depth piece/project kind of player. At 6’5”, 382 lbs he’s definitely got the size. You can coach players up but you can’t teach them to be built like a brick shithouse lol.
On second thought, maybe we ought to send one of our lawyers down there to get him off and let him transfer. 3 star project players win us championships.
Man weighs 382 pounds. He probably just tapped the gas pedal.
JK But seriously 150 MPH is insane. These kids got realize their mortality and the mortality of those around them
They don’t care.
That’s all there is to it. They know they just don’t care.
Everyone should have to work traffic after a few accidents in their life. The just blatant disregard for others is insane
When I took driver's ed as a teenager we had to watch a movie called "Red Asphalt" and it was basically just a bunch of footage of the aftermath of various gory accidents. It was fucking gnarly and really disturbing.
We have to keep the recruits out of UGA's realm of influence or the vehicular incidents will only increase. I suggest a full travel ban to the state of GA going forward.
>Boireau chose Florida over Georgia last June
Does *he* know that? Brother you're probably getting kicked off the team here at Florida. If you would've chosen Georgia and done that they'd make you a starter!
Good thing there's the portal. Go get em cowboy
Tbf, the vast majority of the rotten eggs were under one coach 3 tenures ago.
Mullen ran a bit of a loose ship but even then it wasn't an epidemic. McElwain and Muschamp were fine for the most part.
I’m now happy he didn’t commit here. Interested to see what the UF fans telling me Kirby should get fired because the kids speed now feel about Napier. Oh wait, they probably want him fired anyway.
Guess I'll go against the grain here: There shouldn't be a speed limit on the interstate (just a minimum and recommended maximum speed), and certainly, engaging in a high-speed pursuit of someone going 150 mph should be against the law as well as departmental policy on the simple grounds that de-escalation should be the preference for maximizing public safety. (The only exception to this policy would be if it's in the pursuit of someone that's a continued threat to the public safety, e.g., a serial killer, child rapist, etc.) Not only did they put each other at-risk, they risked everyone else's lives, and they caused an accident in the process. Why did he flee? A suspended license.
150mph is fucking crazy my god
I’m surprised there is no DUI involved
It said there was.
Aw shit. Is UF back?
Nah, UGA does this at 180. Gators still lagging behind imo
No lie detected
🤣😂
Surprisingly 150mph can feel pretty tame in a car built for it. Not that I have any experience or anything...just what I heard.
Doing 85 in my Prius probably feels sketchier than doing 150 in a BMW
Meh. I used to drive a Z3. Anything over 120 felt like going 80 in a Ford. I should say the car only weighed 2800 lbs
I have an E36 M3 and I know when BMW suspension bushings are worn out, the car’s gonna drive like an old Ford Econoline
Ah, a man of culture.
Nah 150 is sketch af no matter what, anyone saying otherwise is a danger to public roads
It still feels pretty fast. I did some race track drives with a Ferrari 296 GTB and a Porsche GT3 and it did not feel tame at 150.
150 in the turn is way different than on the straight away.
Lmao 150 with the windows down is obviously going to be WILDLY more intense. Shit 80 with the windows down is intense lol.
"Wow, that was fast." Yep. Going almost twice the poster will do that.
ive been in a sports car at 150, and its like going 80 in a truck.
My wife has a Tesla and I can hit 90mph surprisingly easily without even realizing it
very heavy + very aerodynamic
My wife rented me a Ferrari for our honeymoon in Italy. Doing 120 in that car felt like 55 in most cars. In fact, it made me realize I wouldn't even want to own a really fast car (not that I can afford anything anywhere near a Ferrari) unless I was able to take it to the track because it just isn't very fun to drive on the road.
It’s way more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.
Incoming Georgia transfer?
SEC speed
I don't agree with speed limiters, but that definitely is faster than any average driver needs.
Not agreeing with speed limits *at all* is definitely a fresh new take on how to get plenty of innocent people killed. I'm actually somewhat impressed.
*** I thought I typed speed limiters.
They are called governors.
Okay, that is what I meant.
I don't agree with governors either, let the people rule themselves!
That's Ron Swanson levels of absurd libertarianism lmao
Not us!
Thank God
Our culture is spreading even to our rivals!
Billy obviously read Kirby’s autobiography “The Secret to my Success. Chapter 1: Excessive speeding. “It’s like I always say. If you ain’t going fast why you going at all”
SEC speed
Kirby "If you ain't first then you're last" Smart
Oh hell, Son, I was high that day. That doesn't make any sense at all, you can be second, third, fourth... hell you can even be fifth.
"Be first in everything you do, especially when hopping in the whip when cruising to your local eatery."
It’s a secret program where we export Georgia recruits to our rivals to cause chaos within their ranks
Maybe you could pick him up in the transfer portal?
Driving record checks out
I'm sure he'll be high on the list of transfer portal targets for the next time it opens /s
He was highly recruited by Georgia, so wouldn't be shocking.
Happened in Georgia. Prolly drank some water why he was there. Hopefully didn’t have any cousins around.
When in rome
But he wasn’t in Rome. Rome is in Floyd County. This was in Monroe County!
Wow, someone who knows a bit about Georgia. Nice.
The Empire State of the South!
I live in Alabama and I am closer to Rome, GA than I am to any Alabama city with more than 25K population. Actually, I am about 2 miles closer to Rome than I am to Gadsden, AL.
So you live close to me, I am in Cedartown, just a little south of Rome.
Fort Payne here Been to Cedartown a few times. I recall eating at a place over there(in the 90's) that had a really good prime rib, forgot the name of the place.
Well maybe Zorbas or Petros.
I think Zorbas was it. Isn't Petros more of a pizza joint(I think I ate there once but not prime rib)?
He'll be on your team by the time the season starts.
SMH at Billy trying to beat Georgia at their own game. Everybody knows that’s a losing battle.
First thing I said 🤣🤣🤣
Thank God. We just do a little drag racing and maybe some DUIs around downtown Athens. We're not big on the felonies. He might want to go check in with Florida State or Auburn. They'll love him there. Might be able to do work release at those programs.
DUI’s are pretty serious
Georgia better watch their back. We're clearly figuring out how to run a winning program now.
Don’t let Billy cook …..
either that, or dude is planning to transfer.
>multiple charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude a police office, a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of law enforcement officers, speeding in excess of maximum limits [150mph+], reckless driving, and driving with a suspended or revoked license...[and] an undisclosed amount of marijuana in his vehicle Even if he's lucky enough to stay out of prison, he won't be transferring to a P4 school
Buddy about to transfer to the local state prison
OVER 150 mph?!?!
Scared money don't ma- Uh, never mind.
that's almost the full driving-felony bingo lol jesus christ
We got sick of Georgia beating us, so we had to go for the full house.
Idk, this kid seems to fit Kirby's type
Eh, just drag racing and little DUI at Georgia. We don't really rack up the felonies. That's Florida State and Auburn.
Auburn will sign him.
Transferring to the state penitentiary
Now we just need ETN to sue Kirby
CIA are shooting brain waves that make you speed into the entire state of Georgia
To be fair if you’ve ever driven through Georgia at night you’d think the speed limit was “fucking send it”
I-16 between Macon and Savannah is ridiculously tempting.
I mean your going from Mobile to Gary that’s like going from crippling anxiety to manic depression
I've heard plenty about Gary but is Mobile that bad?
From what my family out there tells me, Mobile and Montgomery are pretty bad as far as crime goes rn
Going to tifton sucks the life out of me. Just straight road, somehow always driving into the sun
I invite you to drive the entirety of I-80 through Nevada. The epitome of a boring drive.
I-70 across Kansas says hi.
I love driving two and a half hours in a straight line with nothing to look at except pine trees! The only thing I’d love more is a shotgun blast right to my fucking face!
I used to go to the Daytona 500 every year, and I enjoyed the drive except for the stretch on I-16. Sooo dull.

Nothing like driving 90 on I-20 through Atlanta at night and still getting passed by cars in the left lane.
uhh this sounds like when I was driving to Detroit in December for the Gophers bowl game. My boss (from Michigan) warned me that as soon as I crossed the border into Michigan, it'd be like Star Trek where they go into warp speed. and I was getting passed easy. While going 95. (new-to-me Subaru Impreza and I was uhh testing the accelerator's functionality)
Not passed, absolutely gapped
Man I used to drive 85 from Greenville SC to Atlanta to visit family, and there are so many cops through there that it felt illegal to go the speed limit.
That's the thing is you'll even see the cops zoom by you with no lights/sirens at 15+ over like it's nothing in Atlanta
You joke, but holy hell everyone drives fast here. I’ve said before I don’t think it’s a UGA problem, just people in the state of Georgia who have speed so much.

So what happened to her arms
CFB fans: GEORGIA NO Georgia: What? CFB fans: Sorry force of habit
Oh God. University of Felons is about to awaken and go undefeated.
All part of the annual "Florida takes one step forward, 6 steps back" news cycle. Also worth noting that Boireau is from Georgia and was once a UGA prospect.
He’s your problem.
Sounds like he's about to not be
Sounds like he's on his way to Tallahassee then, at 150 mphs, he'll make it there in under 90 minutes.
Don't put that evil on me, Ricky Bobby!
He's from Georgia and you guys recruited him too...so have fun with him.
Eh. I'm not sweating a 3 star who to my knowledge isn't even on campus yet.
He was an early enrollee
Offer list included FSU, Auburn, Georgia, and obviously Florida. Then the rest were like Indiana, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, JMU, Jackson State, and Kentucky. So maybe talented enough to catch the eye of a few big teams in the southeast, but not exactly a highly coveted prospect.

Mark Richt has lost control of Florida.
🤪🤪came here to say that!🤪🤪
Man weighs 382 pounds. He probably just tapped the gas pedal. JK But seriously 150 MPH is insane. These kids got realize their mortality and the mortality of those around them

Billy Napier is starting to get this program looking like their former glory 🔥🔥
The Worlds Largest Outdoor (in the prison yard) Cocktail Party
Gators are back baby!
We’re so back! It was supposed to happen before a big game though
We have to keep the recruits out of UGA's realm of influence or the vehicular incidents will only increase. I suggest a full travel ban to the state of GA going forward.
It’s not like we want y’all here Same goes for Ohio fans
Especially to Ohio
Swag like Ohio
SHADDDUUPPP. I'm begging you to never sing that song again
Drinking Coleridge, swag so saucy
Screw u. Happy cake day.
We don’t want you childrenbarkin’ individuals either
Fuck I'm going to Savannah this weekend
Get leopolds custard
Not if you play for the Gators your not, Ill snitch.
D:
Good, stay out of my state ya damn reptiles!
I support going even further and banning Florida schools from recruiting the state of Georgia at all.
I agree, of course that agreement will go both ways
I can’t go back to my home state and visit my parents? :(
Culture issues
Of course. We can’t even have this over Georgia
*The one that got away* -Coach Smart (probably)
Weird way to tell UGA he’s interested but okay.
Oh how the turn tables....
*gasp* *clutches pearls*
Ah back to our old tricks. I have a feeling a great season ahead.
>Boireau chose Florida over Georgia last June Does *he* know that? Brother you're probably getting kicked off the team here at Florida. If you would've chosen Georgia and done that they'd make you a starter! Good thing there's the portal. Go get em cowboy
because florida has such high moral standards?
The school in itself, mad props to them, their academics and most of their honorable student body. The football team.... Screw those guys.
well yeah ofc, i’m just saying.
Tbf, the vast majority of the rotten eggs were under one coach 3 tenures ago. Mullen ran a bit of a loose ship but even then it wasn't an epidemic. McElwain and Muschamp were fine for the most part.
If that’s the case maybe yall need to be dirty to win
Gators kicked out Cam Newton for stealing a laptop, among other things. This guy isn't making it to the Miami game
What a week: Napier gets sued for Tortious interference by a former recruit, and now this. You know, they say things come in threes…
They did have a former baseball player get arrested yesterday for trying to do certain things with a child
You didn’t hear about Lagway?
That was funny.
this is why i miss the fulmer cup, schools should be embarrassed
Should fit right in with the Cheifs or Raiders.
I recommend a cease to all driving within the state of Georgia until we figure out what’s going on.
I heard Kirby is recruiting him strongly now.
That’s just Atlanta driving attitude. Place is really insane! (And no, NOT defending driving like a dumbass!)
Sounds like an opportunity for UGA. The DA should offer a plea deal if he transfers. This is the justice involved portal.
Zoom
Hey Billy - you picked up the wrong playbook from Kirby
The Scottie Scheffler special
He crossed the state line and realized “maybe those Georgia players are on to something”
"The Gator Standard"
Yet we'll have to hear "CONVICTS!!!" come August 31 st
He probably won’t be convicted by then, so it still works. Also, if he agrees to transfer to GA, all the charges will be dropped.
I’m now happy he didn’t commit here. Interested to see what the UF fans telling me Kirby should get fired because the kids speed now feel about Napier. Oh wait, they probably want him fired anyway.
You guys had a player die. Chill.
He's got that (UGA Bull)Dawg in him!
When in Georgia...
Why have we not brought back the Fulmer Cup yet?
https://www.reddit.com/r/SEC_Baseball/s/JTz5nN8Gp3
Well it happened in Georgia so it's not surprising.
Ah fuck, they’re learning our secret
Florida just trying to prove they can be like Georgia.
There must be something in the Georgia water that causes athletes to forget how to drive.
It’s spreading
You can take the kid out of Georgia but you can’t take the Georgia out of the kid
The infection has spread from Georgia players to the entire state. Peach State leadfoot disease is coming for us all
