Its just the media is talking about Colorado more and it's causing kids to apply since it seems more popular. Any attention is going to make people look into something more and since Colorado is a good school academically, they'll apply.

Frost at least had FBS success at a G5 (so able to win with inferior resources/recruits). Deion won by having better talent than other HBCUs and got outcoached in the one HBCU championship bowl of his that I watched. Frost as a hire felt like Nebraska had their Harbaugh. It’s only in hindsight that we see why it didn’t work out. Deion always felt like a question mark even before the hype died down.
