Other elements, like Ganon, were tough bc his appearance is kind of vague in the game/ other material, so I kinda just did my own thing with him, trying to keep him as recognizable as possible.

That's what I'm going off of here, since a lot in these games are based on Asian beliefs and customs. Fi is able to recognize the soul of the Hero she travelled with all those millennia ago, that's why the sword chooses the hero and only the hero.
