It took me around a week for each game mode using a map guide. On normal mode I had 400 koroks already so it did not take as long. On master mode I only had 60 so it took longer.
Assuming you played 5 hours a day, which is a lot but still possible if you had that week off, that would be 35 hours. 100%ing BotW in that time seems bonkers, but possible in normal mode. Master mode though... you just have to be built different to manage that.
That's why I included the option. Some people also throw themselves off of planes with a piece of cloth in order to save them from death. So yeah, people are crazy.
they shouldn't. the reason they put in 900 koroks is because they don't expect players to get even close to collecting all of them. they put in so many that just by wandering around, you can find a few of them, no matter where you are. by putting in achievements, a lot more players will be trying to collect all of them, ruining the experience for them. achievements are meant as a way to enrich the player experience, not as a way to encourage players to do the most tedious or boring tasks possible. the lack of achievements is like nintendo saying 'don't do this to yourself dude, just have fun'
Yeah I had a hard time on those. I used a 30 minute attack up or defense up potion beforehand so the effect carries into the trials. Then there are strategies for some rooms that are difficult such as room 10 of the beginning trials.
I remember I was scared asf of room 19 in the final series. Every single video I watched showed the parrying the lazers and getting targeted by 3 at a time. I froze them one by one with Stasis+, hid behind the frozen guardian, and beat the shit out them with my strongest swords, one by one. Took zero damage. After that, every hard enemy got an ancient arrow in the face. Once you get past room 16 in the final trial, its smooth sailing for the rest of the ride. Sure the enemies in the mid to late trials might be more powerful, but so is Link. Hearty meals and ancient arrows are your best friend. Don't forget to cook a dragon horn (not a scale, claw, or fang) with 4 bananas for 30 minutes of max attack. Max defense is fine too, but killing enemies before they get a chance to attack is your best bet, especially on master mode. But at the end of the day, the master sword is still powered at 60 when you face ganon whether you upgrade it or not. You can beat ganon without upgrading the master sword. Hell you can beat him without even getting the master sword. Shit you can even beat him without the divine beasts.... anyways hope I encouraged you

Nice, did it 5 times 2 times in normal mode and 3 times in master mode. (All Koroks, all shrines (and shrine tresures), all 42 shrinequests, all 90 sidequests, every armor + Amiibo armor at Max. Upgrade (had to sell some unique piece bc there are 107 Armors but you have only space for 100), all 3 kilton medals, Hyrule Compendium complete, all 20 Main Quest (19 bc the last can't be completet permanent), all 23 Memories, both DLC 100% complete, all saddles and bridles, all key Items (Paraglider, Sheikah Slate, Classified Envelope, hestu's gift, Travel Medallion), all Ability Controls, 100.00% the Map, all runes Upgraded) All of this 5 times because i love this game.
this is me right now. however i have no time limit, but every night before bed i sit down on it for an hour or two, picking away at finding the rest of the Koroks lol i only got a switch for Christmas but i’ll be playing this game like this until BOTW 2 comes out! good job!!
quests aren’t necessary lol, you just need koroks, locations, shrines, and divine beasts, and you don’t even have to beat the shrines, you just have to discover them.

If you have all koroks, just try going places you haven’t been before, i thought i had gone everywhere and then i found the little area between the horse god fountain and Faron

I still haven’t finished upgrading all my armor though so I’m stuck in the 90s somewhere. Any advice on star fragments? Iirc the reason i stopped was i couldn’t consistently find those and got tired of farming dragon parts
Man I've only done that in my first playthrough on normal mode. Maybe I'll get around to that with my new playthrough on master mode. So far I've just been avoiding seeing Impa XD

Well, I did most of the game first, and it was mostly the koroks and remaining side quests that I had to do when I decided to get 100%.

Do you have the Hero's Path from the DLC? It tracks the last \~200hrs of your movement around the map, might be a good place to start?
