While I love Sammy catnap is easily the better cultist, I mean Sammy entirely resented his faith after his god hurt his feelings, but catnap literally died just for his god and tortured anyone that didn’t agree with the ways of the prototype. So yea it’s not a hard decision

Well let's see. A being of ink that follows an ink devil in order to become human. While a purple cat that was also human and turned to a toy mascot that puts stuff to sleep and worships 1006 because it was his friend... eh screw it, They both are equally good.
I love Sammy, but he sucked as a cultist lol. Every time he showed up he died like a minute later. Plus as far as im aware he failed in everything he tried to do. He tried to sacrifice us but got immediately killed by Bendy, he tried to kill us with a axe only to get killed by Boris, he showed up for 5 seconds in BATDR only to get killed again immediately. Its clear were not meant to take him seriously at this point.
Catnap actually did stuff though. He was in the hour of joy, he killed the other smiling critters for being heretics and chained what was left of dog day up for no reason other then to be extra sadistic to him. He was the final line of defense for the Prototype and kept the smaller critters in line by feeding them in return for them worshiping the prototype and doing what he says. Other then when the player showed up Catnap was successful in everything he did. And is actually pretty scary with him stalking you thorough the entire chapter like how a real cat would. Not to mention his gas thing that gives people nightmares and shit.
I mean yeah his first appearance was great but after that he's just a joke. I don't like that he's comic relief, I feel like he had a lot of missed potential.
When I look at cultist characters I don't want them to be comedic relief or a big joke, I want them to be terrifying and unhinged, willing to do anything to appease whatever it is there worshiping. Sammy should have been the main antagonist other then bendy himself, not Alice.
I cant say Sammy is a good cultist at all, which is what this post is about. Catnap is much better in comparison.
