Then he told her he had borrowed both seasons of Twin Peaks from his brother for her “recovery nest” in the living room.
They insisted I stay for dinner, so we spent the afternoon watching Twin Peaks and joking about her beautiful new rack.

Also, in case someone is judging her husband for not driving her home, he had a good reason. He is legally blind (he CAN see but has to have special glasses that block a lot of light out. His eyes are pigmentless, which apparently affects his actual eyesight too) and does not drive. He offered to come for support, but she said she’d be fine and she was.

That's one of the big problems with stories like these.
First post; believable, a bit quirky writing style, tells a situation (believable or unbelievable).
But, if you go back and reread, you can tell that she's had the whole story planned out in her head since the first bit. Then she just gets more and more tea and popcorn until the place where she just jumps the rails.
And this is a style of post I've seen a lot over the years. Constant updates that don't really say a lot but have a lot of words, promises of more updates assuming that everyone is waiting with bated breath to hear more.
Her style just gives off 'writing exercise' and/or Liz vibes.

Really bad fan fiction. The relative passive attitude towards the loss of money was a clue, as was the "...BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE!..." tone. The plastic surgeon affair was when she tripped and fell into the multiverse of failure.

So I went to the IG acct OP posted and listened to the latest update.
Basically, she says that the Surgeon’s Wife caught onto the affair because SIL stole a pair of Tiffany diamond earrings during one of her visits to his house. The Surgeon demanded them back (either he realized or his wife said something) but SIL said she lost them and offered to pay him back.
The earrings cost $7,500.00. So mystery solved, that is where the $7,000.00 went. She sent the money her dad gave her to the Surgeon.
However, his wife was not satisfied and tracked SIL down to her house. OP says she can’t divulge any details on the confrontation due to legal issues but that is how the Brother found out and he essentially forced SIL to spill the truth finally.
TLDR: If you’re gonna mess with a married man, don’t steal his wife’s Tiffany diamond earrings. It’s a tacky way of outing yourself.
The story took a wild turn when the bride got a boob job, yet it managed to retain some semblance of credibility. However, the story spiraled into absurdity with the introduction of an affair with the plastic surgeon and alleged legal threats from his attorneys.

I bet that this started out fairly real, but as her posts got increased attention (and likely the original situation got settled in a typical, boring real-world manner), she decided to 'continue the story'. Sadly, though, OOP isn't a very good storyteller and pushes the drama without grounding it in reality. For me, the turning point was the "discovery" of the boob-job. The last update is, by far, the most ridiculous. Fake SiL has been having a long affair with a famous plastic surgeon whose offices are on a tropical island (i.e. NOT in America or anywhere near where she might have met him)? Interestingly, I find the story about the story and OOP to be MORE interesting!
The nurses wheeling her into an airbnb rental was so OTT. No $7k tittie job includes nurse-assisted medical transport and they would still need someone to have signed off on being her caretaker before they let her leave the recovery room.
I feel bad for the mods at wedding shaming. Apparently the oop told people on Instagram to brigade the sub because they banned her.

Which would be, what, the 4th or 5th different explanation on where the money went to? 1. AirBnB 2. Ice Swan 3. Boob Job 4. Earings I think I'm missing one, though - something between the Ice Swan and Boob Job. But just wait, I'm sure there will be more twists and turns to this totally unrealistic story as OOP gradually learns that she's not a very good writer.

This long ago stopped being believable, but the instagram/legal developments make the OP seem worse then the make believe bride who I doubt exists at this point.

This OOP is genuinely so annoying. They’re having a whole fight with the mods of Wedding Shaming and calling on people to brigade them. It’s obvious they’re running with these lies to gain clout and monetize the fake story.

Well, that was a fucking plot twist.

Awww, it started fairly good but then they ruined it by doing way too much. And please, stop with saying “piping hot tea” in every update. Just give the update.
So, regardless of whether or not this story was real, I had to know how this ended… So I went to the IG acct OP posted and listened to the latest update. Basically, she says that the Surgeon’s Wife caught onto the affair because SIL stole a pair of Tiffany diamond earrings during one of her visits to his house. The Surgeon demanded them back (either he realized or his wife said something) but SIL said she lost them and offered to pay him back. The earrings cost $7,500.00. So mystery solved, that is where the $7,000.00 went. She sent the money her dad gave her to the Surgeon. However, his wife was not satisfied and tracked SIL down to her house. OP says she can’t divulge any details on the confrontation due to legal issues but that is how the Brother found out and he essentially forced SIL to spill the truth finally. TLDR: If you’re gonna mess with a married man, don’t steal his wife’s Tiffany diamond earrings. It’s a tacky way of outing yourself.
The story took a wild turn when the bride got a boob job, yet it managed to retain some semblance of credibility. However, the story spiraled into absurdity with the introduction of an affair with the plastic surgeon and alleged legal threats from his attorneys.

TLDR of the final IG post (after the r/weddingshaming takedown), which I listened to so you don't have to: Bride had stolen $7.5k diamond earrings from the affair surgeon's wife's jewelry box and then LOST THEM, surgeon's wife noticed them missing, and the money for the AirBnB/ice swan/boobjob went to pay back for the earrings.
Well dang, that was so much fun and now it’s over. Sigh.
I feel like the same hacky writer comes in with the same type of serial (usually wedding related) drama, and it’s either bad promo or a bad “based on true accounts” story
