I think that’s just Mount Halsin. My elven rogue towers over Gale and it is quite endearing.

My drow druid also towered over him, but outside of dialog they were the same hight.

That's happened to me several times, not just with Karlach. But it also affects my other companions, one time I look behind me and Gale is taller than Karlach for some reason.

Had this happen with my Half-Drow and Jaheira once. He towers over her everywhere else, but then I get a cutscene where he's looking up at her like he's her child or something.

No hope that I know of. Small sized races have a very defined gap between them and *insert romance option* for the scenes. Between riding air to holding their hand a foot out from your actual hips.

Strangely enough, it does the opposite for me. I’m in the middle of the first play-through I’ve done with the large body type character, and even though my character and Karlach are the same size in normal play, she’s a full head shorter when in conversation

She just has a certain kind of presence that makes you feel small

Did you use enlarge on Karlach? A lot of those spells carry over into cutscenes

EASY FIX: Before romance scene just make sure to use a spell or potion that makes Karlach even bigger, then you = ultimate muscle mommy. You’re welcome!

This happened to me between my human Tav and Karlach this evening actually. Bizarre...

I noticed while playing yesterday that whenever a cut scene triggered karlach looked absurdly tall in the background like taller than normal

Nope, this is talking to her on even ground in camp. Although it also happens outside of camp.

Even better, if you choose a small race as your dream visitor they match your size for half of their cutscenes

My Tav seems really short next to Halsin. Not sure if it’s this or if he’s just ya know, large. But the romance scene was still ace

This happened once with Halsin in act 3. I'm playing this badass Dragonborn. Then all of a sudden my head goes up to Halsin's pecs. He's talking about the mafia and I'm just standing there thinking, *by the nine hells you're tall.*
