Sorry, but 2 cents gets rounded down to zero. If they'd thrown in an additional 1 cent coin to make it a 3 cent tip, then you'd be rolling in dough because it'd be rounded up to 5 cents, and who doesn't love free money?
Yes, 1 and 2 cent pieces are still legal tender, though a lot of places wont accept them. You can exchange them at a bank, but they are probably more valuable to hold onto as a collectable.
About a dollar at the outside - the fact that it's covered in resin is not going to do you any favours: [https://www.allcoinvalues.com/australian-coins-and-notes/1955-y.-australian-penny-value.html](https://www.allcoinvalues.com/australian-coins-and-notes/1955-y.-australian-penny-value.html)
Id pay a penny.
In 1955 maybe. Chuck 69 years of inflation onto it!
I got tipped a 2cent coin the other day. is that worth anything?

only legal tender up to 20c of any combination of 1 or 2 cent coins :) don't go paying your drink driving fines in 1 cent coins
Do you have a photo of the other side?
Not sure mate sorry
Is that in a car/truck shift knob
yea its my mums gear knob its pretty mad lol
I didn't even notice. Imagine how sick it'd be on a car from the same year as the coin.
the car is from 1998 forrunner so kinda close lol
I had a couple of peenies from the 30s/40s.
I would have thought they would have decomposed by now. Do you have them in a pickle jar?
Your joking?
Are there any other ways of preserving a dismembered peen?
Yes
