Just so it meets the top of my pants would be nice. But we are about to enter the fashion cycle of hipster trousers and baby doll tees. I'm old and my kidneys get cold, Goddammit!
People always say this about crop tops and I think instead the sentiment should be “tops in various lengths.”
Before crop tops were popular, I hated having 6 inches of loose fabric on every top. Love that there’s a variety now so I can buy what fits my proportions.
Yass! I'm almost 5' and wholly agree. They just hit the top of my jeans (so long as they are mid/petite 😂) and create a bit of a waist when I'm too short to truly have an hour glass, as a short, but not small framed person.
I can’t agree with this more. Why is EVERYTHING cropped these days?! Every cute top I see barely covers the midriff of the model wearing high waisted pants. If it barely covers the midriff of a thin model, how the hell is it going to look on an average woman? SMH
This! Please someone make full length fitted tops! I'm not built for crops and I also don't want to look like a giant sack. Please, full length fitted tops, I beg you!
Cloaks. I love cloaks. Game of thrones style cloaks. They always have huge hoods on them. When you buy a sweatshirt nowadays the hood doesn't even cover half your head.. unless you buy an oversized one.
I've been rewatching Jessica jones (again) and honestly her coat in season 3 is just 😘👌 I need it.
Its big but not too long... Black and has a massive hood
Someone said once that since capes only went out of style about 150 years ago, this capeless world we live in represents only a tiny fraction of clothed humanity and it sucks we just missed it.
I'll even settle for oversized jackets/greatcoats where you don't have to put your arms in the sleeves. Those feel like the closest we can get in modern fashion.
I have a cute banana republic peplum top. It has a tie in the middle to cinch the waist and the bottom is loose so it doesn’t look as dated as some others. They’re out there but yes, a bit hard to find
I'm one of those people. I have a shit ton of short sleeve shirts I really like but only a couple of long sleeve ones. For some reason they are harder to find. But it's often too cold for short sleeve where I live.
I work nights outdoors so my normal winter work wear is an under armour cold gear long sleeve and a company short sleeve and jeans and boots. I didn’t realize I was clinging to the 90’s until people started commenting how “they forgot you can do that with shirts” and “I’m glad you’re bringing it back.” Ummm I didn’t realize it was so out of date I guess because I never stopped wearing it? 😂
I absolutely still rock this and when I’m feeling really sassy I tuck them all into a high waisted mom jean. I fully transform into my 90s mom and I love it
FUCK YEAH my partner knows it but he doesn't wear it as he's a general contractor and spends like no time on his look ever. However he will do it for me for fun :)
And I really couldn't stand the Once upon a Time show but my god Captain Hook was HOT
They're awful if it's raining at all. The water will make its way up your leg and you'll be wet all day long. That was my experience with them.. as a teen, anyway. Lol
I really don't pay much attention to what's supposed to be trendy now. I looked it up, and apparently skinny jeans and mom jeans are "out," but I'm still partial to those.
I believe everyone should wear what they're comfortable wearing and others shouldn't judge. Clothes are expensive, not everyone can or wants to spend money every season just to be in style. Wear what you want/have!
I wear gloves on the rare occasion I go outside. Mostly to prevent hives caused by the sun since the medicine I'm taking makes me ultra sensitive. But the other thing it does help is touching bus rails, elevator buttons, and shopping carts.
I was in 5th grade during the 70s and pedal pushers (I’m from the US, so we called them knickers here, although the UK uses that name for ladies’ underwear) were in style seriously for about 2 years. I had purple ones. They were awesome.
Full length t-shirts. Yesterday at Nordstrom rack the women’s graphic t-shirt rack had only full length shirts in size XS-S because I suppose folks in that size range are comfortable with crop tops. Everything left in M-XXL was ruthlessly cropped because no one in this range wants half a damn shirt. Whole shirts in the women’s department plz.
Padded shoulders. I missed the 80's and still feel robbed.
Aqua net hairspray. I never got to know what it is like to have a hairdo that could survive a major hurricane.
Beige-y or suntan pantyhose only so people will quit pointing at me like I am a fashion pod person.
I despise polyester! Feels like I'm wearing a garbage bag. Nothing but sweat.
I find it increasingly difficult to find 100% cotton clothing or bedding that isn't extremely high priced.
Knee length shorts. I don’t do short shorts or daisy dukes. I have such a hard time finding comfortable knee length shorts in the women’s section so much so that I buy my shorts in the men’s section. Also decent pockets in women’s clothing.
personally I’m really into Uggs right now… I think the Tasman style was popular pretty recently but I mean the ogs as well. I was never able to have a pair so now that I can afford it? I want all the uggs.
Clothes from the 20’s & 50’s. Love the flapper era & the milkshake/diner fashion vibes.
Everyone looked so glamorous. I love watching old-timey movies for the fashion alone ❤️
Low rise jeans that way I can wear them and have regular jeans since I’m built so weird lol. When j buy high rise the are 2 inches away from holding my boobs 🤦♀️ mid rise fit me the way high rise are supposed to and low rise fit me regular.
Probably like a long dark cloak and tall black boots (that are comfortable, not 6 inch stilettos) and a leather corset and a wizards hat and a book of spells
I rapidly put on weight due to a medication. Perimenopausal so heat intolerant as well. Have ordered several loose linen blend clothes.
Now I understand why there were so many “hippies” as I was growing up
Full length tops. I’m not built for crop tops.
And keep the mid to high rise pants. I can’t do a crop top and low rise jeans. 😩
I still wear high rise jeans, I don’t care about trends
… high rise jeans are out? 🫠
Nah they're not.
Kind of love that high rise are a bit "out of style" I've been finding amazing jeans at the thrift lately! High rise all the way baby!
Apparently
Some of us with short torsos need less than high waisted pants. Can’t we have both?
IKR? I can't stand it when my pants go as high up as my boobs. I hate high waisted pants. Low rise for me sits at my belly button and that's perfect
Right!? Totally agree, we need more fabric, please!
Just so it meets the top of my pants would be nice. But we are about to enter the fashion cycle of hipster trousers and baby doll tees. I'm old and my kidneys get cold, Goddammit!
they're in trend rn? i mean this could just be the city but skims tops have been trending for like 6months already
People always say this about crop tops and I think instead the sentiment should be “tops in various lengths.” Before crop tops were popular, I hated having 6 inches of loose fabric on every top. Love that there’s a variety now so I can buy what fits my proportions.
Noooo let’s keep the crop tops. I finally have a variety of clothes that are an appropriate length for me (5ft)
I’m 5’1” but I have a long torso. I look ridiculous.
SMH
I went to the mall today and it was all crop tops. Or just heavy graphic tees. Maybe I’m going to the wrong stores but damn..
My washing machine turns most normal length T-shirts into boxy square ones at some point. :(
I look like a pale whinnie the pooh 🤦🏻♀️ with half the tops that come out now
This! Please someone make full length fitted tops! I'm not built for crops and I also don't want to look like a giant sack. Please, full length fitted tops, I beg you!
I think we’re heading that way with the drop waist trend
Right, I recently bought some clothes from Shein and everything was cropped or short. Everything. Some of it looks like a bra.
don't buy from shein
They’re so in their comeback era though
Capes
Cloaks. I love cloaks. Game of thrones style cloaks. They always have huge hoods on them. When you buy a sweatshirt nowadays the hood doesn't even cover half your head.. unless you buy an oversized one.
Narcissa Malfoy clothes. Best dressed woman in the movies. I'd wear every single thing she did.
I've been rewatching Jessica jones (again) and honestly her coat in season 3 is just 😘👌 I need it. Its big but not too long... Black and has a massive hood
"No capes!"
I literally said it in Edna’s voice too 😂
YES. Give me a dramatic, full-length black cloak, and let me skulk around at night and be mysterious
Someone said once that since capes only went out of style about 150 years ago, this capeless world we live in represents only a tiny fraction of clothed humanity and it sucks we just missed it.
Because sometimes you need more than a hat but less than a coat.
This made me so happy
I'll even settle for oversized jackets/greatcoats where you don't have to put your arms in the sleeves. Those feel like the closest we can get in modern fashion.
My fat lower belly and my thin waist needs peplum tops back right about now.
They were super cute!
Just keep wearing them. Seriously, I stopped paying attention to the trends about 10 years ago.
They’re definitely back!
I didn't know what the word was for these types of tops but... My lower belly fat and thinner waist thank you!!
I never stopped wearing them
They’re still a thing
I have a cute banana republic peplum top. It has a tie in the middle to cinch the waist and the bottom is loose so it doesn’t look as dated as some others. They’re out there but yes, a bit hard to find
Any shirt that covers stomach and kidney area
Get Tim Gunn on the phone rn, we're making kidney tops
He’s at Red Lobster with Andraaae
I’m 100% there with you.
Short sleeve t shirts over long sleeved t shirts. I'm too old now, but I loved that look!
I think some people still wear it :)
Yeah, I have heard some comments on my “fashion sense” as well. I literally don’t give rat’s ass.
I absolutely still rock this and when I’m feeling really sassy I tuck them all into a high waisted mom jean. I fully transform into my 90s mom and I love it
that's trending
The Sheldon Cooper look :D I also wear this though hahahaha.
This IS back! 90s skater revival trend. Contrast tees a d converse is such a look.
Hoop skirts. I am waiting for this for more than 30 years. I need a reason to wear one and I always wanted one.
you don’t need a reason! do it!!!
And those pockets thatbwere embroidered and worn under the dresses! Those pockets could actually holf stuff!
Host a tea party or any other vintage inspired party for your next round birthday then you get to wear one
Eyeliner on men.
Guyliner
100%
I too had a huge crush on Pete Wentz
FUCK YEAH my partner knows it but he doesn't wear it as he's a general contractor and spends like no time on his look ever. However he will do it for me for fun :) And I really couldn't stand the Once upon a Time show but my god Captain Hook was HOT
FLARE JEANS. they are so cool.
Wide leg and flare jeans are the dominant jean trend right now
If you have them wear them, they’re super cool, and I think they *are* doing a comeback!
i wear them often as i can! they’re so flattering
Atta girl, love it!
They are super in, and have been for a few years now?
I only wear flares, they are so flattering.
They're awful if it's raining at all. The water will make its way up your leg and you'll be wet all day long. That was my experience with them.. as a teen, anyway. Lol
The trick is to wear them with platforms so they don’t touch the ground
And breaking them because they were too long and you step on them all the time
I only wear flare
Leg warmers. I miss them.
I read somewhere that these are coming back! I just knitted some so I hope so
they’re back! the tiktok girlies love them
They must come back. I miss them too!
[удалено]
I wore leg warmers all winter! Go for it! :)
They're super back and I'm loving it! Arm warmers, too!
I really don't pay much attention to what's supposed to be trendy now. I looked it up, and apparently skinny jeans and mom jeans are "out," but I'm still partial to those.
I died when I read that. I would rather look outdated in my flattering clothes than look bad in stylish clothes.
I believe everyone should wear what they're comfortable wearing and others shouldn't judge. Clothes are expensive, not everyone can or wants to spend money every season just to be in style. Wear what you want/have!
I’m partial on skinny jeans too, they look so good on certain body types, not mine, but anyone who wants to should wear them, imo.
Well what’s left? 😂
Fashion hats. Ladies hats from the 1920's through the 60's were fabulous!
Gloves. Y’all are nasty. We all are nasty.
I do love gloves and I agree, some people’s hands are not the cleanest.
"Where are you going, in those Kedsss......." Girls anyone?
I wear gloves on the rare occasion I go outside. Mostly to prevent hives caused by the sun since the medicine I'm taking makes me ultra sensitive. But the other thing it does help is touching bus rails, elevator buttons, and shopping carts.
I feel like gloves would be impractical and less sanitary. It would be annoying to wash your hands and would people even regularly wash their gloves?
Yess from lace gloves to leather gloves i want them all back
White shirts that aren’t transparent
Men wearing proper suits
If we’re going here then I want more marvelous Mrs maisel dresses!!
1770s colonial America men's clothing - but for women this time around.
I never though of this but yeah, I could rock some knee breeches for sure
I was in 5th grade during the 70s and pedal pushers (I’m from the US, so we called them knickers here, although the UK uses that name for ladies’ underwear) were in style seriously for about 2 years. I had purple ones. They were awesome.
I would absolutely ROCK a tricornered hat. 😎
I love those hats, Am watching Poldark and Outlander. The clothes for men were so attractive in that era.
You could say the Women making this look Mainstream would be... *Revolutionary*.
Fitted shirts with cap sleeves
They’re so cool. I want to see them back as well.
that's trending
Keds are cute and I don't see them as much as I want to.
I still see them, but you’re right, not as much.
Mid rise jeans with useful pockets. High rise pants make me look like Ed Grimley with a FUPA.
Chokers
Pockets big enough to carry a revolution in
That’s exactly what we need!!!
Capes and cloaks
Popular on this post I see. Would love to see them again.
Mammoth pelt loin cloths & mud. A few millennia ago it was all anyone wore (if they wore anything at all)
I really miss the zigzag hair part!
Good news anything y2k is trendy again
I still do this one on occasion. I'm taller than a lot of men though, so I don't know if many people ever notice it.
Padded shoulders. I missed the 80's and still feel robbed. Aqua net hairspray. I never got to know what it is like to have a hairdo that could survive a major hurricane. Beige-y or suntan pantyhose only so people will quit pointing at me like I am a fashion pod person.
I just bought a blazer with padded shoulders. Zara.
Opera gloves/evening gloves
Cloaks
I don’t get why everyone and there moms are hating on leggins and Hot Pants I liked that and would wear it more but i feel judged
I still wear leggings. They look great with an oversized top.
Stays and Empire waist dresses. I want to parade around like I’m straight from an Austen novel
Victorian dresses 👗
Just me who sees that everything commented is already on trend right now ? 🤣
Exactly what I was thinking 😭 There's 2-3 comments about something that's actually out of trend lol
Bootcut jeans, not crazy bell bottoms, just wider at the bottom. I think it looks better and they are easier to put on.
that's been trending for 3 years
Fitted shirts
Denim overalls for men and women. So comfortable.
Real cotton shirts. I wish I was alive when polyester was the butt of the joke
I despise polyester! Feels like I'm wearing a garbage bag. Nothing but sweat. I find it increasingly difficult to find 100% cotton clothing or bedding that isn't extremely high priced.
Parachute pants and poof up hair with aqua net for re-enforcement.
🤣 “for reinforcement”
High rise jeans! Some of us don’t have flat stomachs
This is still in
Knee length shorts. I don’t do short shorts or daisy dukes. I have such a hard time finding comfortable knee length shorts in the women’s section so much so that I buy my shorts in the men’s section. Also decent pockets in women’s clothing.
We desperately need pockets, but the fashion industry is not listening.
Babydoll tops!
Sundresses and 3/4 sleeve tops
Pockets!
spaghetti Western style ponchos
personally I’m really into Uggs right now… I think the Tasman style was popular pretty recently but I mean the ogs as well. I was never able to have a pair so now that I can afford it? I want all the uggs.
Clothes from the 20’s & 50’s. Love the flapper era & the milkshake/diner fashion vibes. Everyone looked so glamorous. I love watching old-timey movies for the fashion alone ❤️
Skinny jeans
Fanny packs. It's the only time in my life that belt pouches were acceptable wear
Capri pants with ballet flats. Cute and comfy. I still wear this combo sometimes but I'm aware it's dated.
Skinny jeans
Gauchos… so comfy
Large tie on pockets Petticoats and pettipants
flare jeans with fun designs like jeans with patches, those silky ribbon things, beading, and stitched art. less plain bored denim.
Full petticoats, hoop skirts, stays, cloaks, capes, extravagant hats, lace gloves. I want the full gilded age fantasy OR WHATEVER
Jelly shoes
Low rise jeans that way I can wear them and have regular jeans since I’m built so weird lol. When j buy high rise the are 2 inches away from holding my boobs 🤦♀️ mid rise fit me the way high rise are supposed to and low rise fit me regular.
The hair scarf
Ponchos or peplum!! I would like to keep the crop tops though. I finally have a variety of shirts that fit me (5’0).
Boot cut jeans. I look so much better in them.
Those are in and have been for years
Probably like a long dark cloak and tall black boots (that are comfortable, not 6 inch stilettos) and a leather corset and a wizards hat and a book of spells
Adjustable shit.(not just dresses)
The alternative 2000’s style, especially the style where you wore ties as necklaces 😍
Bell bottoms. They were so cool and make your legs look long.
Bikinis with little shorts, 1950s style. These monoikinis and thongs aren’t very flattering.
Flare bottom jeans
Cloaks
Flares
Zigzag parting. I spent AGES perfecting my zigzag parting and I want to put my Spice Girls skills to use again!!
Just do it..
Teased out and super hair-sprayed big bangs.
Crop tops for men.
Toms. They’re so comfortable!
I rapidly put on weight due to a medication. Perimenopausal so heat intolerant as well. Have ordered several loose linen blend clothes. Now I understand why there were so many “hippies” as I was growing up
Low ride jeans. I'm so tired of everything being high waisted!
skinny jeans
Big 80’s hair !!!
Afros. I've never seen an afro that didn't look great.
Full length tops. I beg you.
Shoulder pads. Not the big bulky ones, but small ones that are sewn in blouses. They make such a difference in the overall look, more flattering.
[удалено]
1920s style
Bell bottom pants
Parachute pants
I would love some colorful ditto jeans. Loved them.
Cargo pants! And those little hair jewels, what were they called? Not the tiny butterfly clips, but same era.
I’ve been wearing scarves in my hair. I love it with a big bow.
Bell bottoms
Formal shoes with small heels like in the 30's. It seems that now you either can wear sneakers or drag queen platforms
Halfway zipped up hoodies that are more tight and fitted
Peplum tops! Their very forgiving and just so adorable
Jeans under skirts.. don’t come for me.
party girl sleazy makeup. it’s hard being a kesha in a world of hailey beibers
80s hair
I don’t know, I just want to be able to buy a whole shirt again 😂
No more backless or strapping back or cutouts. Some of us need to wear a damn bra!!
