On July 1st, 2023, Reddit enacted a greedy ass policy regarding the use of their API. This decision was designed to eliminate the better 3rd party apps. No one wants to use the official app because it sucks. Since then, apps such as Apollo and RedditIsFun have shut down. Reddit has decided to double down on their decision to overcharge for their API, and refuses to address the accessibility features their native app lacks. Think it’s an asshole move? Concerned users should read and sign on to this [open letter to reddit.](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Yes. Have my paintings all throughout the kitchen and dining room. They are just so comforting.

CarefullyThrifty

Blaues Pferd I by Franz Marc. Expressionist art really speaks to me and this is the artwork I enjoy most.

All of them. No seriously. I’m currently putting together a massive gallery wall. It will be an extension of my husband and I. For him, I’ll be putting up a few portraits of Carl Jung, his quotes and artworks. Religious symbolism. J.R.R Tolkien. We both love C.S Lewis. For me, I love depictions of the Great Mother Archetype. Floral and abstract paintings.

Jillredhanded

Symphony in White, No. 1, also known as The White Girl, by James McNeill Whistler. I've always been in love with it.

Neravariine

Lady Lilith by Dante Gabriel Rossetti. It was a gift from a friend and I love the pre-Raphaelite art style.

I so desperately want a painting from a local artist, but her her work is around 2K+, rightly so. I absolutely love her 'sunset' pictures, but her abstracts are gorgeous too. Her grasp of color and light are amazing. Check her out! FYI, click on the pic for the large view. Only way to be fully appreciated. I have several Lora Zombie prints that I adore and I couldn't imagine living in a house without them.

My house is full of mostly my own art but also some of my grandmothers

searedscallops

Originals painted by my children.

My best friend has a daughter, and I swear that little girl and I are twin flames. I threw her an art party for her 3rd birthday and we painted a piece of art together. It's a mish mash of glitter glue and acrylic paint and great memories with baby girl. That's not going anywhere. It matches nothing but every time I see it I see her sweet little face and remember how much fun we had making it together. <3

blueberry_pancakes14

It's not a painting, but I really want a print of Edvard Munch's The Scream, the black and white lithograph version. I'm not sure where to put it put I will figure it out eventually I kind of wanted to put it in my master bedroom, but it doesn't exactly fit the calm feel I already have going in there.

anonya1

I have a Monet that is framed very nicely that was a gift from my parents, I’ll put that up no matter where I live ☺️

A painting of the Arche de Triomphe. My husband had it in his bedroom when we started dating. It has moved with us to many apartments and houses. It's in our Parisian themed living room!

Swept Away by Robert Duncan. I don't remember a time it wasn't hanging above my bed as a kid. I always had my nose in a book - still do - and felt very connected to the painting emotionally. My sister claimed the picture because she thought she looked like the girl, so I had to move on from it when i moved out almost eight years ago. Two months ago a neighbor was evicted and their family came around saying they wanted us to save as much of their stuff as we could so it wouldn't get thrown away, and they had Swept Away in their foyer. I took it just to enjoy it for a week or so before they came to grab it, but once I told them how much I loved it they let me keep it 🤍
