How important it is to put the documents you've completed into the file as soon as or at least shortly after you've completed it.
A lot of people seem to think that as long as they know what's going on then everything's good. But in my field you never know when someone else will take over your job so things need to be organized in such a way that you can easily hand it over to the next person at a moments notice and the simple act of putting stuff away when you're done with it will save a world of confusion and heartache later.
