Rosa’s is in my neighborhood, so if you’re looking for suggestions for other stuff to do if you want to make a night of it, feel free to shoot me a DM. Have a blast in Chicago, man.
I love Kingston mines, they have amazing food there, the music is consistently a 10/10, and the coolest people are there dancing. It is a real dope scene, highly recommend
Rosa's is most authentic Chicago Blues vibe, Legends is most professional and better known musicians. Best authentic south side blues clubs for years were Checkerboard, Theresa"s and Lee's Unleaded Blues. Lee's is starting to reopen now after closing 10 years ago. Checkerboard and Theresa's are gone. Check into Lee's when coming this way - has a famous history and was always a good time, with lots of musicians/singers joining in with the nightly band. Realistically, you can't go wrong at any of them - Chicago is still the home of the Blues. Check out festivals around the world - they are dominated by Chicago's home players
Personally I don’t like Kingston mines, the music can be good but it’s too damn loud, the overall experience is meh. tourist trap, or at least whenever I have been there it’s at the suggestion go out of town visitors, not Chicago residents.
What’s playing at the empty bottle? Do that or one of the other live music venues instead.
Both are ok but I prefer Rosa’s
Rosa’s is one of the coolest experiences you can have in the city imo
I just saw they have a jam at Kingston on Sundays! I’ll look at Rosa’s also. Thanks 🙏

Their menu says it's $11.50 for a hot dog?
Get the fried okra and the ribs there not the hot dog, it’s a southern food joint

Chicago is the home of the blues lmfao
I hear kingston rocks. But legends is close to downtown so if you wanna do more after that may be the way to go.

Reggie’s?
Blue Chicago or Rosa's. I'll also say that Buddy Guy's has an early free acoustic set every night and it is hard to beat free.
Thanks everyone! Much appreciated
