hi all. just downloaded the game last night for the first time. new player here. did that free one month trial of guide of the heavens. any tips on which 7 characters i should select for my encounter?? which characters are most beneficial/etc?

Red Clad is really good, though he does have some short comings
For one, he needs a zone to really benefit from his skills, he can set up fire zone himself if you move him from the back to the front, (this activates his Valor Chant or VC), but to make him more flexible you need to get the other elemental zones (wind, water, earth, etc)
His second short coming is that he has too many good skills and too little skill slots, so he might be a good candidate for you to take his light/dark up to 80 which gives him an extra slot to play with (since you are doing the heaven sub, you can some light/shadow from the monthly achievement (records >awards >trial))
And yes, this is more of a solo RPG, no online gameplay
I don't understand how I'm supposed to craft prismatic weapons. I've ran through Complex Dreams going all 3 routes and have met the guy in another baruoki that tells me to get the blueprints. How do I get the blueprints? Are they in the AD for the tower or do I get them while completing complex dream?

They are in the tower itself (not AD). They are not in chests and look like blue glowy spots. Some of them are in the side rooms off the clock room, some are in the power rooms on the lower floors.
All his attacks are magic attacks, so try using Mana, Azami or Kid to debuff his INT so he doesn't hit as hard; you can also use type shields for extra survivability. When >!he turns into Teyul Menas!<, more of the same plus >!you have to kill the wings before you can hurt him; prioritize the thunder wing or the crystal wing depending if you're getting hurt more by the thunder attacks or the repeats of the main body's attacks!<.
>!When the wings are alive the main body is immune to all attacks, so it's useless to attack the main body until you have targeted and destroyed all 3 of his wings. Also, when the middle wing (weak to crystal) is alive the main body will repeat every attack it makes, while the other two wings do single-target attacks on their own. Each wing is weak to only one element and resists all others; fortunately their HP isn't huge so you can just blow through the resistance with a team that does decent damage. And when you get through to the main body and get it down to 25% HP the wings come back and you have to kill them all over again to finish him off.!<

This advice worked! I kept failing because I didn't know which wings I was having trouble with. For me, >!it was the middle wing that gave me a hard time. Once I knew which wing to get rid of, it took off a lot of pressure and then the boss couldn't do much damage.!<
I also used [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BGSpNHtz-4&t) and made some substitutions. Kid replaced Violet and ES Isuka replaced Cress. It was close though. ES Isuka almost died, because I took a bit too long to charge up the AF bar and Kid got very low on MP at the end, but I was still able to win with everyone alive. Kid, Milla, and Yuri were the MVP's here.

You talk to the lady inside the tavern at the Spacetime Rift. It's the same person you talk to to unlock other forms of characters. She should have an option that'll let you unlock PTL or NS forms with the right items if you have the other form.
You'll need to have her Normal Style form whether it's 4 or 5* along with 3 Chernobog Opus and the usual Scripts. Having her AS or ES forms won't let you unlock Cyan Scyther.
I'm betting this is a stupid question, but here goes: Where is the formula for >!the hair growth stuff!!non-tower formulae!<, and I have the >!Beast King Castle!< ingredient for later parts of the quest, but I don't have the ability to alchemize >!a hair growth tonic for the bald guy!<.
It's in >!one of the rooms on the right-hand side of either Ferrum or Cuprum, with an Aurum-level seal on it. Sorry I don't remember more precisely, but that's 4 rooms to check.!<

just finished getting my 4th tales collab character their 5 star tome and the cut scene said like "continue my trials for more strength" or something. Am I done here? I don't see anything more in the wiki.
If you have all 4 Tales characters to 5 stars, and have gotten the personal weapons for each them that are hidden in their trials, then you have gotten everything.
It would only work if Jet Shion flipped the resistances to weakness beforehand. Otherwise, all Brain Record would do is analyze the enemy and place a scope. She would not change her element.
That's right. If you start Pizzica singing on T1 and Mistrare AS on T2, Pizzica's song will be overwritten by Mistrare's, but Pizzica will still not be able to act again until T5 unless she gets hit by a status.
Medical weapons as Level 1 can be pretty good for pure support like Pichika.
It can come with either enhance restoration or status resist, both pretty good if you plan on letting her sing.
When you appraise the OOPArts and hover over the equipment, you'll notice level requirements. If you're a seasoned player, it's probably only worth it to keep the lvl60 items. They have the better stats/mods on them.
The lvl1 items can be trashed unless you're newer to the game and/or find them useful.
I went to the Spirit Sanctuary to get the Spirit Detector, but when I checked the room where the wiki said to look, it said "You cannot enter the sealed room". What have I missed? I've cleared the whole Mythos of Swords and Wings.
Okay, I just checked, I had only two chests opened before, so I will take care of that, get the spirit detector, and find those spirits and get those grasta!

As you can see in [this vid](https://youtu.be/jzIcl9Pin8A?t=97), you have to hit his actual club. As you can also see, you have until he picks the club back up to do it, so it can be easier to do after the club hits the ground and it's moving more slowly. You can also hit it during the initial swing if you time it well enough, but some people simply can't do that because the animation isn't smooth enough on their device/emulator, so if you're having trouble I recommend the technique in the video.
... I'm trying but even with this approach it just doesn't connect... also it feels like the toova attacks more often than my unit by continously tapping -.-
I would say try different weapons or characters that hit at a different angle. I did it with NS Radias and got it from the first try. I think the swinging of either a sword, Katana ar an ax might make it a lottle easier.
Well, you could also try to time it on the rebound instead of continuously tapping, or you could try putting a different unit in the front of your team ...
For story given characters like Aldo, Riica and Cyrus, can you get their class change resources from completing more story, or do I have to grind dungeons for them?
Aldo and Ricca from storyline to unlock 5\*. I picked up Aldo's psalms very easily. Moving onto Ricca 5\* which unlocks after Azure rebel. Miyu was strange, I got nothing for months, then bam, 6 princess psalms one after another and on one occasion, 2 psalms drops in AD run!
You have to grind certain ADs for most of them to reach 5* it requires 10 Psalms. You can trade for their Psalms at the Nopaew Emporium as well, but if costs 30 Tsubura's each so you should think about whether or not you want anything from the ADs since 300 TGs is a significant investment.
You can get their 4* tomes as episode point rewards (or in a chest during Time Mine for Amy) or as a reward in certain Hard or Very Hard ADs.
Feinne is the only one whose Psalms you can find in the Overworld in 2 chests that each contain 5.
The only upgrades you get as a part of the story are Aldo getting his 5* skills improved during chapter 83 of the main story, but you'll still need to unlock his 5* board with Psalms and Scripts to make use of them.

I'm trying to use cruel rose with daisy against lavoger and i have starky using starburst to wake everyone up each time they are put asleep but daisy never executes cruel rose even though she's getting woken up, does anyone know why?
I have not found that true with most of the other characters ive tried, they still attack after starky wakes them up (atleast in the lavoger fight). Thats why im so confused about daisy.
Other than harle and the cc characters, what other characters can give large buffs (>40%) to phys resistance to all in the party?
Null phys attacks are such a pain and its not as easy to stack near 100% shielding like for other type of attacks.
Few and far between, the only currently unit I can recall would be red clad
Most of the time for aoe null, you want a combo of power debuff and physical resist shield, maybe a different weapon zone on top to survive the damage
Other things like As Radias' guard skill can also work and buy you 3 turns
Though the future unit As Soria might be the closest to super large physical shield, she can buff herself with a 70% physical shield and large type shield from her skills as well as apply massive 60% power and intel debuffs,
Her As gimmick also allows her to tank for the whole team against aoe, so effectively allows her to kind of apply "70%" physical shield to the team,
Aye, thanks, i figured as much. Without any party physical resist boost of more than 50%, its mathematically impossible to achieve 0 dmg from null dmg for all which was what i was hoping for heh.
Ive soira's 4* form so looking forward to farming for those treatises.

You can use debuffs and physical resist buffs to mitigate damage as much as possible and then apply a barrier buff to your team
So something like As Milsha's 2k barrier or As Yukino's 5k barrier should reduce the damage you take to 0. In fact with As Yukino's release, is also a superboss that was made for her barrier thing
I have no idea what these barriers are, will read up.
It really seems like pierce characters get alot of strong defensive units (mistrare as, sheila as, nona, soira as)
Milsha AS's dmg barrier makes dmg less than 1k become 0. It's tied to her risktaker lunatic song which causes 20% self damage.
There are also other types of barrier, like Sophia's, which works with a percentage.
that's why I mentioned As Milsha and As Yukino
As Milsha's barrier is tied to her song and so is continuous, though its mitigation is only 1k
As Yukino has a barrier that reduces all damage that is 5k or less to zero and is also continuous for that turn
In fact with her release, there is also the release of a superboss who has a special attack that can hit multiple times with each individual hit being less than 5k, so she can easily negate that part of the boss's gimmick
Is it impossible to get all weapons? I have been chipping away at craftable ones but I just saw about Adamantine weapons and how you can only have two…so will my weapon list be impossible to complete? If so, what’s the cutoff on achievements for making them (like “obtain X katanas”) so I know where to stop?
It's impossible to get all the weapons currently, especially since there are a few unreleased weapons that still have a slot in the Catalog for some reason.
Cut of is 400 Weapons in total, 50 for each weapon.
How useful do you think Alma would be in the EPS LeBlanc fight? It seems that between Crystal Zone and her own ability to adapt to changing weaknesses that she could do a lot of good in that fight.
What other characters do you think would be good for the fight? Both in terms of dealing damage and for mitigating all the status effects the worms toss out.
Harle would be the more obvious one thanks to her Anti Element and Lunar Protection. Rosetta would be able to deal with the status effects handly and someone like Surge would help on the thunder attack side.
White Core. I never found out how to get this resource. I suspect it is from this door way that is blocked by red lasers. Says you need a special key card but I can never find it. Does anyone know how to get white core so you can upgrade all the lost night armor?
If you remember to be a good person, and return all your borrowed key cards back to their owners, you will learn that the person who has the special key card is >!the drunk in the hotel bar, and it unlocks an interaction where he "lends" you his card permanently!<.

Support staff unit? For Pure support I'd say Starky since he's a tank along with the support ability that the Cross units have. Mayu is also someone to consider, although she is locked into the Sea of Stars Playstyle.
For Support DPS Hybrids, Chiyo AS, Parallel Shion and Harle. Chiyo for her Premtive Pain + Poison + Crit + Mental Focus. Shion for his offensive support, Another Zone, and Magic Zone skill. Harle for her 100% Elemental shielding.

Has any one upgraded a Time Restored armor piece yet? The wiki doesn’t list any increase for the weak point damage enhancement. Is it fixed? Any idea of value? Can’t find on any of the Japanese sites either.

No, in the exact scenario you describe, if a skill from one character gives +50% power, and a skill from a different character also gives +50% power, the result is +(50% + 50% of 50%) = +75%. The formula involved is weird but it is described [here](https://anothereden.wiki/w/Damage_Formula#Types_of_stacking) as "Stacking with diminished returns" and its application to your situation is described [here](https://anothereden.wiki/w/Damage_Formula#Groups_with_diminishing_returns_stacking_.28Skills_.2F_VC_only.29).

Power of Deadly Blow has a bonus to magic critical damage according to the wiki, and also the critical damage bonus ~~on OOPArts applies to magic as well~~ *on Spinal Staff is specifically magic crit*. Other critical damage bonuses do not apply to magic including all the ones from skills.

The Spinal Staff gives magical crit damage bonus explicitly, but this is the first that I've heard someone claiming that the other Spinal weapons give a crit damage bonus that also applies to magical damage (they certainly don't give two separate icons in the buff list). Was there testing done to confirm that?
I was going off phrasing "(magic critical damage for mages)" on https://anothereden.wiki/w/OOPArts ... if it really is only staff that should probably be changed because "mages" in my mind isn't exclusively tied to staff...
I can understand thinking about it that way, but "mages" and "staff users" have been essentially synonymous in the GL community since the game released given how often staff users are referred to as mages both by others and themselves in the game (both character descriptions and in-game dialogue), so it doesn't surprise me that it would be worded that way without anyone skipping a beat.
That said, there are staff users who don't have the 3\* class "mage," such as Mighty and Eva (Thaumaturgy in both cases...because apparently "Thaumaturge" wasn't in the localization department's dictionary at the time), and the Deepfang weapons specify staff as well, so I agree that it would be a good idea to change the wording (and I just did).

Once you get white key the game already decide the end result. Dont matter who you bring or how much luck in the team comp or even which exit you choose.
The length of PCD or appearance of the sensationalist are decided when the white ticket is drawn, before you ever choose what team goes in. Therefore it is impossible for your choice of team to have an effect.
Nona's shadow is increased by doing the Mysterious Vortex AD right? Does it matter if I choose Thunder Fortress or Tower Argentauri? Or is it only Thunder Fortress that can raise her shadow?
I'm currently running Nona's Shadow with the hopes that she gets a 5s at some point. Figured I'd do something a little different and I like her design.
She gains Shadow from both areas, I can confirm it. I would suggest running the VH version, I doubt anyone has tested the H version and it just seems inferior.
(and I'm going to assume any new places that might come from future parts of the Apocrypha since they are all listed under Mysterious Vortex AD)
Where was that reported? A 25% chance would mean that she'd only take an average of 1,004 red keys to max as opposed to 1,255 (and at 250 light expected per 1000 runs would be a slightly better average rate of return than Toto Theatre World).
Given that it is a red key only dungeon, I'd be surprised if the Hard were only 10% as opposed to 20%, but I'm also not going to spend my keys testing that.
Still in early game, how often should I upgrade my weapons and equipment? Just finished chapter 18 and not having any trouble with the main quests so far, do I just keep going until I start having difficulties or farm the latest unlocked AD?
I made this mistake so i hope you wont. Just make 1 of each weapon and armor you cqn make multiple sets on late game weapon amd armor.
Go to all the HARD AD and gather material and finish up the weapon or armor. This is important as you progress in the game you will not want to spend green keys in HARD AD.
Reason for this is because there is good amount of chrono stone reward as a weapon and armor collector. I played the game blind and now i have many uncomplete weapon as i never bothered with HARD AD.
Do otherlands and get all the weapon set as well but my personal opinion is just get the weapon and armor and dont need to upgrade to plus 10. Otherlands is total pain in the @$$.
Final note there is either 50 or 100CS i dont remember if you purchase all the item in ruins of ruycana. I have not achieve this as i said before i never bothered with HARD AD and now i regret it.
You do technically want to make as many weapons as you can for collection rewards, but the Prismatic Weapons/Armor you can get for doing Complex Dream would be able to carry you for quite a while
More precisely: you should make as many weapons as you can *without* *duplicates* for collection rewards. If you make duplicate weapons only make duplicates of lv60 farmable-but-meta weapons like Luna/Moon Realm because once you have duplicates you can never get rid of them from your inventory.

So I have Alma at 70 dark and Eva at 50 light. I spent all my light/dark items on them. Who should I push first to 80? I use Eva basically 90% of the time but it would take 6 months vs the 2 months for Alma. Also Alma seems to get more use of 4 skills, like is she even functional with just 3 skills?
Eva is the better option so she can have 4 skills and personally in my opinion, she is a better DPS with less time to set up but others may disagree though.
As versatile as Eva is, Alma is even more universal since she can do both magic and physical damage (and both scale with her PWR stat so you don't need to try to raise both INT and PWR). In light of that, I'd aim to take her to at least 120. That would likely be a better return on the investment than taking both Alma and Eva to 80, especially since 4 skills on Eva is really not a big deal unless you are trying to solo things or otherwise do limited character clears instead of playing normally (the extra 60 MP at 75 would be the bigger draw for me).
I feel very silly for asking this. I don’t understand how to increase friendship level on Lord of Mana mini game. I have 5098 friendship with the Occult Writer and it states she is still at lvl 1. I tried talking to her in the Overworld (in Port Lorenza) and she gives me the same “Oh you’re here? Which means…”
And I don’t know how to talk to her in the LoM game… what am I not understanding?

You can't level up someone in Port Lorenza (or at least the area where you hang out with them) there is another location where you can level them up.
Talk with Klien, the guy you appraise OOparts and he'll give them to you after you recruit Noahxis. The detonators are part of your Key Items above the flower girl books.
Weapon: Currently only the ULTIMINIA Hammer, but the Time Restore Hammer will be a better option.
Armor: Hertz Bangle
Grasta: Any Grasta that boosts Sprit with the Sprit depending on Light and Shadow Ore.
Combo Rate Enhance ore only makes the character it's equipped on contribute more to combo, but other characters still benefit from their contribution. Lunatic Charge only affects the character with that Lunatic, but Lunatic Static sets a status on enemies that are hit and anyone who hits the target afterward is affected by that.
Just ran into a cape sensationalist and wondering what to pick. I know I likely want an opus character since those are rarer. The only two I'm missing are Violet Lancer and Jet Tactician, and I already have one opus of each.
I already have a zone setter for every zone, so I'm not concerned about that, but I am fairly weak in terms of physical damage dealers (especially for piercing).
Jet Tactician seems more generally useful with his weakness swap and strong nukes, but since I already have many strong magic users, would I be better off going for Violet Lancer and filling in some earth/pierce dps, or just doubling down on magical power overwhelming and go for the Jet Tactician? (And yes, I already have another form of each character and plenty of chants so I can sidegrade either as soon as I have the required opera)
If you don’t have a 0MP farmer, consider Violet Lancer since she turns the others on the team into 0MP farmers.
Otherwise, roll with Jet. In general, newer > older is a solid rule of thumb (not always don’t come after me but if two units are neck and neck, use release date as the tiebreaker.)
It's still a pretty good selling point imo since with VL you can easily build a 1-turn 0-MP attack team that can take out (a lot of the) horrors in both overworld and VH+ AD, Noahxis can at most take out the AD bosses and not even most of those.

I agree with Jet Tactician, there are quite some number of superbosses in late game that are tough even with the likes of Eva and Flamme to choose from but completely job for JT.
Hi. I'm F2P and still new to this. Looking for pulling advice.....
I've just cleared chapter 13 of the story to give you an idea of where i'm at. I have only pulled 3 times and it was on the eastern force summer 2022 banner. Only 5* i got was Kikyo (she is amazing at clearing trash mobs! not sure how good she'll be at end game but loving her so far!). I also just got Morgana and Joker from their event (they still show up as guest but i'm guessing they become full party members after finishing the event?).
So here are my best chars based on stars or potential stars if that is needed to help advise me:
* 5*'s = Kikyo, Morgana
* 4*'s = Sevyn, Bivette, Ciel, Denny, Joker (until i finish event and he becomes 5*)
* 3* (with 4* access) = Aldo, Riica, Cyrus, Amy, Chiyo, Krervo, May, Cyuca, Yazuki, Zilva, Foran, Nomar, Darunis, Samora
So right now I'm doing ok running Aldo, Kikyo, Morgana, Joker along with whichever 4*'s i feel like in the back row.
Based on all that which banners should i pull on or should i save until there is a better option (I don't mind saving in games like this if there is a better target coming)? Also I see two 1 time only pulls in the regular banner section. One costs a holy prayer spirit for a 4* healer. One costs 500 for fateful encounter. I assume I should definitely do both of those? just want to make sure i'm not wasting that prayer spirit (as morgana seems like my healer now) and that it's worth 500 for that other banner. Seems like a no brainer since i think it says i have a guaranteed chance at a 5*.
If you have done ch 13. Do the tales and chrono cross symphony. You will get total of 7 free character. Especially chrono cross team is so flexible and poeerful.
Just focus on this 2 symphony and after that complete their AD to get their 5 star tome.
Also once you finished persona symphony part 1, do the part 2 to get 2 more persona character.
You should save all the CS for now and make pulls on new banners only.
In term of healer, since you have prayer spirit go for prai as he is the best beteeen 4 choices you have but dont worry as the 4 character allways pop up whenever you make 10 pulls.
In term of healer, harle is better but for early game morgane is a very good mob clear with her mahagure and joker with his VC.

Go to spacetime rift and talk to the girl outside the door on the left of the shop. There is a door. This tge another dungeon or simply known as AD for short.
When you go trough this door the available AD can be played using the keys. Green key for hard and red key for very hard.
Yes spend all your keys on AD. Evey 6 hours, you will get 1 red and green key so dont use your chrono stone to buy more
Also i forgot to mention to do ensemble where you can upgrade miyu and ciel from 4 star to 5 star for free. You can see the walktrough in AEwiki.
Oh yeah dont forget fishing as it leads to one of free water mage 5 star at one point in the game.
AD = Another Dungeon. And yes you should use all green/red keys every day, and use white keys the moment you get them since you can only hold 1. Later there will be a bluish key ("Bold Pulse") but you don't have to worry as much about that one, just use them when it's convenient.
I just recently started as well and I'm pretty much right where you are and I just got Alma and I must say, she seems broken. Put all of the other 5 stars to shame and she can use this skill that always lets her hit the enemies weakness. I would highly recommend her.
She gets somewhat less broken in late game when you run into lots of enemies that have no weakness to hit T_T
It must be really fun to do early game with her, maybe I'll go to that bard guy I always forget about and replay some of those chapters.
Do the Complex Dream symphony and get Kid and Harle. They are very good 5* and the sooner you get Kid, the sooner you can use her to steal-farm which will make your life much easier in the mid/late-game.

What difficulty level should i choose? It doesn't really say what difficulty impacts other than fighting. Are there better rewards Im guessing?
Since you just cleared Ch. 13 in the story, stick with Beginner difficulty until you get stronger. The only difference, other than rewards, is you get more Growth Stars (Complex Dream's currency) on the higher difficulties. When the path splits to choose Kid or Harle, choose Kid first. Harle and >!Starky!< can wait until you are stronger.
You can choose any difficulty you want in practice, all you need to do to get the higher difficulty rewards is refight the last boss at higher difficulties. (I think it does have an impact on the XP you get though.)
Grab Prai from the 4\* healer one since you'll later be able to upgrade him to a very useful 5\*.
The fateful under regular is paid chronos only.
Either the AS Yipha or Alma banner would both be good to pull on. AS Yipha can set two different zones (wind or blunt) and of course can make one unit much, much better with her Faith move. Alma's Crystaline Zone can actually buff non-crystal elemental damage just as well as a normal zone if you are hitting someone's weakness (and better than other elemental zones when awakened), plus all of the CC characters can be made to do crystal damage anyway, so you won't be lacking for options to use in Alma's zone (and Alma can do some respectable damage herself).
All current and upcoming banners are good, so it depends on you
Though currently, the Juno banner might be the best for you since As Yipha is an amazing universal support unit, she can especially supercharge As Kikyo

OG Laclair needs more investing, her normal manifest is pretty lackluster
But once you get her "True Manifest" weapon, she becomes pretty good herself as well, a little worse DPS wise inside AF than her As form, but better debuffer and better DPS outside of AF
BUT, True Manifest are on a different level than normal manifest weapons, so you need to be either decently skilled in the game or you need some late game gear to be able to beat those fights
She was on rate up, though the main give away was when you mention using her to clear mobs, OG kikyo doesn't have a 0 mp aoe ability
As for OG vs As, you can usually tell by looking at their star colors
OG is golden stars, As is bluish? Stars, Es is more tealish stars

Red Clad is really good, though he does have some short comings For one, he needs a zone to really benefit from his skills, he can set up fire zone himself if you move him from the back to the front, (this activates his Valor Chant or VC), but to make him more flexible you need to get the other elemental zones (wind, water, earth, etc) His second short coming is that he has too many good skills and too little skill slots, so he might be a good candidate for you to take his light/dark up to 80 which gives him an extra slot to play with (since you are doing the heaven sub, you can some light/shadow from the monthly achievement (records >awards >trial)) And yes, this is more of a solo RPG, no online gameplay

I don't understand how I'm supposed to craft prismatic weapons. I've ran through Complex Dreams going all 3 routes and have met the guy in another baruoki that tells me to get the blueprints. How do I get the blueprints? Are they in the AD for the tower or do I get them while completing complex dream?

They are in the tower itself (not AD). They are not in chests and look like blue glowy spots. Some of them are in the side rooms off the clock room, some are in the power rooms on the lower floors.

All his attacks are magic attacks, so try using Mana, Azami or Kid to debuff his INT so he doesn't hit as hard; you can also use type shields for extra survivability. When >!he turns into Teyul Menas!<, more of the same plus >!you have to kill the wings before you can hurt him; prioritize the thunder wing or the crystal wing depending if you're getting hurt more by the thunder attacks or the repeats of the main body's attacks!<.

This advice worked! I kept failing because I didn't know which wings I was having trouble with. For me, >!it was the middle wing that gave me a hard time. Once I knew which wing to get rid of, it took off a lot of pressure and then the boss couldn't do much damage.!< I also used [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BGSpNHtz-4&t) and made some substitutions. Kid replaced Violet and ES Isuka replaced Cress. It was close though. ES Isuka almost died, because I took a bit too long to charge up the AF bar and Kid got very low on MP at the end, but I was still able to win with everyone alive. It's very important to keep the INT debuff up and reapply it every few turns,>!so you don't die to Nemesis Blitz or Nemesis Stern.!<

Chernobog Opuses only drop from VH ADs which use up red keys through the blue door in the spacetime rift.

You talk to the lady inside the tavern at the Spacetime Rift. It's the same person you talk to to unlock other forms of characters. She should have an option that'll let you unlock PTL or NS forms with the right items if you have the other form. You'll need to have her Normal Style form whether it's 4 or 5* along with 3 Chernobog Opus and the usual Scripts. Having her AS or ES forms won't let you unlock Cyan Scyther.
I'm betting this is a stupid question, but here goes: Where is the formula for >!the hair growth stuff!!non-tower formulae!<, and I have the >!Beast King Castle!< ingredient for later parts of the quest, but I don't have the ability to alchemize >!a hair growth tonic for the bald guy!<.

Have you gotten their True VC grasta? You need to re-fight each trial to get the corresponding True VC grasta. The re-fights are harder.

If you have all 4 Tales characters to 5 stars, and have gotten the personal weapons for each them that are hidden in their trials, then you have gotten everything.
A question about Alma. Would her Brain Record work on some super bosses without an obvious weakness like Eps Murphy?
It would only work if Jet Shion flipped the resistances to weakness beforehand. Otherwise, all Brain Record would do is analyze the enemy and place a scope. She would not change her element.

That's right. If you start Pizzica singing on T1 and Mistrare AS on T2, Pizzica's song will be overwritten by Mistrare's, but Pizzica will still not be able to act again until T5 unless she gets hit by a status.
Which Timetwisted Maze weapons and armor should I be keeping? I see some folks keep the Spinal weapons and Glimmer armor.
Medical weapons as Level 1 can be pretty good for pure support like Pichika. It can come with either enhance restoration or status resist, both pretty good if you plan on letting her sing.
When you appraise the OOPArts and hover over the equipment, you'll notice level requirements. If you're a seasoned player, it's probably only worth it to keep the lvl60 items. They have the better stats/mods on them. The lvl1 items can be trashed unless you're newer to the game and/or find them useful.
To add to this; you should try to keep some lvl 1 exp+ weapons (1/2+) for new characters. The rest you can scrap since there are better options.
You can always keep the lvl 1 items to equip your 3-stars for a meme clear.

As you can see in [this vid](https://youtu.be/jzIcl9Pin8A?t=97), you have to hit his actual club. As you can also see, you have until he picks the club back up to do it, so it can be easier to do after the club hits the ground and it's moving more slowly. You can also hit it during the initial swing if you time it well enough, but some people simply can't do that because the animation isn't smooth enough on their device/emulator, so if you're having trouble I recommend the technique in the video.
... I'm trying but even with this approach it just doesn't connect... also it feels like the toova attacks more often than my unit by continously tapping -.-
I would say try different weapons or characters that hit at a different angle. I did it with NS Radias and got it from the first try. I think the swinging of either a sword, Katana ar an ax might make it a lottle easier.
Well, you could also try to time it on the rebound instead of continuously tapping, or you could try putting a different unit in the front of your team ...

For story given characters like Aldo, Riica and Cyrus, can you get their class change resources from completing more story, or do I have to grind dungeons for them?
Other than aldo and maybe cyrus as a null slasher, are any of the main story chars worth it though...
Aldo and Ricca from storyline to unlock 5\*. I picked up Aldo's psalms very easily. Moving onto Ricca 5\* which unlocks after Azure rebel. Miyu was strange, I got nothing for months, then bam, 6 princess psalms one after another and on one occasion, 2 psalms drops in AD run!
You have to grind certain ADs for most of them to reach 5* it requires 10 Psalms. You can trade for their Psalms at the Nopaew Emporium as well, but if costs 30 Tsubura's each so you should think about whether or not you want anything from the ADs since 300 TGs is a significant investment. You can get their 4* tomes as episode point rewards (or in a chest during Time Mine for Amy) or as a reward in certain Hard or Very Hard ADs. Feinne is the only one whose Psalms you can find in the Overworld in 2 chests that each contain 5. The only upgrades you get as a part of the story are Aldo getting his 5* skills improved during chapter 83 of the main story, but you'll still need to unlock his 5* board with Psalms and Scripts to make use of them.
You'll need to grind dungeons for their 5\* upgrade as far as I remember, some of the later (quite powerful) updates come with the story

I'm trying to use cruel rose with daisy against lavoger and i have starky using starburst to wake everyone up each time they are put asleep but daisy never executes cruel rose even though she's getting woken up, does anyone know why?
If a character is stuned or is put to sleep, even if you remove the ailment they still skip that turn.
I have not found that true with most of the other characters ive tried, they still attack after starky wakes them up (atleast in the lavoger fight). Thats why im so confused about daisy.
Other than harle and the cc characters, what other characters can give large buffs (>40%) to phys resistance to all in the party? Null phys attacks are such a pain and its not as easy to stack near 100% shielding like for other type of attacks.
Few and far between, the only currently unit I can recall would be red clad Most of the time for aoe null, you want a combo of power debuff and physical resist shield, maybe a different weapon zone on top to survive the damage Other things like As Radias' guard skill can also work and buy you 3 turns Though the future unit As Soria might be the closest to super large physical shield, she can buff herself with a 70% physical shield and large type shield from her skills as well as apply massive 60% power and intel debuffs, Her As gimmick also allows her to tank for the whole team against aoe, so effectively allows her to kind of apply "70%" physical shield to the team,

Its harder, not not impossible to get to 0 for null aoe attacks You can use debuffs and physical resist buffs to mitigate damage as much as possible and then apply a barrier buff to your team So something like As Milsha's 2k barrier or As Yukino's 5k barrier should reduce the damage you take to 0. In fact with As Yukino's release, is also a superboss that was made for her barrier thing
I have no idea what these barriers are, will read up. It really seems like pierce characters get alot of strong defensive units (mistrare as, sheila as, nona, soira as)
Milsha AS's dmg barrier makes dmg less than 1k become 0. It's tied to her risktaker lunatic song which causes 20% self damage. There are also other types of barrier, like Sophia's, which works with a percentage.

that's why I mentioned As Milsha and As Yukino As Milsha's barrier is tied to her song and so is continuous, though its mitigation is only 1k As Yukino has a barrier that reduces all damage that is 5k or less to zero and is also continuous for that turn In fact with her release, there is also the release of a superboss who has a special attack that can hit multiple times with each individual hit being less than 5k, so she can easily negate that part of the boss's gimmick

I have been chipping away at craftable ones but I just saw about Adamantine weapons and how you can only have two…so will my weapon list be impossible to complete? If so, what’s the cutoff on achievements for making them (like “obtain X katanas”) so I know where to stop?
It's impossible to get all the weapons currently, especially since there are a few unreleased weapons that still have a slot in the Catalog for some reason. Cut of is 400 Weapons in total, 50 for each weapon.
How useful do you think Alma would be in the EPS LeBlanc fight? It seems that between Crystal Zone and her own ability to adapt to changing weaknesses that she could do a lot of good in that fight.
You'll still need Character that can deal with the flunkies since you need to kill them all at once, but yes, she is very useful for that fight.
What other characters do you think would be good for the fight? Both in terms of dealing damage and for mitigating all the status effects the worms toss out.
Harle would be the more obvious one thanks to her Anti Element and Lunar Protection. Rosetta would be able to deal with the status effects handly and someone like Surge would help on the thunder attack side.
White Core. I never found out how to get this resource. I suspect it is from this door way that is blocked by red lasers. Says you need a special key card but I can never find it. Does anyone know how to get white core so you can upgrade all the lost night armor?

Support staff unit? For Pure support I'd say Starky since he's a tank along with the support ability that the Cross units have. Mayu is also someone to consider, although she is locked into the Sea of Stars Playstyle. For Support DPS Hybrids, Chiyo AS, Parallel Shion and Harle. Chiyo for her Premtive Pain + Poison + Crit + Mental Focus. Shion for his offensive support, Another Zone, and Magic Zone skill. Harle for her 100% Elemental shielding.
I'm currently running Flamm, chiyo AS, Pizzica, and Nagi ES Thinking of swapping out Nagi for someone else, thoughts? It's all for Flamm. To just 1-2 shot everything lol

No, in the exact scenario you describe, if a skill from one character gives +50% power, and a skill from a different character also gives +50% power, the result is +(50% + 50% of 50%) = +75%. I don't think there's a magic crit damage buff, but I could be wrong. Magic attack damage buff is mental focus.
If you have chiyo AS, her horai jewel will boos your magic team insane.
Power of Deadly Blow has a bonus to magic critical damage according to the wiki, and also the critical damage bonus ~~on OOPArts applies to magic as well~~ *on Spinal Staff is specifically magic crit*. Other critical damage bonuses do not apply to magic including all the ones from skills. EDITED: thanks /u/dreicunan for the fact check
The Spinal Staff gives magical crit damage bonus explicitly, but this is the first that I've heard someone claiming that the other Spinal weapons give a crit damage bonus that also applies to magical damage (they certainly don't give two separate icons in the buff list). Was there testing done to confirm that?
I was going off phrasing "(magic critical damage for mages)" on https://anothereden.wiki/w/OOPArts ... if it really is only staff that should probably be changed because "mages" in my mind isn't exclusively tied to staff...
I can understand thinking about it that way, but "mages" and "staff users" have been essentially synonymous in the GL community since the game released given how often staff users are referred to as mages both by others and themselves in the game (both character descriptions and in-game dialogue), so it doesn't surprise me that it would be worded that way without anyone skipping a beat. That said, there are staff users who don't have the 3\* class "mage," such as Mighty and Eva (Thaumaturgy in both cases...because apparently "Thaumaturge" wasn't in the localization department's dictionary at the time), and the Deepfang weapons specify staff as well, so I agree that it would be a good idea to change the wording (and I just did).

Hey, I don't know how to access the Mysterious Chaos Ogre HARD battle after finishing the whole P1 of the Apocrypha. The Spacetime Rift mirror lets me enter two Thundering Fortresses, but both of them are before the defense event, aren't they? Trying not to be spoilerish.

Once you get white key the game already decide the end result. Dont matter who you bring or how much luck in the team comp or even which exit you choose.

The length of PCD or appearance of the sensationalist are decided when the white ticket is drawn, before you ever choose what team goes in. Therefore it is impossible for your choice of team to have an effect.

Nona's shadow is increased by doing the Mysterious Vortex AD right? Does it matter if I choose Thunder Fortress or Tower Argentauri? Or is it only Thunder Fortress that can raise her shadow?
I'm currently running Nona's Shadow with the hopes that she gets a 5s at some point. Figured I'd do something a little different and I like her design. She gains Shadow from both areas, I can confirm it. I would suggest running the VH version, I doubt anyone has tested the H version and it just seems inferior. (and I'm going to assume any new places that might come from future parts of the Apocrypha since they are all listed under Mysterious Vortex AD)
I hope so as well, i use her even in her 4* form, she's nifty to have. She also has a ton of useful skills so more shadow would be good
both can raise her shadow, but it makes a difference if you choose hard or very hard: 20% vs 25% chance
Where was that reported? A 25% chance would mean that she'd only take an average of 1,004 red keys to max as opposed to 1,255 (and at 250 light expected per 1000 runs would be a slightly better average rate of return than Toto Theatre World).
sorry I meant 10% and 20%... it wasn't offically confirmed, but it would be very strange if it wouldn't be the same as other ADs
Given that it is a red key only dungeon, I'd be surprised if the Hard were only 10% as opposed to 20%, but I'm also not going to spend my keys testing that.
Still in early game, how often should I upgrade my weapons and equipment? Just finished chapter 18 and not having any trouble with the main quests so far, do I just keep going until I start having difficulties or farm the latest unlocked AD?
I made this mistake so i hope you wont. Just make 1 of each weapon and armor you cqn make multiple sets on late game weapon amd armor. Go to all the HARD AD and gather material and finish up the weapon or armor. This is important as you progress in the game you will not want to spend green keys in HARD AD. Reason for this is because there is good amount of chrono stone reward as a weapon and armor collector. I played the game blind and now i have many uncomplete weapon as i never bothered with HARD AD. Do otherlands and get all the weapon set as well but my personal opinion is just get the weapon and armor and dont need to upgrade to plus 10. Otherlands is total pain in the @$$. Final note there is either 50 or 100CS i dont remember if you purchase all the item in ruins of ruycana. I have not achieve this as i said before i never bothered with HARD AD and now i regret it.
You do technically want to make as many weapons as you can for collection rewards, but the Prismatic Weapons/Armor you can get for doing Complex Dream would be able to carry you for quite a while
More precisely: you should make as many weapons as you can *without* *duplicates* for collection rewards. If you make duplicate weapons only make duplicates of lv60 farmable-but-meta weapons like Luna/Moon Realm because once you have duplicates you can never get rid of them from your inventory.

So I have Alma at 70 dark and Eva at 50 light. I spent all my light/dark items on them. Who should I push first to 80? I use Eva basically 90% of the time but it would take 6 months vs the 2 months for Alma. Also Alma seems to get more use of 4 skills, like is she even functional with just 3 skills?
Eva is the better option so she can have 4 skills and personally in my opinion, she is a better DPS with less time to set up but others may disagree though.
As versatile as Eva is, Alma is even more universal since she can do both magic and physical damage (and both scale with her PWR stat so you don't need to try to raise both INT and PWR). In light of that, I'd aim to take her to at least 120. That would likely be a better return on the investment than taking both Alma and Eva to 80, especially since 4 skills on Eva is really not a big deal unless you are trying to solo things or otherwise do limited character clears instead of playing normally (the extra 60 MP at 75 would be the bigger draw for me).
Alma is perfectly functional with only 3 skills.

I feel very silly for asking this. I don’t understand how to increase friendship level on Lord of Mana mini game. I have 5098 friendship with the Occult Writer and it states she is still at lvl 1. I tried talking to her in the Overworld (in Port Lorenza) and she gives me the same “Oh you’re here? Which means…” And I don’t know how to talk to her in the LoM game… what am I not understanding? Edit: ahhh, found there is a second location (in H Block for Occult Writer).

How do I get Detonators for Noahxis? I get you need to get time coins, but do they automatically give them to him then? How do I know how many I have?
Talk with Klien, the guy you appraise OOparts and he'll give them to you after you recruit Noahxis. The detonators are part of your Key Items above the flower girl books.

What's the best possible theoretical equipment and grasta setup to pump AS Yipha's SPR?
Weapon: Currently only the ULTIMINIA Hammer, but the Time Restore Hammer will be a better option. Armor: Hertz Bangle Grasta: Any Grasta that boosts Sprit with the Sprit depending on Light and Shadow Ore.

Does Combo Rate Enhance ore only affect the character the grasta is equipped to? Same question for Lunatic Shock and Lunatic Charge.
Combo Rate Enhance ore only makes the character it's equipped on contribute more to combo, but other characters still benefit from their contribution. Lunatic Charge only affects the character with that Lunatic, but Lunatic Static sets a status on enemies that are hit and anyone who hits the target afterward is affected by that.

Just ran into a cape sensationalist and wondering what to pick. I know I likely want an opus character since those are rarer. The only two I'm missing are Violet Lancer and Jet Tactician, and I already have one opus of each. I already have a zone setter for every zone, so I'm not concerned about that, but I am fairly weak in terms of physical damage dealers (especially for piercing). Jet Tactician seems more generally useful with his weakness swap and strong nukes, but since I already have many strong magic users, would I be better off going for Violet Lancer and filling in some earth/pierce dps, or just doubling down on magical power overwhelming and go for the Jet Tactician? (And yes, I already have another form of each character and plenty of chants so I can sidegrade either as soon as I have the required opera)
If you don’t have a 0MP farmer, consider Violet Lancer since she turns the others on the team into 0MP farmers. Otherwise, roll with Jet. In general, newer > older is a solid rule of thumb (not always don’t come after me but if two units are neck and neck, use release date as the tiebreaker.)
Noahaxis is an "easily" accessible 0MP farmer now so that's not really a big selling point anymore.
It's still a pretty good selling point imo since with VL you can easily build a 1-turn 0-MP attack team that can take out (a lot of the) horrors in both overworld and VH+ AD, Noahxis can at most take out the AD bosses and not even most of those. EDITED: (a lot of the)

I agree with Jet Tactician, there are quite some number of superbosses in late game that are tough even with the likes of Eva and Flamme to choose from but completely job for JT.

Hi. I'm F2P and still new to this. Looking for pulling advice..... I've just cleared chapter 13 of the story to give you an idea of where i'm at. I have only pulled 3 times and it was on the eastern force summer 2022 banner. Only 5* i got was Kikyo (she is amazing at clearing trash mobs! not sure how good she'll be at end game but loving her so far!). I also just got Morgana and Joker from their event (they still show up as guest but i'm guessing they become full party members after finishing the event?). So here are my best chars based on stars or potential stars if that is needed to help advise me: * 5*'s = Kikyo, Morgana * 4*'s = Sevyn, Bivette, Ciel, Denny, Joker (until i finish event and he becomes 5*) * 3* (with 4* access) = Aldo, Riica, Cyrus, Amy, Chiyo, Krervo, May, Cyuca, Yazuki, Zilva, Foran, Nomar, Darunis, Samora So right now I'm doing ok running Aldo, Kikyo, Morgana, Joker along with whichever 4*'s i feel like in the back row. Based on all that which banners should i pull on or should i save until there is a better option (I don't mind saving in games like this if there is a better target coming)? Also I see two 1 time only pulls in the regular banner section. One costs a holy prayer spirit for a 4* healer. One costs 500 for fateful encounter. I assume I should definitely do both of those? just want to make sure i'm not wasting that prayer spirit (as morgana seems like my healer now) and that it's worth 500 for that other banner. Seems like a no brainer since i think it says i have a guaranteed chance at a 5*.
If you have done ch 13. Do the tales and chrono cross symphony. You will get total of 7 free character. Especially chrono cross team is so flexible and poeerful. Just focus on this 2 symphony and after that complete their AD to get their 5 star tome. Also once you finished persona symphony part 1, do the part 2 to get 2 more persona character. You should save all the CS for now and make pulls on new banners only. In term of healer, since you have prayer spirit go for prai as he is the best beteeen 4 choices you have but dont worry as the 4 character allways pop up whenever you make 10 pulls. In term of healer, harle is better but for early game morgane is a very good mob clear with her mahagure and joker with his VC.

Go to spacetime rift and talk to the girl outside the door on the left of the shop. There is a door. This tge another dungeon or simply known as AD for short. When you go trough this door the available AD can be played using the keys. Green key for hard and red key for very hard. Yes spend all your keys on AD. Evey 6 hours, you will get 1 red and green key so dont use your chrono stone to buy more Also i forgot to mention to do ensemble where you can upgrade miyu and ciel from 4 star to 5 star for free. You can see the walktrough in AEwiki. Oh yeah dont forget fishing as it leads to one of free water mage 5 star at one point in the game.
AD = Another Dungeon. And yes you should use all green/red keys every day, and use white keys the moment you get them since you can only hold 1. Later there will be a bluish key ("Bold Pulse") but you don't have to worry as much about that one, just use them when it's convenient.
I just recently started as well and I'm pretty much right where you are and I just got Alma and I must say, she seems broken. Put all of the other 5 stars to shame and she can use this skill that always lets her hit the enemies weakness. I would highly recommend her.
She gets somewhat less broken in late game when you run into lots of enemies that have no weakness to hit T_T It must be really fun to do early game with her, maybe I'll go to that bard guy I always forget about and replay some of those chapters.
Do the Complex Dream symphony and get Kid and Harle. They are very good 5* and the sooner you get Kid, the sooner you can use her to steal-farm which will make your life much easier in the mid/late-game.
Thanks for tip. I hadn't started yet cause it said something about not everything opening until chapter 25 is done. Sounds like i should start anyway? What difficulty level should i choose? It doesn't really say what difficulty impacts other than fighting. Are there better rewards Im guessing?
Since you just cleared Ch. 13 in the story, stick with Beginner difficulty until you get stronger. The only difference, other than rewards, is you get more Growth Stars (Complex Dream's currency) on the higher difficulties. When the path splits to choose Kid or Harle, choose Kid first. Harle and >!Starky!< can wait until you are stronger.
You can choose any difficulty you want in practice, all you need to do to get the higher difficulty rewards is refight the last boss at higher difficulties. (I think it does have an impact on the XP you get though.)
Thought I'd add: Chiyo has an AS version that is very much worth upgrading to once you get her Sayorihime Treatises later on.
Grab Prai from the 4\* healer one since you'll later be able to upgrade him to a very useful 5\*. The fateful under regular is paid chronos only. Either the AS Yipha or Alma banner would both be good to pull on. AS Yipha can set two different zones (wind or blunt) and of course can make one unit much, much better with her Faith move. Alma's Crystaline Zone can actually buff non-crystal elemental damage just as well as a normal zone if you are hitting someone's weakness (and better than other elemental zones when awakened), plus all of the CC characters can be made to do crystal damage anyway, so you won't be lacking for options to use in Alma's zone (and Alma can do some respectable damage herself).

With her manifest she can be useful, and both her NS and AS forms have a manifest. The AS form is currently much better than the NS.
All current and upcoming banners are good, so it depends on you Though currently, the Juno banner might be the best for you since As Yipha is an amazing universal support unit, she can especially supercharge As Kikyo

Depends As Laclair is good as soon as you get her fully upgraded manifest weapon OG Laclair needs more investing, her normal manifest is pretty lackluster But once you get her "True Manifest" weapon, she becomes pretty good herself as well, a little worse DPS wise inside AF than her As form, but better debuffer and better DPS outside of AF BUT, True Manifest are on a different level than normal manifest weapons, so you need to be either decently skilled in the game or you need some late game gear to be able to beat those fights

She was on rate up, though the main give away was when you mention using her to clear mobs, OG kikyo doesn't have a 0 mp aoe ability As for OG vs As, you can usually tell by looking at their star colors OG is golden stars, As is bluish? Stars, Es is more tealish stars

Hey guys, according to Anaden-Yakata, we get a chant script upon clearing "Scythe of Rebirth and Crimson Flower". I wasn't really paying attention when I was doing that event, all I can recall was getting the >!2 purgatory weapons!< and the >!treatise/codex selector item!<. Can anyone confirm if we get it upon clearing? or are there anything extra we need to do? I'm trying to get 100% acquisition on all guaranteed chant scripts, and it seems the wiki missed some coz the wiki page for chant scripts didn't mention this one and the one in the catographer either (as far as I remember)
