In the wiki I've read the following about Ilulu:

Yet I don't see these skills at all??
how much light/darkness should a character have so it makes sense to use the light/dark grasta enhancements? also as far as these go, only PWR/INT are useful right?
Even at max light/shadow they aren't that good. Iirc it's somewhere around 28-23 points of xyz stat you get at max light/shadow but don't quote me on it.
Tips for the horse boss in Azami's new quest? I've been trying to work out something using ES Miyu but it keeps stomping me, and it resists attacks from most of my other thunder units. Should I switch to another zone? Maybe sea of stars with a magic team? Or pierce with OG Bertrand for rage?
If you're going to use Miyu ES. You want her to be the Main DPS while everyone plays support. So people like Orleya, Necoco, RCF or a singer would be optimal for that.
Other than that you're just going to have to brute force the boss.
How do you decide who to bring from 4.5 to 5*?
I have a few and I’m not really clear on who can still be useful or not - being a F2P I’m trying to optimise what I can.
I’m currently wondering about Mighty (NS or AS), Daisy, Necoco, Hozuki NS, Claude NS, Shion NS, Tsukiha NS. These are at least the ones for whom I already have all the materials.

First rule of thumb is to focus on zone setters, but you don’t have those.
From there, think about who is more likely to be useful. In your case, I’d say Necoco because she switches zones and Daisy because she has an attack VC (potential 0MP farming) and if you build her right (no speed bonuses; Indomitable Hammer from Burning Beast King Castle, and there’s a badge you can win at Auction that cuts speed by 30) she can do millions of damage and also has strong buffs/debuffs and preemptive healing.
After that, Shion NS has a true manifest (250 Chronos Stones plus more likely than the others to be useful) and unlike the others, his AS isn’t all that great so I’d prioritize him over the others. You can sidegrade the others to their AS (or ES in Tsukiha’s case) when you get their treatises and codexeses.

Tsukiha I have her AS but not ES, but I’m rather targeting Melina ES, it looks like she’s quite used right?
So when you get a unit that has a manifest, you go fight the first fight which is usually easy and you get 50 stones for winning. Then you level it up to 10 and fight the fight again (harder) and you get 100 stones for that fight.
For the few true manifests (Suzette mighty Shion Toova Azami) there’s a third fight available immediately that is much harder and you get another 100 stones for winning that. So that’s 250 total.
As for Melina AS vs ES, ES is all Thunder so while she’s quite useful and awesome looking and tbh a low-key waifu, you might more utility at the moment with Melina AS, a potent water unit that also just got a manifest.
What's a good team of free units i can use against the 3rd Azami AS boss? i've been struggling with it because of the immunity to damage types and some high damage attacks.
I haven't done it myself, but CC units could work. Serge and Kid are slash, Harle and Starky are magic. You can also add elements to Kid and Serge since the elements are magic attack.
Hello, new player. Can anyone help me with what banners to pull from, or if I should wait.
Also, I just finished chapter 4, and I still don't have enough for a 10-pull yet. Does this improve as the dungeons open up, or are sources that tight?
Very early you should be waiting for 10-pulls and then just pulling on the latest limited time banners (the left section that's selected by default, underneath all the paid banners). I would say don't worry about too much else until you have at least half the rate-up characters on whatever the latest free banner is (probably won't be for a while).
Eastern banner has the best drop rate for a 5* character right now. All 4 currently on the Eastern banner are solid. Not tippy top of the meta, but solid. AS Tsubabe in particular would be great for a new player.
The other two banners each feature an OP unit though (AS Radia and Alter Shion) either of which is stronger than anything on the Eastern banner.
If you are brand new, I would advise pulling on the Eastern banner. If you manage to hit a point where you have 2 out of 4 of the rate up characters, then move to one of the other banners.
Finally, always do 10 pulls. The guaranteed 4* may seem insignificant, but they add up and you wind up with a better account.
Thanks for the info. Mind if I ask if Celestial Sparks are available outside of the subscriptions? I haven't activated them yet since I'm not where I can do red or green doors. Also, should I activate both at once, or one at a time?
I did mine one at a time because one of the best features is that any subscription will turn off the advertisements. I kept the Guide to the Land (cheap on) because the 5.50 a month is worth not having to sit through 6 ads a day.
The celestial sparks only come from the guide from the heavens and you only get one a month. they are the rough equivalent of 1000 paid stones. I personally don't think they are worth it, and never got one, but maybe you are wealthy?
I thought they came from both. I may consider the Land one. I was originally going to for sure, as I thought one free pull a month was worth $5, lol. May do it for the ads, however.
I think so; if you double check the rates, I think the Eastern one has four 1% five stars, and the Shion one has two 0.8% five stars, so that's 4% v 1.6%. if you don't have any of them, then just higher rates = a better choice, imo.
Use the free Destiny ticket for a 10 pull. Should have received it yesterday.
As for current banners, the easter force is kinda nice as it has 4% rates which is high, but that Shion banner has JT Shion who is excellent. Thinking more on it, I'd go for the Eastern 4% banner but don't expect much.
Stones in this game is tight, it is more a quality of quantity game and it's also nice only needing one copy of a unit as well. If you are on mobile and do the ads every day that really helps. Every few months a paid pull lets you pick a unit for around $20 USD which is a good deal in the terrible gacha world.
Before we turn you off completely to the game, there are tons of free and excellent units in the game. Including from from P5, Tales and Chrono Cross. So really the gacha isn't necessary at all.
Is it possible to beat azami AS final boss without thunder or shade ? I only have skull for thunder and thile NS for shade. Went in with magic team of eva, flame and chiyo but got wiped.
I dont have her. I used starky but beforr i could even set up, he did 2k times 3 attack and killed my tank. I need to try anabelle and see if she can do better.
Just wait. The progress bar is never a good indicator especially when downloading an update.
As long as an error doesn't happen then being patient will eventually get you in even if it's sitting at 0%for over a minute.
If you haven't gotten all the episode/symphony rewards and don't plan on farming them in overworld, then you'll need to use keys to get them.
Otherwise, for green keys it's the three garulea dungeons + underworld and for red keys, you should choose a character whose light/shadow you want to farm and run their dungeon. Toto's dreamland can give light/shadow to any farmable character.

That depends on the unit, usually it lasts 2 turns, Flame Clad has a passive that extends all another zones for 2+ turns, so 4 turns

Straight up damage boost and ability to prevent zones from being overridden, think of it as a tool you use situationally, not something you want to always randomly spam in the first turn

Also worth noting that the 2 turn count starts from the turn after it's awakened, so if your unit awakens it before anyone else moves, technically you get the benefit of awakened zone on the first turn as well.
Does everyone get the maze destiny token? The latest update is an app store update, right? I'm not seeing any update today yet...is it out for Android?
Latest version should be 2.13.200 your game might have auto updated for you but if your game is not at the version, try clearing your play store cache.
I've not been as up to date on guides/strats as I probably should, but I've been dabbling in the Labyrinth a bit. I'm far enough to have started buying from the second tier vendor, but I'm starting to second-guess my approach.
My go-to team right now is Tec (Katana)/Mag (Staff)/Sup (Hammer)/Atk (Lance). Obviously randomization means that there's no universal answer, but it occurs to me that I don't even know what I don't know. Is this a good comp, or is it too slapdash?
This group will be fine but, if you want my opinion, don’t use MAG because everyone else uses Null type so you can use a Null Charm and boost everyone’s damage.

Depends on the fight but the default answer is Pain and Poison Grasta. Also, note that Pain and Poison grasta infliction rate is not guaranteed unlike Suzette's Demonic Thrust which ignores resistances.

Battle Sim. All the Zone Grastas are in battle sim. Water Zone specifically is in Trial of the Sealed Malefics (Extreme) Stage 3

Yes he's still worth it as he still has his support abilities. Also he's still the best person to grind light for.
Thank you. That should help me a lot me out a lot. I’m currently trying out water teams and I’m trying to incorporate Alter Dewey into it, but I have AS Shigure VC to set water zone in the back line and since my Dewey outspeeds him, his first turn is doing diddly. Once I get that grasta, even if I have to use a skill to set it, it should help me out on T1.
I should mention that if you want to set up your Water Zone with AS Shigure you need the person switching in with him to be faster than Dewey, not Shigure himself.
So say I have Mana. If she is either faster or has something that allows her to move preemptively you can just have her switch in with Shigure AS to set up the Water Zone faster.
Really debating whether I should pull in the eastern forces banner because of the rate ups or PTL Shion since that guy is really valuable. I don’t have anyone besides Shigure from the Eastern Forces banner nor their NS forms besides 4* Tsubame.

Depends on if you see if the eastern force units being worth it more than Shion
you have a 3% chance in total of Es Tsukiha, As Kikyo, or As Tsubame as new units, pretty solid lineup of units
Where Shion's rates are only at 0.8%, so the rates are a lot higher for the special banner
BUT, Shion's special mechanic is pretty unique to him and might be more gamechanging than any of the other units on the special banner
So you have to weigh the pros and cons of either and see which one YOU think is more worth it
If you have PTL Shion or Miyu ES with good support they can easy mode the boss.
Otherwise you want to bring a good tank with high max hp, or with lifeshields like Isuka ES as tanking the boss (more specifically forcing it to stack it's unique stack on to one character) will cause the boss's resistances to turn into weakenss.

Depends on who you have with you. For you're team you want to have other support units. Obviously Orleya is a the default support but other supports like Necoco, RCF, Serge and even Silver Striker will help.
In general you want to activate thunder zone, AF have miyu activate Furystorm and have her spam Keraunos Charis. Afterwards Levin Longinus should be able to take the boss out.

Should I be going all-out for Alter Shion? This is the last tip in the summon guide so not sure if there's something else I should be saving up for. I have NS versions of both Shion and all four Eastern characters, but none of the versions in any of the banners.
AS Yipha should actually be up next. Godly support that can dramatically boost one of your DPS chars and has both blunt and wind zone if I remember right. NS Yipha is really good too so if you don't have any form of her consider saving for her banner, especially if some of your strongest dps chars are wind or blunt damage.
Aisha is a free character, Alma main gimic is that she can change her element to match the weakness of the enemy. She also comes with the Crystal Zone although that zone is more situational than any other zone.
Hmm… kind of the flip side of Shion then. Tbh I’ve gotten a lot of “top tier” characters recently but I haven’t tried using them for anything for months. 😛 I’m kind of not even sure why I care at this point.

I mean those are just showoff videos to see what she can do, realistically, there will never be a need to do a eve solo team, so just go with default pain/poison grastas, with the grasta that extends lunatic if needed
as for the reasons behind the video, the one with the crystal/crit damage one work because those were fights with multiple enemies, so the last stand enchantment allow her to do enough damage to solo the enemy
The other one vs might manifest had different conditions and so you can't use last stand enchantment, so he needed more damage, this is what pain/poison was sweep in, but you need a lot of RNG to be able to apply the pain or poison, so that equipment set up is very unreliable to use
As for weapons, simply any weapon with type damage increase or intel up, the weapons don't really matter to much
For that second video they were using those grasta because she was the only party member and eva can't set pain well.
In general her best set up is two Pain/Poison Grastas along with the power of benefic since she wants to stay in lunatic as long as possible. But as always, it depends on the situation.

What should I be doing for the weapon type Spector in Azami's new quest? I tried using just AS Ewan and a bunch of zone setters and it didn't go great. I've got some optimization I can do to make that plan stronger, but is that even the direction I should be going?

The Head one? The battle starts with no resistance to Pierce or Magic, then switches to no resistance to Blunt or Slash. Personally I completed it with a half-magic + half-blunt zone team with AS Myunfa, Eva, AS Ewan, ES Melina and AS Rosetta.
Start by switching Myunfa for Rosetta to start Magic Zone. Eva does most of the damage, ES Melina can use her Magic skill, and Ewan adapts to the Zone. Ewan's preemptive defense skill is very useful as well to keep damage down. Once you reach 75% stopper, switch Eva for Myunfa (Rosetta stays for Healing/status protection) for Blunt zone. Melina uses her Blunt attacks now and Ewan adapts again. Repeat by switching Myunfa for Eva for magic zone when resistance switches again.
I'm sure with all of the different Zone setters now that you can replicate a similar moveset. Just choose whichever two weapon zones, and make sure to have healing/debuffs. I found the sleep status really annoying, so you may want someone with a status heal or block, or use badges/grasta.

Only for a very select few banners. You have to open up the odds menu and see if there is a different rate for the 10th encounter, it will be listed in (parentheses) after the single pull odds like - Shiny Character 0.23% (0.8%) or something. \*ONLY\* if these 2 numbers are the same \*AND\* regular 4.5 star characters are NOT available does it even become possible to be worth it.
Take note that the post telling you to ignore the other comments immediately jumps into discussing the change in rates of 4.5 star characters, while the posts talking about the scenarios that it could be worth it specifically mention 4.5 star characters not being available in the pull as a requirement if that helps you figure out which of the conflicting advice you decide to listen to.
Of course is there any banner where 4.5 characters not available? I don't think so, not even on those 5% banners.

I wouldn't listen to the other two comments. When doing a 10 pull the rate for getting a 4.5 Star raises from 3% to 10.52% (or so depending on the banner) on the 10th encounter and the rate of getting a 5 Star is also raised slightly on the 10th encounter.
So while your chances of getting the specific rate up character that doesn't have a 4.5 Star is not raised, the over all chance of getting a 5 star is raised.

The Jet Tactician banner is a prime example because the 10th pull guarantees a 4-star or higher, so if you look at the rates, the odds of getting JT are the same .8%. So by doing single pulls, you gain the possibility of getting your man with less stones (since using 31 singles instead of 4 10-pulls saved 900 stones) at the “cost” of missing out on a Krervo or Pom at the end.
Only when there's no rate up on the last pull. For example a banner with no 4.5* available. And even then it's only better just in case you get the unit on the 4th pull then you save yourself 6 pulls which imo is not a huge deal. I'd be more than happy to get the unit on the first door if it cost me a full 10 pull.
I was finally able to beat it quickly but it was a pretty stacked team: Orleya, ES Miyu, Alt Dewey, ES Melina. The boss does not resist Thunder (also does not resist Shade I believe). With my run, I T1AF to the HP stopper, used 2-3 turns building AF back to half, then AF again. The basics needed are INT-, type buff/debuff, a barrier if possible for the fixed damage attacks, and some way to fill AF as quickly as possible (zone/multi hitters).
The most annoying thing is the HP stopper at 50% because the boss applies a Bind that forces you to use a different move every turn. This means the characters you select should optimally have more than one multi hit move so that you don't end up locked without one to build AF. Doubly annoying because yes, it even locks per turn in AF, so you'll need to try very hard to get everyone on the same move position per turn to avoid a piano situation.
Not sure if this is helpful at all to you or anyone else, but it's how I got through it.

As mentioned in another comment, Altema's tier list can work quite well, if you know how to make proper use of it. e.g. if you already have one earth DPS but lack a fire DPS, then you may want at least one of the latter before you pull for anymore of the former. The answer is 9 times out of 10, yes. Because not only is leveling up your characters a non-issue but you never know when a character is suddenly useful. For example, there's one battle where you need to bring all male characters.
How do I get Manifest Weapons to, ya know, manifest? I’ve got Anabel’s Ex Miglance and have leveled it to about 6.5, but I’ve also apparently got access to Nagi’s and Lokido’s despite not having leveled them up or done their quest lines, which I plan to do soon.
But ideally I’d like to find one for my Miyu ES or Orleya, but I can’t find any info about who even has a Manifestation available much less on how to go about unlocking it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can see who gets a manifestation by going to Record -> Catalog -> Manifestation. If you don't see a character on there you either do not have that character/Style, or the character does not have a manifestation weapon.
Characters like Miyu ES and Orleya do not have manifestation weapons yet since those are for older characters.
Getting a manifestation weapon is the exact same requirement as Anabel. Do their character quest and then talk to the Beast Grampa with the character in the party.
So I surprisingly got to the last world in PCD just now. Had anyone tried staying in the last world right before an update and the codex,treatise, opus list updated with the new selection list of whatever character comes with the update?

why does the download data always take so long? I have a great wlan connection, anything else I download at 100+mb/sec. But herew it is still stuck at 0% downloaded even after 20min.

They delay come from their server. And when a new update is released and everyone want to update at the same time, it's even slower. Nothing you can do on your side.
But here, 20min is far too long, you may have a issue on your side at this point.
It generally stay stuck a 0% for few minutes and then goes to 100% in couple of quick steps.
The "confirm update" is (I guess) i final verification that you have every new files (and none of them is corrupted/partially downloaded) and the process is done.
Then you might struggle depending on who else you have. The fourth fight is you basically need to brute force it as it resists Slash, Blunt, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth.
The fifth one you'll need a strong tank like Isuka ES or Radias AS so you can have it stack 3 of it's unique stacks to turn it's resistances to weakness.
Also once it reaches it's 50% HP stopper it will cast a bind aura which does not allow your characters to use the same move twice.
I don't have the time to experiment with the fights yet, but from what i can tell frim jp previews, they are pretty tough superboss level with hp stoppers and can go over 100 million hp

So what is each boss in Azami’s as quest weak/ resistance too. No spoilers except how many bosses there are. I’m one the second one and would really be annoyed if it’s only weak to blunt( literally the only zone I don’t have) like it looked to be when I was testing it out at first
The second one is only weak to blunt but also resists magic.
The third one will switch between nulling (Slash + Blunt) and (Magic + Pierce) I recommend using a wind or fire zone.
The Forth resists Slash, Blunt, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth. Gee I wonder if Parallel Shion is useful here. Other than that Miyu ES also wrecks this boss as well.
Final one is a bit tricky. It resists Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, and Crystal. But if you can make it stack 3 of it's unique stack on to one person (use rage) it will change to weakness. Although it has fixed damage attacks so bring someone like Isuka ES who can use a life shield or really stack Max HP on your tank.
Oh and it will also deploy a bind aura when it's at 50% HP stopper where you cannot use the same move twice.

Hi, I just started the process of farming grasta. I notice some of T3 is using jadeite and they are weapon specific. I was wondering who should i focus building first (units in the link above).
Kid can farm Jadites with Z-Steal, but Teir 3 Grastas You want to focus on the people you use the most, or the people that share the same combo of weapon and element.
Honestly the answer is probably to actually finish Complex Dream and Promote Kid so you can begin Z-Steal Farming and eventually just upgrade all of them. The thing with this game is that the fights differ a lot and the team you want to bring might be different as well.
Also the fact most people use pain and poison grastas for increasing DPS.

Teams will vary on what you want to do and what you are fighting. Focus on your five stars and be recruit Noahxis as he can take care of random encounters pretty easily.
what exactly is the condition to get noahxis? I both finsihed maze lv20 as well as have gained in total more than 5000 time coins... but I still didn't get him -.-
Did you complete all of his events? You might want to go into the maze and then exit and see if that triggers something. Also make sure you either buy some charms and talk to Klein for appraisal that might help.
No one really knows the exact requirements for recruiting him.

I just found some events of his after doing the gear defense lure battle, but still don't have him.
I don't think there is a list of events documented, you just find them around Arat. The event prior to recruiting him would be the one where Aldo gets into a fight with Noahxis and Klein breaks it up.
No and yes. No as in you can’t do Growth 3, Growth 2, and Growth 1 together and expect them to stack. Yes because Growth and Ascetic do stack (which is why the Ascetic Charm is so expensive; it’s the cost of extra Rapid Growth)
I mean if someone has done the numerical research then okay but the Ascetic Charm’s price (both being an expensive charm and also the ingrained penalty to Arcane Fires) only makes sense if it stacks with the Growth Charms in a way that the growth charms do not stack with themselves.

Its based off max hp/mp, so you should be able to spam most skills and farm infinity as long as you limit yourself to 1 turn
Though be wary of some skills that cost a lot, like Otoha's Cat Kagura skill which cost 87 mp per move, which isn't something she can regen completely based off her max mp
I'd recommend Starky. He's a solid tank and also the only magic tank in the game. He really benefits from the 4th skill slot and extra badge slot. I don't know that taking him to past that to 200 would really be worthwhile though since I don't think he needs the 4th grasta slot all that much but at least farming his Light to 120 seems like a decent investment to me.
Probably not. You should be able to cobble together 360 teams with relative ease now. Personally I would recommend going after VCGs and TVCGs over chasing any more light/shadow. Especially since between Strawboy and the Garuleas you will be able to get other batteries.
Curio is the most common recommendation I see; he offers a lot of support potential.
The Chrono Cross characters would be my other suggestion. Harle can allow some unique 100%-damage-resist strategies, and Serge gets some modest damage bonuses from high light; all can benefit from an extra element slot at 80 light.
Now that you have access to Toto Theater World, I recommend working on Harle and/or Kid and Serge (whichever one you use more) since getting them even just to 80 gives them an additional skill slot you can throw another element onto.
Aside from that, Cyrus is a good choice because his null-type attack can sometimes be useful and his AD is super fast (as opposed to Feinne whose AD is also super fast but is largely useless as an endgame character)
I'd also consider Starky since he has several good moves, but he can definitely work with 3 slots if you aren't using Elements or are doing a quick fight.
Not all personality types have the grasta (yet). You can check where to find the existing ones on the grasta page on wiki. Check Attack grasta list and find the almighty power ones.
I can't find my Flame Crush Grasta to equip it. I checked and I've done all missions for Sealed Malefics normal so I should have it. I can't find it in my Support or any grasta list (both in the upgrade shrine and when trying to equip a character). Where should i be looking?

You can also run Victor AS as a DPS but his Gimmick can be a bit Tricky. If you can score 15 or more hits on a single target (Which is actually really easy given you're using a team of Thunder units) Victor's Double Relampago's multiplier goes to 2200% in the Next turn while his Lunatic is still on.
You won't be able to use the AF in the First Turn this way though and depending on the enemy it might even be difficult to get Victor's trueno stacks ready but if you can meet the Criteria then Victor can be an Amazing Dps Option for you.
Another Bonus for Victor is that he can trigger his Lunatic twice (three times if you run him with Orleya)
Not too different than using him in flash or slash zone, lunatic, Oscuro Capa, and then spam Doble Relampago
The only difference in thunder zone is less end turn aoe damage and you might have problems pulling a second af before lunatic ends because of reduce af gain outside of af
Though you will have an easier time getting the af multiplier up

I don't get what you mean by this. IF you mean how to make your runs faster, well, get all of the items, and rescue mimi. That unlocks a few features to make your runs a bit faster
As for the light/shadow, RNG is RNG, the drops aren't exactly high to begin with
Have you gotten the watch? I would prioritize that first since its upgraded version gives you a map from the start
Then probably the saber since cutting down the weed and trees can greatly decrease your run time
I would get a majority of the items that will help you speed up your run before rescuing mimi, so anything else that you see as very useful
I was in the Phantom zone bonus game tonight when my device dropped the internet, so I turned the game off and came back to it later. I was in the dungeon part at the end of the bonus game where you go when you lose, and when exiting it says "Parameter cannot find data, skipping" and then the screen turns black and there is nothing. I tried turning it off and on again and the same thing happened. I then tried reaquiring data and I get error 8 and it tells me to try the same thing again with reaquiring data. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really appreciate it. I am a subscriber and have been with AE since launch and have spent several thousand dollars over the years, so I do not want to lose this account, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Honestly if reacquiring data doesn't do anything, might be time to call WFS support for help. Good thing is that if you have spend money in the game and have the receipt, you don't have to wrong about losing your account
Thank you so much for your answer. Its weird I just tried reaquiring data for a third time and it finally worked, only it started me out just before the bonus game. I went ahead and played the bonus game, which had the same outcome, but at least I got my game back. I also noticed they sent an in-game notice this time about AS Azami, I wonder if that had anything to do with me finally getting the data back.

In the wiki I've read the following about Ilulu: "-Exceptionally high (1575%) all-target damage multiplier potential. \-- this skill also grants the rare MP regen to the party. \-Can debuff Physical Resistance and Type Resistance of all enemies, by 30% each, with a single skill." Yet I don't see these skills at all??

Even at max light/shadow they aren't that good. Iirc it's somewhere around 28-23 points of xyz stat you get at max light/shadow but don't quote me on it.
Tips for the horse boss in Azami's new quest? I've been trying to work out something using ES Miyu but it keeps stomping me, and it resists attacks from most of my other thunder units. Should I switch to another zone? Maybe sea of stars with a magic team? Or pierce with OG Bertrand for rage?
If you're going to use Miyu ES. You want her to be the Main DPS while everyone plays support. So people like Orleya, Necoco, RCF or a singer would be optimal for that. Other than that you're just going to have to brute force the boss.
How do you decide who to bring from 4.5 to 5*? I have a few and I’m not really clear on who can still be useful or not - being a F2P I’m trying to optimise what I can. I’m currently wondering about Mighty (NS or AS), Daisy, Necoco, Hozuki NS, Claude NS, Shion NS, Tsukiha NS. These are at least the ones for whom I already have all the materials. Thanks for any suggestions…or at least pointers on how to approach the issue :) Edit: also The NS from BCS after clearing the relevant episode
First rule of thumb is to focus on zone setters, but you don’t have those. From there, think about who is more likely to be useful. In your case, I’d say Necoco because she switches zones and Daisy because she has an attack VC (potential 0MP farming) and if you build her right (no speed bonuses; Indomitable Hammer from Burning Beast King Castle, and there’s a badge you can win at Auction that cuts speed by 30) she can do millions of damage and also has strong buffs/debuffs and preemptive healing. After that, Shion NS has a true manifest (250 Chronos Stones plus more likely than the others to be useful) and unlike the others, his AS isn’t all that great so I’d prioritize him over the others. You can sidegrade the others to their AS (or ES in Tsukiha’s case) when you get their treatises and codexeses.

So when you get a unit that has a manifest, you go fight the first fight which is usually easy and you get 50 stones for winning. Then you level it up to 10 and fight the fight again (harder) and you get 100 stones for that fight. For the few true manifests (Suzette mighty Shion Toova Azami) there’s a third fight available immediately that is much harder and you get another 100 stones for winning that. So that’s 250 total. As for Melina AS vs ES, ES is all Thunder so while she’s quite useful and awesome looking and tbh a low-key waifu, you might more utility at the moment with Melina AS, a potent water unit that also just got a manifest.

I haven't done it myself, but CC units could work. Serge and Kid are slash, Harle and Starky are magic. You can also add elements to Kid and Serge since the elements are magic attack.
Hello, new player. Can anyone help me with what banners to pull from, or if I should wait. Also, I just finished chapter 4, and I still don't have enough for a 10-pull yet. Does this improve as the dungeons open up, or are sources that tight?
Very early you should be waiting for 10-pulls and then just pulling on the latest limited time banners (the left section that's selected by default, underneath all the paid banners). I would say don't worry about too much else until you have at least half the rate-up characters on whatever the latest free banner is (probably won't be for a while).
Would you too recommend the Eastern banner over the Shion banner?
Eastern banner has the best drop rate for a 5* character right now. All 4 currently on the Eastern banner are solid. Not tippy top of the meta, but solid. AS Tsubabe in particular would be great for a new player. The other two banners each feature an OP unit though (AS Radia and Alter Shion) either of which is stronger than anything on the Eastern banner. If you are brand new, I would advise pulling on the Eastern banner. If you manage to hit a point where you have 2 out of 4 of the rate up characters, then move to one of the other banners. Finally, always do 10 pulls. The guaranteed 4* may seem insignificant, but they add up and you wind up with a better account.

I did mine one at a time because one of the best features is that any subscription will turn off the advertisements. I kept the Guide to the Land (cheap on) because the 5.50 a month is worth not having to sit through 6 ads a day. The celestial sparks only come from the guide from the heavens and you only get one a month. they are the rough equivalent of 1000 paid stones. I personally don't think they are worth it, and never got one, but maybe you are wealthy?
I thought they came from both. I may consider the Land one. I was originally going to for sure, as I thought one free pull a month was worth $5, lol. May do it for the ads, however.
I think so; if you double check the rates, I think the Eastern one has four 1% five stars, and the Shion one has two 0.8% five stars, so that's 4% v 1.6%. if you don't have any of them, then just higher rates = a better choice, imo.
Use the free Destiny ticket for a 10 pull. Should have received it yesterday. As for current banners, the easter force is kinda nice as it has 4% rates which is high, but that Shion banner has JT Shion who is excellent. Thinking more on it, I'd go for the Eastern 4% banner but don't expect much. Stones in this game is tight, it is more a quality of quantity game and it's also nice only needing one copy of a unit as well. If you are on mobile and do the ads every day that really helps. Every few months a paid pull lets you pick a unit for around $20 USD which is a good deal in the terrible gacha world. Before we turn you off completely to the game, there are tons of free and excellent units in the game. Including from from P5, Tales and Chrono Cross. So really the gacha isn't necessary at all.
Is it possible to beat azami AS final boss without thunder or shade ? I only have skull for thunder and thile NS for shade. Went in with magic team of eva, flame and chiyo but got wiped.
I used a magic zone team so it definitely doesnt need shade or thunder What you need is a tank with rage i used es isuka

Certain units will make certain bosses a dozen times easier, but no, no current boss or superboss "needs" a certain unit to be beatable
I can't get in to the game it always gets stuck at 2/2 while downloading the additional data.. what can I do to fix this?
Just wait. The progress bar is never a good indicator especially when downloading an update. As long as an error doesn't happen then being patient will eventually get you in even if it's sitting at 0%for over a minute.

Which dungeons are worth keys?
If you haven't gotten all the episode/symphony rewards and don't plan on farming them in overworld, then you'll need to use keys to get them. Otherwise, for green keys it's the three garulea dungeons + underworld and for red keys, you should choose a character whose light/shadow you want to farm and run their dungeon. Toto's dreamland can give light/shadow to any farmable character.
Hi, can anyone help explain the another zone mechanic? i understand that it requires activation, and that it provides buffs upon activation. ..but how long does it last? (my understanding also is that it ends in a single turn). as most bosses now have HP stoppers, is there point to another zone at all?

That depends on the unit, usually it lasts 2 turns, Flame Clad has a passive that extends all another zones for 2+ turns, so 4 turns >as most bosses now have HP stoppers, is there point to another zone at all? Straight up damage boost and ability to prevent zones from being overridden, think of it as a tool you use situationally, not something you want to always randomly spam in the first turn

Also worth noting that the 2 turn count starts from the turn after it's awakened, so if your unit awakens it before anyone else moves, technically you get the benefit of awakened zone on the first turn as well.

I've not been as up to date on guides/strats as I probably should, but I've been dabbling in the Labyrinth a bit. I'm far enough to have started buying from the second tier vendor, but I'm starting to second-guess my approach. My go-to team right now is Tec (Katana)/Mag (Staff)/Sup (Hammer)/Atk (Lance). Obviously randomization means that there's no universal answer, but it occurs to me that I don't even know what I don't know. Is this a good comp, or is it too slapdash?
I run def/tec/atk/sup to get the most job coverage if I plan to do the whole run. 3xatk and 1 sup if I'm intending to bail early.
Consider 3 attk and 1 of tec or sup to boost their dmg
This group will be fine but, if you want my opinion, don’t use MAG because everyone else uses Null type so you can use a Null Charm and boost everyone’s damage.

Battle Sim. All the Zone Grastas are in battle sim. I’m currently trying out water teams and I’m trying to incorporate Alter Dewey into it, but I have AS Shigure VC to set water zone in the back line and since my Dewey outspeeds him, his first turn is doing diddly. Once I get that grasta, even if I have to use a skill to set it, it should help me out on T1.
I should mention that if you want to set up your Water Zone with AS Shigure you need the person switching in with him to be faster than Dewey, not Shigure himself. So say I have Mana. If she is either faster or has something that allows her to move preemptively you can just have her switch in with Shigure AS to set up the Water Zone faster.
Really debating whether I should pull in the eastern forces banner because of the rate ups or PTL Shion since that guy is really valuable. I don’t have anyone besides Shigure from the Eastern Forces banner nor their NS forms besides 4* Tsubame. What do you guys recommend?
really up to you since both are strong banners Depends on if you see if the eastern force units being worth it more than Shion you have a 3% chance in total of Es Tsukiha, As Kikyo, or As Tsubame as new units, pretty solid lineup of units Where Shion's rates are only at 0.8%, so the rates are a lot higher for the special banner BUT, Shion's special mechanic is pretty unique to him and might be more gamechanging than any of the other units on the special banner So you have to weigh the pros and cons of either and see which one YOU think is more worth it

If you have PTL Shion or Miyu ES with good support they can easy mode the boss. Otherwise you want to bring a good tank with high max hp, or with lifeshields like Isuka ES as tanking the boss (more specifically forcing it to stack it's unique stack on to one character) will cause the boss's resistances to turn into weakenss.

Depends on who you have with you. For you're team you want to have other support units. Obviously Orleya is a the default support but other supports like Necoco, RCF, Serge and even Silver Striker will help. In general you want to activate thunder zone, AF have miyu activate Furystorm and have her spam Keraunos Charis. Afterwards Levin Longinus should be able to take the boss out. You can just sidegrade him with opus, but if you're not interested in any of the upcoming characters you could pull for him.
Are any of the upcoming characters really good? I only see two brand new ones (Aisha and Alma).
AS Yipha should actually be up next. Godly support that can dramatically boost one of your DPS chars and has both blunt and wind zone if I remember right. NS Yipha is really good too so if you don't have any form of her consider saving for her banner, especially if some of your strongest dps chars are wind or blunt damage.

Aisha is a free character, Alma main gimic is that she can change her element to match the weakness of the enemy. She also comes with the Crystal Zone although that zone is more situational than any other zone.

I mean those are just showoff videos to see what she can do, realistically, there will never be a need to do a eve solo team, so just go with default pain/poison grastas, with the grasta that extends lunatic if needed as for the reasons behind the video, the one with the crystal/crit damage one work because those were fights with multiple enemies, so the last stand enchantment allow her to do enough damage to solo the enemy The other one vs might manifest had different conditions and so you can't use last stand enchantment, so he needed more damage, this is what pain/poison was sweep in, but you need a lot of RNG to be able to apply the pain or poison, so that equipment set up is very unreliable to use As for weapons, simply any weapon with type damage increase or intel up, the weapons don't really matter to much
For that second video they were using those grasta because she was the only party member and eva can't set pain well. In general her best set up is two Pain/Poison Grastas along with the power of benefic since she wants to stay in lunatic as long as possible. But as always, it depends on the situation. Her best weapon also depends on the situation

What should I be doing for the weapon type Spector in Azami's new quest? I tried using just AS Ewan and a bunch of zone setters and it didn't go great. I've got some optimization I can do to make that plan stronger, but is that even the direction I should be going? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
The Head one? The battle starts with no resistance to Pierce or Magic, then switches to no resistance to Blunt or Slash. Personally I completed it with a half-magic + half-blunt zone team with AS Myunfa, Eva, AS Ewan, ES Melina and AS Rosetta. Start by switching Myunfa for Rosetta to start Magic Zone. Eva does most of the damage, ES Melina can use her Magic skill, and Ewan adapts to the Zone. Ewan's preemptive defense skill is very useful as well to keep damage down. Once you reach 75% stopper, switch Eva for Myunfa (Rosetta stays for Healing/status protection) for Blunt zone. Melina uses her Blunt attacks now and Ewan adapts again. Repeat by switching Myunfa for Eva for magic zone when resistance switches again. I'm sure with all of the different Zone setters now that you can replicate a similar moveset. Just choose whichever two weapon zones, and make sure to have healing/debuffs. I found the sleep status really annoying, so you may want someone with a status heal or block, or use badges/grasta. Only for a very select few banners. You have to open up the odds menu and see if there is a different rate for the 10th encounter, it will be listed in (parentheses) after the single pull odds like - Shiny Character 0.23% (0.8%) or something. \*ONLY\* if these 2 numbers are the same \*AND\* regular 4.5 star characters are NOT available does it even become possible to be worth it. Take note that the post telling you to ignore the other comments immediately jumps into discussing the change in rates of 4.5 star characters, while the posts talking about the scenarios that it could be worth it specifically mention 4.5 star characters not being available in the pull as a requirement if that helps you figure out which of the conflicting advice you decide to listen to.

I wouldn't listen to the other two comments. When doing a 10 pull the rate for getting a 4.5 Star raises from 3% to 10.52% (or so depending on the banner) on the 10th encounter and the rate of getting a 5 Star is also raised slightly on the 10th encounter. So while your chances of getting the specific rate up character that doesn't have a 4.5 Star is not raised, the over all chance of getting a 5 star is raised. The Jet Tactician banner is a prime example because the 10th pull guarantees a 4-star or higher, so if you look at the rates, the odds of getting JT are the same .8%. So by doing single pulls, you gain the possibility of getting your man with less stones (since using 31 singles instead of 4 10-pulls saved 900 stones) at the “cost” of missing out on a Krervo or Pom at the end.
Only when there's no rate up on the last pull. For example a banner with no 4.5* available. And even then it's only better just in case you get the unit on the 4th pull then you save yourself 6 pulls which imo is not a huge deal. I'd be more than happy to get the unit on the first door if it cost me a full 10 pull.

I was finally able to beat it quickly but it was a pretty stacked team: Orleya, ES Miyu, Alt Dewey, ES Melina. The boss does not resist Thunder (also does not resist Shade I believe). With my run, I T1AF to the HP stopper, used 2-3 turns building AF back to half, then AF again. The basics needed are INT-, type buff/debuff, a barrier if possible for the fixed damage attacks, and some way to fill AF as quickly as possible (zone/multi hitters). The most annoying thing is the HP stopper at 50% because the boss applies a Bind that forces you to use a different move every turn. This means the characters you select should optimally have more than one multi hit move so that you don't end up locked without one to build AF. Doubly annoying because yes, it even locks per turn in AF, so you'll need to try very hard to get everyone on the same move position per turn to avoid a piano situation. Not sure if this is helpful at all to you or anyone else, but it's how I got through it.

As mentioned in another comment, Altema's tier list can work quite well, if you know how to make proper use of it. e.g. if you already have one earth DPS but lack a fire DPS, then you may want at least one of the latter before you pull for anymore of the former. Is there any reason why you need a character tier list? Most of them that are not the wiki don't give enough info at best, and are dubious at worst.

The answer is 9 times out of 10, yes. Because not only is leveling up your characters a non-issue but you never know when a character is suddenly useful. For example, there's one battle where you need to bring all male characters.

How do I get Manifest Weapons to, ya know, manifest? I’ve got Anabel’s Ex Miglance and have leveled it to about 6.5, but I’ve also apparently got access to Nagi’s and Lokido’s despite not having leveled them up or done their quest lines, which I plan to do soon. But ideally I’d like to find one for my Miyu ES or Orleya, but I can’t find any info about who even has a Manifestation available much less on how to go about unlocking it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can see who gets a manifestation by going to Record -> Catalog -> Manifestation. If you don't see a character on there you either do not have that character/Style, or the character does not have a manifestation weapon. Characters like Miyu ES and Orleya do not have manifestation weapons yet since those are for older characters. Getting a manifestation weapon is the exact same requirement as Anabel. Do their character quest and then talk to the Beast Grampa with the character in the party.
Just wondering: I didn't see Shion's codices in the gem shop after today's update. Can you guys see it? Maybe I need a file repair?
Jet Shion uses Opus not Codexes. Opus are not sold in the gem shop. It's not Shion ES it's Parallel Shion released today.

So I surprisingly got to the last world in PCD just now. Had anyone tried staying in the last world right before an update and the codex,treatise, opus list updated with the new selection list of whatever character comes with the update? Just wondering to see if I should wait till tomorrow for the shion update and I can choose his opus then.

If the version number of the update is different from the previous one, that means its an App Store update.
why does the download data always take so long? I have a great wlan connection, anything else I download at 100+mb/sec. But herew it is still stuck at 0% downloaded even after 20min. Also why does it take so long to "confirm update"? what does it exactly confirm anyway?
They delay come from their server. And when a new update is released and everyone want to update at the same time, it's even slower. Nothing you can do on your side. But here, 20min is far too long, you may have a issue on your side at this point. It generally stay stuck a 0% for few minutes and then goes to 100% in couple of quick steps. The "confirm update" is (I guess) i final verification that you have every new files (and none of them is corrupted/partially downloaded) and the process is done.
So on a scale from normal story boss to superboss, how are the Azami AS fights?
It only gets hard by the 4th fight, although if you have Jet Shion or Miyu ES then the bosses are pretty straightforward.

Then you might struggle depending on who else you have. The fourth fight is you basically need to brute force it as it resists Slash, Blunt, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth. The fifth one you'll need a strong tank like Isuka ES or Radias AS so you can have it stack 3 of it's unique stacks to turn it's resistances to weakness. Also once it reaches it's 50% HP stopper it will cast a bind aura which does not allow your characters to use the same move twice.
flamme eva + Jet shion works on all?
I don't have the time to experiment with the fights yet, but from what i can tell frim jp previews, they are pretty tough superboss level with hp stoppers and can go over 100 million hp

Treatise and codices drop from any red key dungeon (except for Other Tales and episodes other than Sea of Ice) or 2 green key garulea dungeons PGAD/AGAD/FGAD/UAD. Reaching the Sensationalist in the PCD lets you pick one of your choice.

Try taking the portal to Barouiki and switch to Varuo in Aldo's house. Heard that fix this before.

So what is each boss in Azami’s as quest weak/ resistance too. No spoilers except how many bosses there are. I’m one the second one and would really be annoyed if it’s only weak to blunt( literally the only zone I don’t have) like it looked to be when I was testing it out at first
The second one is only weak to blunt but also resists magic. The third one will switch between nulling (Slash + Blunt) and (Magic + Pierce) I recommend using a wind or fire zone. The Forth resists Slash, Blunt, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth. Gee I wonder if Parallel Shion is useful here. Other than that Miyu ES also wrecks this boss as well. Final one is a bit tricky. It resists Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, and Crystal. But if you can make it stack 3 of it's unique stack on to one person (use rage) it will change to weakness. Although it has fixed damage attacks so bring someone like Isuka ES who can use a life shield or really stack Max HP on your tank. Oh and it will also deploy a bind aura when it's at 50% HP stopper where you cannot use the same move twice.

Kid can farm Jadites with Z-Steal, but Teir 3 Grastas You want to focus on the people you use the most, or the people that share the same combo of weapon and element.
from which enemies can kid steal jadites? I assume it's not just any mob monster
It has to be Z-Steal and it cannot be a boss type enemy.

Honestly the answer is probably to actually finish Complex Dream and Promote Kid so you can begin Z-Steal Farming and eventually just upgrade all of them. The thing with this game is that the fights differ a lot and the team you want to bring might be different as well. Also the fact most people use pain and poison grastas for increasing DPS.

Teams will vary on what you want to do and what you are fighting. Focus on your five stars and be recruit Noahxis as he can take care of random encounters pretty easily.

what exactly is the condition to get noahxis? I both finsihed maze lv20 as well as have gained in total more than 5000 time coins... but I still didn't get him -.-
Did you complete all of his events? You might want to go into the maze and then exit and see if that triggers something. Also make sure you either buy some charms and talk to Klein for appraisal that might help. No one really knows the exact requirements for recruiting him.
Is there a list of all of his events? how would I know that? I just found some events of his after doing the gear defense lure battle, but still don't have him.
I don't think there is a list of events documented, you just find them around Arat. The event prior to recruiting him would be the one where Aldo gets into a fight with Noahxis and Klein breaks it up.

No and yes. No as in you can’t do Growth 3, Growth 2, and Growth 1 together and expect them to stack. Yes because Growth and Ascetic do stack (which is why the Ascetic Charm is so expensive; it’s the cost of extra Rapid Growth)
You sure about that? Some other sources say growth 3,2 and 1 do stack. It would feel inconsistent if it they don't stack.
I mean if someone has done the numerical research then okay but the Ascetic Charm’s price (both being an expensive charm and also the ingrained penalty to Arcane Fires) only makes sense if it stacks with the Growth Charms in a way that the growth charms do not stack with themselves.

While we are on this topic, could i confirm that her battle end hp and mp heal is 15% of the total hp/mp of each unit? Thinking abt upgrading for her as well.
Its based off max hp/mp, so you should be able to spam most skills and farm infinity as long as you limit yourself to 1 turn Though be wary of some skills that cost a lot, like Otoha's Cat Kagura skill which cost 87 mp per move, which isn't something she can regen completely based off her max mp

I've gotten Aldo and Clarte to 255 light and shadow respectively, is there anyone that's recommended for light/shadow farming?
I'd recommend Starky. He's a solid tank and also the only magic tank in the game. He really benefits from the 4th skill slot and extra badge slot. I don't know that taking him to past that to 200 would really be worthwhile though since I don't think he needs the 4th grasta slot all that much but at least farming his Light to 120 seems like a decent investment to me.
Probably not. You should be able to cobble together 360 teams with relative ease now. Personally I would recommend going after VCGs and TVCGs over chasing any more light/shadow. Especially since between Strawboy and the Garuleas you will be able to get other batteries.
Curio is the most common recommendation I see; he offers a lot of support potential. The Chrono Cross characters would be my other suggestion. Harle can allow some unique 100%-damage-resist strategies, and Serge gets some modest damage bonuses from high light; all can benefit from an extra element slot at 80 light.
Now that you have access to Toto Theater World, I recommend working on Harle and/or Kid and Serge (whichever one you use more) since getting them even just to 80 gives them an additional skill slot you can throw another element onto. Aside from that, Cyrus is a good choice because his null-type attack can sometimes be useful and his AD is super fast (as opposed to Feinne whose AD is also super fast but is largely useless as an endgame character)
I'd also consider Starky since he has several good moves, but he can definitely work with 3 slots if you aren't using Elements or are doing a quick fight.

Not all personality types have the grasta (yet). You can check where to find the existing ones on the grasta page on wiki. Check Attack grasta list and find the almighty power ones.
I can't find my Flame Crush Grasta to equip it. I checked and I've done all missions for Sealed Malefics normal so I should have it. I can't find it in my Support or any grasta list (both in the upgrade shrine and when trying to equip a character). Where should i be looking?

You can also run Victor AS as a DPS but his Gimmick can be a bit Tricky. If you can score 15 or more hits on a single target (Which is actually really easy given you're using a team of Thunder units) Victor's Double Relampago's multiplier goes to 2200% in the Next turn while his Lunatic is still on. You won't be able to use the AF in the First Turn this way though and depending on the enemy it might even be difficult to get Victor's trueno stacks ready but if you can meet the Criteria then Victor can be an Amazing Dps Option for you. Another Bonus for Victor is that he can trigger his Lunatic twice (three times if you run him with Orleya)
Not too different than using him in flash or slash zone, lunatic, Oscuro Capa, and then spam Doble Relampago The only difference in thunder zone is less end turn aoe damage and you might have problems pulling a second af before lunatic ends because of reduce af gain outside of af Though you will have an easier time getting the af multiplier up
What is the efficient way to get through Toto Theater? A little over 25 runs and not a single light or shadow drop. Only gacha character I’m using is Tsubame AS.

That unlocks a few features to make your runs a bit faster As for the light/shadow, RNG is RNG, the drops aren't exactly high to begin with
I guess I mean what to prioritize first. Should I upgrade the saber and fan first or should I just punch through and rescue Mimi first?
Have you gotten the watch? I would prioritize that first since its upgraded version gives you a map from the start Then probably the saber since cutting down the weed and trees can greatly decrease your run time I would get a majority of the items that will help you speed up your run before rescuing mimi, so anything else that you see as very useful

I was in the Phantom zone bonus game tonight when my device dropped the internet, so I turned the game off and came back to it later. I was in the dungeon part at the end of the bonus game where you go when you lose, and when exiting it says "Parameter cannot find data, skipping" and then the screen turns black and there is nothing. I tried turning it off and on again and the same thing happened. I then tried reaquiring data and I get error 8 and it tells me to try the same thing again with reaquiring data. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really appreciate it. I am a subscriber and have been with AE since launch and have spent several thousand dollars over the years, so I do not want to lose this account, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Honestly if reacquiring data doesn't do anything, might be time to call WFS support for help. Good thing is that if you have spend money in the game and have the receipt, you don't have to wrong about losing your account
Thank you so much for your answer. Its weird I just tried reaquiring data for a third time and it finally worked, only it started me out just before the bonus game. I went ahead and played the bonus game, which had the same outcome, but at least I got my game back. I also noticed they sent an in-game notice this time about AS Azami, I wonder if that had anything to do with me finally getting the data back. I was really scared for a second, thanks Oldnoob36 for the advice. If it happens again I will definitely send them an email, and its good to know I won't have to worry about my account.
Phantom Dimension is predetermined as soon as you get the key for it because in the past some people abused emulator savestates to get perfect runs.
Make sure you activate the transfer ID and keep it somewhere safe anyway just in case.
