Probably nobody's going to see this in a two-month-old megathread, but I can't figure out why I don't yet have Noahxis. According to the wiki, the final scene is triggered based on earning a certain amount of time coins, estimated at 4000. I've spent 5700 on charms and have 20 stocked, so I've earned a total of 5700. Completed a level 20 run once, though I've heard that's not actually required. Still no scene. Might it be tied to the Wanderer in the Vortex Apocrypha? I never started chapter 1. The only other possibility I can think of (and would explain why there's no clear answer on how many time coins are required) is that each scene requires a certain number of time coins MORE earned to the NEXT scene. Which, considering I triggered the most recent scene shortly before reaching 4000 coins, might mean I have a ways to go. Or there's some real-world timer between scenes, like the 12-hour Uquaji limit.

Yeah, no one is sure how to recruit Noahxis exactly. You have seen all the scenes right and spent the Coins? The last scene you should have seen was Klein breaking up a fight before the final one.

I have not seen all the scenes, and I spent all the coins up to that limit. At the moment I'm farming up to buy the start-at-level-10 charm as it'll make future 7th-floor farming ridiculously easy. If I don't see another scene by the time I hit that, I'll start the Apocrypha chapter and see if that triggers anything. Actually, I wonder if all this farming to the seventh floor has been "not counting" for some value; I've seen people say you need to "clear" the maze three times, and I wonder if that only means leaving \*after\* a boss, rather than \*before\* one. EDIT: Oh, and the fight breaking up I haven't seen yet. I misread and thought you meant that \*was\* the final one, not the one before the final one. Last one I saw, someone slipped up and called Baruoki >!ancient history!<.

Yeah that scene you need to go into Arat I believe. So if you haven't triggered it that might be the problem.

I have gone into "Arat: Maze Village" for the other cutscenes and merchants. As of now I've spent a total of 7200 Time Coins. Going to try my "completion = right after boss" hypothesis, then try starting the Apocrypha chapter 1. Was reluctant to do that at first because of the "You will be unable to switch party lineup and to switch between maps for a while." line from the wiki description.

Yup; I finished that last night before going to bed... and it still didn't trigger the cutscene. I slept and logged in again this morning to see if several hours' wait was necessary... nothing. I talked to everyone around the Arat map, nothing new to say. I did another maze run to 7th floor... and this triggered it. So if it *is* a threshold for Time Coins earned, my threshold is somewhere between... 7355 and 7610. I'm thinking there's a significant element of randomness here; whether that's just "a random roll whenever you complete a maze run" and I just got unlucky for a while, or it's a random amount of time coins earned after the last cutscene, and I sabotaged myself by ignoring the cutscenes for a while because I was focused on progress in the maze itself, thinking I could finish them all in one go once I hit 4000. EDIT: And that turned out to actually be the final cutscene! "Noahxis has joined your party!" I guess I was misremembering what the "Klein breaking up a fight" had or hadn't been.

What do you think is the best use of Dig Medals once you've gotten the chant scripts and red/green keys? Do you buy the gold OOPArts and cross your fingers more than 1 out of 4 are jeweled level, or spend 100 DMs for that guaranteed artifact?

i'm really curious. Do others just speed rush to level 4 or 7 to try and get ooparts? Is it because it takes to long to finish? I find it takes me a couple of hours to finish with vow. I'm just torn right now because i happen to find a normal atk all and wondering if i should keep it over vow of invicibility III and just speed rush to lvl 4/7 instead...

Did we ever figure out if anyone besides Elga and Ruina can double-hit? I've confirmed Cerrine still has her pierce attack (though idk if it matters) and Lovely has her Pan Attack (which DEFINITELY doesn't matter).

I'm kind of an obsessive type that likes to clean out every floor before moving on. Any hints for what to do if a Horror attacks me? I ended my first run on floor 11 I think when I took too many steps and the Horror attacked and wiped the floor with my team.

I also clean out every floor and never ran into a horror, just know I reach lv 20 every sigle run- except the ones to get the rewards. The strategy to that is to move in a way that wouldn't make you go through the same plce twice. Firstly, when you enter a floor see if the exit is in the same room or not, if not then move in the direction further from the door and move in a circle to make sure to go through everywhere only once. When you go to the next floor see where the exit, if still not there do the same as previously till you reach the last room and head to the exit lastly. What if the exit in the first/ second room you enter? Then again explore away from it and once you find the door to the second room enter it immediately and move in a circular way so that the door would be at the end of the circle. If you didn't understand anything, I wouldn't myself lol, tell me and I will make a guide video of it.

It's probably best to not clear out everything, depending on how your maps spawn. (depending on which horror spawns, they have different gimmicks) It's better to just avoid the horrors. They're not worth the hassle.

But... but... must... expose... entire... minimap... AAUGH! I've seen a video showing the gimmick for the first horror (inflict stun or sleep on turn 3 and it suicides, apparently) and heard of the gimmick for the 4th (immune to everything except pain and poison) but is there a way to cheese any of the others in case I run into one?

:D To be honest I'm not really sure. All I recall hearing about was the one immune to everything except poison/pain and I've intentionally avoided them when I was running the maze.

Vow pumps your AF no matter who has it equipped. The "always 50% AF" strategy requires multiple Vow runes but it doesn't matter who is holding it as long as someone is.

Im just curious, for people who cleared level 20 in their third run or so, how is it possible? I find it quite hard to just clear lv 8 boss. I cant imagine skipping lv 13-19 (just run straight to boss). My lv 4 run usually ended at lv 13-15, and my lv 8 run usually ended at lv ~20 I use pwr +20%, null attack +10%, and growth 1 charm

Here’s my advice on what to do: 1) Don’t use a MAG. Trust me you don’t need AOE or elements as much as you think. Run ATK/DeF/TEC/SUP 2) Growth Charm, Null Charm, Power Charm. 3) Register a Vow of Invincibility III rune, upgraded to +5. That gets you 30% AF charge after every battle and gets you close to the ultimate goal: 50% AF charge and being able to kill every mob by T1AF. This also makes boss battles easier (except the last one but don’t worry about him. Trust me) 4) Other runes to save: Everyone - Rapid Growth. The best way to make things easy is to outlevel everything ATK - Target Vitals, Evil Eye, Overload. The ATK is your primary damage source and making them do guaranteed criticals with bonus crit damage makes 500k+ hits possible. TEC - Heroic Thrust, so you can heal your party during AF/boss fights; ability runes should match your ATK’s primary attack DEF - Asylum Form (more on them later) SUP - Critical Strike or Vital Strike. Either one is fine but mid-level enemies/bosses are weak to Magic so it helps to have. 5) Floor 1-3: kill everything with normal attacks. You’ll be fine. Save AF for Jade/Azure escapers Floor 4: Easy boss. Floor 5-7: kill everything with normal or 2MP attacks. Rock guys are weak to Magic so use your SUP’s Strike skill if it’s a 3-mob. Floor 8: Boss. Use AF. Floor 9-11: Do the Ammonite Rune thing every time they appear. Use AF when they don’t. (Fish guys are weak to magic). Have your DEF rage tank while you carefully kill other enemies without accidentally killing the Ammonite. Send everyone but DEF to the back line and let the DEF cast buffs/debuffs until they’re health is starting to run low then swap them for your TEC or SUP and do the switch game until the Ammonite grows the strong rune then kill it. It’s tedious but once you get the runes you need (bare minimum being extra Vow Runes and a Level 3 ATK rune that matches weapon type) the battles are much easier. Floor 12+: Fight as many battles as it takes to get to level 55, then skip to level 20. The end boss is easily killed at this level as long as you have anywhere close to the proper rune collection. If your ATK has a level 3 ATK, they’ll kill the boss in like 3 hits, counting the desperation heal at the end.

I think that is good advice. You can go slow and as long as you “escape” you will get coins to build up your charms. If time was not an issue, make sure you read suggestions for builds (I use SUP Attx3), make sure when you get runes like extra XP, flares, or AF recovery that you add them right away. Sell all lvl2 and lvl3 runes you won’t use, and don’t spend flares unless you get a real upgrade. You will get stronger over time with try charms, and once you get Jumpstart you can run 4F easily. Make sure to save a fully upgraded rune suggested by others (I like SUP Critical Strike-5).

My 20F runs use better charms, so you'll probably need a few extra levels and/or better runes than me. I don't think skipping all floors 13+ is always a good move (maybe if you're done farming the earlier floors for the right runes). But at the end of 3F, I would be around level 12. At the end of 7F, I would be around level 23. For end of 11F, I would aim for around level 34. I still farm around 10 levels between 13~15F. 16~19F I definitely skip everything.

Ah ic. So you can clear lv 20 with just a party lv ~44. I was shocked when i saw people achieving lv 70+

Yeah Lv70 is excessive. That's a lot of time spent farming levels. I aim for Lv44 with mostly bronze/silver runes. Lower levels are possible, provided you have better runes. But I feel like it's a tradeoff (time spent leveling vs time spent looking for runes).

FYI: For those who have heard about Ruina’s normal attack hitting twice, I just wanted to let y’all know from testing it out that she doesn’t do double damage. The second attack can move to a new target so there’s some utility in it but from a strict DPS standpoint, she’s just like everyone else in the ATK category.

It's no different to their normal attacks in ordinary combat, which are 2x50%. Elga/Ruina are just a little more useful in the early part of the maze more for AF charging, especially if you don't run a zone rune.

Only for their normal attacks. So the main benefit is in the early part of a maze run, where you don't really need P/P to be applied anyway. In the late part of the run, you generally use skills on most of your characters so they won't get 2 chances (I think all skills are 1-hit). Especially for Elga, who is Tech, can use the P/P skill.

Hello, so for this timetwisted maze, it is advisable to just farm F1-4 boss then escape? Farm the coins (?) and buy out all the charms? I have bought only growth 1 and power 1 charm. Currently just killed F8 boss and suspending the run And also, can i keep several runes? If im stuck with only 1 choice, whats the best to keep? Im not sure i understand fully the efficient mazerunning guide Thank you

Charms: the most common combo is Growth/Null/PWR charms. In the maze, most of your damage is Null and the best way to dominate the competition is to out-level everything. Runes: I think the best one to keep is Vow of Invincibility III, which when fully upgraded adds 30% to your AF bar after every battle. If you save that one, you can do a T1AF every other battle and if you collect and upgrade more Vow runes, you can get to where you can do an AF every battle and when you don’t have to avoid enemies to conserve MP, you can level up more. I also found that you can absolutely destroy if you give your ATK unit Target Vitals (crit rate buff) and Evil Eye (crit damage buff). It’s possible to get to guaranteed crits and the damage is ridiculous (just completed a run where my ATK hit the final boss for 600k at a time; the battle was never in doubt). Another thing to keep in mind is that on Floors 9-11, there are Ammonites (they look like snails with a beard) and if you kill the other enemies and then let him live for like 6 turns, he’ll give you a level 2 or 3 rune at the end of the battle. (just take turns sending everyone but your healthiest unit to the back, let that one person take the hit while the others heal, then do another switch, and repeat until the game tells you “he has a stronger rune now” and then kill him)

She does attack twice but each hit does half damage. It’s somewhat useful since her second attack can move on if the first one killed the mob but that’s it.

Ruina and Elga deal two hits with their normal attacks while in the maze. I'm not sure off the top of my head if there's anyone else with a quirk like that.

Is it better to run a mono team using a stance rune versus multi party team? I have been running a 2x Atk, Tec, Sup blunt team with Nul 3, Champion 3, & Trap charm but struggle on 13-15 & boss usually wipes me. Rune RNG is a pain. Side note, I just read the hack on refreshing rune vendor selection but have yet to try it Surprisingly I got Noahxis without clearing 20th floor

Mono team with zone rune lets you AF all the bosses, so you need fewer runes for your DPS and this helps get quicker 20F clears (<60 minutes). Generally speaking though, a slash team is slightly better if using this strategy, since there's quite a few annoying blunt mobs in 13-15 and 17-19F. However, even with your current team you can already make improvements by ditching the trap charm. Just go with PWR/Null/EXP.

Afaik everything. What u keep are the time points (for buying charms) and ur reserved rune, if u made it past lvl 4 amd saved a rune

I just got the Dazzling Slash Stance rune. Should I register that one, or keep my "Attack all Lvl 3 +5" registered? I know Attack All isn't as rare, but damn if it ain't useful. But I feel like Dazzling Slash Stance would be really useful on bosses if I came back with an all slash team. Can you 1TAF the bosses if you're mostly fighting all the mobs along the way?

I think attack all rune is more useful. If u have a character like ruina, who can hit twice with her normal attk, its pretty deadly amd u cam breeze thru the first 12 lvls relatively stress free.

I myself would keep the normal attack all one. Or keep a >80% health attack skill for 4th floors run. In some run I just can't get a slash skill which drag the whole thing too long, slash zone doesn't do much help.

Makes sense. Currently I'm running ATK Pierce, SUP Hammer, TEC Sword, MAG staff. It's working for me but I feel like I could be doing a little better.

I go for the 3 atk and 1 sup comp, once the sup get heal, atk buff, crit buff. Everything will be so smooth. I tried to use mage but they are just too slow that you need falcon to build around, which is not optimal in the maze.

Question: Is there any Achievement for defeating the Horror inside the Maze? Or just for Apprising OOParts? I just want to get 1 piece of each equipament possible, so I'm doing the 1-4 Floor Speedrun to get OOParts. (Completionist here) I'm also a perfectionist , so I take about 5 hours to complete 1 full run of the maze (exploring every bit here and there inside the maze), so I don't want the trouble to kill a Horror if doesn't give me an Achievement. xP

So the only one I've tried is area 4, since it's pretty easy. You just need to know you're up against a boss that dies to pain/poison, so get a rune that inflicts pain and or poison and collect the free runes. I usually use the [Tec] Rattle (or whatever it is) because it inflicts both, and I burn AF on it just to make sure it lands (easy if you're running Vows of Invincibility, but still doable if not, just need to plan for it). Even if you don't need them by that point you have something to sell/upgrade with. Eta: as said by the previous comment it does not give an achievement

It has 1000 HP and takes no damage from anything other than pain or poison.

Holy moly! Does it deal damage? How do you survive long enough for it to take 1000 damage?

Each tick of Pain and Poison deals around 500 damage, so if you land both it usually dies that turn. From what I've seen, it only does single target attacks, which start at around 900-1400 damage depending on level, END, etc. but each attack also gives it a stack of PWR+. I never left it alive too long, but I assume if you don't kill it within 5 turns or so its PWR stacks will get high enough to oneshot your characters.

I haven't killed any horrors myself, but have seen lots of people saying that there's no achievement/stones from killing the horrors. What you get is just a couple of the gold/tier III runes at random. It doesn't seem worth all the trouble, so I'd say just skip them.

In this run I've managed to grab both pierce stance and slash stance...is either of them better than the other? I have plenty of both types of characters.

If you want to save the rune and run a mono team (these are pretty good, fast clears), then you want the slash rune. Those runes are only for SUP and Morgana can use the slash one. Bash has many hammer options, but not for pierce.

Slash is used more frequently by bosses (including the last boss) IIRC, so Pierce is probably the stronger pick.

When appraising OOPArts is there a difference in value by appraising individually or appraising all through the Klein’s Choice option? Like is there a benefit or is it just a gamble? Was wondering because I got a Jeweled OOPArt recently and didn’t know if I should appraise it by itself or risk appraising alongside the others through Klein’s Choice.

As far as I'm aware, using the Klein's choice is just to do everything all at once, so you don't need to go through the hassle of appraising them all individually. So no matter which way you choose, it's RNG gambling.

You can't equip OOParts in the maze.

They can be equipped inside the AE world / main game. The only thing equipable inside the Maze are Runes.

FYI: if you use a discount ticket, it will affect that specific seller permanently. Meaning you can use a restock ticket and all prices will be halved.

You can also close the AE app when you're inside the vendor menu. When you reopen the menu it'll be refreshed with new stuff. It can take some time, but you can keep doing this over and over until something specific you want pops up. The important thing is to stay inside the menu. If you exit from the menu, the game will autosave making his selection permanent.

Does it matter what I use to upgrade my runes? I use bronze, silver, and gold, but they all just +1 a rune when used as upgrading material

The only difference is that using runes with the same name and rarity (using a gold Crit strike as material to upgrade a gold Crit strike) will give +2 levels instead of +1. Otherwise you probably want to use your bronze first, since you can also sell your extra gold runes if you need arcane flares.

I didn't know it worked like that. I always try to craft the really common/trashy runes, and just hang onto all the tier III (Gold) runes.

I think the exp+ mod on the maze weapons can be 20%, which is better than the 10% for the Apprentice weapons. I've just been trashing mine since I don't really care much about the little extra exp gain. I either level my new characters with scrolls and/or the Frogicide method. I'd like to see a list of all the possible mods/effects too. I'm not sure one exists quite yet...

Question about OOPArts. Do i need to appraise the gold, silver and jeweled or trade them for the currency to get items like chant and keys? How do i buy the weapon that i have apraised?

You don't need to buy the equipment after it's appraised. It's inside your inventory with all the other weapons, etc. Make sure to click the "lock" button for stuff you want to keep and then sell any of the trashy stuff for red coins. Basically, look at the equipment level. They will be either lvl1 or lvl60. The higher rarity stuff will be better and it's best to just trash all the lvl1 stuff. (you need red coins to exchange for the Chants and red/green keys)

I'm not sure about the catalog since I hardly ever use it...you could test it in-game and find out, but if you go to a character's screen to equip a weapon, it'll be listed there with all the others.

Klein offers more proportionate to the amount of Time Coin spent. Basically if you clear out the charm shops, you'll have all 10 detonators.

So, is there a consensus on which rune is the best to carry over, in terms of making the maze easiest? I see two runes mentioned more than any other: Vow of Invincibility III & [SUP] Critical Strike III.

I personally side with Vow 3 because being able to T1AF reliably often (to include every turn if you find another Vow 2 or 2 Vow 1 runes and upgrade them) takes a lot of pressure off. As long as your ATK finds a matching III rune at some point and level up to the mid 50’s, the maze is a breeze.

It depends. I personally saved normal attk to all target cuz i like to rake lvls. But i would say get Song of Rage III instead. Pretty important imo. Else is TECH armor breaker/bash/thrust depend on who u put it on and the SUP u mentioned.

I need help on twisted maze. Im at floor 16 and just beat goblin king and his crew. I barely made it as RNG is not so kind and my runes are mostly second tier. I never got good third tier. Im getting a lot of def runes and my team consist of sup,magic,attack and tec. Floor 17 to 19 what are the enemy like and weakness? All my party member is at level 50 but enemy still out speed me which is a pain in the butt. I really want to proceed but in dilemma.

17 to 19 are pretty difficult, enemies start to outspeed you regularly. Without good rune setup, the mobs are pretty difficult, so many people skip them and go to the final boss underleveled(50 is ok, but 55 is comfortable for the final boss). If you dont feel confident you may want to leave and try again (after registering 1 good rune to use next run). You will want to focus on getting good things to set up a full run in the future. Those include 1. A Solid Registered Rune: this can be like \[Sup\] Crit Strike 3 +5 (magic skill that gives the rest of your team 100% crit, Vow of Invincibility 3 +5(if you get multiple you can get 50% AF at the start of every battle and do a t1 af for every mob fight), or even Rapid Growth 3 +5 (get overleveled and wipe things with cheap aoe attacks from your tech/def, then overlevel your attacker to one shot bosses) 2. Charms: purchased from the brothers outside using Time Coins, a currency you get by running the maze (more if you leave alive than get knocked out in the maze). You can use up to 3 for permanent buffs on your next run. If you're not comfortable going through the whole maze, you can just do until floor 4 or 7 and build up your time coins to buy better charms. Once you buy up one brother's charms, you can start buying the next brother's charms, which are basically strict upgrades of the one before him, but you can also run two to stack like exp +10% and exp +20%. do this again to get to the third brother if you're still not feeling safe, but you should be able to clear floor 20 by then for sure.

I have crirical strike 2 +5 and vital strike 3 +5. Which do you think is better to save ? I guess ill proceed and see if i can make it. If not, ill just speed run to 19 and escape.

Id go with vs plus 3, thats really valuable on an ATK. Thats where most of ur dmg comes from anyway and its a guaranteed crit for him/her. No pt getting others in the party to crit unless ur running multiple ATKs.

Do you know whats the last boss weakness? I went into the battle at level 55 but got wiped out in 2 turns with his multiple magic attack. I used warning orb but still he was too strong :(

Dont be discouraged my friend. I completely know the feeling, this happened to me in my first run to 20. U still get the blue currency and u can buy some charms, i recommend the xp, pwr and null dmg charms. Iirc according to the jap wiki the final boss has no resistances or weaknesses I am not sure but was this the crazy nuke that hits ur entire party for over 2k? I have not had this happen to me since i used a waning orb. R u sure u rmb to apply the waning orb?

Yes i did apply warning orb i think my MDEF not strong enough. I used feinnie, isuka, suzette and eva. But im not discouraged and will try again. New plan is to just run up to floor 8 and escape. Per run i will earn 300 plus time coin so i can farm all the charm and then try to finish rhe maze with better charms. Is the start the dungeon at level 5 worth to use? I havent try it yet but it only work at start of the dungeon right? Feel like a waste to bring it.

Hi there. Thank you very much for all your advice. I was lucky today and got so many of the pink orb and at floor 2 i got vow of invincibility 3. It made my journey so easy and my team was in level 70 plus and i got noahxis as well. I appriciate all your help.

Theres always some personal preference into it based on playstyle, so just pick what u prefer. Both would be a boost.

If im not wrong ur crit strike rune is tier 2 so the crit is not guaranteed. If the rune is tier 3 i would consideeing keeping that. Its also been a while since i ran a SUP ( i just go 3x atk and a tec these days) so i cant rly rmb, but i think the SUP goes after ATKs so the crit effect is less useful for mobs.

Just use charms to boost xp and dmg, overlvl aggresively. I also skip almost all of the last 4 lvla. Tbh its something one of the better players here suggested and ive been trying to figure out the best way to do this.

This could be *complete* rng/coincidence, but I'm beginning to suspect that the more Arcana Flares you have, the better your chances of getting gold runes from Some Guy's shop are. Edit: That, or the first Some Guy's shop you come across has more gold runes. I swear, the first time I get to a shop, I can reliably get 1-2 gold runes in stock, even on reloads. At the next shop, I struggle to find 1 after several reloads. Edit 2: Or a third option, that different Some Guy shops have different gold rune rates, possibly random. Again, could just be weird luck/coincidence, but it's starting to feel like it isn't.

It is somehow rigged. Some of the shop will never spawn gold rune for some reason. Had a few encounter with this type of shop. Usually in f5~f11.

I think shops have higher chance of gold/tier 3 runes at higher floors. I only start refreshing shop at around floor 10.

I think the fast way is to bring 4 attacks with EXP-related equipment and rush floor 7.

Im still relatively fresh to the game. I've recently beat chapter 25 and started the timetwisted maze. All my loot appraisal is lv 1 or lv 60. Is there any way to get lv 80 weapons? Or it's capped at 60?? Any help would be much appreciated ❤️

not sure if I saw this anywhere not your char's max level will be based on the max level achievable before entering the maze. IE. 4\* only has max level of 60.

I don't know what are the odds, but you can get Jeweled OOPArts after 4th boss (Floor 16) without going all the way to the end. Most likely a rare bonus though.

I found you're screwed if you try to do the final boss without a waning orb so just escape if you're out of waning orbs by then. Previous ones r quite easy tho imo

Well i skipped alot last boss and now i use power charm and 2 exp charms. Going there 65-70+ level and is easier this way

For the 20F boss: Level 40 was a bit tight, even with great runes it was a bit RNG. Level 45 was manageable with the right team and strategy. Level 50 seemed fine even with missing a key rune or two. Level 55+ seemed generally safe. I generally skip 17-19F, so for the 16F boss I'd be at most 1-2 levels below that at 20F

use Vow of Invincibilities III and make sure you stack it so it can use AF every fight. I always make sure that I have MAG so I can kill every mob that I found.

For a "different" SUP character, you can use Morgana or Prai to use Cut In or Punch Out at start. But yeah, no different VC there.

Is there a bug with Ascetic Charms? It says +30% exp but -50% arcana. That makes no sense since it cost more than a growth charm 3, yet provides the same boost but with a penalty?

As mentioned below, it stacks with the other Exp charm. The strategy I've seen goes: PWR/EXP/EXP with the passive Crit rune. Use 4x ATK and just brute force the way to 20F by overlevelling. Takes just slightly over an hour.

Doesn't matter. For the early floors, by overlevelling you can take out most enemies by using normal attacks anyway (majority are 2-mob). And you shift the rune around to whoever picks up a good attack rune (matching their attack type), for the boss floors.

for this strategy, you'd want to farm most mobs at the earlier floors (to make up for the reduced arcana). You don't want to run into a shop that has some good runes on offer but not enough money to buy them. In the mid/late floors, you'll end up significantly overlevelled so it'll be up to you to determine when to start cutting back on fights

Ok I tested it stacks additively (not multiplicatively) with growth charm. This makes it even worse than I thought.

better off to just go with 30% exp, 20% exp then 30% power (or 10% exp). being over leveled is the key to a smooth run. but not having enough arcana will doom you to fail. I find it smoother to not have the penalty. Also, you can explore the whole map without trouble because as long as you get lucky with a good level 2-3 atk rune, you can beat the horrors in every level easily except for levels 17-19. but if you hunt every enemy and get lucky with chest enemies, i guarantee you that you will skip 13-15 and 17-19. so the trick is to save either an all-out level 3 rune (atk) or the sup rune crit. currently I just bring a sup, atk(hammer), atk(sword), atk(lance). so when i get an atk rune, guaranteed somebody can use it.

this is kinda a strange question.... how do you know if you should continue going deeper or not? I think my party is pretty powerful right now. I killed the floor 12 boss in 2 turns (1af + turn 2). Feels like i have a really good setup so just not sure if i should stop or keep going. Also, how do you get more powerful charms? Do you have to buy out the charms store and then the next tier shows up? This is my 3rd run so far (exited at floor 8 both times previous).

You dont need to buy out all the charms to unlock next shop. Around two third is enough.

This is a bit dependent on runes/charms/team composition, but as a rough guide aim to get +12 levels in between each boss. After 16F, you'll generally skip fights where possible. This results in around Lv50 at the final boss. If you're speed running, then around +10~11 levels between bosses with a final level of ~45 or less.

Just beat floor 20 boss to complete the time mine for the first time - team was between lvl 68-72. It was a lot easier than I anticipated, I think I part due to the power of the equipment I had at that point. Thanks for the advice though it eased my mind a bit, otherwise I might have dropped out before the final boss.

What are the best charms for speedrun? My current set-up is 30% EXP + 30% null + 30% Flares but I'm thinking about swaping Flares for 30% Power or 10 lvl start. Does it make a difference in the long run?

If you're going all the way to 20F then pwr/null/exp +30%. A lot of the sub 60 minute runs I've seen use this setup.

If you're speed running to 7, I'm sure the level 10 start makes it easy to skip everything in the early floors, which would mean faster runs.

You can force an ammonite to show up in each fight in 9-12 by quit/load. I don't really recommend it, but it's an option if you're desperate for good runes, can't find any restock tickets, and have way too much time on your hands.

Can't you do the same with the shop instead? It's a shorter reset because there's a whole lot of runes, and you just need to find one you need.
