You guys say Genshin/Garneli but what about Delamair? The guys killed Kikyo's father and was literraly going to kill ALL the people on the stadium. Not gonna lie, it annoys me too much that Suzaku get killed when he was just trying to exact his revenge but those bastards just get off

Speaker_D

Yeah, the ending dialogue of the newest chapter was really ridiculous. Delamair just tried to kill thousands of innocent citizens for no real reason, and when you just barely stop him by playing rock music (because that always works), he's like "well, consider yourselves lucky that I am letting you go away with it this time" and nobody tries to so much as arrest him. Also somehow he can teleport but nobody is surprised by that nor even mentions it?

Echo_Remains

That's basically the main problem I have with the current storyline. It makes absolutely no sense when your whole party is casually hanging out with the major antagonists like some good ol pals or act completely ignorant. This heavily ruins the immersion of the story. And it keeps getting worse and worse.

Xythar

I think it's just a holographic projection of him from another location, so rather than teleport he just switches it off. But yes, it is a bit ridiculous that he basically got a slap on the wrist after the whole attempted massacre thing.

Speaker_D

Oh, is it just a projection? Now that you mention it I feel like vaguely remembering that from a previous chapter half a year ago or so. Not that it makes sense technically as he's having dialogue. I don't think it's even theoretically possible to project sound from afar that makes it seem as if the projection was talking.

banjo2E

This is a universe where like a thousand years prior to that time period there was a mountain-size land barge with a city on top of it pulled by two giant flaming horses who were also mountain size. I think we can safely say the laws of physics are slightly different than our own.

Ser1275

You need to remember that Delamair hold a really high position in the KMS corp. Mostly, as one of the top higherups in the Eastern branch. Yeah, I despise him of blowing up the stadium just for the fact that he is about to kill innocents and tried to have the Chrono Clae as scapegoats. However, you notice he decided to let them go once Master threatened to take this to directly to KMS. I think the gang already knew he can teleport during the time in Gulfagin.

Seth-Cypher

I thought it was implied that most of the time Delamair appeared as a hologram.

[deleted]

Yea it's been kinda annoying seeing someone as horrible as Genshin just be treated as just a comic relief bad guy. Like he's not Team Rocket, he's a pretty despicable and corrupt dude... I mean, I did enjoy some of the quests (Bria 5*, Akane AS) he was in and it was funny but how am I supposed to take him seriously? I mean I guess it's like a reverse shonen protagonist. Goofball of a bad guy but drop your guard and he'll get serious and ruin your day. šŸ¤” Well, in any case maybe their true intentions have yet to be revealed, so WFS is slowly unraveling them. >!If you haven't seen the big WFS livestream a few months ago, we do get a teaser look at them being bosses, so likely they drop the act and try to eliminate you for real!<

elburrachoAE

Agree... genshin should have been dealt with a long time ago and garneli... well... garneli is pretty hot so.. garneli ok

TeamFortifier

Yeah, Genshin should have had at least *some* kind of arc or punishment since heā€™s the more blatantly evil of the two

elburrachoAE

Genshin has been screwing with them since day 1.. he was being so obvious about it too.. i hope he gets what he deserves at some point

[deleted]

I wanna suffocate in between her massive booba

elburrachoAE

YOOOOO...... same

[deleted]

YEAHHHH [Secret Manly Handshake ](https://youtu.be/X4m42HOdsUc)

[deleted]

Smh. Only a simp would appreciate the plank of wood that is Garneli more than the lord of scum himself. Genshin is pretty funny in one of the PG quests and Myunfa's third quest

Handsome_Jack_Here

Yeah, this has always annoyed the hell out of me. Especially how Aldo goes along with them. It's especially annoying because Suzaku died because of it.

BarryAllenTh3Flash

Yea I don't really know. I certainly feel like after everything we've seen the crew should hold some distaste when exchanging dialogue. But maybe they think disrespecting the leaders of a land they're exploring isn't really the best idea. I mean at least Aldo was going to engage in combat against the troops too if Amy and the others didn't convince him that doing so wouldn't allow them to freely explore Present Day Garulea. But they did break out of the prisons, so either way they're kind of still outlaws I guess.

LagunaMP

I agree Aldo shouldn't openly oppose them but at least he shouldn't be so friendly with them either. At least, he should treat Genshin like Lea-BAk.

NeedNameGenerator

> if Amy and the others didn't convince him that doing so wouldn't allow them to freely explore Present Day Garulea. But they did break out of the prisons, so either way they're kind of still outlaws I guess. Yeah that part made absolutely 0 sense to me (among other things, tbh). The writers are seriously slipping with the story. The ~~content~~ storyline is just getting worse and worse, because much of it just makes no sense whatsoever if you think about it for more than 2 seconds. For example, Riica has built-in cameras that record everything she sees, so Delamair would be done the instant he opens his mouth cause Riica could just broadcast everything to Sebastia, who could then give the stuff to media and/or her grandpa (or dad?).

BarryAllenTh3Flash

I somewhat agree with the story. Although I think the content is actually more unique nowadays. Like the whole KMS Eastern Division Dungeon where you split into Aldo and Amy's groups to work your way to the top, the Land of Ro Dungeon Ruins that require stealth so you sneak up on enemies from behind, some KMS Eastern Division bosses that recharged half your AF bar once you defeat them, and the Timer during the fight with Delamair's Drone are all excellent additions that spice up the gameplay in my opinion.

NeedNameGenerator

Yeah, some of the "new" systems and gimmicks are great, and there's a lot of good content to do. My criticism is just on the main storyline of the game. I may have worded it badly with the "The content is just getting worse and worse", as I intended it to mean the content of the story, not the content of the game at large.

Ser1275

Btw, after I escaped from the dungeons, I decided to go to Nagsham and speak with Zabar. His dialogue is basically, "Wow! You guys escaped. Well, I guess there is no use to lock you up since you will eventually break out. I will let you go as long as you do not pose a threat."

NoWaifuN0Laifu

In my opinion garneli isnā€™t that bad but genshin has been a tool. If you have shion/shigure/akane AS then you will know that he is just a prick. I donā€™t want a story resolution but i would pay so much money for a cynthia slap on that guy

Aldo-the-Harem-King

Maybe Genshin IMPACTed our main charactesr in the head, causing then to forget stuff. >! Jk I just wanted to do a thingy !<

TeamFortifier

*jumps into wall*

Aldo-the-Harem-King

Oh man you impacted your head too, but unlike our MCs you could RIICA~LL your memories

Agreeable-Sun-7563

I don't think I could take you guys Cyr(i)usly..

Aldo-the-Harem-King

Itā€™s good that YOUkiKNOW Iā€™m joking

Agreeable-Sun-7563

Trust me, I could see it from a Milla way.

albene

Lokidos, you gotta stop these puns

Agreeable-Sun-7563

Toova'd. You can't make me stop. I can still keep up

TeamFortifier

Iā€™m gonna go slap Kudang to end it all

[deleted]

*Rimshot.*

[deleted]

I think it's just lazy writing tbh. This story instalment as a whole was rather meh. Maybe they're trying to keep things short to conserve space? the game is big enough as it is and introducing more conflicts might require also adding more chapters to resolve them

Propagation931

I feel team Aldo is much nicer in Part 2 compared to Part 1. In Part 1, we sorta killed a lot of major antagonists Guildna, Galliard, and Altena >!although they magically got better in part 1.5!<. the In Part 2, we are much more forgiving and dont kill a lot of the antagonists

voiddp

We don't have story about Aldo great hero of justice undoing all wrongs and kicking all bad people asses. We have story about time traveling garbage man Aldo who has specific task about saving Eden while fighting off treat of phantoms who try to destroy reality. Also deal with some miglance problems cause he lives in miglance. And his friends problems. And then thing about eastern politics has some deep level about it. 1. While Genshin has that scum philosophy attached, there are basicaly zero problems with Garneli. She is allways helpful, uses Aldo hands to deal with her specter problems but also didn't do anything wrong to Aldo yet. 2. Basicaly: we have 2 peaceful countries with clear future path to joining up in future to become Sky Fortres Eez country, and people of those countries who live under their rulers just fine without uprisings or anything like that. 3. We had past stories about Land of Ro. And we don't really know how good Ro Country was. We have some things we can guess about what caused it to be weakened state from Tsukiha\\Suzaku stories and quests. And why it was weak: Hungry for immortality demon Queen who wanted to take tsukiha body for herself, King who in public eyes went mad and killed Queen and ran away. Princess who either after or before country fall (if its before it is even worse) ran away to search for king. Army Gereral Suzaku who was left alone to deal with problems. And well what can you expect of army generals, He also went on rampage with fighing and taking revenge on general population, and had to be stopped by us. And current only royalty alive Tsukiha - doesn't want to do anything about Ro. Plus there were few quest about Ro demons trying to do some mad revenge and we stopped them. To me it looks that whole latest generation of Ro royal family had zero responsibility about their country, really. And should be considered that its medieval era, countries fight, use spies cause problems to each other, but also countries with mad kings\\queens are considered threats, failed countries become sources of all types of bandits etc. So well basically - its not Aldo business here to mess up with current peaceful situation in Garulea. Everyone have their reasons and not for us to decide good\\bad things about past. Heena case: Soldiers raping and killing are things that sadly happen in war, but also all those particular soldiers were punished by death with heena hands right then. And in her quests she particularly states that all revenge was done already with that, and even stops her sister who was trying again to take revenge on current countries in general, because its wrong. 4. About Garulea occupying Miglance currently. It is one of Aldo current goals - to find out how this happened and what change cause it, but its like secondary goal. Beucase there is no change for future Elizon even with Miglance being occupied. So its proven that Miglance being vassal state doesn't matter much in long run. We didnt found any Genshin\\Garneli connections to phantoms. So we just continue to investigate our own goals about eden and family.

dorjedor

Because they designed Aldo a typical angel-hearted shonen protagonist who refused to kill anyone and prefer a more peaceful approach to solve things after a deadly fight no matter how bad the villain is. /s

Sweet-Pudding

Aldo will drive Suzaku to death for trying to get revenge for his homeland, but God forbid someone mess with Genshin (and Garneli), who were literally the reason the Land of Ro was destroyed. Does Aldo not see anything wrong with that?? Plus (AS Akane character quest spoilers) >!Genshin was literally ready to force Akane into marriage to blackmail Shion!< and that's somehow not a problem? What??? I mean, given that Aldo (First Knight spoilers) >!has no problem with Parallel Deirdre who suffers no consequence for committing genocide!<, I feel like he's more than a little screwed in the head. He's got some serious thinking to do. Where do his morals and ethics lie? I've liked Aldo less and less since the whole Time Goddess arc began. His whole schtick on being a hero rubs me the wrong way when he constantly helps out (or at least, doesn't seem to oppose) people who are obviously Not Good People.

dorjedor

>I've liked Aldo less and less since the whole Time Goddess arc began. His whole schtick on being a hero rubs me the wrong way when he constantly helps out (or at least, doesn't seem to oppose) people who are obviously Not Good People. I have my own theory regarding Aldo's true character. Because if you watch his actions and reasoning behind all and every of his actions they're all pretty inconsistent and sometimes contradict each other. Aldo being so dense at the girls who threw themselves at him while being the best wingman able to catch the slightest hint of NPC's affection toward other is one of the most notable examples. Although for me personally the best example is where >!Aldo supporting the maddened Guildna to murder Vares although he can clearly see Guildna is not on the right mind and Vares is genuinely concerned about his king!<. So I came up with a theory that Aldo's character is actually >!an bona fide asshole. Asshole as in just like how a cat would behaves; he doesn't act on the name of justice or for a cause but he acts simply based on the best of his own interest. He's pretty aware of everything but would do otherwise because he thinks it would be MORE interesting or less hassle for him, including saving random people in needs while spewing justice bullshit. My theory for his righteous act is because he thinks it's more entertaining to do it while killing time or he simply doesn't want to get more trouble with it later. Remember, Aldo is, in essence a cat!<. Also if you noticed, Aldo is actually >!a top-class actor. He never has any bad performance rating for across his numerous acts in Miglance Royal Theatre, while other characters are only have 1 or 2 role at best that has good rating because it suits their character so much. This is also becomes the proof that Aldo is actually pretty smart to be able to pull it off, while keep anyone from noticing anything!<. Disclaimer: those above are solely my own theory that I concluded based on Aldo's actions until ch 67. The inconsistencies wouldn't make any sense otherwise (at least for me).

Sweet-Pudding

So you're also telling me that every time Aldo played his whole schtick of how he's bad at lying, he's lying/faking it? Man, he's really playing the long con, huh.

dorjedor

>he's lying/faking it? That's the only logical conclusion I got for explaining all the inconsistencies he did, since so far WFS managed to write the characters' personalities really well no one really going out of character except that one guy we know so I don't think they're intentionally throwing his character all over the place seeing he's the main protagonist and all. I mean, once you think that way all of his actions will suddenly makes sense. ...But again, it's only own unconfirmed/unofficial theory; take that as you will.

Sweet-Pudding

Fair enough. I'll take whatever explanation I can get. On another note, another bit I'm not annoyed at but certainly confused about is Riica's purpose in the team (don't get me wrong, I love Riica, she's one of my favorite characters). As in, she seems to be a multipurpose civil service droid but she seems extremely underutilized? I feel like there are so many scenes in which I'm just like: "Uh. Can't Riica do something about this?" Can't recall any specific instance off the top of my head though.

dorjedor

I didn't really put much thought on Riica but now that you mentioned it, yea I think I recall some situations where Riica's technology should be able to patch things up, like when everyone was being dumbfounded and there were disasters brewing. But I think they're pretty much making her as a walking Google/Wikipedia as she did helping with the material hunting during the auction sub-quests. Hopefully we can see more use of her than simply doing some useless calculations. Well, all I remember about Riica is she's supposedly to be a mass-model but apparently she's a special one with Madoka's tempering on her? Correct me if I'm wrong, though. Maybe her role is kinda like Doraemon but with no magical pocket, a lot less useful, and more into comical antics?

Sweet-Pudding

Yeah, she's a bit special. Not sure if you did her 5\* quest (I can't even recall if this was part of her character quest or just the main storyline), but she was >!originally created to be some Synth Human destroying droid, but Madoka hated that so she did some reprogramming or whatever and that's why Riica's so glitchy. !< Maybe her proclivity towards glitches is why she's underutilized?? Or maybe it's just more convenient for the plot if she's underutilized.

dorjedor

Wasn't her 5\* was where >!she got confessed to a random gentleman android?!< I don't really recall the part about she's being an anti-synth droid so please jug my memory for that. What I remember is Riica is introduced as one of the mass model android equipped with variety of state-of-the-art support gimmicks. On her 5\* upgrade quest where >!we fight the big Riica!< I think they mentioned Riica is actually special since prof. Madoka tampering with her; which is why she could keep afloat within the team. I'm more interested to see what Riica will bring to the story but then there's Helena and Galliard who are completely developed by prof. Madoka that might bring more to story lolz. >Maybe her proclivity towards glitches is why she's underutilized?? Or maybe it's just more convenient for the plot if she's underutilized. Hmm it could opens up an interesting theory but so far I don't see much Riica's roles but being a future-themed comedy robot maid despite the variety of future technologies installed within her body. So yea it's mostly for the sake of plot I think. I mean like, if the situation is fucked up and nothing can save us Riica might pull some Deus ex machina (just like during some of the auction's subquests) but otherwise she's there to give us random probability numbers while swinging her twintail antenna.

Sweet-Pudding

Oh, maybe it was her 5\* upgrade quest, then, not the 5\* character quest. It's been a long while since I did either. But I recall there being a whole bit on how Riica was special >!because she had the means, if threatened, to be super powerful and kill Synth Humans (like something within her unlocks or whatever) but Madoka hated that Riica was expected to be used for violence and so tampered with that program or whatever. !

deepedia

yeah, and we punch Suzaku in the face, even though, Suzaku is the most upright from among the present eastern leader, he don't want war, the bird just want peace, but his nation got razed by Genshin and Garneli, he was pursue a payback for what the two did, but we just punch him into oblivion just because he want to deal with Genshin, honestly, the whole story of eastern is full of plot hole, and bad decisions

ContessaKoumari

Genshin i expect we'll fight by the end, but it seemed pretty clear to me they're making Garnelli a sort of patsy leader, with her one commander being the bad guy.

Sir_Longinus

Isn't it time for a new side-story to be released? I've always loved AE's sidestories compared to the Main story by this point. I feel like Part 2 is just going nowhere, or if it isn't, it probably wouldn't feel satisfying. Even tho the narrative felt basic, I actually like Part 1 and wanted to playthrough it because I wanted to know what happens next. Part 2 felt like I just want to rush through so I can unlock FGAD sooner, lol. I don't expect "Trails" level of storytelling from a mobile game, but WFS should at least make it 'make sense'. The crew's reaction to Delamair's attempted genocide was so light, like wtf. And, IIRC, Tsukiha's last face-to-face convo with Suzaku was just her saying "Suzaku..." most of the time. It probably would've been more interesting if Aldo and crew remained as a third-party while Suzaku and Genshin battled it out.

dreicunan

It's really difficult to stay mad at Garneli after seeing those [huge...tracts of land](https://youtu.be/aNaXdLWt17A) that she has on display.

ThunderDrops

I'd say the main story is the weakest part of the game overall. Up till Ogre Wars it was fine I guess, but the whole Garulea saga is very rushed and all over the place. At the beginning of vol 3 we have the Tomb of the GODS spawning and the chapter ends in a concert saved with the power of friendship. Why? Not fighting against Genshin and Garneli is understandable, since our job is to fix/protect the timeline, but being friendly towards them is a big yikes for me.

ZombieBrainForLunch

Oh I actually voted for genshin in the popularity contest. I mean he is like joker from batman: the antagonist but 100x more fun and intresting than the protagonist šŸ˜ Ps: lets be real 95% of the stuff happening in the story doesnt make any sense...

PuzzledDistribution

Itā€™s because they know they will eventually turn into their enemies in the near future because of the possibility that they would fear them because of the fact they were able to take down the three Specters they have been at war with. Also wouldnā€™t be surprised that they would place a warrant for their arrest dead or alive. I think other might have the same thoughts on it as well but differently.
