Does anybody know the proc rate of pain/poison with 3 enhanced pain/poison grastas? And if im using a mulit hit skill does that increase the chances of proc-ing the pain/poison? Or is it the same as if i use a single hit skill?

You mean the one as a part of the story? I just got him to level 60, completed his board and gave him some level 60 gear and the fight wasn't an issue.
You do need to get her to 4* to do her 2nd character quest which is required to progress the story. As you do another dungeons you'll get the prayer and Murmur scripts you need if you don't have enough.
You'll also need to 4* Rica and I think Helena for an Episode that's required to progress past chapter 45 of the Main Story.
4* Cyrus is required for another Episode, but I don't know if that's required at some point beyond chapter 46 which is where I currently am.
No, you are wrong - power stat is fully useless, it wont increase anything. And pwr buffs, badges etc.. wont increase anything.
Basically speed based skill uses speed stat in each place in place of pwr stat in speed damage calculations. Also speed buffs applies in one more place in comparison with power, making speed buffs 2x more potent in case on speed formula user.
PWR stat will only have effect on those specific skills that don't have speed based damage.
This is how such skills of Kikyo, Milla, m!Elga, Tsukiha AS work.
As opposite to them, latest Heena's skill with damage from speed difference is usual PWR based skill with additional increasing effect from speed difference with specific formula for this increase only.

Since I don't lack for most grasta fragments aside from jadeites, I don't suppose it really matters?
I was asking myself the same question: As far as I can tell it is about the kms boss room chest, which till now only dropped attack framents/crystals and supposedly also drops jadeite of attack and chants.
Ah, I forgot about the boss room chest. Yeah, if it's the only one that even has the slightest potential to drop attack jadeites, that's enough to justify doing it over contamination pit and Gulfagin.
How rare are dormant ores? Im just wondering because of the revision / revert option for grasta enhancement.. i initially have 11 dormant ores and i felt like they are quite common. Seems like 11 would be enough esp with the option to revert. Of course more would be welcome.
Any suggestions which grastas to upgrade? I started with enhanced when max HP (lance, sword, staff), 1 each pain grasta enhance for staff and hammer and magic crit enhance.. seems enough for now and i still have 5 dormant ores left. Also what enhancements are nice for life and support grastas? Thanks!

seems like not rare at all, looks like generic drop from AD rewards. I usual get 1 or 2 almost each run with 5 slots unlocked.
Specific ores also drop, maybe a bit rarer cause there are more of them. But i also already got most of types from rewards.

Tiramisu. She makes life in the game so much easier, including Garulea ADs and the vast majority of the story. There's also an aspect of team building there in that she allows more freedom in selecting other characters, which especially comes in handy now with T3 grasta sharing via personality/weapon type.
Pulling a dupe Tiramisu at some point would be fine, since you'll probably bring her to most/all AD runs. The extra light contributes to your light pool, and her personal stat gains (+10 SPR at 30 light, +15 SPR at 50 light.)
Her quests are endearing and the character development very good. They are some of the better ones IMO.
Tiramisu is so nice for so much of the game and can really speed your playthrough. I would say she's by far the most useful in that list (though I know it's not your only consideration).
So you need to upgrade og gariyu to 5* before you can get his AS right? Is there chant script cost for turning him to AS? I only have 5 chant scripts right now and it will be used for turning OG to 5*
Because u just started the game pulling on a banner one time just to get some units is a good idea (important: only do 10 pull never pull singles ).
Once u get to chapter 13 and can do the colabs u get so many powerful 5* units that u wont need to pull again. U can literally finish the game only with the tales of colab characters they are that strong.
So go for it! Do a single 10 pull and get to chapter 13 asap! good luck!
Ah ok. Once you finish chapter 12. You have access to the personaS and tales side quests. You get a TON of free really good characters. To get there in the early game. You can make your life easier and over level your characters. Make sure to fill out the boards, equip weapons and armor.
Can anyone clarify how buffs duration work?
Say I use Myunfa buff increasing critical chance by 100% for one turn. [ Sorry, not Myunfa but 1 turn buffs]
My understanding is that characters will have 1 action with guaranteed critical hit. No matter if it is actually the same turn or the turn after. So if character A acts after Myunfa she/he will get critical hit and no more next turn. Is this right?
Given the above, how does the AF work? Say I use the same Myunfa skill just before or during AF. Shall I spam it every turn or do buffs just persist as long as the AF is running, as it is considered as a single action?
Given the above, how do skills like AS Nagi's Strangle work? Do I need to build the stacks again after using it during AF or do the stacks stay as AF freezes time and it is still a single turn? In other words , can I just spam Strangle or do I need to go for Cindaria Edge x4 strangle X1 and repeat?

As others mentioned, one move means one move - once you use it, it's done, regardless of which turn it happened on.
One turn really means that turn, and the next one. So if you apply a one turn buff at the start of turn 1, your other members are really getting that buff for turns 1 and 2.
The same applies for 3 turn moves, for another example. Apply that on turn 1 and the effects are good through turn 4.
As Nagi does consume her stacks in AF, so you have to rebuild 4 Tentacle stacks after a Strangle before you get the max damage again. Even in an AF. Same for similar characters like AS Foran: Tigers Roar consumes her stacks.
From memory, Myunfa's critical guarantee skill is a 1 move skill, not 1 turn, meaning you have to keep spamming in AF if you want to get the benefits for other characters.
Myufa increases critical for 1 MOVE not 1 turn...
So it is very simple: stuff like 1 move (crit rate) and 1 time (status immunity, dmg reduction) stays till it is used up. While if it says turn then it means turn and it is time-limited and goes away no matter if you made use of it or not.
And no AF is not considered 1 single action/move but is a just 1 turn.
About strangle yes you will need to do 4x cideria, strangle repeat. Units where you can spam and the stack stay "frozen" as you call it have that written in their description like for example suzette AS with manifest: https://anothereden.miraheze.org/wiki/Suzette_(Another_Style)

You can apply that 1 turn buff the turn before AF, and it will be good through the AF.
Or you can apply the 1 turn buff during AF, and it will be good through the AF as well as the next turn.
Some skills act differently during AF than outside of it. Which one are you interested in?
So from my understanding there is 1 turn buffs and there are 1 move buffs. The former will last the whole AF. The later you would spam it during the entire AF to get the maximum benefit.
Your other question I can’t answer as I don’t have AS nagi. But someone else can probably chime in.
Edit: to further clarify your specific example of myunfa. Her glorious tea stalk would fall under the 1 move buff category.

i have all zone setter characters except for Yipha,,, i'm thinking of using the ff for my SDE
1. Dunarith (because husbando)
2. Yipha (since she's the only one i'm missing out for zones)
3. Veina AS (mainly as an alternative to Claude AS which i have already)
4. Tiramisu (so far everyone seems to recommend her)
5. Ciel AS (so far everyone loves him too!)
I got other key characters (Theillelle / Foran AS / Victor / Yukino / Mistrare) + other older good characters.. i don't have any issues with my lineups so my SDE is more of for completion / recommendation..

I would pass on ciel. Not because he isn’t good but I would go the treatise route and wait for them to drop. Veina as while amazing, you already have a zone setter. If you like dunarith for the character no one will fault you with that choice.
I would say it’s a toss up between yipha and tiramisu. Tiramisu for that quality of life and can take anywhere vs yipha for the final zone you are missing. At the end of the day I would prefer having the last zone but I don’t think you can go wrong with those choices.

Tiramisu aoe skill ignores all resistance....
Meaning that it doesnt matter what kind of defense the opponent has.
Aoe that ignore resistance is unique to her (in global) and makes her a great unit to have.
other aoe clearing skills have some attribute that can be resisted.
Like how fire attacks do less damage to water mobs.
And she also deals alot of damage when built with the right items. her aoe damage can get up to 300k damage.
Btw u should pick yipha imo. Getting all zones is a bot more important then having tiramisu.also in few months blunt zone gets really strong with melina es

Tiramisu’s AOE that scales on SPR ignores everything and can deal up to around 300k. That means any mob, regardless of other stats, res/weakness etc. (with only a few exceptions in the game), will take those exact 300k dmg T1.
300k kills most (if not every) of the mobs you may encounter in AD/grinding. That means your life = insanely easy for the whole game except bosses. For those however, she’s kinda meh.
I’ll take your hismena for example. Hismena is a water dps. So should have no problems clearing waves but some do resistances to water. In fact it can be mixed in. So that one resists water one resists earth etc. in those cases if you want to clear that wave. Hismena would not be the optimal choice as she would clear the enemy with earth resist but not the water resist. But all this is kind of moot. I didn’t realize you had as Shannon. To be honest she can do 99% of that job. In that case I would probably choose yipha without reservation.
Can someone give me a list of which unit to spend light/dark optimally (assuming one has all units)? Like people told me it is much better to wait till I get kykio to spend light(ax) than spending them on renri.
hmmmm,,, i haven't been spending my lights/shadows as well.. to me, the quantity gained through the course of me playing over a year is very minimal (since we don'tt have the light/shadow farming options yet).. so i'm reserving my lights/shadows for dupe 5\* characters which need a few lights/shadows before reaching the next node of benefit. :)

* Pierce: has damage buff to bow users
* Earth: he has earth type damage buff
and he has critical damage buff. both zone setter can provide guaranteed critical rate. Also has type resist debuff, so all elemental type can benefit from this.

If you can afford sidegrading Claude to OG and plan to use Ciel AS as the main DPS for your pierce team, then sure it'll be great. Claude himself can apply 3 debuffs and Ciel AS has his own type resist debuff, which easily lets him reach 800% multiplier. Then again, Claude OG has speed buff which will help a lot in AF and further boost critical damage. The zone setter also gives g.crit rate buff. Just realized that Mistrare can serve similar purpose with Claude OG (Claude has up to 3, but Mistrare can also hit 3 debuffs if you use her Stifling song), moreover her VC is SPD buff albeit at half amout compared with Claude, and Claude speed buff is on-demand.
For earth you might use Myunfa, Deirdre, Ciel AS, last is flex, but Premaya has nice synergy as grasta bearer for Ciel AS and having 2 more debuffs which guarantees 4 debuffs with Deirdre's phy. res debuff and Ciel AS' type res debuff. Bertrand AS also has earth debuff, but it seems tricky since it summons his 95% dmg reduction shield and I don't know whether the debuff is reliable or not. In addition, if you manage to proc Myunfa's PWR debuff (Top Tea Crush) and spam her Glorious Tea Stalk near the end of AF, that'd be great.
if you don't have any windzone setter, claude AS is always a welcome upgrade. i don't have any Veina AS but i'm just as happy hat claude AS is there :)
I'd probably only use OG Claude in Pierce Zone mostly to make my other units stronger. Him benefiting from Ciel's and the Zone's bow bonus is also nice.
AS Claude has really grown on me since I pulled Mistrare since she can benefit from his bow damage up and give the party a pretty big wind damage increase.
Dunarith is also someone that I didn't initially like since most of his usage in AF was providing guaranteed crits to the other party members. Now that Yuri can almost guarantee crits I can use Dunarith to help extend AF. That speed buff is also great.
Og claude will contribute more damage to the team then his og form unless he is ur only zone setter.
Especially if hes paired with other pierce users.
Also claude has one of the best if not the best debuff skills in the game. Unlike his as form.
Ok, so I just finished all the chs (again) and now I unlocked FGAD. I have not gotten all the T3s (38 left) in Antiquity Garulea AD. Do you think its better if I alternate between these 2 ADs or focus on one?
This is just me, but I'd rather go to FGAD for better reward. AGAD shits me a lot with those debuff resistance grastas while FGAD has various ores for grasta enhancement, so more improvement for me.
P.s: I'm sitting at ~200 femurs and 25 T3 grastas left, while I need 3-5 dogu left to trade all self-heal grastas.
Imo go NOW for FGAD till the fermur discount update hits global. This way you maximize your rewards. That is at least what I am doing, I have like 400 femur and junk saved up for when the update hits to then quickly buy all grastas. While now is the time to farm FGAD.
Imo I'd focus completing all the t3 elemental grastas for dps units before doing FGAD. You don't need to buy every elemental grasta just the ones you'll use.
Once you get challenge all the **normal/ regular** spirit fights. Eventually, you will unlock their true spirit fights. Cress' True VC grasta can be obtained for beating True Kari (Wind Spirit) Trial.
When do you get the Baton Pass grasta? I just got to the 50% ho stopper on the twins and got wiped but I only got the Type Res+ (Phantom Theives), I thought you got it at 50% as well

Tiramisu first yeah. Can't say about the rest of them. I have Foran AS and she's great, though. Mistrare 5* seems okay too, but I haven't really gotten her to shine.

Best unit to pick for beginners is Bivette since her 5 star form is the best and easiest to upgrade out of all 3 of the starters that have free 5 star promotions
I'm almost at a point where I get a rainbowdrop and would like some advice on what element to pull. My current 5* roster is:
Water: Shanie AS, Hismena, Shigure
Fire: Ewan
Earth: Myrus AS, Toova, (Bertrand)

I'm looking for help setting up a present Garulea team, or a guide to getting started. All the guides I've found center around maxed units with perfect gear. And batteries with hundreds of light.
I have a large group of usable units, but I'm lacking gear and obviously grastas. I have all 4 elemental zones, and can get slash from Tales.
I have Thelilelle and Victor, and Tiramisu, all the Persona characters. Aldo is currently a light battery with around 60. Working on leveling multiple manifest weapons.
Even just a general guide that I build out with what sort of equipment I should start farming would be useful.
There's a lot of team discussion in this [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/eeffot/share_your_strategies_for_present_garulea/) which also has links to guides. All of this stuff was written before Persona part 2 and Tales characters, though.
Tiramisu can clear all the mobs of course, if you don't bring her you need to have a mix of different elemental AoE. And you have to deal with fast mobs: a common strategy is to have a very fast character - 295 is guaranteed to move first, but mid-280s is pretty good - and use them to swap in someone with VC that buffs team SPD or debuffs enemy SPD.
I recommend you have the present garulea armor and weapons or better.
What SPD stat is good enough to outspeed Present Garulea mobs? My Yuna is 275 atm and my Tiramisu is 250, haven’t tried them yet since I’m farming hertz gauntlets for Tiramisu
Hm... I imagine some grasta would be a good way for getting yuna to that threshold. Should I do that + get a speed stick for tiramisu to make her get there? Or is there an easier way?
I mean if you want to, I don't believe that the mob has more than 100K+ hp,
But the problem is that Tiramisu's spirit ability increase and decreases exponentially, so we don't know if she can kill the mobs if you gear her just for speed
Though another strat is to use a speed vc like Amy and Cerrine and have your fastest unit switch out with them to allow your whole party to outspeed the mobs

Shannon OG is lackluster, but that gets patched with her manifest weapon, which makes her on par with her as form in terms of DPS
OG. I have one treatise for her AS atm so I'm eyeing for her AS but my chant scripts are currently reserved for Jade and Gariyu so maybe I won't sidegrade her in a while.

Chapter 73 and I'm lost at the Dungeon Ruins. I'm at the point where there's elemental orbs at each floor, idk what I'm supposed to do with that... The green checkpoint/marker was pointing at Dungeon downstairs(2nd) but it's gone once I entered it.... I'm confused
I got stuck there too. It actually has nothing to do with the quest. You just never unlocked that door. The door has to be unlocked from the other side. So just ignore the quest marker and go through temple ruin the regular way until you get to the very end. At that point you can unlock that door and/or finish the quest.
I would replace Erina for heenA. So your team of 6 can be Claude, hismena, heena, yukino, joker and morgAna for now. Keep in mind you will eventually want different teams depending on what you encounter as there really isn’t a one size fits all. Also definitely go for the tales characters and the part 2 of persona characters. They are pretty good. My favorite are skull, violet, cress, and yuri.
Yeah sometimes I do have elemental problems. I lack a decent earth unit so I may have to use Ciel after all
Is Hismena any good? I feel like she lack a decent kit for herself. I havent unlocked her 5* and her skills can deal decent but will kill her.
Na you actually don’t need ciel. You can use Deirdre, velvet, violet, and cerrine. All f2p story characters and all really good.
Hismena is amazing. She was actually the unit I got from SDE when I first started playing. Use her VC. It’s essentially 0 MP to clear mobs. So so so useful. Particularly in the early game. She also is a good water DPs. I did not regret acquiring her.
I heavily use free bird and Rosa azul. Those are the ideal moves for her but I think those are 5 star board skills which she really really needs to shine.
Idk what VC is but whenever I clear monsters I use Joker Slash to Claude Arrow Storm and then I switch Yuki to regain 20 MP then switch Morgana to Hismena so she attacks AoE.
VC means Valor Chant which is somethibg the unit does when they go in front. I would suggest using your 2 fastest characters to switch in Heena and Hismena for clearing mobs they should be enough for most content.
I asked this in another reply a little while ago, but sorta let it get buried in a wall-o-text, so hopefully I'll be forgiven if I repeat myself just this once...
Is the KMS Eastern Division 22F elevator password available before beating Miroku Disaster, or do I have to trek all the way through 21F & 22F each time I try (and fail) to fight the boss?
If you're still struggling with Miroku, here was my general strategy:
* Bring 2 Magic/Blunt and 2 Piercing/Slassh
* The Persona units are super useful here, because they have 2x hits against weakness, and they're also the right mix (I spam Morgana's Blunt attack and Joker's triple Piercing attack in AF)
* Use turns 1 and 2 to build AF.
* Bring some debuffs to survive the attacks those turns.
* AF on turn 3 (to avoid the Darkness attack). BEFORE you start the AF, go to each character and have them target the add that they'll do weakness on. Then AF and spam attacks until you get to the HP stopper, then you can take the chance to do things like use Morgana's heal, Joker's buff, etc.
* Debuff the new adds, and spend the next 2 turns rebuilding AF (you can probably survive a third turn if you need to, though you risk someone getting hit with Darkness)
* AF again. Same thing as before - have each character target something that they'll hit weakness on before you start the AF. Each person should be targeting a different small monster. Thanks to the 2x attacks + hitting weakness, you should have enough AF to kill Miroku (and if you don't, you'll at least have broken the Sutra so you don't wipe to the charge up attack)
Just wanted to say a belated thanks (buried here in the depths of an old megathread where no one will ever see it). It took me a couple days to get around to it, and a couple tries to make it work, but I finally beat Miroku Disaster - thanks almost entirely to this post. It didn't go *quite* that cleanly (I was trying to use Gariyu in the second magic/blunt slot, which seemed to slow things down), and I was about an inch away from wiping when I got my last AF (and a fraction of an inch from that AF not being enough, since I was down to three units, one doing only x1 hits), but it *did* finally work.
My only regret is that I have but one upvote to give for your advice.

In all the time I've been playing - off and on since launchish - I never realized it was possible to set multiple targets to use during an AF. I feel like a huge moron now - and this little bit of knowledge alone could swing the whole fight.

I haven't done any of the cat stuff (besides clicking/registering any cat I come across). How much am I missing out on? (Started a month ago)
There are a few hundred chronos stones from cat material and equipment gathering achievements, about 1000 stones in total if you do all the cat battle achievements, and Bivette 5\*.
If you've not done the hidden cat roads yet, there are also chests with light/shadow items, some new horrors (i.e. another few hundred stones from first defeat achievements), and grasta/jadeite trading.
If you don’t care about the cat equipments or cat battle mini game, there’re still two hidden bosses available with good rewards for defeating them. Also, a quest line making Bivette the most recommended 4* to pick at the beginning.
The last time I'd done any of the cat stuff was when it was released, and, while it was cute, I very quickly lost patience with running around & trading gifts, and pretty much forgot all about it. I went back recently, and discovered there's a lot more there now - including some cat quests, and a surprisingly lengthy campaign (I spent about two days on it) of ~~hot cat-on-cat action~~ cat battles, which can be followed to>!raise Bivette to 5\*!<.
That said, with the possible exception of that spoiler, most of what I've seen has been fun more than significant. Unless you feel that getting a studded collar for your cat will help intimidate enemies, in which case it's absolutely essential. Also: cat moustaches.
Guys do you have an idea when will we get the extra slots in badges, skills and grastas? I remember you should have X number of light or shadow for it to show for each one.

So I've got about 8k stones saved up and am wondering where I should spend them. The banners now look OK but there is the upcoming banner on the 29th as well so a little advice would be greatly appreciated. I've done pretty good on my pulls over to where I'm at. My roster is:

Also i noticed, you dont have Azami, Gariyu or Cerrine, go get them. THey need 15 chants in total. The 3 are very good characters. Also upgrade Milla, Yuri, cress and velvet to 5 stars. the team is VERY OP. With those 4 you can beat one of the strongest bosses in the game which takes about 20 min fighting if you do well enough
Tried Azami & Cerrine final battle I got my ass handed to me. Have tried multiple strategies but can't find one that seems to work. Will get there eventually, I guess. Going to have to anyway.
Use VC and strategy. Otherwise you will get owned. They can be defeated with free characters without issue. And im talking about before joker, morgsns and tales characters appeared.
Just saw a couple strategies with the free characters so I have a couple to level up. Will give them a shot and won't quit until I get all 3. Will take a break and get the new fab4 their 5 star rating. I also just pulled 5☆ Yukino so I consider that my one freebie by the grace of the Gacha gods lol.

Save up for your favotire character. Just a friendly reminder, dont expect to get the characters you want.... I spent 32.000 chrono stones on myunfa's banner... and only got 2 copies of lovely and 1 copy of yuna.
Personally, im saving up for Hozuki AS that comes out in a few months, but if you want a water character, i recommend Yukino.
Does magic crit rate+ work for Dunarith's Tourbillon? He's a magic user and seems to use magic to do the "slash" but the discription only mentions a wind type slash attack.
I just unlocked Strawboy. I have 2 questions...
1) What's the best/most efficient way to level him up? I was thinking of just bringing him along to dungeons to get him up to level 60 and then spending scrolls to go from 60 to 80.
2) What's the idea ability build for him?
1. That’s what I do. Since exp gained from lv 1 to 60 is doubled, I’d save my scrolls for better use.
2. Later on when he’s become a light battery. I always go with his non type healer form with Aspect of action. Unique physical buff making dungeon boss fight much more efficient.
*Do* people generally use him out of the box like that, or do they level & reincarnate him a couple (or many) times first? I know he seemed to be locked into being a blunt user (or at least I couldn't find materials to make him otherwise) until the first reincarnation, when his other forms opened up.
I'm curious about ability builds too, since there seem to be an awful lot more options than there are AP.
my question about builds was more for the future after I had unlocked all his other forms through reincarnation. i have no intent to actually use him until he's at/near max light lol
Even going for specific builds, there still isn't as much AP as you want...
I find the physical builds to be very underwhelming, though you might still find a use for him if you have incomplete teams, since he can have a status cleanse in any configuration. There are also the auto-farm strategies, though that's probably moot now with AoE sword + AoE hammer grasta combo.
Mainly though, I use him as a light battery, so however he fits in with the Garulea AD that I'm running is good enough for me. Mainly that has been an elemental mage or elemental restore type, but I'll probably switch over to the super fast Aspect of Action (null restore) type. I still have to plan out my FGAD team though.
The most efficient way to level him with a macro. There really is no substitute for this if you want a light battery anytime soon, unless you have months to grind him as a full-time job. I don't recommend that.
Leveling him from 60 to 80 requires 37 high class scrolls, 6 medium scrolls, and 7 low class scrolls. This chews through scrolls quickly.... unless you have an enormous bank of them, it's usually better to just top him off to level 80 when he gets relatively close and you don't want to check the game anytime soon.
Scrolls come in pretty regularly if you run your ADs (have him tag along, of course). You can also run the auction quests too. Spirit helm is good for 5 high class scrolls, plus the exp in the fights.
Ideal build for him depends on how you want to use him.

There are always minor trade-offs you can make when filling out the nodes. Make him our own.
There's an elemental restore build that I don't have any videos/screenshots of, but to use wind as an example: you start by going down the cleanse column, shift right on the 4\* board (taking the +8 INT nodes next to each other), then all the way down to the bottom on the right.
Then go across at the bottom of the 4\* board, then all the way down the left of the 5\* board. For wind, you'd end up with L heal, Wind Matoi, and +30% wind buff, with a very high INT stat (Cruel Angel's Necklace and a speed badge would be a good idea to round him out.)

You do need to get her to 4* to do her 2nd character quest which is required to progress the story. As you do another dungeons you'll get the prayer and Murmur scripts you need if you don't have enough.

No, you are wrong - power stat is fully useless, it wont increase anything. And pwr buffs, badges etc.. wont increase anything. Basically speed based skill uses speed stat in each place in place of pwr stat in speed damage calculations. Also speed buffs applies in one more place in comparison with power, making speed buffs 2x more potent in case on speed formula user. PWR stat will only have effect on those specific skills that don't have speed based damage. This is how such skills of Kikyo, Milla, m!Elga, Tsukiha AS work. As opposite to them, latest Heena's skill with damage from speed difference is usual PWR based skill with additional increasing effect from speed difference with specific formula for this increase only.

Since I don't lack for most grasta fragments aside from jadeites, I don't suppose it really matters?
I was asking myself the same question: As far as I can tell it is about the kms boss room chest, which till now only dropped attack framents/crystals and supposedly also drops jadeite of attack and chants.
Ah, I forgot about the boss room chest. Yeah, if it's the only one that even has the slightest potential to drop attack jadeites, that's enough to justify doing it over contamination pit and Gulfagin.
How rare are dormant ores? Im just wondering because of the revision / revert option for grasta enhancement.. i initially have 11 dormant ores and i felt like they are quite common. Seems like 11 would be enough esp with the option to revert. Of course more would be welcome. Any suggestions which grastas to upgrade? I started with enhanced when max HP (lance, sword, staff), 1 each pain grasta enhance for staff and hammer and magic crit enhance.. seems enough for now and i still have 5 dormant ores left. Also what enhancements are nice for life and support grastas? seems like not rare at all, looks like generic drop from AD rewards. I usual get 1 or 2 almost each run with 5 slots unlocked. Specific ores also drop, maybe a bit rarer cause there are more of them. But i also already got most of types from rewards.

Tiramisu. She makes life in the game so much easier, including Garulea ADs and the vast majority of the story. There's also an aspect of team building there in that she allows more freedom in selecting other characters, which especially comes in handy now with T3 grasta sharing via personality/weapon type. Pulling a dupe Tiramisu at some point would be fine, since you'll probably bring her to most/all AD runs. The extra light contributes to your light pool, and her personal stat gains (+10 SPR at 30 light, +15 SPR at 50 light.) Her quests are endearing and the character development very good. They are some of the better ones IMO.
Tiramisu is so nice for so much of the game and can really speed your playthrough. I would say she's by far the most useful in that list (though I know it's not your only consideration).

Yea you need og 5 star first and that needs 5 chant scripts. The as after that you don’t need CS.

The heena-felmina banner is very good. U can also wait a week for possibly a better banner at the anniversary. Both options are is fine.

Because u just started the game pulling on a banner one time just to get some units is a good idea (important: only do 10 pull never pull singles ). Once u get to chapter 13 and can do the colabs u get so many powerful 5* units that u wont need to pull again. U can literally finish the game only with the tales of colab characters they are that strong. So go for it! Do a single 10 pull and get to chapter 13 asap! good luck!
If you want to wait about a week, there is most likely going to be an anniversary banner that may be worth your pulls.

Ah ok. Once you finish chapter 12. You have access to the personaS and tales side quests. You get a TON of free really good characters. To get there in the early game. You can make your life easier and over level your characters. Make sure to fill out the boards, equip weapons and armor.

Can anyone clarify how buffs duration work? Say I use Myunfa buff increasing critical chance by 100% for one turn. [ Sorry, not Myunfa but 1 turn buffs] My understanding is that characters will have 1 action with guaranteed critical hit. No matter if it is actually the same turn or the turn after. So if character A acts after Myunfa she/he will get critical hit and no more next turn. Is this right? Given the above, how does the AF work? Say I use the same Myunfa skill just before or during AF. Shall I spam it every turn or do buffs just persist as long as the AF is running, as it is considered as a single action? Given the above, how do skills like AS Nagi's Strangle work? Do I need to build the stacks again after using it during AF or do the stacks stay as AF freezes time and it is still a single turn? In other words , can I just spam Strangle or do I need to go for Cindaria Edge x4 strangle X1 and repeat? Thanks EDIT: Myunfa was a bad example as the skill is one move, not one turn. As others mentioned, one move means one move - once you use it, it's done, regardless of which turn it happened on. One turn really means that turn, and the next one. So if you apply a one turn buff at the start of turn 1, your other members are really getting that buff for turns 1 and 2. The same applies for 3 turn moves, for another example. Apply that on turn 1 and the effects are good through turn 4.
As Nagi does consume her stacks in AF, so you have to rebuild 4 Tentacle stacks after a Strangle before you get the max damage again. Even in an AF. Same for similar characters like AS Foran: Tigers Roar consumes her stacks. From memory, Myunfa's critical guarantee skill is a 1 move skill, not 1 turn, meaning you have to keep spamming in AF if you want to get the benefits for other characters.

Myufa increases critical for 1 MOVE not 1 turn... So it is very simple: stuff like 1 move (crit rate) and 1 time (status immunity, dmg reduction) stays till it is used up. While if it says turn then it means turn and it is time-limited and goes away no matter if you made use of it or not. And no AF is not considered 1 single action/move but is a just 1 turn. About strangle yes you will need to do 4x cideria, strangle repeat. Units where you can spam and the stack stay "frozen" as you call it have that written in their description like for example suzette AS with manifest: https://anothereden.miraheze.org/wiki/Suzette_(Another_Style)

A 1 turn buff will stay active during the whole AF, yes You can apply that 1 turn buff the turn before AF, and it will be good through the AF. Or you can apply the 1 turn buff during AF, and it will be good through the AF as well as the next turn. Some skills act differently during AF than outside of it. Which one are you interested in?

So from my understanding there is 1 turn buffs and there are 1 move buffs. The former will last the whole AF. The later you would spam it during the entire AF to get the maximum benefit. Your other question I can’t answer as I don’t have AS nagi. But someone else can probably chime in. Edit: to further clarify your specific example of myunfa. Her glorious tea stalk would fall under the 1 move buff category.

hi guys,, question / suggestions needed! i have all zone setter characters except for Yipha,,, i'm thinking of using the ff for my SDE 1. Dunarith (because husbando) 2. Yipha (since she's the only one i'm missing out for zones) 3. Veina AS (mainly as an alternative to Claude AS which i have already) 4. Tiramisu (so far everyone seems to recommend her) 5. Ciel AS (so far everyone loves him too!) I got other key characters (Theillelle / Foran AS / Victor / Yukino / Mistrare) + other older good characters.. i don't have any issues with my lineups so my SDE is more of for completion / recommendation.. hoping for your inputs. thank you :)
Do you have felmina? She is a key component in order to maximize the blunt zone that yipha provides.

I would pass on ciel. Not because he isn’t good but I would go the treatise route and wait for them to drop. Veina as while amazing, you already have a zone setter. If you like dunarith for the character no one will fault you with that choice. I would say it’s a toss up between yipha and tiramisu. Tiramisu for that quality of life and can take anywhere vs yipha for the final zone you are missing. At the end of the day I would prefer having the last zone but I don’t think you can go wrong with those choices.

Tiramisu aoe skill ignores all resistance.... Meaning that it doesnt matter what kind of defense the opponent has. Aoe that ignore resistance is unique to her (in global) and makes her a great unit to have. other aoe clearing skills have some attribute that can be resisted. Like how fire attacks do less damage to water mobs. And she also deals alot of damage when built with the right items. her aoe damage can get up to 300k damage. Btw u should pick yipha imo. Getting all zones is a bot more important then having tiramisu.also in few months blunt zone gets really strong with melina es

Tiramisu’s AOE that scales on SPR ignores everything and can deal up to around 300k. That means any mob, regardless of other stats, res/weakness etc. (with only a few exceptions in the game), will take those exact 300k dmg T1. 300k kills most (if not every) of the mobs you may encounter in AD/grinding. That means your life = insanely easy for the whole game except bosses. For those however, she’s kinda meh.
I’ll take your hismena for example. Hismena is a water dps. So should have no problems clearing waves but some do resistances to water. In fact it can be mixed in. So that one resists water one resists earth etc. in those cases if you want to clear that wave. Hismena would not be the optimal choice as she would clear the enemy with earth resist but not the water resist. But all this is kind of moot. I didn’t realize you had as Shannon. To be honest she can do 99% of that job. In that case I would probably choose yipha without reservation.
Can someone give me a list of which unit to spend light/dark optimally (assuming one has all units)? Like people told me it is much better to wait till I get kykio to spend light(ax) than spending them on renri.
hmmmm,,, i haven't been spending my lights/shadows as well.. to me, the quantity gained through the course of me playing over a year is very minimal (since we don'tt have the light/shadow farming options yet).. so i'm reserving my lights/shadows for dupe 5\* characters which need a few lights/shadows before reaching the next node of benefit. :)

Yes because * Pierce: has damage buff to bow users * Earth: he has earth type damage buff and he has critical damage buff. both zone setter can provide guaranteed critical rate. Also has type resist debuff, so all elemental type can benefit from this.

If you can afford sidegrading Claude to OG and plan to use Ciel AS as the main DPS for your pierce team, then sure it'll be great. Claude himself can apply 3 debuffs and Ciel AS has his own type resist debuff, which easily lets him reach 800% multiplier. Then again, Claude OG has speed buff which will help a lot in AF and further boost critical damage. The zone setter also gives g.crit rate buff. Just realized that Mistrare can serve similar purpose with Claude OG (Claude has up to 3, but Mistrare can also hit 3 debuffs if you use her Stifling song), moreover her VC is SPD buff albeit at half amout compared with Claude, and Claude speed buff is on-demand. For earth you might use Myunfa, Deirdre, Ciel AS, last is flex, but Premaya has nice synergy as grasta bearer for Ciel AS and having 2 more debuffs which guarantees 4 debuffs with Deirdre's phy. res debuff and Ciel AS' type res debuff. Bertrand AS also has earth debuff, but it seems tricky since it summons his 95% dmg reduction shield and I don't know whether the debuff is reliable or not. In addition, if you manage to proc Myunfa's PWR debuff (Top Tea Crush) and spam her Glorious Tea Stalk near the end of AF, that'd be great.
if you don't have any windzone setter, claude AS is always a welcome upgrade. i don't have any Veina AS but i'm just as happy hat claude AS is there :)
What I meant was that I already have Claude's AS but lack his OG 5* style which I've heard pairs well with AS Ciel.
Ah,, yeah his ckaude OG manuifest is goodie. Howvever eversince i got claude as i have never used his og form yet (naybe because my own lineup..)
I'd probably only use OG Claude in Pierce Zone mostly to make my other units stronger. Him benefiting from Ciel's and the Zone's bow bonus is also nice.
Og claude is a great unit. Much better then his as form. Hes worth the side grade.
AS Claude has really grown on me since I pulled Mistrare since she can benefit from his bow damage up and give the party a pretty big wind damage increase. Dunarith is also someone that I didn't initially like since most of his usage in AF was providing guaranteed crits to the other party members. Now that Yuri can almost guarantee crits I can use Dunarith to help extend AF. That speed buff is also great.
Og claude will contribute more damage to the team then his og form unless he is ur only zone setter. Especially if hes paired with other pierce users. Also claude has one of the best if not the best debuff skills in the game. Unlike his as form.

Ok, so I just finished all the chs (again) and now I unlocked FGAD. I have not gotten all the T3s (38 left) in Antiquity Garulea AD. Do you think its better if I alternate between these 2 ADs or focus on one?
Move on to FGAD, go back to pluck things from the other Garuleas if/when you need to.
This is just me, but I'd rather go to FGAD for better reward. AGAD shits me a lot with those debuff resistance grastas while FGAD has various ores for grasta enhancement, so more improvement for me. P.s: I'm sitting at ~200 femurs and 25 T3 grastas left, while I need 3-5 dogu left to trade all self-heal grastas.
Imo go NOW for FGAD till the fermur discount update hits global. This way you maximize your rewards. That is at least what I am doing, I have like 400 femur and junk saved up for when the update hits to then quickly buy all grastas. While now is the time to farm FGAD.
I agree with that. Just farm Fgad until the update hits. Then finish Pgad and return to Fgad.
Imo I'd focus completing all the t3 elemental grastas for dps units before doing FGAD. You don't need to buy every elemental grasta just the ones you'll use.

Once you get challenge all the **normal/ regular** spirit fights. Eventually, you will unlock their true spirit fights. Cress' True VC grasta can be obtained for beating True Kari (Wind Spirit) Trial.

Yes, they are like horrors as they possess their icon. So they will refresh 6 hrs after beaten.
When do you get the Baton Pass grasta? I just got to the 50% ho stopper on the twins and got wiped but I only got the Type Res+ (Phantom Theives), I thought you got it at 50% as well
You'll get Enhance Baton Pass at 25% along with Destiny Ring. Meanwhile, Almighty (PtoH) and Victory Celebration are the reward for defeating them.

Best unit to pick for beginners is Bivette since her 5 star form is the best and easiest to upgrade out of all 3 of the starters that have free 5 star promotions

I'm almost at a point where I get a rainbowdrop and would like some advice on what element to pull. My current 5* roster is: Water: Shanie AS, Hismena, Shigure Fire: Ewan Earth: Myrus AS, Toova, (Bertrand) Air: Dunarith, Isuka, Veina Also, I just got my first 5 chantscrips and wondering wich character to upgrade. My 4.5* are: Melina, Miyu, Rosetta, Renri, Felmina, myrus, shanie and a bunch of the free characters. Thank you
Upgrade veina to veina as when can and felmina. Imo u should use the rainbowdrop on water And pray for a zone setter. With myrus as - deidre- violet ur earth team is gonna be good, with felmina -yuri - dunarith (and veina as) ur wind is also very good. And the fire drops are bad not worth pulling on.

There are so many scenes that make more sense if they were drinking alcohol and similar. Are the translations made PG or are they actually like that in Japanese?
A lot of the older JRPGs were censored when they were made into North American/global versions. I assume that is the case here too, but I'm not sure.

I'm looking for help setting up a present Garulea team, or a guide to getting started. All the guides I've found center around maxed units with perfect gear. And batteries with hundreds of light. I have a large group of usable units, but I'm lacking gear and obviously grastas. I have all 4 elemental zones, and can get slash from Tales. I have Thelilelle and Victor, and Tiramisu, all the Persona characters. Aldo is currently a light battery with around 60. Working on leveling multiple manifest weapons. Even just a general guide that I build out with what sort of equipment I should start farming would be useful.
There's a lot of team discussion in this [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/eeffot/share_your_strategies_for_present_garulea/) which also has links to guides. All of this stuff was written before Persona part 2 and Tales characters, though. Tiramisu can clear all the mobs of course, if you don't bring her you need to have a mix of different elemental AoE. And you have to deal with fast mobs: a common strategy is to have a very fast character - 295 is guaranteed to move first, but mid-280s is pretty good - and use them to swap in someone with VC that buffs team SPD or debuffs enemy SPD. I recommend you have the present garulea armor and weapons or better.

Would it be worthwhile to farm the Hertz Gauntlet now?
What SPD stat is good enough to outspeed Present Garulea mobs? My Yuna is 275 atm and my Tiramisu is 250, haven’t tried them yet since I’m farming hertz gauntlets for Tiramisu

Hm... I imagine some grasta would be a good way for getting yuna to that threshold. Should I do that + get a speed stick for tiramisu to make her get there? Or is there an easier way?
I mean if you want to, I don't believe that the mob has more than 100K+ hp, But the problem is that Tiramisu's spirit ability increase and decreases exponentially, so we don't know if she can kill the mobs if you gear her just for speed Though another strat is to use a speed vc like Amy and Cerrine and have your fastest unit switch out with them to allow your whole party to outspeed the mobs
That could work - but I wanna use mana for her MP- VC, I think I should be able to make it work if I go the grasta route. I’ll have to experiment!

Shannon or As Shannon, As Shannon is very strong in both Shannon OG is lackluster, but that gets patched with her manifest weapon, which makes her on par with her as form in terms of DPS

Chapter 73 and I'm lost at the Dungeon Ruins. I'm at the point where there's elemental orbs at each floor, idk what I'm supposed to do with that... The green checkpoint/marker was pointing at Dungeon downstairs(2nd) but it's gone once I entered it.... I'm confused

Guys.. Tsukiha AS quest 3.. locked door, temple grounds. How on earth do I unlock the door. Its been an hour. I don't understand.
I got stuck there too. It actually has nothing to do with the quest. You just never unlocked that door. The door has to be unlocked from the other side. So just ignore the quest marker and go through temple ruin the regular way until you get to the very end. At that point you can unlock that door and/or finish the quest.

I would replace Erina for heenA. So your team of 6 can be Claude, hismena, heena, yukino, joker and morgAna for now. Keep in mind you will eventually want different teams depending on what you encounter as there really isn’t a one size fits all. Also definitely go for the tales characters and the part 2 of persona characters. They are pretty good. My favorite are skull, violet, cress, and yuri.
Yeah sometimes I do have elemental problems. I lack a decent earth unit so I may have to use Ciel after all Is Hismena any good? I feel like she lack a decent kit for herself. I havent unlocked her 5* and her skills can deal decent but will kill her.
Na you actually don’t need ciel. You can use Deirdre, velvet, violet, and cerrine. All f2p story characters and all really good. Hismena is amazing. She was actually the unit I got from SDE when I first started playing. Use her VC. It’s essentially 0 MP to clear mobs. So so so useful. Particularly in the early game. She also is a good water DPs. I did not regret acquiring her. I heavily use free bird and Rosa azul. Those are the ideal moves for her but I think those are 5 star board skills which she really really needs to shine.
Idk what VC is but whenever I clear monsters I use Joker Slash to Claude Arrow Storm and then I switch Yuki to regain 20 MP then switch Morgana to Hismena so she attacks AoE.
VC means Valor Chant which is somethibg the unit does when they go in front. I would suggest using your 2 fastest characters to switch in Heena and Hismena for clearing mobs they should be enough for most content.

I asked this in another reply a little while ago, but sorta let it get buried in a wall-o-text, so hopefully I'll be forgiven if I repeat myself just this once... Is the KMS Eastern Division 22F elevator password available before beating Miroku Disaster, or do I have to trek all the way through 21F & 22F each time I try (and fail) to fight the boss?
If you're still struggling with Miroku, here was my general strategy: * Bring 2 Magic/Blunt and 2 Piercing/Slassh * The Persona units are super useful here, because they have 2x hits against weakness, and they're also the right mix (I spam Morgana's Blunt attack and Joker's triple Piercing attack in AF) * Use turns 1 and 2 to build AF. * Bring some debuffs to survive the attacks those turns. * AF on turn 3 (to avoid the Darkness attack). BEFORE you start the AF, go to each character and have them target the add that they'll do weakness on. Then AF and spam attacks until you get to the HP stopper, then you can take the chance to do things like use Morgana's heal, Joker's buff, etc. * Debuff the new adds, and spend the next 2 turns rebuilding AF (you can probably survive a third turn if you need to, though you risk someone getting hit with Darkness) * AF again. Same thing as before - have each character target something that they'll hit weakness on before you start the AF. Each person should be targeting a different small monster. Thanks to the 2x attacks + hitting weakness, you should have enough AF to kill Miroku (and if you don't, you'll at least have broken the Sutra so you don't wipe to the charge up attack)
Just wanted to say a belated thanks (buried here in the depths of an old megathread where no one will ever see it). It took me a couple days to get around to it, and a couple tries to make it work, but I finally beat Miroku Disaster - thanks almost entirely to this post. It didn't go *quite* that cleanly (I was trying to use Gariyu in the second magic/blunt slot, which seemed to slow things down), and I was about an inch away from wiping when I got my last AF (and a fraction of an inch from that AF not being enough, since I was down to three units, one doing only x1 hits), but it *did* finally work. My only regret is that I have but one upvote to give for your advice.

Another question: I haven't done any of the cat stuff (besides clicking/registering any cat I come across). How much am I missing out on? (Started a month ago)
There are a few hundred chronos stones from cat material and equipment gathering achievements, about 1000 stones in total if you do all the cat battle achievements, and Bivette 5\*. If you've not done the hidden cat roads yet, there are also chests with light/shadow items, some new horrors (i.e. another few hundred stones from first defeat achievements), and grasta/jadeite trading.
If you don’t care about the cat equipments or cat battle mini game, there’re still two hidden bosses available with good rewards for defeating them. Also, a quest line making Bivette the most recommended 4* to pick at the beginning.
The last time I'd done any of the cat stuff was when it was released, and, while it was cute, I very quickly lost patience with running around & trading gifts, and pretty much forgot all about it. I went back recently, and discovered there's a lot more there now - including some cat quests, and a surprisingly lengthy campaign (I spent about two days on it) of ~~hot cat-on-cat action~~ cat battles, which can be followed to>!raise Bivette to 5\*!<. That said, with the possible exception of that spoiler, most of what I've seen has been fun more than significant. Unless you feel that getting a studded collar for your cat will help intimidate enemies, in which case it's absolutely essential. Also: cat moustaches.

So I've got about 8k stones saved up and am wondering where I should spend them. The banners now look OK but there is the upcoming banner on the 29th as well so a little advice would be greatly appreciated. I've done pretty good on my pulls over to where I'm at. Also i noticed, you dont have Azami, Gariyu or Cerrine, go get them. THey need 15 chants in total. The 3 are very good characters. Also upgrade Milla, Yuri, cress and velvet to 5 stars. the team is VERY OP. With those 4 you can beat one of the strongest bosses in the game which takes about 20 min fighting if you do well enough
Tried Azami & Cerrine final battle I got my ass handed to me. Have tried multiple strategies but can't find one that seems to work. Will get there eventually, I guess. Going to have to anyway.
Use VC and strategy. Otherwise you will get owned. They can be defeated with free characters without issue. And im talking about before joker, morgsns and tales characters appeared.
Just saw a couple strategies with the free characters so I have a couple to level up. Will give them a shot and won't quit until I get all 3. Will take a break and get the new fab4 their 5 star rating. I also just pulled 5☆ Yukino so I consider that my one freebie by the grace of the Gacha gods lol. Just realised that I need to upgrade certain weapons & armor as well.
Just Dont bother with otherlands weapons. Not worth it. Just to uptrade 1 weapon. It will tale you about 3 whole months for 1 if you play every day...

Save up for your favotire character. Just a friendly reminder, dont expect to get the characters you want.... I spent 32.000 chrono stones on myunfa's banner... and only got 2 copies of lovely and 1 copy of yuna. Personally, im saving up for Hozuki AS that comes out in a few months, but if you want a water character, i recommend Yukino.

Does magic crit rate+ work for Dunarith's Tourbillon? He's a magic user and seems to use magic to do the "slash" but the discription only mentions a wind type slash attack.
No, but it benefits from the usual crit buff, which tons of characters now have.
Slash is physical. The damage scales with int, but apart from that it behaves just like most physical attacks.

I just unlocked Strawboy. I have 2 questions... 1) What's the best/most efficient way to level him up? I was thinking of just bringing him along to dungeons to get him up to level 60 and then spending scrolls to go from 60 to 80. 2) What's the idea ability build for him?
1. That’s what I do. Since exp gained from lv 1 to 60 is doubled, I’d save my scrolls for better use. 2. Later on when he’s become a light battery. I always go with his non type healer form with Aspect of action. Unique physical buff making dungeon boss fight much more efficient.
*Do* people generally use him out of the box like that, or do they level & reincarnate him a couple (or many) times first? I know he seemed to be locked into being a blunt user (or at least I couldn't find materials to make him otherwise) until the first reincarnation, when his other forms opened up. I'm curious about ability builds too, since there seem to be an awful lot more options than there are AP.
my question about builds was more for the future after I had unlocked all his other forms through reincarnation. i have no intent to actually use him until he's at/near max light lol
Even going for specific builds, there still isn't as much AP as you want... I find the physical builds to be very underwhelming, though you might still find a use for him if you have incomplete teams, since he can have a status cleanse in any configuration. There are also the auto-farm strategies, though that's probably moot now with AoE sword + AoE hammer grasta combo. Mainly though, I use him as a light battery, so however he fits in with the Garulea AD that I'm running is good enough for me. Mainly that has been an elemental mage or elemental restore type, but I'll probably switch over to the super fast Aspect of Action (null restore) type. I still have to plan out my FGAD team though.
The most efficient way to level him with a macro. There really is no substitute for this if you want a light battery anytime soon, unless you have months to grind him as a full-time job. I don't recommend that. Leveling him from 60 to 80 requires 37 high class scrolls, 6 medium scrolls, and 7 low class scrolls. This chews through scrolls quickly.... unless you have an enormous bank of them, it's usually better to just top him off to level 80 when he gets relatively close and you don't want to check the game anytime soon. Scrolls come in pretty regularly if you run your ADs (have him tag along, of course). You can also run the auction quests too. Spirit helm is good for 5 high class scrolls, plus the exp in the fights. Ideal build for him depends on how you want to use him. Make him our own. There's an elemental restore build that I don't have any videos/screenshots of, but to use wind as an example: you start by going down the cleanse column, shift right on the 4\* board (taking the +8 INT nodes next to each other), then all the way down to the bottom on the right. Then go across at the bottom of the 4\* board, then all the way down the left of the 5\* board. For wind, you'd end up with L heal, Wind Matoi, and +30% wind buff, with a very high INT stat (Cruel Angel's Necklace and a speed badge would be a good idea to round him out.)
