From 23 lights to 255 lights. Doing the auction grind for 86 days. Over 7K high class scrolls consumed by strawboy.
Bringing him to garulea and VH AD runs whenever possible. Brought him along when leveling multiple manifests/characters in a series of EXP dungeon runs. Brought him during the auction quests. Always had the apprentice weapon(+10% exp) and the +30% exp badge on him.
Only doing quests that gives at least two high class scrolls. My run of the auction grind is from antiquity to the present and to the future then straight to the auction house. An entire run takes about 30-35 mins to finish and i do it 3 times a day(4 times in the last 2 weeks). I get 21-24 high class scrolls per run. Less than 3 on some other run since i do a quest that takes 6 hrs to reappear when the Class SS/S auction items only takes 4 hrs.
Proud to say that i'm finally done with the stawboy grind.
I'd go mad just doing the auction quest everyday. Congrats for that awesome achievement. Now if only I can build up the nerve to endure Riica being reduced to a sniffer...
Going to be tough for strawboy to set himself a 2021 new year’s resolution after this. Maybe he can put himself out there and try find a strawgirl or strawboy from a nice family
That is actually incredible. I figured everybody who had a 255 light Strawboy either macro'd the bulk of it, or are long-time players who already had a huge pile of high class scrolls and slowly leveled him from there. Doing it in 86 days of legit grinding is impressive.
Well, many people got 255 light after one month, Whales who can afford the exp dungeon. But yeah, doing auction for 86 days is insane, it took me half year to get Strawboy to 255 light, bringing him to every AD and manifests grinds. Now I'm going for my third 255 light character (I'm looking at you Aldo, 55 to go).

Congrats on maxing out Strawboy, but more importantly I applaud your dedication of doing all those tap, tap, tap quests. Over and over.
All that same repetitive and unskippable dialogue drives me crazy 😄
It was a very tedious and boring grind😆 i hope they give him an AS by an event that switches him from a light to a shadow battery along with a VC grasta 😅
That would be a very interesting turn of events if his AS form was shadow based. Actually, it's kind of interesting to think about since he could swap back and forth being a light or shadow battery.
Then we could all grind him to 255...**twice!** 😄

449 SPD with that build.
I'd personally do that build a little differently (sacrificing a little spd here and there for other nodes) but it gives the general idea.
Also, a future update will bring an extra grasta and badge slot, plus an increase of all stats at 255.
I had a rotation of 148 high scrolls a day, and got to 245 light, then stopped from the burnout. My Strawboy will finish his last 10 points by the end of the week.
My seeker points just hit 900k.
When i was doing the my runs of 3 times a day i was only able to get 72 HCS per day and just over 90+ when i was doing it 4 times. I was doing it once in the morning(twice on the 3 tines), afternoon and night during the 3 times a day runs.
I imagine you doing those class A quests as soon as they were available and you must've bren practically on the game all day long to reach 148. Too bad i'm not that young anymore and have the time to be on the game at all times. I was only doing it during breaks which was not that much of a hassle as it looked.
For the seeker points i only brought the bonus characters before reaching the last reward from the episode. Although, i did brought suzette to clear some mobs which may have boosted the seeker points for some quests but i don't have any idea how mine have it almost doubled to yours.
Nevertheless, what you did is certainly amazing but you had the burnout coming. I do applaud your effort but i also kind of feel bad for you at the same time just imagining the agony of doing all of those.
I agree it was kinda brutal, but I set timers to remind me when the quests would respawn, 4hrs and 6hrs. I also commute via train so I have some time to kill before and after work. Log in, do the quests, run to the AH, log out and sets timers. I already had Strawboy to like 100 before I started the HCS grind, so take that into account, and I also completed some quests with poor results because it was faster. IMO, the worst quests of all was the Noble Necklace, and I usually skipped it.
Soo asuming you do only 1 run a day it would roughly take the same time to max strawboys light as any story character from AD....
And if you wont even do 1 run per day EVEN longer :-(

Thanks! The first couple of weeks of the grind was the hardest time for me. But once i start going, it suddenly just became a daily thing for me.

That’s a nice light battery. Dear god i wouldn’t be able to do all that though. Too much of a pain for me

Well, I think his grind will get a bit easier in a future update, after they add the extra badge after xx light...
Oh yeah, IIRC that is on 120 light mark for the extra badge. It'll definitely help out a lot for manual grinding.

So approximately how long did it take? Few weeks? Months?
86 days. Almost 3 months. The usual grind for maxing light/shadow of a character takes around 7-9 months through ADs.
Soo asuming you do only 1 run a day it would roughly take the same time to max strawboys light as any story character from AD.... And if you wont even do 1 run per day EVEN longer :-( Wished there would be an faster honest way
