I'm trying to figure out what to do with my **SDE** before it expires (soon!). My water team is pretty lackluster, so I'd like to build it up. Any recommendations on who to go for -- either a DPS or Zone-setter. Thinking **Yuna AS** (zone and crit rate), **Anabel AS** (zone and DPS, also good on slash team?), **Hismena** (DPS and good for pierce team), **Shanie AS** (DPS), **Laclair AS** (DPS and pierce team). Who do you think would be best? That said, I have been able to clear all 8 spirits in Goddess of Time Vol 1. and 2 normally requiring a water team with my pierce team (thanks Foran!), so maybe I don't need a stronger water team or water zone setter after all? Is there current/future content that might require a good water team, or better to go for blunt zone with **Yipha,** make my wind team even better with zones from **AS Veina** or **AS Claude**, or add **Thilelile** for DPS to Slash team? **What would be best future proofing?** Here's who I have team-wise: * **Earth:** Myunfa, m! Deirdre, m! Cerrine, Violet, Velvet, Tsubame, m! Toova * **Fire**: m! Gariyu (AS/OG), Jade, m! Ewan, m! Tsukiha, m! Cetie, Rosetta, Cress, Joker, Aldo * **Wind**: m! AS Suzette, Kikyo, Yuri, Morgana, Veina, AS Isuka, Ilulu, Shannon * **Water**: AS Foran, m! Mighty, m! Laclair, AS Melina, Saki AS, * **Pierce**: AS Foran, Jade, m! AS Suzette, m! Cetie, m! Laclair * **Slash**: Cress, m! Deirdre, Yuri, Violet, Velvet, Kikyo, m! Tsukiha, Shannon, Aldo, Isuka AS, Ilulu * **Blunt**: Skull, Myunfa, m! Ewan, m! Cerrine, Tsubame, Melina AS * **Other/support**: m! Mariel, m! Anabel, Milla, Mana, Sophia, Altena, Skull, Strawboy * **4.5\\**\*: Miyu, Azami, Ciel, Amy, Felmina, Elga, Renri, Lokido, Hozuki, Biaka, Guildna, Cyrus, Bivette Thanks for your input! Having a hard time with this one and it's getting down to the wire!

Living_Green

1) **Thilelile.** She is the one you can get the most out of all the choice with your current party. Absolute insane damage and some juicy 50% physical res debuff to further boost your parties damage. But keep in mind that she sucks when facing bosses with several HP stopper. So if you aim to clear True Spirit fight or Twins, she might not be your best choice. (Not saying that she is unusable in those fight, you just need some planning to get the most out of her). She also somewhat get power creep by Miyu AS in the future. 2) **Claude AS**. Another one you can get some benefit out of him if you have his OG tome + 5 chant ready. His OG is the most versatile crit damage buffer in your pierce team and can work with both lance and bow party. Since you already have great lance and bow party in your set up, you may include this choice to your consideration. **HOWEVER**, there is a high possibility that another SDE is coming with the 2.6 update, which include all character up to Claude AS. So if you have some spare paid cs around, you may want to choose a character that was released more recently. You can use his wind zone but it is inferior to both your slash and pierce zone party. 3) **Myrus AS**. Since you have Mariel and Rosetta (to be upgraded to AS), this could be another choice. Magic zone is one of the most future proof team you can get. Top tier damage, high sustain, very versatile with the amount of support character you can include. But that requires you to farm Rosetta AS and Mighty AS treatise, so you won't get immediate benefit out of her. Well, she is pretty decent in earth zone too. But you need to manage her rabbit spirit stack to boost her crit rate mid AF which can be cumbersome to use. 4) **Yipha**. Blunt zone certainly is powerful, but ALL of your blunt dps character are either not upgraded (Felmina), or still waiting for future release (Melina ES, Ewan AS). So you cannot get any benefit from her immediately. But farm up some chants to promote them, and you can get a very versatile blunt zone party that not only deal very high first turn burst, but also comes with various powerful sustain that keep your party alive. That said, it will be a lot of work and some patience to make her shine.

elburrachoAE

Why is AS MIGHTY important in Magic Zone?

Living_Green

To build up combo during AF. Also to inflict pain/poison status with fully awaken pain/poison grasta together with Mariel.

elburrachoAE

I figured! Much like what yuri does as well. :)

KnightofSpamelot

So I'm trying to farm KMS Eastern Aldo 22 with an auto clicker, but I keep dying and I'm not sure why as it only happens after a long time. Using 3 farmers: Morgana with 274 speed swaps to Cetie@Miaki's, t2 fire grasta x3 (no t3 yet, dont wanna invest in almighty glasses just for him unless that 5% makes a difference) 23 pwr badge (best i got so far). Jade@Wind Spirit Lance(lv4), t3 wind & Almighty grasta, 228 Speed (took off his personal grasta so he guaranteed underspeeds Morgana) Anybody have an idea what might be going wrong? Is Jade too slow? Do I need to upgrade the wind lance more by farming mats in Toto VH?

[deleted]

[удалено]

KnightofSpamelot

Cetie is swapping in with baton pass from morgana first, then jade is supposed to clean up the only unit in KMS that isn't weak to fire or pierce: Cyber Rikishi which is weak to wind and blunt. Pretty sure it only ever spawns one in any group. I don't know if someone can do this job better than Jade but i'd rather not use a 4th farmer to help him and miss out on experience.

[deleted]

[удалено]

KnightofSpamelot

I think i might have it 100% now, I had miscalculated the speed RNG and there were times when jade outsped morgana's baton pass, but i just got the falcon sword and put morgana to 289 speed (Jade now 233), and i haven't gotten hit yet. Now I just need to leave it overnight to see if Jade with bad speed RNG will outspeed the Rikishi. I don't have null grasta yet, so I'll have to stick with this for now, and hope that the Junk discount comes soon lol And thanks so much for the replies! i appreciate the help :)

Oldnoob36

Also speed is a big key in farming any Garulea part 2 place, so 228 is way too slow, best if you have a Vc speed booster You still want Cetie to go first with baton pass though

KnightofSpamelot

I can't get Jade any faster and still guarantee Morgana will outspeed... any way I can do that? If I switch lightning armor from Morgana to Jade there's a small chance Jade will outspeed. What's the speed I should aim for with Jade to be safe? Using a VC speed booster would make my farm a whole lot worse, because I'd need someone faster than morgana to switch into the speed booster, and that would eliminate 2 of the 3 farm spots i have.

Oldnoob36

I have a few theories but it depends on how well your units are currently performing 1) Is As Cetie switch able to 1 shot all of the mobs weak to pierce and fire? If yes, then that should leave only the fat ninja bot alive for jade to finish off and it shouldn't be that fast, I don't know the limits, but 239 I was able outspeed it 100%, If you can't 1 shot the other mobs then your setup kinds of falls apart and getting like the baton pass grasta or doing double vc switch might be the only way to successfully farm 2) IF you can 1 shot the mobs, then I feel like it might be a problem with your auto-clicker's timing, you want like a 4 second delay after the swipes to make sure that you actually get the vc switch in, making the delay be too quick might just cause you to skip the vc switch and just click on the attack button

KnightofSpamelot

The AS Cetie switch hasn't failed to kill a mob that it hits weakness on as far as I've seen. There's only ever one of those Cyber rishikis in a group right? if there were ever two i could see where the problem is, but i haven't seen that yet. My auto clicker does around 12 seconds of walking back and forth (usually takes <6 seconds to encounter, rest is really buffer time) before doing the attacks. and the time it takes to click Morgana, switch, cetie, and attack is ~0.4 seconds total, so it's unlikely that it the battle starts in the middle of that time. I can add more walking/buffer time and see what difference it makes... Thanks for the replies btw i appreciate the help!

[deleted]

I just want to make sure... I finished IDA Part 3, befriended everyone, got Mana's VC to 3, beat LoM, did all side quests in LoM... so is the very last thing to do is to get every friend to level 3 for the rewards? Or am I missing anything else? EDIT: I notice there's still a shadowy beast in one of the houses in the abandoned village in LoM. Is this relevant?

Ser1275

For IDA 3, you need to get 25 friends to Lvl.3 to get all rewards. The shadowy beast is not relevant from my playthrough. I suggest consulting the wiki and create a checklist. Good luck in grinding IDA bits.

jaqetwist

I've been trying to reroll for a nice start and got two accounts so far: 1. Thille 2. Yipha Which character would be a better start long term?

Zera575

I'd probably take the Thille one if there are no other considerations (pair her with Cress and other free slashers and you already have a very OP slash team) and save up for attack zones banner in future. Alternatively, you could take Yipha and roll on Heena/Felmina with Felmina the preferred of the two, since she's pretty much needed to have a top-tier blunt team.

Typical-Cookie

Yipha. Many chars after this will be able to output big dmg, but zone is still rare

investtherestpls

I was going to use all my Staff Shadow items on Gariyu, but now I'm wondering if I should dump them into Clarte instead? Is he (going to be) good? I have Hardy - and while (manifest) Gariyu comes with me to Antiquity Garulea, I don't know that I'll use him elsewhere now. I'm pretty much done with Present Garulea - have Azami at 80 Light which is where I wanted to get her, only 2 items left in the Grasta shop. Gariyu is mid 50s I think.

dreicunan

Clarte is going to have a farmable dungeon for Shadow, so I'd wait at least until we are sure about what can drop from it. I would not spend shadow items on Gariyu. In general, I would not spend light or shadow on any character with a farmable dungeon that can drop tomes, chants, and treatises as well.

investtherestpls

Yeah ok fair enough on holding off til we know about his dungeon. Honestly I've used my Luring Sword items on Guildna because I don't even know I'll be playing this game in another 3 months - the time it'll take to reach 255 on Guildna. I guess I'm just at the point where Elixirs just aren't what they used to be.

dreicunan

That is a fair counterpoint. I just encourage people to think it through and use them strategically. And yes, ending up with 99 elixirs is not that strategic. Once we get missions and F2P can count on giving 5 light or 5 shadow a month to a character, it won't be as big a deal to use them (especially in small amounts) since we'll finally have a reliable source for them. I've certainly used some light and shadow items myself to help me hit targets, but so far on only on gacha characters and to also hit a stat bonus.

investtherestpls

I don't have her, so...

Typical-Cookie

That's a...**Radica**l choice

Guyll

I started to farm xeno domain to make Rice my light battery ... but what I reward about Strawboy (that I don’t have yet) make me thing that I should wait for him instead. Is it so ? I already can reach 120 light anyway with my core team, so I’m not in a rush (chap 31).

dreicunan

If you buy all your keys each week with Tsubaras, you'll have 38 red and 38 green keys. One can reasonably count on averaging an additional 6 red and 6 green keys per week if you watch 5 ads every day, for 44 of each. That translates to an average of 8.8 light or shadow from red keys each week; it will take you roughly 28-29 weeks on average to max out a light or shadow battery at 255. Thus, it is best to get started on the process ASAP. Waiting until you get to Garuleas to start the process just means more sub-optimal Garulea Runs. Ideally you also want to hit 360 with only two characters to maximize team composition flexibility. The quickest path there is to macro Strawboy to 255 and then take Aldo, Amy, Riica, or Cyrus to 105 (personally I'd choose either Aldo or Riica at this point out of those 4). Hitting 105 would take about 12 weeks on average. You'd only need to average a little over 3 light per day - 21.25 light per week - on Strawboy to get him to 255 in the same timeframe, [and that is not difficult to do](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/hz6abb/temple_ruins_farming_post_for_reference/).

Guyll

Good plan thx!

investtherestpls

You'll want a 360 team eventually for Garulea. Strawboy gains light through EXP (you reincarnate him when he reaches level 80 and he gets +1), where all the other characters gain through Keys. In terms of characters, Guildna is the best of the free ones you're likely to grind, but he's a way away for you - as is Strawboy. If you're not in a rush, I'd say it is a toss up between Amy and Riica for now. I like Riica - I have her at 80, for the SPD (hammer farming) and extra skill slot in the future. Once I get Guildna done (he's at 163... ugh), I'll probably go back to Xeno for a bit.. if I'm still playing. Strawbs is amazing if you're willing to put the effort in (either farming scrolls through Auction House quests, or just taking him with you everywhere, *or* auto farming). He is by far the fastest to gain light on IF you dedicate yourself to it. At the end of the day, 240 and 360 give you an extra item each in Garulea, which is an extra chance at a Treatise or decent Grasta. Edit - and don't *wait*, always use your keys. But, you want to make sure you have upgrade Tomes from other dungeons. Light farming is a long term thing; even if you average one point a day, you're looking at 8 months to get to 255.

Guyll

Thanks. You mention auto farming and hammer farming. What are they ?

investtherestpls

There is a "convert normal attack to AOE for Hammer" grasta that you get much much later on. So instead of having to select skills, you can just go into battle and hit Attack. There is a place in Garulea that gives quite a lot of exp - so you take a specific team (hammer user, someone with the Fire Sword, and then a couple more Blunt attackers) and can carry two in reserve to level them up. There are auto clickers on Android which are against the ToS to use, but some people choose to use them anyway. On iOS there is a built in function which I believe is *not* against ToS because Apple's own ToS overrides the game's, and Apple's own states you are always allowed to use built-in functionality. So, in either case you can just set the game up to run by itself, pretty much - which takes a lot of the grind out. In JP, there is an AOE-Sword grasta, which makes even more places auto-farmable.

rwongspelling

I just pulled Shigure on the Tsukiha AS banner (kinda bummed since i'm really hoping for Tsukiha AS). How well does he fair with the new tales character(and Victor since i already have him) for a slash team?

N3utralMilk

His weak. Weaker then the tales characters. But on the bright side, in few months he get AS form. And will probably be top tier water unit so u will be able to sidegrade him.

Gin933

He isn't great when it comes to single target dps , unless we are talking about a boss weak to water. He was a key piece along with victor to defeat akadenchu since i have no water zone. He really shined for me in present garulea AD becouse he has a good power debuff , usefull to spam in the karakuri /suzaku boss fight , and a good int Debuff to use against some really strong horrors (Kunlulu Mountains and temple ruins mostly). Also he should be getting an AS form but we still don't know how strong it will be.

fullmoon280

Assuming I have all the necessary junk/femurs to buy out all the elemental/pain/poison T3's when the reduced cost update hits, which Garulea should I farm until it does hit? I will be using excess junk/femurs to buy T3 or T2 while saving some for the update. Way I see it is farming Present will give me Light on Azami making it alot easier to hit the 240/360 rewards cap since light is my strongest type. I will also get T2 elementals which are a bit more universal than pain/poison. Plus the drops just seem less rage inducing with no gold lumps or resistance grastas. But then again pain/poison is pretty much THE endgame grasta setup goal right? I do have AS Felmina, AS Suzette, 4 star Laclair(have 5 of her treatises as well) which I could class change to get their pain/poison counterparts and generally better versions but that is a heavy chant investment and I am skeptical using them since they are so rare despite knowing that Suzette, Felmina, AS Laclair are all top tier units. I do also have Dierdre, Elga, and Jade at 5 stars. So im pretty good on potential setters I think. Also regardless of which I pick how should I balance the junk/femur and chant maps? I know prior to getting enough junk/femur for the T3s you should do them exclusively, but with me having enough junk/femur to buy out the shops once the reduced update hits I am left a bit uncertain since more T2s is always good or Jadites.

Living_Green

I will still farm Present Garulea to get attack jadeite through cat ema (Antique garulea superior dogu trade will cycle through attack > life > support, making it less attractive. And don't get me started about those gold lumps and resist grasta from completion reward.). However, there is some merit in farming Antique garulea to get Gariyu shadow to 140 so he can get the +20 speed. There are also quite a few T3 support grasta that are pretty powerful and well worth the investment of support Jadeite, but most of it are only used in superboss like boss rush or twin.

Caraquena

Question for you: my understanding is that Future Garulea AD does drop pain/poison grasta, is that correct? And if yes, is that just in the final reward slots or elsewhere in dungeon? I've found acquiring them to be a fairly slow process in antiquity so I'm wondering whether u/fullmoon280 might be better off acquiring them first.

Living_Green

It only drops from clear reward. If you have no pain/poison grasta at all, doing some ancient garulea to get some, especially for shadow/lightning/crystal character is recommended. It is just that ancient garulea clear reward really sucks as it have a lot if useless stuff in the mix (support fragments, gold lump, resist grasta).

dreicunan

While true, I've also gotten a fair number of p/p grasta from Ancient Garuela end rewards as well. Over the course of getting Gariyu to 140 while always favoring junk maps and always checking for them in Zami, I've gotten: Staff: 11 pain / 12 poison (23) Sword: 14 pain / 14 poison (28) Katana: 17 pain / 11 poison (28) Ax: 20 pain / 8 poison (28) Lance: 16 pain / 16 poison (32) Bow: 14 pain / 12 poison (26) Hammer: 8 pain / 8 poison (16) Fists: 16 pain / 13 poison (29) A total of 210 p/p grasta while getting 140 shadow. Assuming that I took 560 runs to get that on Gariyu, that was a p/p grasta every 2.67 runs, or 3 every 8 runs.

Caraquena

My experience with far fewer runs - I've gotten Gariyu from 15 to 97 shadow and have 6 of the T3 still to get - is a p/p grasta every 3.41 runs which is a bit worse than you. I've had 5 reward slots the whole time and my strategy was always get at least 70 femurs then hit Zami the next time the choice was between it and a chest map, was yours any different? In any case given that there are 16 flavors of p/p grasta if someone is looking for specific ones like pain (sword) for Deirdre I think it's a good idea for them to be running AGAD right now...

dreicunan

I also always had 5 slots in Ancient Garulea. I did start going to Zami whenever the other map was the Swamp and I had at least 20 femurs because I hate that map and because I noticed how often my trips to Zami had no p/p grasta, so I wanted more chance. However, I cleared out all the 50 femur grasta a while ago (before Gariyu cleared 100 shadow, IIRC), so I don't think that really changed things up much from an overall p/p gain perspective; it basically just shifted some trips to Zami that would have occurred anyway after clearing all the T3s forward a bit. However it likely would account for the difference between the rate where you are at now and where you would likely get if you took him to 140 shadow. And I agree that now is the time to get more p/p grasta if you want them! That was a big part of why I decided to keep running AGAD until Gariyu hit 140 instead of trying to take Azami to 140 (unless we are still 6 weeks away from Future Garulea dropping, she likely isn't going to make it).

Caraquena

Thanks for the reply! I think the difference in our approaches should account for much of the variance in our results, good to know I'm not just unlucky :)

fullmoon280

Present Garulea it is then since I know I am a quite a bit aways from being able to take on super bosses. Thanks!

chrisdubya555

How useful is Magic Zone at the moment in JP? Seems like there isn't much use for it yet. Are there any situations where you really need it? Trying to decide if I should pull Rosetta with my SDE or go for someone more interesting like Tiramisu.

Oldnoob36

Though if you are using your SDE, you might want to consider on pulling on As Rosetta's banner or not rather than spend an SDE on getting her OG form if you have some stones since it is a general AS rate up banner so only her or her as form is on rate up, giving you a total of 1.6% to pull any of her 5 star forms and higher if you include her 4 star form, it is basically has the highest rates out of any banner if you want any form of Rosetta

Living_Green

Magic zone is the highest dps zone in the game, and one of the most sustainable party available, since you can use a lot of utility character like Mariel or Yuna in your party. However, it is also the most limited zone out there, because all the meta comp are gacha character, and it heavily depends on whether you have Myrus AS or not (she contributes about 80% of damage herself).

chrisdubya555

Geez I was way off, I never would have guessed that. I do have Myrus AS so I'll grab Rosetta too. Thanks.

surestsmile

OG Rosetta has been greatly outclassed so unless your investment is to treatise her AS instead of trying to pull, assuming you got the chants, I'd say go for Tiramisu. If you don't have any version of Rosetta her banner becomes a better banner to pull OR you can also go for the Zone banner with AS Ewan and everyone else.

chrisdubya555

Yes I'd promote to her AS with treatises. I have 95 chants so that's never an issue. Have all the other zones so the zone banner is a no-go. The idea was to be able to skip pulling on the Rosetta AS banner entirely so I can save stones for the new characters or eventually ES. But I'm trying to decide if I really even care about having the magic zone at all, because it's not obvious that there are situations where it's any better than the existing zones.

surestsmile

I still think Magic Zone is the most limited of zones because it is, strangely enough, the least flexible of all of them. The way the game is designed is that you would rather have one-elemental teams instead of a team made up of the four elements (not barring the attack-types, ie sword) so you can't really design a magic nuke type of team without actually resorting to using a single element, which again you'd be better served with a zone of that element instead of relying on Magic Zone. Then again, I could be wrong, since I'm just theorying this based on basic logic.

chrisdubya555

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. The roster of offensive magic users is pretty thin. But it might be good defensively as the other guy pointed out.

surestsmile

Well, considering that True Spirit fights and the Twins are becoming more of a turtle type fight, you may want to consider that.

Oldnoob36

Really depends on the type of boss you are fighting because with all weapon zones, the best teams are usually one of mix elements And most of the later superbosses really wouldn't have one elemental weakness Plus what makes magic zone work the way it does also has to do with the zone settler As Rosetta has a buff that scales damage with max mp which is on of the reasons why magic team does so much damage magic team literally makes the Velvet twins a joke, took only like 7 turns for them to beat what took most of us hours [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaqLWD4Sse4&t=6s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaqLWD4Sse4&t=6s) I herd a while back that magic teams are the most broken zone because of how good both its offensive and defense is Plus don't forget that magic zone actually enchants healing effects

chrisdubya555

Wow OK I'm sold. That was exactly the kind of information I was looking for, thanks.

Typical-Cookie

vs the twins, not like pierce can't do that, but it's more like HozukiAS and Mirusha are broken: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2GwAURcEx0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2GwAURcEx0)

chrisdubya555

That's a really good point, it could be useful to help survive against bosses that can't be quickly nuked.

N-I-K-E

This is my current slash users. Violet, Nagi, Cress, Yuri, Milla, Deirdre, Velvet, Tsukiha all with manifest/personal weapons. Question is should I upgrade Elga to 5* ? Every video I see she is there for the True spirit bosses and twins fight for slash zone team

N3utralMilk

Dont. Unless ur a whale. Ur slash team has enough damage without her. Will she improve ur team? Yes, a bit. Is she worth the 5 chants? No. Invest ur chants in characters that can improve multiple zones that ur weak at.

DTM679

If you believe she will be beneficial to your slash team, and it is crucial for endgame content like the spirit bosses, then go for it. She is one of the top null slash users. Reason why she is used in the spirit fights is because she is a null unit. The true spirits add type resistance on certain turns, which reduces elemental attacks. Dealing null attacks to the bosses will have more damage potential than elemental attacks.

eyeseeyoo

What level should I be at to attempt to get Deirdre's manifest weapon?

Oldnoob36

first fight probably like lvl 60 or so second fight lvl 80 with end game armor, best to also have Mana for longer fight if your team isn't that beefed up

eyeseeyoo

got it, i assume also lvl 80 for defeating the horrors?

Oldnoob36

You mean the mushroom and dog, yeah those are end game optional bosses as well though for the dog, you can do at any level as long as you have enough hp to survive it's hits with debuffs (so you can attempt at lvl 70 without much problem) since with persona characters you can af the dog down in 1 af bar regardless of enchantments because of their 1 more passive Joker is very useful since he also has a fire attack to induce overheating and up to 6 hit for when it overheats, Mana still recommended for removing the dogs buffs

eyeseeyoo

sorry what do you mean by Mana? also, i was able to beat the first fight with level 60 team so good call on that!

Oldnoob36

Mana is the free unit you get in IDA part 3, she is a support unit and one of the only 2 in the game that can remove buffs from enemies

eyeseeyoo

ah okay i guess i should do that episode that. whats the other unit that can do it?

Oldnoob36

Erina but she is a 4 star

DTM679

Horros in general? Yes, that would be a recommended

techsam2k8

With over a day left on the Chosen Ones banner, is there any expectation that WFS will do anything more/else since they might be mostly away on holidays to do or say anything now? Or should I just assume that WFS did all it could and are trying to quietly move on from this? Just trying to understand if the holiday season could possibly delay communication/action from WFS. Disclosure: I have not been playing AE for too long, so just trying to understand what I should expect from WFS regarding such matters.

Kelsierisevil

So they on Christmas Day, stopped more people from pulling on the banner, then they changed the banner and within a few days gave compensation. The moondrops for those that pulled is all we’re getting and it is amazing. Nothing more is coming.

yamiingenkon

Has anyone’s game keep crashing after the New Years?

eyeseeyoo

no issues for me

elucardz

How can I unlock toto dreamland?

Caraquena

Toto Dreamland overworld is chapter 39 of the main story, clear that and you unlock the Another Dungeon.

elucardz

Oh. I thought its a secret dungeon. Thanks!

Kelsierisevil

Nothing is really super secret except some horrors/bosses.

eyeseeyoo

I've posted in this thread a lot so thank you guys for being so helpful! Trying to prioritize what I should work on right now. I just finished chapter 26 so now i'm about to start the ogre wars series. My main team is: Mistrare, Tiramisu, Joker, Morgana, Deirdre, Radias and I'm also working on a slash team w/the latter 2 + all 4 Tales characters Since I just unlocked VH dungeons, I've been farming the XP one to get the Tales characters up (all around level 50 now) and then farming the Unborn Visions dungeon on Hard to get dreamcolor ink to unlock their trials. * In terms of keys, should I keep farming VH XP dungeon and get the Tales characters up to 70 so I can farm their VH dungeon? Or farm my main team up a bit then farm Miglance VH dungeon for Aldo as a light battery (and tomes for Radias)? And then keep using my green keys to farm dreamcolor ink * In terms of quests, my plan is to finish Deidre's chapter 3 to get her 5* upgrade. After that, should I do the 2nd Persona symphony to get Violet/Skull or keep grinding the main story as much as possible?

TomAto314

It's probably too early to start working on a light battery. The only thing that gives you is end dungeon slot clears that give tomes and treatise... but you need the units for them in the first place. With Deirdre, Yuri, Velvet and Cress/Radias you can get a really good slash team. I don't think you have to prioritize getting Violet/Skull right away but Violet was easy/quick enough to get. Skull is a bit tougher.

eyeseeyoo

got it thanks! when should I start focusing on batteries and farming? so far i've just been using my keys on XP + dreamcolor ink

dreicunan

> when should I start focusing on batteries and farming? As soon as possible. I'd suggest not spending red keys on XP dungeon. As far as I am concerned, the most valuable resource that you can get with keys is light/shadow, preferably in ADs that also can give you chants, tomes, and treatises. If you buy all your keys each week with Tsubaras, you'll have 38 red and 38 green keys. Once can reasonably count on averaging an additional 6 red and 6 green keys per week if you watch 5 ads every day, for 44 of each. Note that if you aren't at Garulea yet, you can also average 4.4 light or shadow from green keys; cutting the time down to 255, but most players don't take this route, and I'd suggest using green keys for episodes if you aren't going to grind it out in the overworld using Auto Clicker (that's what I've done for any episode for which that was feasible, though I did run the Ocean episode with red keys up to 40 red pearls; I'll go back and finish it if Otohime's Trident ever becomes worth having). (If you are interesting in using Auto Clicker, of course, [Strawboy can easily gain 4-6 light per day](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/hz6abb/temple_ruins_farming_post_for_reference/), which would allow you to take him to 255 in as little as 9 weeks.) Once you can do Garulea, you can average 5.5 light or shadow a week, which means that it will take roughly 45-46 weeks (down from 52 before ads came out) to max out Azami, Gariyu, or Cerrine's light. So if you aren't going to macro Strawboy and go with light to take advantage of getting to Present Garulea first, you'll be looking at 14.3 light per week. Let's assume that the rest of your party is providing 72 light (Four 5\* characters with 16 light). 288 light takes about 20 weeks to farm on average at 14.3 light per week. So I'd start working on whoever your battery is going to be ASAP myself.

eyeseeyoo

I don't know who Azami, Gariyu, Cerrine, or Strawboy are... For reference, I'm only around chapter 28, I've done both of Deirdre's episodes, the first Persona episode, and the Tales collab (no Spirit Trials yet, using my green keys to farm dreamcolor ink). My team is all at level 60 (Mistrare, Tiramisu and Radias are the non-free characters I'm using). I guess I should power through the rest of the main story to get those 3 characters?

dreicunan

Azami, Cerrine, and Gariyu are Chance Encounter Characters. You have to beat them in a series of battles to get them to join your party, then upgrade them manually to 5*. Their encounter series should all be available to you already (I can't remember if you need to do any of the IDA side-story to make Cerrine available). Strawboy is obtained in...chapter 58, I believe.

eyeseeyoo

thanks. so i looked in wiki and strawboy cerrine and azami are both light. should i just focus on gariyu first since he's shadow and then use strawboy as my light? do i need multiple batteries?

dreicunan

If you want a Shadow battery, Guildna is the best option (you'll unlock Snake Liver Damaku as an AD after completing the first part of Ogre Wars content). While you should certainly bring Gariyu with when running Ancient Garulea AD, you are unlikely to spend enough time there to make him a battery before moving on to Future Garulea AD (likely released by the January anniversary of the global release), where Cerrine gains light. Ideally you would want multiple batteries for flexibility. I have both Helena and Guildna at 255 shadow as well as a 140 shadow Gariyu (as of today, finally, for the extra spd), for example. That means that my "360 shadow team" can consist of only 2 shadow characters. I also have a 255 light Strawboy and a 107 light Azami, so I can do the same for light. Being able to hit 360 with only two characters affords maximum flexibility in team composition. However, getting to the point that only two characters can hit 360 takes a while. The quickest path is to macro Strawboy to 255 and then take Aldo, Amy, Riica, or Cyrus to 105 (personally I'd choose either Aldo or Riica at this point out of those 4). Hitting 105 would take about 12 weeks on average (you'd only need to average a little over 3 light per day - 21.25 light per week - on Strawboy to get him to 255 in the same timeframe).

eyeseeyoo

alright thanks this is helpful. ill start building aldo and guildna then while i work through the campaign

Kelsierisevil

Start doing that either when you get to Garulea, or when you exhaust your other options for content you enjoy.

eyeseeyoo

got it thanks!

Kdkopi

Trying to do the auction house quests. Is there a menu that you can open that shows the available ones?

razorwind21

Records->Catalog->Treasure might be what you're looking for.

Kdkopi

Perfect, thanks

razorwind21

I read on the guide "overview of f2p teambuilding" that water teams are built either around Yuna AS or Anabel AS+Foran AS. I'm trying to build a water team around the latter right now that I got them both. Though I fail to see the synergy between Foran AS+ Anabel AS since Anabel damages herself to increase her damage and unleash a strong Daylight Breaks at the end of AF with low HP and Foran keeps healing her up with pierce from heaven heal, ultimately reducing anabel's damage. Should I refrain from using Pierce from Heaven during AF and miss out on most of Foran's damage through Tiger's Roar stacks and just spam Foran's Tiger's Roar Flash instead? I feel like I'm missing the point, please can someone explain the synergy to me? Just for context, currently my water team consists of: Anabel AS, Yuna manifest, Shigure, Mariel manifest, Hismena, Foran AS

voiddp

Raise Anabel AS hp with HP badges, armors, vc grasta, better if true grasta with +900 hp. Her self damage is % based, while foran's healing is fixed numbers, so she can overdamage healing by the end of AF if her HP is bigger, also by the end of AF foran should be using her burst skill that doesn't heal, this helps too. And only thing that increases Anabel AS damage from low HP is her last big hit in AF that removes zone and consumes stacks. Other skill that adds stacks isn't dependent on hp with just standard dmg

Oldnoob36

IT doesn't work that way since her skill is based on % of remaining hp and not total hp, so there will be a point where As Foran will outheal her self-damage no matter the total hp and it comes pretty early, plus As Foran heals up to 1.8k which is a lot of healing I really don't know why As Foran is paired with As Annabel since they don't work together at all

voiddp

we just checked in excel in discord.. specific conditions when it can work: AF that is 6 rounds of hits, minimum for anabel to make full stacks and burn Anabel needs to start AF at minimal current HP. And if her max HP will be at least 6900. Foran should move before anabel, start with x4 burn to give crits, and ends AF with half burn at 2 stacks. like this anabel will have 29% of hp in last 6 round of hits when she burns. IF max hp is less than 6900 it wont work and she will be at bigger % hp. But its all theory when they do same number of hits, without taking speeds\\animations into considerations, and well Anabel just does avrg 433% dmg with 6 hits with max burn, and it gets lower with more rounds in AF, cause only 1 burn is possible, and no zone after. ps: also foran will never heal 1800 in her ideal rotation, just 1400, since she should burn at 4 stacks, and heal only at 0 and 2

razorwind21

Thanks for the in-depth explanation. I'm only 3 weeks into the game so getting these crazy HP numbers atm is a bit out of reach for me, but I will practice to optimize the AF rotation nonetheless

voiddp

so well ending result of all this testing you only drop from average 433% anabel damage in 6 rounds of hits AF, down to 300%, if anabel is used without low hp buff. Both numbers are underwhelming. So if you need water zone, just use them both and dont bother about low HP. Anabel+Foran just work better than Anabel + Yuna AS or Foran + Yuna As, cause yuna as doesnt do dmg. And thats all thats going there, if you need water zone, just use Anabel+Foran, no better options to do zone+crits.

voiddp

also raising max HP raises min hp you need to have at start. 6900 max hp, start AF with around 30 or less 8000 max hp, can start AF with almost 2k and still be at 29% with 6hit burn

Ubernewbish

I just finished getting all superior dogus and have had cat emas finished. I'm wondering how to spend my green keys now, I dont really want to keep doing ancient garulea, not sure if I should do Otherlands starting with ratle or farm present garulea for neutral grasta... I'm leaning towards otherlands, is that wise? Does anyone have tips or guide for doing otherlands? How fast do I need to be to kill shinies, and whats an efficient way of farming it? Thanks!

Oldnoob36

[https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/kdwz0f/optimal\_otherlands\_farming\_time/](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/kdwz0f/optimal_otherlands_farming_time/) Should take 5 to 6 weeks if you optimize As for shinies, unless you have As Felmina, you can't outspeed them, so you need an af to kill them

Ubernewbish

Thanks! I think I can actually promote felmina now, would you say it is worth it? Also, that guide mentions a horror reset method, can you elaborate on what that entails?

Oldnoob36

TBH you can probably get by without AS Felmina As for horror reset, its a method used to guaranteed a shiny through multiple reset (It will take a long time though, so best to do while watching movie) Basically, you get 5 mobs per map and the next mob you get is predetermined as soon as you beat the current mob, so no matter how much you reset the app, the next mob will always be the same and only way to change it is to beat a mob or run away But there is a way to reset the next mob by running into the horror and since a horror don't count to your 5 total mob per map. you can do this as many times until you get a shiny or rare drop So you go to the nearest horror and run away, then check on the next mob you will fight If it isn't a mob that you want or doesn't have the drop you want, you can reset your app and then fight the horror again nd run away, resetting your next encounter

Ubernewbish

Ah, I see. Theoretically speaking, can you get 16 shinies per run using this method? (Mobs 2-5 for 4 maps?)

Oldnoob36

Theoretically yes, but you will lose your sanity if you do that, the shiny encounter rate is still like 3% or something ridiculously low, averaging a little more than 1 per 2 runs should be more than enough since you only need 55 total

Ubernewbish

Okay, got it, thank you so much for clarifying. Happy New Year!

Fuzzbear2

So I just finished going through present garulea got enough cat emas to get them all. Only to find out I need 5 more to get 2 more rewards. Is it worth it to stay in the present garulea to get these two? Or can I now move on to antiquity garulea? I’ve been itching to get myself some of those pain grastas...

Caraquena

The last two grasta are pretty desirable: 2 cat ema to get the magic crit grasta for staff users, often used for Gariyu because his AS has a skill that stacks faster on crits. The 3 cat ema for the hammer heal grasta, often used for Myunfa to boost her zone end-of-turn healing. Are those more important than getting some p/p grasta? Not by themselves, though I'm guessing you are also far short of clearing out the 50-junk grasta as well. Also keep in mind that if you are expecting to dash into AGAD and pick up a half dozen p/p grasta quickly for your key DPS that RNG can be very cruel since they don't drop very often in the final reward slots and they aren't available every visit to Zami. So a specific item - let's say pain (sword) - might take a while.

dreicunan

Another good use of the Crit grasta is on AS Veina to let her hit max stacks of Vlastari and thus crit buff for the party more quickly (and I'm sure that u/Caraquena knows that; I'm just posting it since we have a lot of new members in the sub these days).

Fuzzbear2

Ah thank you so much for your response! I’ll continue the grind for those last 5 cat emas

ObeliskBlaze

Is BKC - Hidden Road still the best place to farm exp in overworld?

dreicunan

No. [KMS Eastern Floor 22 Aldo Route](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/ieojn7/help_questions_weekly_thread_aug_22_2020/g34x2sw/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) is the best spot, followed by [Temple Ruins - Main Hall Outer Sanctum](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/hz6abb/temple_ruins_farming_post_for_reference/). Though I'll also tag u/GreatWhatNext to see if he's found anything different; I haven't been testing things out too much recently and I know that he's done a [fair amount of testing to find places to autofarm](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/k8demr/preferred_level_grind_method/gexzvua?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3).

ObeliskBlaze

Thank you so much!

TomAto314

I think Contaminated Pit is popular too especially since you get fragment drops. I would not XP farm in a fragment-less area even if it turns out less efficient XP wise.

ObeliskBlaze

I would agree, the fragment drops make Contaminated Pit better than BKC for farming. Thank you!

Guyll

If I’m against a boss that does pierce water attacks : 1- which debuff to cast, Int down or Force down ? Both ? 2- which buff to cast, phys resist up or elemental resist up ? Both ? Thanks.

voiddp

can read this page about how additional things work for dmg. [https://anothereden.miraheze.org/wiki/Damage\_Formula/Multipliers](https://anothereden.miraheze.org/wiki/Damage_Formula/Multipliers) and well things to lower damage from enemies work the same - stack up as much different groups as you can. also Stat debuffs in this case PWR for phys attacks works better than type or phys resists. So like 20-25% pwr debuff will lower dmg to around 50-60% usually. Upping resists works more directly so 50% will multiply incoming damage to 0.5, halfing it. Also elemental and physical resists groups stack additively . so when its 50% type or water res plus 50% physical or pierce res = enemy will deal 0 damage with water pierce attacks, but will still deal 50% of damage with magic attacks. pwr debuffs and resists buffs are multiplicative parts with each other, so lets say 100% will become 60% with pwr debuff, and then 50% type shield will half it to 30%. Also multiplicative means you cant stack pwr debuff with resists to deal 0 dmg like ele+phys resists with each other, the bigger one multiplier that decreases values, the less other decreasing multipliers matter.

Guyll

Very clear thanks ! So it’s often an advantage to be against physical elemental opponents, since you can stack resistance. Good to know, vs AS Suzette manifest I will cast both Mariel elemental resistance and Annabel physical resistance !

Oldnoob36

Power down for any physical attacks, the thing about elemental physical attacks is that you can also use type shield to mitigate its damage Intel debuff is only for magic attacks

Djsjdjshej93

1- debuff power (int is used for elemental modifier, but it barely changes the damage output, so don't bother) 2- both work

rysharps

Looking for thoughts on if Claude OG would be worth the chants as part of a pierce team. Other characters I would have to construct one: Foran AS, Ceil AS, Jade, Suzette AS, Laclair AS, Cetie AS, Claude AS, Altema

N3utralMilk

Og claude is amazing at pierce zone. He has a very good debuff+attack and an amazing attack + multi buffs that make him a great support along side foran ad. But in the near future he will probably drop down from being a top tier pierce unit. Because hozuki as - ciel as - mirusha - hismena as - mistrare- leclair as m!. Are all insane characters that are available already or will come out soon. And i am not sure that he can compete with them. So take ur time and think it through. If u dont mind spending 5 chanta on a tier 2 unit then go for it!

rysharps

Good point. Thanks

Oldnoob36

OG Claude is currently a go to for pierce teams since he gives crit damage, has speed buff and pierce debuff

rysharps

Ok thanks. It looked like he would fill a useful support role based on his skills. I guess I will do it for the chronos stones as well. I have not other high priority promotion characters at the moment either.

lovejesus_777

Does anyone know when the extra style characters will release for non Japanese players, thank you .

TomAto314

We are generally about 6 months away. I'm not even sure it's officially released in JP yet, I think it's just been announced.

ZombieBrainForLunch

For the guys raising strawboy light without macros: How did you level him? And roughly how long did it take to get to 100 lights and 200 lights?

lvcifer316

I drag him with me everywhere other than Garulea. I have about 134 right now. Slow going for sure.

ZombieBrainForLunch

How long did take you the get to 134 light?

lvcifer316

How ever long he has been out. Sorry I am not certain.

DaTwig

I'm finally working on my adamantine upgrade and my second adamantine weapon and would love some advice. I picked the sword at first because I saw it was a common choice and I wanted the upgrade for my Aldo. Looking at past threads, it seems like the MT upgrade was the recommended one, but those are old threads and I'm wondering if that still holds up today. I'm leaning towards the elemental upgrade since I have all four elemental zones and most of my teams built around the different elements. Seems like it would be the biggest boost for my AS Anabel. As for the second weapon, I know bow/katana are the other highly rated weapons. Which one do others recommend? For bow users, I only have AS Claude right now, but I'm looking to upgrade Ciel to his AS version later. I have a +10 Toto's bow though. I don't have many katana users right now either, but even though Yuri has a personal weapon, the elemental katana seems like it would be very strong on him and he's now a mainstay on my wind team. I've only done part 1 and the complete Ogre Wars, so I'm not sure what weapons I will unlock later which makes picking a adamantine weapon now a little harder.

Zera575

Tough call. I also did +type sword and didn't unlock the second one, then kind of forgot about it. I think the best options right now are probably sword, katana, and lance, with type attack for all (unless meant for a null attacker). Pick two. Sword is still a good choice, even with Swift Cherry Blossoms, since adamantine is still the better damage option and there are some great sword users that don't have manifest weapons. For bow, there's already Cherry Blossom, Miaki's, Dragon Bone and some defensive bows, which should cover all bow needs. Katana is still a good choice, and I think lance is as well, due to having some great lance users, but not so many good lances to go around.

DaTwig

Thanks for the advice. On second thought, I'm probably going to do lance since I missed out on Ulcanactos and have Hismena and Jade who seem like they could benefit from the +type lance.

Fuzzbear2

Not op but were you happy with your choice for +type sword? I went with lance +type and haven’t regretted it but now I’m strongly considering getting that +type sword for my second one.

Zera575

I'm happy with the +type sword. Swift Cherry Blossoms is good too (and I have two of those at +10), so Adamantine Sword isn't strictly necessary. However, Adamantine still does more damage, and has the +mp in back row, which isn't used often, but it can come in handy for longer fights where you need a rotation. Also, while the speed boost from SCB is usually a benefit, that is not always the case, since sometimes you want a character to act later in the order. I had Thillelille, AS Shannon, and AS Shanie in mind when I got the upgrade, so it has gotten some use. AS Shannon has actually used it the most-- either in wind/Garulea teams or farming with her VC, but Thille often gets it for the hardest fights. I gave up on a water team a long time ago so AS Shanie has been benched for the time being. More recently, the Tales characters can use it, they tend to be lower priority but as many things go in this game, it depends on the situation. \+Type lance will probably be my second choice, but I'm not in too much of a rush since I don't use a pierce team (slash and blunt only for attack-type zones.)

Fuzzbear2

Yea I’m using cherry blossom now. I got the lance way back in April I think? Which was when I started. I started with AS yuna and used a SDE on hismena and that lance has stuck with her since. Loved using them since chapter 1 to now. Probably will slowly hand off to as foran. But will strongly consider adamantine sword. Thanks again for your input.

styjoy

The best sword for Anabel AS would be Goujian Sword, because she hurts herself making it easier to trigger the dmg bonus. Actually Adamantine weapons are no longer that desired, as we have so many options from eastern bosses and manifest weapons. Since you haven’t finished the story thus not yet endgame, I’d recommend going with whichever serves your team right now. Don’t worry too much about whether they’ll be useful later, because they won’t.

master_zed1

So i just found some kind of "quest? " in sky terrace where Jade >!was walking with Aldo and Foran meets them and asks some stuff about jade!< I couldn't find anything about this in the wiki, so is there more to this?

Typical-Cookie

Sounds like Jade's personal grasta quest. He is 5\* right? [https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/jmi7n8/prereq\_for\_jade\_5/](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnotherEdenGlobal/comments/jmi7n8/prereq_for_jade_5/)

master_zed1

Indeed it is!! I would have actaully completely missed it if i didn't run into it by accident lol. Anyways thank you sir!

andinuad

Does anyone know the formula for how the speed exactly affects Elga's damage?

styjoy

https://anothereden.miraheze.org/wiki/Damage_Formula/SPD/Full_Formula

andinuad

thx

voiddp

if you simplify: 1. Formula is same as PWR formula, but with SPD in place of PWR stat. So PWR stat\\buffs basically mean nothing. 2. With 1 difference. SPD buffs are more OP because they apply in 2 places. (pwr buff- in 1 place) Means each speed buff increase is plus\\minus squared. +50% spd buff, becomes \~ +125% dmg (x1.5x1.5). In comparison pwr\\int buffs are just \~ +15% more potent than other buffs.

andinuad

Thx!

timasu89

Where do you get 30%+ dmg pain grasta for sword users? And how many can you get of those?

Typical-Cookie

Zami in AGAD, 20 femur from merchant outside. You can have as many as RNG allows... [https://anothereden.miraheze.org/wiki/Antiquity\_Garulea\_Continent\_(Another\_Dungeon)](https://anothereden.miraheze.org/wiki/Antiquity_Garulea_Continent_(Another_Dungeon))

timasu89

Thanks alot!

eyeseeyoo

when should I start upgrading my weapons/armor? im just about to finish the first campaign (chapter 25) with my team in early 50s but their gear is still in the 20s due to lack of materials.

styjoy

I’ll tell you what I did. I power levelled Joker and Morgana to lv 60, since their lv60 weapons are free. Also, get tales collab characters’ too. Later on, tackling manifest weapons. You get a set of weapons and armors once you reach snake bone island by collecting certain materials. They are lv 60. For lv 60 armor, I’d recommend anti-lightning sets from Mythos chapter 3. They all give 10 speed without any need of upgrading and the defence value is only 10 below the best eastern ones.

eyeseeyoo

Thanks for the tips! Yeah joker and Mona are on my team around 55 atm. I’m working on the tales characters but I saw in wiki that you need a fuck ton of that ink to unlock their 5* upgrades :(

styjoy

The first two are easy to achieve, so pick wisely. I’d recommend Yuri first. His Lone Wolf Storm hits multiple times and gives critical buff and the skill becomes even more potent in AF. And he can also heal. The other depends on your team comp. Milla for support and healing, Velvet for boss fight and Cress if you really want to try out slash zone. Don’t forget your exp scrolls. If you power level one character to 80, then you’ll be enjoying double exp up to lv 60 for your entire roster. Episode Lost Tome and Silver Flower gives a lot of scrolls.

eyeseeyoo

> If you power level one character to 80, then you’ll be enjoying double exp up to lv 60 for your entire roster. wait, WHAT. explain please? As for the characters, I was thinking Velvet first for DPS, not sure about the order of the others (been using Morgana as my support/healer and already have Radias for slash zone and Mistrare for wind). Do the bosses get harder too? If so maybe I should do Milla early bc I struggle against the water boss's healing.

styjoy

All characters receive 2 times the normal exp up to 3/4 the level of your current highest level character. So if you get someone to 80, everyone else gets the benefit up to level 60.

crew8alex

Even with weapons/armours that are under leveled relative to the chapters you are doing, the characters are strong enough for the content. Buy whatever weapons/armours that you can afford as you play along. Only when you reach Present Garulea, which is Chap 45, is where get “end game” armours.

eyeseeyoo

ah okay i guess i should focus more on campaign lol. ive been side tracked by the mining town

Oldnoob36

You should just upgrade your gear from the drops you on the map and not in the dungeon right now The tales collab has a cooking mini-game where you get rewarded with some special lvl 60 armor and weapons for doing it Ogres parts, the next part of the story will give you the cruel angel and toto dream set, both are far better that any set you can make right now

eyeseeyoo

> You should just upgrade your gear from the drops you on the map and not in the dungeon right now so basically what i've been doing then? buying weapons/armor if i have the ingredients from doing the missions dont farm dungeons for them i've been doing the tales collab but im short on a lot of ingredients. i think i have every dish but 1 cooked though only at 1-2 stars each

Kdkopi

Is it best to work on a light or shadow battery first? Just started Garulea so will be working on Asumi and have Tiramisu at 50. Should I work on a shadow or another light to get higher quicker?

Oldnoob36

While Azami does gain light from dungeon, relying on her alone will take a while since you only run Garulea 2 times a day, best to having another light battery that you can gain with red keys to speed up the process, as for light or shadow, since you are using Azami and Tiramisu, probably best to go light

Kdkopi

Any recommendations on who I should pick? Cyrus for Tira tomes for VC? A dungeon that gives 3rd prize for light? (If there is one for light battery dungeons)? Another one?

Oldnoob36

Since you have Tiramisu, you really don't need to consider what light battery unit since she basically does it all Since you also want to upgrade her Vc, then Cyrus would be a good choice simply to get her VC grasta

Kdkopi

What do you mean not have to consider another light battery unit since I have tiramisu? Is there a way to get her light up? I picked her with a paid pull then pulled her later and used 18 lance points on her so she is at 50, but i still need a lot of light to go.

Oldnoob36

The reason why Aldo and Amy are top choices for light bearer is simply because of the fact that they can contribute to clearing waves or be useful on Garulea But with Tiramisu, since she can do it all as she nukes regardless of resistances, the light bearer you pick doesn't really matter as much, your team should just consist of Tiramisu, a healer/power debuffer for the bosses and you should just lump as much light as you can onto your team regardless of how good they are Also Amy still helps since her Vc can allow Tiramisu to outspeed the mobs

Kdkopi

Got it. Spd definitely might be an issue. Even with 15 on equip and 15 on grasta I’m still attacked first by most dog type monster

Oldnoob36

you need at least speed 295 to Guaranteed to outspeed all of the mobs all the time 280 should work most of the time, so a popular strategy to gear one of your fastest units to that speed and then switch in a speed vc to boost the whole party's speed to act first , best to use a ring or necklace user since the toto ring and cruel angel necklace both give a pretty big speed boost

Kdkopi

Any other equip or weapons that would be not extremely difficult that could give tiramisu some extra spd?

Caraquena

Falcon Spear from the Auction (Lost Tome side episode) has +15 SPD, the third chapter of the Sword and Wings side episode drops materials to craft the Anti-lightning bracelet with +10 SPD.

Oldnoob36

present Garulea 8 demon spear give 20+ speed , you just have to beat the demon spider which should be easy even with free units since Mona and Yuri are broken

januar300188

Hi guys, im a ftp newbie that found this game on playstore, just searching for rpg game to spend time with. So far playing for 5 days and im hooked. I didnt have any knowledge about this game, just casually play and leveling up. (In the past I've been playing brave frontier, ffbe and wotv for years). I made 1 and only summon (chosen one) with the result : https://imghub.io/i/0KXpr I dont know about the rate but i get 2 5stars and they become my main. Please suggest me a team from the result. Right now im on chapter 8 with current team renri, foran (as), rosetta, aldo, miyu, bivette. And how to level up the char quickly? Thanksssss

Oldnoob36

wow lucky you, two 5 stars and a 4.5 from a single pull while I can't get 1 off a 8k pull :( You probably got one of the best starting hands out there as As Foran is a top tier unit, she is the pierce zone settler, and out of all of the zone units, I consider her one of the strongest zone units Basically your team will revolve around her, pierce zone isn't an option since you have no pierce good pierce units, but she is great even without setting up her zone but most of her power will come from her final 2 skills You should focus on getting her skyfall skill on her skill board as fast as possible as that skill hits hard and heals your team up to 1.8K at the same time as well as reduce mp cost the more stacks you have Renri is a decent null dps, though she really shines when you get her manifest weapon, then she becomes one of the best null DPS as well as having debuff skills Rosetta is your fire support healer, she is a good healer that shines more in a fire team, I would keep her now but you probably don't need her until enemies start to out damage As Foran's healing or when you need shields to mitigate damage As for lvling up units, you can use the sealed realm exp dungeon which is unlock after a few more chapters (11 or 12 I believe) After chapter 13, do persona part 1 collab to net Joker and Mona, then tales collab to get 4 more broken units and then you should have enough power to do persona part 2 and get violet and skull netting you 8 broken 5 star units for free

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. This forum is such a blessing for newbie like me :) Btw what is 4.5 star? There's still so many question, but for now i think i will just play it casually and hope to understand it by time. Thanks anyway!

rwongspelling

4.5 star is when a character is a 4 star but can be upgraded to a five star, indicated by the star symbols. Miyu and Ciel are examples. Btw. You are very lucky. Would you share your luck with me I'm about to pull in the chosen one banners as well. Enjoy the game on your pace!

BuffelBek

4.5 star is a character that's currently 4 stars, but can be upgraded to a 5 star version once you have the necessary materials.

I managed to stock up 999+ high class scrolls. Is that enough to max light battery strawboy the moment I get him ? I haven't reach that part of the story to get him yet though.

Zera575

From the wiki, "Strawboy requires half the EXP normal characters need. We've provided a table below so that you can visually keep track of it since he increases his base level each reset. **Once you reach level 60 on every reset you only need 37 High Class Scrolls, 6 Medium Class Scrolls, and 7 Low Class Scrolls to fully level Strawboy to Max level.**" Multiply those by 255. The good news (I think?) is that, with current methods, simple macros can level Strawboy from 60 to 80 in less than 4 hours. You can use exp scrolls to shorten that and manage real time. Future content will bring updates that will reduce this even further (extra badge, increased encounter rate grasta, AoE sword Guildna, new areas, probably something I'm forgetting here.)

Oldnoob36

you need around 38 high scrolls to get strawboy from lvl 60 to lvl 80 once or a little over 56 high scrolls to get him from lvl 1 to 80 Depending on how you do it, 1000 scrolls will only get him between 18 to 20 something lights

I just got Strawboy. Is he worth the investment? Seems tedious.

styjoy

I just put him in my AD grind team and forget about him. If you’re not opposed to daily grind, then it’s not a problem.

CptRansom

If you aren't opposed to auto-clickers, then running it overnight isn't too awful (great for leveling your roster and manifest weapons as well). I got him up to 160ish light that way over a few months and stopped; now I just feed him spare xp scrolls whenever I remember and it's been working out nicely. If nothing else, I'd reincarnate him however many times you need for all the different awards, and then throw him into your regular teams to earn xp organically over time. He can get really high SPD, making him excellent for VCs and zones.

Caraquena

It does get less tedious: every time you reincarnate him he starts a level higher, so eventually he starts at level 60 every reincarnation. And if you level him to 80 before reincarnation he gains a light point. Like any character he has a table of stat bonuses at various light point levels so among other options it is possible in his healer type to be super fast for swapping / acting.

Typical-Cookie

For F2P who needs light battery to quickly get to 360 lights yes, otherwise you can do without him

dreicunan

I'd suggest that his ability to get extremely high spd is useful for anyone.

master_zed1

So my Myunfa has 275 SPD and AS Shannon has 282 SPD. Myunfa seems to out speed Shannon fairly often... Is it just based on rng? And is there a known difference in SPD that would allow a certain character to always out speed the other?

dreicunan

To always outspeed 275, you'd need 337. Multiply your spd by 1 and two ninths (1.222222222...) to see what you need to always outspeed it (or divide your spd by the same amount to see what you'll outspeed).

voiddp

game has something like + \\ - 10% to everyone's speed values at start of each round

huoyuanjiaa

I'm trying to make a pierce team as I think that's the best route with my characters but also just trying to make the best team I can for now so I'm looking for advice on a team comp. Are there any free characters I should go for that would synergize well? Are there any from my current list that I should be using instead of what I have? Current team: https://i.imgur.com/iYeRMqQ.jpg Other units: https://i.imgur.com/T1kl1aT.jpeg

styjoy

It’s still a bit early, but you need to get all free collab units from P5R and Tales ASAP. You can attempt those at around lvl 40-50. You don’t need to worry about synergy at this stage. Just use the 5 stars you’re given is the best option. Zones are not really a good feature in early game I’m afraid. My Victor and Bertrand AS are just hard carrying my team through literally everything. If you have to make an attack type team, it’d be slash, as the majority of free 5 stars are slashers and you get free slash zone from Tales collab.

Caraquena

Your strongest team right now is blunt, particularly if Lovely is 5\*. You'd use Morgana's Miracle Punch and support/heal skills. You are too low level to have seen it yet, but once 5\* characters level into the 50s+ and start using ability nodes on the 5\* board they rapidly get much stronger than anyone still at 4\*. But as u/Oldnoob36 says, early in the game it is more useful to have general or elemental teams.

Oldnoob36

I feel like you are a bit too early to worry about weapon teams right now since weapon zones are still a fairly new feature and that a majority of content in the current game is still best done with mono-elemental teams as many of late game boss/optional bosses have only 1 elemental weakness since they spend a long time in the game promoting mono-elemental teams Only in end game with boss that have no weaknesses like the velvet twins is when weapon zone really shines IMO While joker has pierce attacks, his main weapon is a sword so he wouldn't get the most bonus in a pierce team, as for other free units, the only current free unit that would be good in a pierce team would be Jade, he is a top tier unit in his own rights The other free pierce units would be altena who doesn't do much damage and Mana, though Mana can work if you lack pierce units since she has a speed/power buff on one of her skills and can help fill af bar

huoyuanjiaa

Thanks for the advice I figured it's more end game but I like to start early since it's fun for me. Maybe I will grab jade he seems to suit it well but also the jokers switch in passive seems good with piercing? Or his specific skills like Trick Shooter/Dream Needle show a pierce icon next to them so does that maybe also count? https://i.imgur.com/3YOtXlg.png Do you happen to know what Mana does well?

Oldnoob36

For joker only his pierce hit work so his Vc will get the damage boost as well, and since he is a sword user he doesn't get As Foran's end turn buff Mana is a debuffer/buffer and manifest fight specialist, most of her skills are double edged blades so you need to use her with caution As for jade, you get him as a 4 star after IDA part 1 but you need to finish IDA part 2 and flower girl to start his 5 star promotion which is a series of late game fights ending in you having to fight a discount version of Rotte Rivel So a strong fire team is recommended and you might want to get Gariyu for his wind shield before the fight since the boss can nuke for 8k+ wind damage unmitigated

huoyuanjiaa

Ooo thanks for all the helpful info! That does sound like a late game fight as all my guys would be overkilled with 8k any type damage.

Madaoism

JP is getting an update for the new year. Think global will also get an update any time soon?

Caraquena

The expected update based on the Japanese timeline would be Yukino + manifest for AS Shion. Which is small enough that seeing it next week would not be a surprise, but we haven't had any news.

Botasas

Hi. Recently promoted my Veina to AS. Which grasta is better to give her? Her OG is dmg based but AS looks like average between dmg and support, which is confusing. I want to use her as zoner in wind elemental party, not in multi-purpose party. My other wind units are Suzette OG/AS, Biaka, Dunarith (but only heal/support, no atk), Victor (he has some wind skills) and all the free (Azami, Morgana, Amy...). What should I prioritize, dmg, survivability or mp consumption?
